Stopped here every time I drove through the area. Amazing food, fun little dive restaurant with a cool atmosphere. Tried stopping today, and they're closed on Sundays. By principle, I don't care how good the food or atmosphere is, if you're a restaurant along the interstate you need to be open 7 days a week. Absolutely stupid business move and I won't stop again.

I stand firm in my belief that MUNCHIES is the best place to go for a moment of Zen when it comes to badass local cuisine. Been enjoying quality food and super friendly staff for over 10 yrs. Do yourself a favor and try MUNCHIES just once. I guarantee you'll be hooked for life.

We take our kids to Munchies after their soccer games to get ice cream. They are the best local restaurant in town for soft serve ice cream. They are always fast and very friendly.

Have really enjoyed the burgers and the Western chicken sandwich. Chef and antipasto salads were tasty. This is a very casual place, but they take care of you nicely. Seems to be a family/local spot with casual food. Pizza looks good, but haven't had it. I love a just good straightforward burger - one that fits in your mouth without unlocking your jaws and one that is dressed without frou frou toppings. This fits the bill.

We stopped the local mailman looking for a good burger joint that wasn't a chain. He suggested Munchies. I ordered the chicken wings. I thought they could've been a bit spicier (they weren't spicy at all), but other than that they were good. I also had an order of fries. They were good. My wife ordered the mushroom burger and onion rings and thoroughly enjoyed both. We considered getting shakes for dessert, but decided a few hours further down the road would be a good time to get something like that, so we passed. Anyway, I would definitely make this a stop anytime I'm heading through the Fruita/Grand Junction area of Colorado

For a conventional diner, it nails all of the dishes, and it's far better than the other options in the area. I recommend the Green Slopper and Waffle Cut fries, and also ask Francine to take you on a trip down memory lane!

Greasy and delicious. The BEST hamburger in the area. Great fries and Oreo shakes too. Highly recommend the jalapeño cheeseburger or the green slopper - trust me on this last one. Fun, laid-back atmosphere or QUICK delivery and take out.

Great burgers, green slopper is a fav of ours. They have a wide verity of food but i would recommend sticking to burgers and pizza. Tried the taco salad and it wasn't that great. They do free ice cream with kids meals if you eat there and have a small area in the back with mega blocks for the kids. The people there have all ways been very nice!

Hamburgers are great! I always order the veggie burger and they do the fried right. Julie is ready to sell or describe the specials, all the staff is on the ball. Wish they were open on Sundays and the flies are a pain.

Local favorite for burgers and pizza. Good old fashioned American diner food. Best real burger, fries and milkshake in the Grand Valley, period!

Traveling through town. Used Yelp to find a place for lunch. Both of us ordered different things but both orders came out fresh, and hot. I LOVED my Smoky Mountain Burger (minus the BBQ sauce) I would definitely stop here again! The service was fast and courteous. In fact since we ate in the car because we cod not leave the dogs in the heat, the food was brought out to us.

Pizza, subs, burgers, salads, ice cream and more ... This is a favorite among Fruita residents. -Booths and tables. -Nostalgic things on the walls, like the stuff you'd see in old diners. -Order at the counter; they'll call your name when it's ready. -Good grub. (You won't leave hungry.) -The kind of place you take your kid's little league baseball team for ice cream afterward. :) I like Munchies. :)

Great shakes, great fries, refreshingly friendly service. We're just passing through town but we'll be back for sure next time we're in the area. The parking lot was empty but the place was packed when we walked in, so obviously a favorite with locals, and for good reason.

Great burger joint! Staff was friendly and young, eager to help. Food was inexpensive and very good! Their sweet potato fries were great, and plentiful!! My burger was done well and the meat delicious. The decor is set up like an old school diner. Fun place!

They said their burgers were great and they did not lie. Fries were not hand cut but the way they cooked frozen ones made up for any doubts I had. Slightly off I70 butr worth the few extra minutes for great road food.

Ate here last summer during our travels. My wife and I had pizza, and a couple of milkshakes. It was delicious! Not a fancy place, by any means, but nice staff and good grub!
