We moved away 7 years ago and were just passing through so we had to come back and were thrilled they were still here. Everything was just as we remembered and food/service was excellent.

The service was friendly and efficient. However, the overpriced food left a lot to be desired. The green curry that accompanied the pork dish was an unappetizing slate brownish color. We won't return.

Asian Café & Grill is a hidden gem that you have to try today! The food is amazing! The halibut is my favorite and my favorites list is growing! Also, the service is the best! Simon is absolutely the best waiter in Northern Colorado!

Delicious! The House fried rice is so good! THis is a vietnamese restaurant that serves a wide variety of other Asian foods. I rteally love that the tea is free and jasmine scented!

Lunch specials are a fantastic deal! You get a small sampling of soup, a spring roll, salad, and your meal for around $6.50. I got the sweet & sour shrimp! Wouldn't recommend the sushi. It was pretty poorly cut.

Asain Cafe.... Where everything is good but the Chinese food! I go here and get Vietnamese specialties and they are excellent! The grilled combo rice noodle bowl is my favorite! Sushi is pretty good and So is the Sesame to fu. I dislike the Chinese dishes... Cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken, teriaki chicken and beef... its all meh. They have an epic huge menu though so yo can find something! Atmosphere and service is great! They do delivery too!

Yesterday afternoon I called the Asian Café & Grill for a carry out to bring lunch to my friend who recently had surgery. They are very nice and friendly over the phone and were very helpful. However, they charge and extra $.50 for the soup bowls for the soup that comes with the lunch - which was an extra $2.00 and then they charge for brown rice - another $.50. I don't like being charged for things that come with meals and have to pay for take out. I will not order take out again, and they charge for the brown rice in the restaurant.

Had Lunch here today, Decent Pad Thai. Didn't blow me away, but it was good. Definitely a solid good.

Meh. Just meh. Food is mediocre for the price. Service is never consistent and sometimes downright terrible, especially the delivery service. This is because of the inconsistency of getting the order correct.

This is one of our go to places when we want to go out to dinner or get carry out. They have a huge menu which can be a little bit overwhelming but offers something for just about everyone. I see that a couple people expressed concern with the prices... I eat a lot of Asian food and feel like the prices are in line for what they're offering. This is not your cheapo cheapo Chinese takeout kind of place. The portions are medium to large. We usually have leftovers. We order a lot of takeout from here as well and our orders have always been accurate, well packaged and timely.

It's a solid 2. I've been here a couple of times since my last review; nothing really screams "Asian Cafe deserves more stars!". It's hard for me to criticize without trying to find something positive first, so here it is: My favorite dish is the Vietnamese Salad (with cabbage and grilled meat). Sharp tangy and tart flavors of the dressing contrast with the sweetness of the grilled meat (I forget whether it's beef or pork). The portion is generous and it left me satisfied. But I ordered takeout last time: the Drunken noodles were the most lackluster production that I've ever been served. They looked so nice and seasoned (brown with sauce), but there was absolutely NO flavor whatsoever. I had Noodles soon after and it's a sad day when a "White Boy" run chain beats out a local Asian restaurant for flavor. My husband ordered the Pad Thai as a spicy dish. The spice level was dialed way down, the flavor was pretty pedestrian. I'm glad other Asian options have opened up in town. Asian Cafe is going to have to work harder to keep pleasing the masses, IMO.

Onion much? ... Dont get me wrong, I'm a big onion fan; however, it was incredibly over whelming with onions. I had 4 separate dishes (my family shares something different) and each one was drenched with sliced onion ... that's all we ate! We ordered the lettuce wraps - onion, and Mongolian beef - onion, Thai Chicken - onion and fried rice!! What the heck? Is there a new chef in town that has taken over Asian Cafe that cannot live or breathe without onions? I spent over $40 on take out food and ate mainly onion for dinner. The 2 star is because I have eaten here a few times before and was satisfied. My husband said that we will never order here again.

Excellent Asian and sushi. Service has always been prompt and attentive. Not much privacy so it's not real good for a business lunch or romantic date.

Delivery order. Order was all messed up. We asked for soy wrap in place of nori-which was clarified by order taker- but we got nori. We ordered fire rice but didn't receive it. We ordered sauces (soy, duck, etc) but didn't receive any. If the food were even halfway decent, we would have overlooked the mix ups, but the food was so bad that even our dogs wouldn't eat it.

I eat food from this place fairly regularly (it's the preferred choice for takeout when my family gets together), so giving it only two stars might seem surprising. It's probably true that it is overall the best "asian" take-out in Loveland, but that doesn't make it terrific food. In fact, the strength and the weakness of this place is summed up in the name: "Asian" Cafe & Grill. The strength is that menu includes items from Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese cuisines, which adds for a fair amount of variety. Unfortunately, they don't execute any of those cuisines particularly well or particularly authentically, which can be disappointing if you are already familiar with those cuisines. I grew up in Loveland and now live in Berthoud, but also spent a dozen years in the SF Bay Area, and compared with even average stuff out there Asian Grill falls short. The food isn't bad, it's just not all that great. We've also had occasional problems with missing items in our take-out orders (usually the crystal rolls), but to their credit they've always corrected the issue with no hassle. That said, there frankly aren't a lot of better options in town (and worse definitely do exist). Sushi is currently the exception, as Zensai does some pretty good stuff. If you live south of town, you might consider trying Longmont, which has a few more cuisine-specific options (Thai Kitchen on the north end, Angkor on the south). Another choice on the north end of Longmont is East Moon, which has many of the same issues as Asian Grill, but is at the very least good for a menu changeup.

Great Sushi! I'm not a big raw fish eater...(I know, I know..I'm a cheater) so I get the California Roll and it is SOOO GOOD! The sushi chef is definitly a pro! The food itself is pretty tasty as well, try the cashew chicken. The Miso Soup is fun and yummy! Oh yeah...the seaweed salad! (My friend introduced me to that one!) If you are hungry for chinese then I would recommend this place to anyone!

While my family and I had enjoyed a couple of nice experiences here, the past several times, anything that has chicken in it tastes "off", the service bad and the waitstaff primarily consists of very inexperienced teens in need of some mentoring. I can say the restaurant has a nice ambiance (and has outdoor seating if you desire to gaze upon the King Soopers parking lot). Our recent trips over the past six months dictate that we will never go back. The sushi is okay but way overpriced but how many places can you get sushi in Loveland? and delivered?

Japanes/Vietnamese style cuisine with a sushi bar (not as good as Suehiro in Ft. Collins, but still very good). Food is high quality and service is attentive. Good lunch specials. Though reasonably inexpensive, a decent choice for a semi-formal night out.

This is my 2nd review, with my first review being four stars, but focusing mostly on the pepper tofu, which is delicious. This is more of an overall rating based on recent service. We live close by, so we order from here frequently, but lately we are choosing to order take out from here less and less. In the past few months we have twice ordered appetizers that had hair in them. The first time we did not complain (pain in the butt with take-out), but the 2nd time it happened we called and told them about it. To their credit, they offered a credit for the food, but not a refund. Since we new we would order again that was okay for us. But the woman on the phone (the manager) seemed doubtful that we had actually found hair in our food, claiming that all of her cooks have short hair. All I know is twice we had long black hair in our food, the first time it was in a tofu crystal roll, and the 2nd time it was in the lettuce wraps appetizer. We no longer order appetizers from there. Today we called in an order for Kung Pao Tofu, which is what I usually order. I didn't check the order before I left the restaurant, so I didn't notice until I got home that they had given me the wrong thing (apparently some tofu lunch special?). I called immediately, and they offered to replace it without hesitation, which was nice. I drove back to the restaurant, and the food was ready pretty quickly. The woman behind the counter opened it while I was there to make sure it was correct. I noticed there was broccoli, which does not usually come with the Kung Pao, but shrugged it off since it would be easy to pick out (I'm not a broccoli fan). When I got home I realized that the double tofu I had ordered was missing (just the normal amount in the dish), and the vegetables were entirely different from what is usually included in the Kung Pao - I tried to eat them, but carrots and snow peas are just not very tasty in Kung Pao sauce - the flavors do not compliment at all. So, my two trips to the restaurant today, I got less than what I paid for, and a dish that was not at all like it normally is, except for the sauce and the tofu. On the plus side, they offer steamed brown rice which is always done well, and the service is usually quite friendly and prompt.

We have lived near this place for a while but finally decided to try it for take out tonight. The person who answered the phone didn't seem to now anything about the dishes when I asked questions, and kept putting me on hold to get the answers. I ended up ordering Pad Thai and Pho Tai. It was ready on time and bagged up well. When we got home, we discovered the pho was in two separate containers - one was broth, one was the raw meat, rice noodles and veggies. They took a lot of time to wrap the meat up in plastic. I'm glad I knew that if I heated up the broth, it would cook the meat. Still, kind of an odd way to do it. Tasted fine. The pad Thai had a strong thick sauce and some of the chicken was grisly, and almost no egg mixed it. Not bad, and a good portion size. Just not great.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
