Best deep dish pizza I've had in years! Nothing else is as good as it around here. The ingredients seemed fresh, and I want it again as soon as possible!

I don't like doing reviews for massive chains but... just in case anyone is in Longmont (PS- why are you in Longmont?????) and is looking for some grub, just know this place is NOT the Old C's you grew up with. Long gone are the days where pizza was the staple here. When I came in this past weekend and looked at the menu I thought I was in a Chili's or something! Only a small portion of the menu Is pizza options- it's now mostly salads, sandwiches, pasta, etc. They even have a "SoCal" food menu... WTF! Whyyyy! They have abandoned their roots much to my dismay. We still ordered a pizza because that is why we went there and it tasted like Pizza Hut (that's not a good thing). +1 star for still having Italian nachos (nachos from heaven). +1 star for our waitress- she ruled. Go somewhere else if you want a good pizza...Sad face.

Jenn & I had dinner here while on Star-Days 2015, the food is good, the service is great, the place is clean, but sorry no senior or military discounts to help out with their prices.

Like just about every old Chicago on the planet lately, this is a decently appointed place with friendly service and a Colorado-beer-gut-worthy beer selection. The service was very friendly and accommodating but slowed way way way down about halfway through our meal. No seriously for a minute there I thought time was actually moving backwards. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. For my money the Boulder location is still the best.

The food was fine, ya know, it was Old Chicago. Not great, not terrible. The service, however, was atrocious. We saw our waitress twice. Food took ages to appear, and we didn't get our salads until after she came with our check and we told her we'd never gotten them. My water glass was never refilled. We watched three tables get served the wrong food, and one other couple near us. never got the small plates we heard them asked for twice. Just pathetic!

Everyone was really nice. The food came out fast & was very good.... I had the Chicken Pesto Panini... I appreciate how friendly the staff was to me. Brian, I believe the manager on duty, listened to my request to add an additional rum. I am definitely going back again because I want to try the jalapeño cheese pretzels.

I got hair in my pizza. I ate 3/4 of it and almost vomited. Delicious pizza regardless. New server was nicer than last time (approx 4 months ago) and the dishes were clean this time. Last time was horrific. The place is just kinda BORING.

Absolutely the worst place I've ever eaten dog food had a better taste than anything I've tried from here the calamari could only feed one person the burger tasted like a rock with card board as the breading nothing was worth coming here for never ever again!!! How is this horrible place still open and not to mention our waiter was the worst she never came to check if we needed refills or not just all around a horrible experience

Bad Chicago style pizza. I have been going here over 20 years an used to love their pizza. However it has gone downhill over the last 1-2 years. Last night I bought a large, Chicago style pizza. The outside crust, the one without any toppings, was TWO INCHES WIDE! I will find another place to buy deep dish pizza!

This place has been going down hill for the past 6 months. The service takes forever!!! They couldn't even bring water out at a timely manner, never mind the beer. The salads sometime even take about 30 min for it to come out. There have also been times where they forget to put sauce on the chicken wings. When we approached the management about it recently they just shrugged their shoulders and disregarded our feedback. If your looking to get your food and a beer in a timely manner I would not try coming here. I know of a few locals that don't come here anymore because the service is so terrible. Took me 5 hours to get a pizza and get 3 beers (when I wanted more). Oh did I mention they couldn't serve us anymore beers because they ran out of glasses? What kind of place runs out of glasses!?!? I know other Old Chicago's are not this bad. The management is just screwed up.

This place is nasty. The service was abysmal and the food terrible. We ordered calamari. What we got looked nothing like calamari and it certainly didn't taste like it. Just rock hard chunks of batter with something green inside. Dinner not much better. Every time we needed something had to ask for it. I usually avoid places like this but we wanted junk food and we got it.

We used to go to Old Chicago a lot more often. The food was good and they always had a GREAT selection of beer. So many craft and microbrew choices!! Until we started noticing a disturbing trend. Of the last 10+ times we've been to Old Chicago, they have CONSISTENTLY (as in every single time) been out of our first-choice beer. It doesn't matter if it's the Sam Adams Seasonal or a more obscure porter from a smaller brewer...it never fails! And mind you, we are often there at dinner time (7ish) on a Friday or Saturday. Prime beer-drinking time. In fact, last night they were out of the first FOUR choices I wanted! So I ended up getting a Blue Moon. Really, Old Chicago? All those labels and I'm reduced do a Blue Moon? It may not seem like a big deal. And honestly, had this been the case once or twice, it really wouldn't be. But every time? C'mon. There is only one time I can recall the pizza being sub-par; it was a Chicago style (deep dish) and it was grossly undercooked. Like, the dough was pretty much raw. Gross! As I recall, we let our waitress know and they sent us home with another pizza - gratis. I don't know. I can get a good pizza anywhere. We go there for a good pizza AND an expansive beer selection. Without the latter, it's just meh. Probably 2.5 stars from this girl...just being a tad generous with the three stars up top.

If it werent for our server, Haley, saving the night by being an overall awesome person, I would be leaving 0 stars. We had a bumpy start and thought she was to blame. But after we noticed she had her hands Full with a 30+ party, it was obvious the rest of the staff was to blame. We watched numerous servers ignore us and even the manager watched as our night was ruined. After a long day, we chose Old Chicago to enjoy a beer and dinner and that was a mistake. Thank you Haley for the great service. The rest of the staff needs to step up their game.

I really wanted to give 2 stars but the experience was just that offensive. I can't even really explain how bad this experience was but I actually feel a little bit offended which rarely happens to me. The music was filthy and service was downright poor. I would not recommend bringing your family here after 10pm for a meal. I hope they get their act together. This used to be one of the great spots to go in Longmont. Go to Red Zone.

Fair to midlin food. Wait staff is hit or miss. Pizza was the wrong size. Ignored no onion request. Told us they'd bring us comp pizza to take home but then decided to charge us for the redo. Never brought our salads. The beer selection is second to none...but maybe only drink here. Eat elsewhere.

My five star review hinges on Jess, the bartender that was tending this evening. I went in for a quick beer and dessert. As someone who has managed restaurants and bars, she is a keeper. Great energy, humor and attentiveness. That is rare. Thank you for the great service. I stay next door quite a bit, so the chances of me being back are greatly increased.

Best pizza in longmont. With $5 you call it's there is no better happy hour after 10 than Old Chicago I work in the industry. I can truly say for a late night drink Old Chicago is the place to go. With amazing waitstaff like Miranda and awesome bartenders you can't go wrong at Old Chicago.

Love the environment, the servers, the food and the beer selection. I am an avid customer and I always leave satisfied.

We decided to try Old Chicago in Longmont because we had a great experience at the Centerra store in Loveland. The Longmont store is in serious need of renovation. The ceiling tiles are stained black and the rest hasn't been touched in 20 years. The manager was walking around trying to look busy, but never came over to ask how things were. The food was average, but it came luke warm, probably because our waitress wasn't on top of things. There were other signs that she wasn't. In Loveland, one of the most popular beer mixes is called 90 Rock, half Odell's 90 Shilling and half Kona Fire Rock. Our waitress had no clue that was a drink. We will spend our money at other local restaurants that have a better overall dining experience.

It's not Chi-Town, but it's close and if you head to the bar it's a great place to eat pizza, watch games and drink beer. As for the pizza itself, it's not bad. Sure, it falls short of true Chicago style pizza, but this is Denver. It's expected. And, in this area it's some of the better pizza around. If it's pizza and beer you want (and a decent salad) this is your spot.

Billed as a watch party location for the CU Buffs, they only had 3 sets playing the Cal-CU game, all with the volume turned down. Yes, you read that correctly, the volume was turned down. Go to the Lazy Dog to hang with buds, drinking beers and watching Buffs football. Go to Old Chicago if you want undercooked bar food and want to tolerate indifferent servers and other peoples unruly children.

1/2 empty on Mother's day, service was extremely slow. Always loved Old Cs went every Friday for 6 years, every site we've been to in the past year seem to have lost its appeal in food and service.

I rarely give reviews on yelp but this was such a bad experience I felt it was my duty to get the word out. Our group of four came in around 11pm on a Saturday night after an indoor soccer game which is just down the street. Knowing the restaurant was open late we thought we would go get a pizza. The dining area was empty but the bar area seemed busy. No one was there to seat us, we waited awhile then a waitress said we could sit wherever we want. We got a booth in the bar area figuring we might get quicker service, wrong.... It took more than 10 minutes before a server even noticed us. I had to grab menus and silverware from the host area on my own. Finally got someone to take our order, pizza and nachos, which were very sub par. My biggest complaint though is the non existence of any management. They were blasting music that was extremely vulgar and offensive. Maybe something you would hear at a dive bar at 2am. I don't recall hearing music like this out in public anywhere, ever! I know it was late but come on, do you really do that at a restaurant that appeals to family's? I'm sure we weren't the first group to come over from the soccer arena. Whoever was in charge there deserves to be fired, the wait staff there should be embarrassed. Not like the Old Chicagos I grew up with in Boulder, what a shame. Stay away from this mess!

  • Danielle S.

I am disappointed that the bar staff isn't open to suggesting beers beyond his/her own preferences. I prefer a bartender that asks: "what style of beer do you recommend?" Instead of, "What beer do you want?". I wasn't impressed that the bartender stated that he/she didn't like anything that the locals could offer. Umm... You have 30 draft handles. If you want to work at an uber corporate that doesn't offer local... Work at BWW.

Exceptional service. Great food and value. Excellent beer and food menu. Kids menu great too. My 11 YO daughter ordered a chicken salad off the kids menu! Couldn't have been happier. We stayed at the hotel next door and just walked over as a family of five and were seated right away and the server was so attentive and personable. We are a family of five traveling to Yellowstone and stayed in Longmont just one night en route. Would love to stay longer if we didn't have reservations elsewhere.

Well........ our waiter was a big cocky, arrogant d-bag. He tossed the coaster AT my mother, forgot our straws, was giving us attitude while we were ordering..... it was TOTALLY unnecessary. Food was -- meh...... We got a pepperoni, sausage, & mushroom pizza. There were ginormous chunks of garlic in literally every bite. Nowhere in the description does it say garlic chunks. It was gross. We also tried a make your own 1/2 off calzone which was good. I'd only go back for this special.

Used to be much better before Craftworks took over. Decent food and usually a good beer list. Still trying to find it's identity since the takeover.

Just okay. During a recent visit to Longmont, I ate twice at Old Chicago. Each time I had one of what they called their "artisan" pizzas. One was prosciutto and mushroom, and the other was pepperoni. I am a Chicagoan. That means I've eaten a lot of pizza. A lot. The prosciutto and mushroom was the better of the two. It had a strong but subtle flavor. The crust was well-cooked. I liked it a lot, and would have it a again. The pepperoni on the other hand . . . meh. A lot of cheese. Not a lot of pepperoni. And what happened to the crust? It was kind of mushy. Disappointing. It was probably better than you'd get from a 7-11, but it certainly wasn't better than any other slice of pepperoni pizza I've had in my entire life. Service was fine. A waitress named Jess was very professional and prompt. Decor is very traditional Chicago-style stuff. I thought it was very ironic that I traveled a thousand miles to eat Chicago-style pizza. And the place does resemble oh so many pizza places/bars in and around Chicago, so I guess you could say it's authentic. The menu does include deep dish pizza and Italian beef. If they included Chicago-style hot dogs (no ketchup, with celery salt, on sesame seed bun), they'd complete the trifecta of traditional Chicago high-caloric food. I did not have beer, so can't comment on that. Would be nice, though, if they could get Old Style. Now that's Chicago!

friendly staff, large beers, great happy hour specials and good food. This is a fun place to hang out and chat and enjoy good company. The prices are reasonable as well.

Was good in the past. However, they served up food poisoning to my boss and I with last night's meal; nachos came with dinner; and a waitress, while nice, provided misleading beer comparisons (90 Schilling is not at all similar to IPA). One star.

  • Eric W.

Best pizza in town! There meat me is my favorite but all are great. Crust is really chewy and buttery! For a twist on nachos try the Italian nachos they have... They are incredible. Pasta chips with pepperoni and sausage. If you like beer this is the place to be also with over 100 different kinds and if you come here enough you could end up in the hall of foam!

Super nice staff and good food! I got the bbq chicken pizza and they use REAL RED BELL PEPPERS. I LOVE that they use those! It's so hard to find at a pizza place. Or any restaurant. Delicious! The chicken was awesome too, which is hard to find on a pizza. I got the thin crust (yum!) and they use cheddar on this pizza, not mozzarella! I'm in love!

  • Brian A.

Great beer selection, we've always been treated well by the staff and enjoy the food. However, it's really never anything special - their pizza's are a step up from Domino's / Pizza Hut, however not as good as a good local or home made pizza. That being said, I would go to Old Chicago's any day of the week and would walk away happy and full. Unfortunately there is just nothing that really stands out about them, other than they have a lot of good beers on tap.

I was just there a week or two ago and can't remember a single thing about the place except that my food was served lukewarm on a cold plate.

The only reason i didnt give 5 is small stuff that a lot of chains fall short on, but overa iwill be back and im looking forward to returning. Calzone lover and was shocked that the reg calzones where full price and only the new ones where on the special. This is a huge sign of corporate half way doing things. This was my first visit ever and im in my 40`s not into sport bars, but i love Calzones the pizzas are not worth the charge the looked to be like starbuck coffee just something to say u paid more for. I read some of the other reviews and there is easy fixes when you bus the tables leave 4 coasters, rollstaws in with the silver. All wait staff has to rrealize that the greatest food is trash if there customers dislike there service. Btw me and the wife had a great server.

I have ordered many things off the menu and felt pretty horrible for many hours afterwards. This has happened at multiple locations. Eat first, bring Pepto, and enjoy the beer and the games. Their saving grace is beer selection and popularity. Never a dull moment.

I love this place! This is one of the things I miss about Colorado the most. My wife and I had our second date there way back when. Everything on the menu is good. From the pizza to the fries everything comes out hot and fresh. I have never had a bad meal there. The beer is nice and cold, service is great even during busy times. also ask for the jerk fries. It is a spicy seasoning salt that is sprinkled on the fries. LOVE THIS PLACE!

I will never go there again. I've had multiple bad experiences; Not just with food, but also the staff. First time we went there, it was for a friend's birthday, a small small gathering of just 3 people to celebrate. It was empty in there, so we knew they weren't busy; But they never took our drink orders. We ended up having to get up and flag down a waitress after half an hour. We waited about another half hour to actually GET our drinks, and an hour ON TOP of that for food. So far, two hours in, just getting our food. They sat a mother and daughter behind us just before getting our food. Remember this. The broccoli in our friend's food, who's birthday it was, was dirty. Not sure if past the date, something, but it was.... Awful. While we were tasting his food [and being as disgusted as him], the waitress came back and MOVED the mother and daughter to another section. Away from us. And proceeded to steer clear of our section, so we couldn't get any help. We had no water/drinks, anything; We had asked for more when we got our food. But since they were ignoring our section, where we were now left alone, we couldn't get any service. Birthday Boy took his plate, and went directly to the kitchen, to wait for the waitress. Lo and behold, he caught her VERY quickly, and gave her the plate for at -LEAST- to get it remade. As he made his way back to our table, we hear the kitchen ROARING with laughter. That was the icing on the CAKE for the horrible service. Not to mention, when the manager came by to talk to us, he was just.. Condescending. And only wanted to give HALF OFF for the plate he COULDN'T EAT because it was BAD. Even though we'd been waiting so long and got NO SERVICE. It was just rude. Didn't go again for nearly a year. When I went back second and third times, it was.... Alright. Mediocre, but nowhere NEAR as bad as it had been the first. So, went there a fourth time. Our food took forever. They had forgotten to tell us that they substituted a meat in my roommate's calzone because they were out, let alone -asked- if it was okay. The meat was entirely different, and not even spicy. I'd gotten a steak and potatoes, and it was very dry, even a little burnt. I toughed through it, giving up since this was 'Just how Old Chicago Was'. I notice something under the potatoes. There was a curly hair UNDER my potatoes. RIGHT THERE. I have straight, short hair, and it was too long to be my roommates'. Not to mention I hadn't even touched the potatoes yet. I stopped eating right there, and we paid/left. I puked in their parking lot. Haven't been there since. Intolerable.

I had really amazing pizza here once but the last time I went it was not good at all...soggy and falling apart when I picked it up. Out of the last 5 times I went there, service was good for 2 of those times. The others, the waiters were completely rude and unfriendly. I like that I can get some midnight munchies besides fast food places....it's good if you're really hungry.... But honestly what do you expect from these types of restaurants? Nothing spectacular.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types.
