I seriously cannot say enough great things about Wing Shack. We used them for the first time today to order wings for the game. We chose them after being long time Wing Hut fans, but chose Wing Shack after seeing their delivery vehicle around town (Wing Hut does not deliver). When they got here, I was stressed out about some holiday family logistics and missed seeing a second bag full of food. So absentmindedly, I thought part of our order might be missing. I ran out to the delivery driver and stopped him to query about the rest of my order and he suggested I hop into his truck to discuss (the weather was crazy bad and snowy). He called the Shack and they helped me sort out my mistaken order (remember, the mistake was actually mine in the end, not theirs) and did it with a smile. Even even came all the way back into my home to locate the "missing" items and was incredibly gracious about the whole mishap. They have made a serious fan out of me following this chance encounter with their amazing attention to customer service. Thanks so much Team! I will be ordering wings from you from here on out;)

Pretty good wings. We popped in here on the way home from my kid's sporting event in places North, when the warrior requested wings as her meal of triumph. The medium wings were flavorful and crisp, and my kids liked the honey BBQ wings. The Cajun dry rub wings were very crispy outside and tender inside, but way way too salty, as were the fries. We tried so hard to power through the seasoning, but just couldn't eat any more salt! I finally asked them to replace one large order with one with less seasoning, and they did, but the replacement order had no salt or seasoning. I guess that is less! To their credit, the dining room was reasonably clean, and they offered to make my fries in the wing fryer to accommodate my celiac disease, without my asking. So kind! They checked on us partway through the meal, which is uncommon with cafeteria style service. Their service earned the 4th star. If I'm ever in Longmont again, this place is in the running.

Definitely a good wing place. Feels like a very comfortable small hole in the wall. But their wings and sauces are good, they have a good beer selection, and the staff is nice. I ordered the top 2 hottest things that weren't the wall-of-flame challenge wings and was happily surprised. The Even Hotter was pretty much my definition of a good spicy wing sauce. The Burning Hot was also pretty good, though it was just a bit one-dimensional. Definitely would have it again though, and probably go for their challenge wings. My only minor complaint was that the wings were a little bit small and a tiny bit over cooked. But the sauce was so good I'd totally get them again.

The fries. So much seasoning. SO MUCH SEASONING. -Drenches in ketchup- Better. 8D But the wings were good, albeit a bit overcooked. Teriyaki; The sauce was a bit.. Watery, I guess it would be? Didn't stick very well to the actual wings, and dripped a lot.

I'm trying to figure out why someone would give this place a 1 star review. Maybe it's a competitor from the Wing Hut? Can't tell. These guys take wings (and chicken, along with anything fried) very seriously. They have over a dozen different sauces (like hot, even hotter, burning hot, cajun garlic, etc.) and several dry rubs that give you an incredible choice of combo's for their various chicken meals. Small 6 wing meal, no problem. You want 100 wings? They can do that. Boneless? Yep. They have a rather scary menu of 'starters/fries that's basically, all heart stopping (literally.. as in, will cause a heart attack) fried foods from regular fries to mushrooms to pickles (all hand breaded). Rocky Mountain Oysters? Uh Huh. Hand dipped corn dog? Yea, they do that. All with available wild hot cajun sauce. This isn't just fried food. This is DANGEROUS fried food. The best kind. It may kill you, but man, what a way to go. Today I had the Western burger. A hand made burger (kinda like Five Guys does) where they shape it into a ball, make a hole in it, put in special seasonings and oil and squish it down and grill it up, all with a big onion ring on top and cheese melted just perfectly over the ring with kickass homemade BBQ sauce. And, it was freaking beautiful. What do I mean beautiful? Well, the burger LOOKED like the kind of burgers you see in those ads on TV where it's juicy and the breads fresh and full and the cheese is ooozzzing down the sides. That's how these guys MAKE the burgers. Not for a TV ad, but for ME. So, for under $10, I got a awesome burger, basket full of freshly fried up fries with just the right amount of salt, a soda and 3 chocolate chip cookies (3!). A full day of calories in one meal for under $10? Priceless. They also have some more mainstream fare.. you can get a salad, they have sandwiches, they have wraps and children sized meals. So, if you've got your healthy girlfriend or boyfriend there with you they can nosh on something that's 'reasonable' (i.e. won't give them a heart attack in the restaurant). Also.. this is not a franchise. It's a small family operation (a family of, I believe, 4..I saw the mom, dad, brother and sister while I was there). I think each of them asked me at least once how it was when they walked by. Very service oriented. Bottom line: If you're into healthy eating, this may not be your cup of coffee beans. Go have some sushi. If you want hard core American food Wing Shack's your joint. Sooooo.... overall, loved this local family run place. As a restaurant, it's a 4 to 4.5 star. But because it's NOT a chain and family owned, and Charlie Y. trashed them in a slightly suspect and unfair fashion, at least compared to my own experiences, I'm going with a 5 star on this one.

A few of us at work decided to try this place. Every time, it took over 45 minutes for the food to be delivered. When it was delivered, it was cold and soggy. (Think cold and soggy burgers, fries, and wings. Oh my.). The last time we ordered from here, I ordered a burger wrapped in lettuce with the toppings on the side. I got a cheeseburger with all the toppings on the burger and the bun on the side. This was after waiting 90 minutes for our food, which happened to be cold and soggy yet again. We called back and they said they would send over a plain burger with the toppings on the side. They said it would be 45 minutes. 1 hour and 15 minutes later, we call to ask where the food is since my shift was almost over. They said that they would just put it towards the next meal. (Like I'm going to order from them again. Me thinks not). They then said they would be over in 15 minutes. Another 45 minutes later, the food finally arrives. Cold again. The food is decent (or at least it would be if it weren't cold) but it's just not worth the hassle and it's obviously not fresh.

Flavor of wing sauces are good. Prices are decent. The atmosphere was not what we were looking for. We were in search of a sports bar experience with good wings and fun wait staff. This is a quaint little place with decent food and service. Just not what we were looking for. And the wings were tiny and overcooked. They also got our order wrong.

Went here because of the previous review about their burgers (which they just added over the summer I guess). And the burgers are excellent, 1/4lb and 1/2lb with lots of toppings. also available as a combo (fries, drink, under $10 for a 1/2lb). Made to order and fresh, really good burger. Wings were good. deep fried, real sauce, good flavor without being overwhelmingly hot. Lots of celery and dressing to dip into. A little expensive on the wings, but wings aren't ever cheap. Ordered 12, but certainly got more than 12 wings in the order. Very clean and well organized, no trash anywhere, TV's on the wall (football), open quite a few hours. We'll be back.

We'd noticed the person in the chicken costume waving outside and thought, meh. But one day we decided to try it. We're so glad we did. It's a great family-owned local place. Our wings had plenty of sauce that was as hot as promised. I was definitely sweating. The blue cheese dipping sauce had nice quality. And the leftover wings were great cold the next day. The fries are great, too. Our kids loved everything they are. They loved that they could catch the Broncos on the tv while waiting for the order. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

This wing shack has my business any time I feel like wings. The customer service is very good. The wings are perfectly made. I'm amazed at how buffalo wild wings stays in business. Please try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because Debbie is pretty awesome. Other than that it's expensive, my four year old's corn dog came to the table about 10 minutes after the rest of the food (it shouldn't take 25 minutes to make a corn dog, I don't care if it is made from scratch) and two of the sauces we paid extra for tasted exactly the same. Chicken wings are one of my favorite foods, but this place just made me want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings the next day. Seriously disappointed.

I didn't know walking in that I would like Wing Shack this much. I still can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something about this place that just yells "family" and makes you feel right at home. The interior is not great, but it's clean. The cashier was friendly and explained the sauces, and he mentioned that all wings were made to order and that it would be 10-15 minutes. I was happy to wait, and it was worth it! The celery was cut into smaller pieces than usual which was nice, the blue cheese tasted fresh made and was pungent and tart and fantastic. The wings were of prodigious size and fried perfectly with just the right amount of crackle on the skin and steaming softness in the meat. Managerial staff (and I believe an owner also?) strolled around asking how everything was, and even reminded me that refills on drinks are free. Interior be damned, this is the quality and service I expect in a restaurant, and I will absolutely be back. Word to the wise: if you're used to other chains' heat levels, level up here. The second hottest wasn't much of a challenge so I'm hitting the hottest next time I go :-)

Nothing fancy, but great wings and nice mom & pop shop feeling. Had to wait 20 minutes for the wings to cook, but that is a good thing. I have been going here for over a year, and the wings are consistently good. Basic atmosphere, with plenty of TV's.

    (4)
  • Mo D.

Pretty good basic wings. Many other offerings as well. The sauces are basic but flavorful. Wings are small and so are the portions. Don't expect much celery. Over priced for the quality and quantity of food.

I have to give them one star for their delivery service! We ordered at 6pm and finally received the order TWO hours later after we called to find out where it was. When we finally got it the whole order was COLD and the wing sauce had dripped over everything. I CANNOT tell you how it tasted. I could not eat it!

    (1)
  • Renee A.

The spicy teriaki and the spicy garlic wings are so great. My wings are nice and crispy everytime I order and its never swimming in sauce. The fries could arrive (when i get delivery) a bit less soggy for me, otherwise great food! The delivery drivers are also awesome when delivering!

    (4)
  • Dietra P.

Wings are cooked crispy, which is what we prefer. Their sauce is very flavorful; whichever you decide, they're all very good. Only recommendation would be to not cut your celery into bite sized pieces. Cut the celery into thirds like everyone else. Small pieces make it difficult to dip without getting your fingers messy.

Wind Beneath My Wings Wing Shack is definitely not for everyone and I can totally see that! At first, I was a little iffy on the place. The man of the house would always order from the shack because he just loves their lemon pepper wings but I wasn't a huge fan. I guess the reviews that I've read really tainted my opinions. After many-a-try, I guess it really grew on me. The delivery guy is the same person each and every time which is cool because now he has this little bond with the hubs. We also tip them real well ten, fifteen bones, maybe more if we rack up a tab. They seem grateful about it which is nice. They also know when we're calling since they have a little system. They have it noted that we always ask for "all flats" which they can't guarantee but usually do an awesome job at accommodating the request. One time they even forgot a sandwich in our delivery and I called to see if they charged us. They did and had someone ship it over to us with a few extras (fries & dips) which was thoughtful. The food is pretty good but they can sometimes over season but I don't mind shaking some of it off with no second thought. They take care of us and that's more then I can ask for. I'm sure they can slip up from time to time and use a little sprucing up here and there but, for me & my fam, the Wing Shack is a great local joint that won our hearts.

I really enjoy wing shack!!!. Have tried it multiple times and am never disappointed. The wings are nice and crispy, not soggy and they have a very good selection of appetizers that are just as good. My favorite is the fried mac and cheese. The only downfall I have had is that their delivery is fairly slow. I mostly order on the weekend so I'm guessing that plays a part in the delivery time. Great wing place. Waaaay better than bdubs imo.

I gave this place 2 tries. After a bad experience, I always give a new restaurant the benefit of the doubt. First time I ordered for delivery. I took almost an hour to get the food. When the driver got there, he did not apologize or off the give me a discount or even a coupon. He just blamed it on a driver not showing up. Strike one. The wings were ok. Nothing really blew me away. I also ordered fried zucchini and mushrooms and there was nothing special about them either. Made from frozen prepackaged food I suspect. The breading fell right off when I bit into them. Strike two. Lastly, they forget to send ranch and celery with the wings as listed on the menu, and forgot my french fries. Strike three and four. So, I figured I'd give them a few weeks to work out the bugs and give it another try. This time I went to the store and ordered take out. I ordered the Thursday special with 18 wings and fries. Some fried zucchini again, cheese sticks and another 6 wings. When I arrived there was a large group of kids who had already ordered and one other take out order in front of me. I was told 20 - 25 minutes. I sat there for 40 minutes waiting for my food, watching as the brought food out for the large group 1 order at a time. It took so long to serve them, they had to take about 4 orders with them to go. My order finally arrived, 15 - 20 minutes after promised and I headed home. I should have checked the order: french fries were missing.... again. Same average wings, same frozen zucchini and cheese sticks that were barely cooked. I did get the ranch and celery this time, but it's still not enough to make me go back. Seems to me that customer service is not on anyone's mind at this place. And the quality of the food is so low, that I can't overlook the service. I'd like to think that frying up a few things and tossing them in sauce doesn't need to take 40 minutes. It frightens me to think how long it would take if they were busy. Stick with BWW or Wing Hut, save yourself the aggravation.

I usually don't write bad reviews, this is my first one, but I've been to the Wing Shack twice in the last 30 days. Both times the wings were way below standard with virtually no sauce and to add insult to injury they cost more than BWW. The people are nice but if this is a franchise, the franchiser is doing a very bad job with QC and or operating guidance. I won't be back. Unfortunately it looks like this business is doomed.
