Nice decor. Friendly staff. This place works more as a bar than a high end street taco joint. The menu is a bit like ordering sushi. You write down on paper what you want. I would rather just order off a menu. We had the ceviche. The fish was nice but the blended flavors didn't really work. The guacamole was a little nondescript. The chips were fresh. The tacos come 2 to an order. This means you have a little protein spread out on 2 little tortillas. The chicken mole was good, the best actually. The asada was a little bland. The pescado wasn't bad, but a little over fried. The chili and corn was recommended. It was ok but a little rich. I guess I expected more. A very limited non alcoholic drink option. A few sodas, bottled ice tea and water. The water needed to be refilled more regularly. Lots of tequila specialty drinks. A tequila chai latte? The seating is a mixed bag. Some booths, a sushi bar type area and some communal tables which really don't work since it is more of a sit down environment. The seats were hard and there was no place to put your coat. No alcohol, a mix of a few apps and some tacos should not have cost as much as it did. I probably won't be back. For a cheaper, tastier experience, though less ambiance, I would recommend the taco joint in Avon, No Se Hagen Bolas. Granted, this is about the food not the booze.

Opening night... great tacos! The space is nicely appointed and has a relaxed feel. Price is a bargain for food and beers. Can't wait to go back once open to the public.

We had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have hit it's stride yet. (In their defense it is newly opened) There is definitely potential and given the ownership and their other successful concepts I think they will be able to get it right. The food is good but I found the tacos uninspiring. They seem to be lacking something when compared to other street taco restaurants. Don't get me wrong they are good, just not amazing. The vegetarian is nice and spicing and was my favorite of the night but visually it was not as appealing. The shrimp taco's were ok. They were actually on the slightly cool side when we got them so that didn't help in my opinion. Again, they were lacking something, ---A little color and maybe a drizzle of a sour cream based sauce?---The other's ordered meat based tacos and the favorite of those was the carnitas. The land and sea was also good but came out two different ways so that was confusing and a bit weird. My daughter ordered the fish tacos and found it a bit odd that there was one fried piece of fish that you had to cut to get on to the second taco. The pickled onions are awesome on it and the fish taco overall was her favorite!!! We also ordered the guacamole and shrimp ceviche for appetizers both were good. We were still hungry after our tacos so we ordered the pacific cod ceviche and I would recommend the shrimp over it. It was good but not a favorite. We decided to order dessert and chose the chirros. They said 2-3 per order. We all laughed when the plates came out. There were 2 on each plate and they were at best 4" long and scrawny little things. They were also over fried. However, the chocolate dipping sauces is awesome! Looked more like a $3 dessert at the size not $5. The service was good and we got our items timely but they could use some more hands. The people next to us had waited quite sometime for their food and I over heard them comment that others who ordered after them were getting their food served when they were still waiting. Although not impressed with tonights visit it wasn't bad. We will give it some time and try it again. One other thing...It was packed when we arrived so we were seated at a community table. We love that concept and the idea of it so that was ok with us. However,we found while sitting there it was tight and uncomfortable. The height is awkward and also the double seat backless chairs do not lend to comfort. If you plan to be there for a while I would opt for a regular table or possibly the bar.

Very Yummy Tacos! A bit pricey if you're starving, but PERFECT for a meet up with friends. Each taco selection offers something great! Veggie & Rajas tacos are A++ and if they still have it, the mexican corn is so exciting and yummy! Great place in Edwards! and fun atmosphere!

Tacos were tasty, but when they say two tacos they really mean one small one with two tiny tortillas under it, a little deceiving in my opinion :/

I think this place needs new management. Walked in and didn't know what to do, no hostess. Since there was no one to even say hi I took the liberty of picking up a menu my self. Apparently there was only two servers and by the time the tall gentleman with a shaved head come over I knew what I wanted to eat. I asked if I could sit outside in patio and his response was "I don't know if we will be able to serve you outside because we are super busy" I looked around and the restaurant was half full or half empty and in my mind I thought You can serve me inside but not outside that's odd. I still took a seat in patio and waited, waited and waited finally just left to a near by place called Agave and had a great Mexican Dinner. Can't say anything about the food because apparently the staff there can only serve six to 8 tables at a time on a Tuesday night.

Delicious street tacos. Unique comfortable atmosphere. They just started a happy hour special, every night from 4-6, tacos are only $2 so that's $1 a taco. Check their Facebook page to make sure they still have that special. Been here a few times and they haven't let us down. Hard to find good food at a great price in this valley. Put this place on your approved restaurant list for sure.

As much as I hate to write a bad review this place deserves it - Strange drink selection as even in Mexico you can get wine ... food was not good and these folks know meat, server had a bad night spilled limited selection of drinks once they finally got to us .. and then the weak poorly made food - I lived in Texas for many years and this is not the place to eat borderlike food!

Really nice ambience with unique flavors an high quality ingredients. Prices are very reasonable maybe the best value in Edwards.

Such slow service we left, no hostest, went to the bar and no one talked to us. Bummer. street tacos should take 5 minutes. Smelled good though too bad.

  • Bo S.

I loved the tacos! Very reasonable price. You must have some churros for dessert! Be sure to try the Chupacabra cocktail, it's a spicy citrus tequila cocktail!

Wonderful addition to the valley! Great ambiance, great drinks, authentic tacos. Think elevated taco truck with killer service. The prices of the cocktails are shockingly low. We are huge fans of Eat Drink and Dish and Cut. This is owned and operated by the same team.

Say what you will, Tacorico just rocked my world. To be fair, the selection of salsas helped a great deal. I got the flank steak and pork belly tacos (again) and even though I liked them just fine the first time, this time the taco vatos, when I asked for a little salsa, gave me a wee taste of three. With them, the tacos were the bomb. Seriously. I lived in CA for 20 years, and have had a lot of good tacos. If you go, get the chips and salsa and also use the salsa on the tacos. The malbec I ordered was delish with the tacos, but, to be fair, it was the salsas that made dinner a serious home run. The server was good, the taco vatos were great and it's fun to watch them cook. Lovely atmosphere. I'll be back.

A full house on a Friday night with a good atmosphere and a hard working crew at Tacorico. Very reasonably priced with a wide variety to street tacos. The flan was excellent for dessert. We'll go back.

Have been here numerous times, and never had a bad experience. Food is great, must try the hatch chile tacos, and the guac is awesome.

Oh, I had such high hopes this place was going to be great! With ALL the Mexican restaurants in this town we were looking for something fabulous... Not so much! Don't go here if you are hungry b/c you will have to order 10 different things & they will all come with chips. The cheese dip is like oil in a bowl that chips don't even want to scoop up! The best thing on the menu was guacamole & I could have gotten that at Safeway without spending $75!

  • Saad M.

This place suffers from an identity problem. Designed to look like an uber hipster hangout, but with the vibe more set for a casual dining option or something social it left a bit to be desired. The service was prompt and friendly however the food is where the rubber hits the road. Each serving was two small tacos for a pretty high price. I ordered the chicken mole, the carne asada, and the pescado. I also tried the shrimp ceviche. The ceviche was the highlight of the meal, with enough for all of 4 of us to enjoy a bit or two. The chips and guac were pedestrian at best; minimal zest or spice in the guac with a small portion size to boot; disappointing. Out of all the tacos, the pescado was best and probably because the fish was fried. The one piece of fish was put in between both tacos...so you had to split the meat between two taco tortillas. Extremely weak. The chicken mole was terrible. Devoid of flavor and just burning hot...I spent the next 10 minutes guzzling water. I left the 2nd mole taco behind...something I have never done with food. Seriously brought the quality of the entire meal down. The carne asada was cold and poorly put together. The beef had minimal seasoning and it just was not good either. I would look elsewhere for your dining options when in town.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
