Ate there a few days ago with the family and the meal was fantastic!!! This is the third time we've eaten here in as many months and each and every time we have had a great experience and great food! Hard to believe the crab cakes were so good. We are from Louisiana and we know seafood; these cakes rival those from New Orleans. The roasted soup was fantastic - smooth and full of flavor. My daughter and I had the steak medallions and they were wonderful! My wife had the salmon and it tasted delicious - cooked just right where it was flaky but still moist. Visit the mountains around Edwards, breath the fresh air, and eat here!

I took a party of 7 for dinner at Mirador. The place looked fabulous and we had a room with a view. The place was fairly empty, which I never like, but the waiter seemed pleasant enough. We arrived at 6:45, ordered drinks and appetizers and then sat and sat and sat and sat. Dinner wasn't served until close to 8:30. The food was adequate but because we all waited way too long, nothing tasted good. Some of the guests ordered dessert and coffee and someone asked, "Did you have to order dessert? We'll be here all night." The dessert came but for some reason, the coffee and expresso never showed up and no one mentioned it. I never checked if we were charged for it. At that point, I just wanted to leave. We all agreed it was a pretty place but would not return. Waiting an hour and a half for the dinner to arrive killed the pleasure of going out to dinner.

Dinner last night was awful. It took 2 1/5 hours, because service was terrible. It took 45 mins to get the appetizer during which we were left with no wine refills and no water. Once the appetizer arrived, we were left for 10 mins with no forks. The rest of the evening was a constant comedy of more errors, bad service and then to add insult to injury, the bill was wrong and we were overcharged. When we mentioned the disaster to the front desk, all we got was a "thanks for the feedback". We are guests in the hotel and will not be eating in the restaurant again during our stay.

This restaurant is at the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, so it's a little off the beaten path to get to..food was good-not spectacular and service was fine, but this far out of the way I expected a little more-views were amazing and it was very romantic though

Had a Christmas Eve dinner at the Mirador. We were a little disappointed that when making the reservations there was no mention of a "special" Christmas Eve menu that gave us exactly 2 options per for a few of the servings (others had only 1 option) and most all centered around very unique items such as oysters and lobster salad that I can't believe would appeal to a many people, it certainly did not to us. Due to it being Xmas Eve we decided to go ahead and order even though the menu had NO pricing on it whatsoever. Between 3 of us we were billed nearly $300 (included 2 glasses of $10 wine). I was floored, especially considering the complete lack of choices on their menu. Also, we were the only diners in the restaurant from 5:30pm until around 7pm when 2 additional tables showed up. Our waiter completely ignored or forgot about us after the main course (fish, big surprise) was served and we sat for literally 30 minutes while he attended to the other 2 tables and then disappeared not to be found or seen. I had to stand up and more or less corner him when he finally re-appeared to ask him to box up our desserts and to have someone come over to clear off our table of the half-eaten food that had sat for 30 minutes. He apologized and claimed to be "busy" even though there were no other diners in the entire restaurant other than the last 15 minutes for us. I understand it was Xmas Eve and they could have been short staff; however, for that kind of money there really is no excuse. We were by no means in a hurry, but 30 minutes with dirty plates on a table wouldn't be acceptable at fast food joint, much less at a fine dining restaurant like this. Upon leaving, the valet had actually fidgeted with several of the settings inside of my Yukon - radio stations were changed, heating was different, even the mileage meter had been re-set. Odd. I haven't been to Mirador on a "regular" service; however, I can only attest to our experience last night, which was ridiculously expensive, especially considering the poor service by our waiter and weird valet driver who must have enjoyed my vehicle. I think the space itself is beautiful and the scenery is great, but we will not be returning.

The Mirador is located in the Lodge at Cordillera. The restaurant provides, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and they have sandwiches and also dishes. I think my favorites were the Lamb and the Mediterranian Pasta. Yum... Dinner is served from 6 - 11 p.m. and they have tapas style dishes, so you can get a variety of dishes. Their dishes range from approximately 10-17 dollars. The service is friendly and prompt. Don't forget that the restaurant also does room service, for those who want to stay in their beautiful rooms!

Loved this restaurant! Best steak we have ever had. My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and it was a real treat after traveling through the mountains. We started with the shrimp appetizer which was incredible, and bother ordered the tenderloin filet. Filets were great, cooked perfect, and had an interesting twist of a side sauce. I got a side dish of the lobster Mac n cheese which was to die for! If we are ever traveling through this way again we will be sure to stop!

Mirador goes above and beyond most 'hotel restaurants'. Their food is consistently excellent, but the key is that their staff is genuinely hospitable -- a pleasant welcome, just enough friendly conversation, gladly accommodating special requests, and little extras like generous portions of fresh fruits. Of course the views are stunning and romantic, too. In addition, they've attended to the small details -- beautiful porcelain, quality silverware, etc. It all adds up to an elegant but comfortable dining experience. We will be back!

Very disappointing dinner. We decided to have dinner here for the ease factor since we were staying at the lodge. I ordered the Caesar salad - which I had to send back. It was a semi limp, barely dressed (with rancid tasting Caesar dressing) 2/3s of a head of Romaine lettuce - something the waiter referred to as a "knife and fork salad." I am admitedly picky about dinners out but especially when they cost what this one did. We shared mussels (with fennel and tomatoes), which weren't bad, but also weren't spectacular. The salmon I had was good - properly cooked and nicely flavored. My husband ordered the filet duo - these were the two smallest "steaks" we had ever seen, over cooked (ordered medium rare and came out well done), and definitely not a quality cut of beef - all for $35. (We agreed we'd had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse.) My husband also had a glass of house wine and the whole meal came to $93 before tip. If you're going to spend $100 on dinner, I strongly recommend making the trek to Vail for a quality meal.

DO NOT EAT HERE. On Valentine's Day or a Tuesday for that matter. By far the worst dining experience I have ever had in Colorado. Upon arrival, the host expressed distress as he realized he would have to clean one of the endless dirty tables left towards the end of the night. Our waiter, Shawn, filled three of the four glasses on the table with water and then place the remaining few drops in the fourth. When asked if he could bring more water, he suggested that he thought the wine was more important. One of the wine glasses was clearly dirty and smelled as such. After ordering oysters, he informed us none were left, "but... we have everything else." The beef barley soup was served cold and when asked to return it, and not bring it back, it was re-served after a quick detour through a microwave. Nothing was ever deducted from the bill. After complaining about the cold soup, the waiter sarcastically asked if the burrata salad was cold too. The calamari was never served, but after an inquiry, it too was served cold just before the entrees arrived. When asked if he could remove a plastic cup that had been served in the lounge area, the waiter replied "no" (he claimed there was no room). After witnessing our shock to his response, he quickly grabbed the cup and walked away. My girlfriend refused to eat anything served after that interaction. The steak was edible, but soft and chewy. The Brussels sprouts were the only enjoyable food of the evening. The food was below par for any restaurant at this price point and it was the worst wait service I have ever experienced. The Mirador needs a top-to-bottom remodel, retooling of its menu, and a fresh start with the lackluster members of the kitchen and service staff.

I had some of the best scallops ever! What a surprise, how impressive, just because this place is definitely not near an ocean! One of the best dinners I've ever had and the staff was friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the chicken Caesar salad was made with iceberg lettuce and if we had started with that, I don't think we would have ordered anything else. I hope they fix that!

An absolute disaster. I have dined in the Vail Valley for almost 30 years and part of which living up here, to have such a horrible experience added to the disappointment. Service was unprofessional and honestly made no effort to make the meal enjoyable. The food, when it finally came was either under or over cooked. If it wasn't for the assistant manager we would have walked out. Very bad experience....

Hands down the worst dinning experience in the Vail Valley in 15 years. From the obnoxious wait staff, too the horrible food to the restrooms overflowing with trash. Absolutely awful!
