A great little coffee shop in a delightful little town along the banks of the Dolores River. Fabulous breakfast burrito and a Colorado Fog (green tea, mint and steamed milk ). The owners are coffee conasieurs with Mark training in Europe to perfect the perfect cup. Forget Starbucks and make your way to a fabulous locally owned cafe, complete with locally made delicious ice cream. And don't forget my husband's favorite the Colorado Ranger!

We originally stopped at Pony Espresso because they advertised free wifi. And we were glad we did! The pastries, the ice cream and the coffee drinks were excellent! Mark encouraged us to stay and use the wifi as long as we needed. Then he gave us some excellent advice on hiking in the area. Even though we camped an hour north of Dolores, we came back to Pony Espresso several times during our stay in the area. And we will return!

Simply amazing. The owners are very personable and will do almost anything to tend to your dietary needs! I go here every day for lunch and I'm never disappointed. The sage breakfast burritos are to die for! Especially with a Carmel macchiato to wash it down!

When you're driving through Dolores you've just GOT TO stop here for a bite to eat. Trust me. STOP! Two of us were on our way from Telluride to Durango and wanted a quick breakfast.... and this cute-as-a-button place just kind of called out to us. They serve breakfast items and sandwiches and ice cream and house-made baked goods all day. And, the coffee menu rivals that in any fancy-schmancy city coffee shop anywhere. Who would have known? My friend thoroughly enjoyed her sausage, egg, and cheese burrito.... and we both loved our "Clydesdale" sized lattes. But.... The star of the show was my "Carmelita" (caramel, chocolate, oats, brown sugar, and butter) all baked up into an ooey-gooey fantastically amazing breakfast (or lunch or dessert or snack) bar. It was a delicious and and satisfying breakfast served with love and soul..... and we even got hugs and wishes for safe travels from the owners on our way out the door.

We stopped in Delores to sleep on a 3 day road trip and came here for breakfast. They had the best ice blended coffee & breakfast burrito. I enjoyed this place more than any other in the town. The owners were the sweetest couple that were helpful with information. If ever passing through Colorado avian, I'll be back!

Small place with a great breakfast burrito and coffee options! Outside seating and indoor if you want to stay and easy, but there's also a drive thru to get coffee or some food on the way to your hike. Great place, and service

BLT as a wrap- best I've had. Tried their ice cream - different flavors daily- a wicked combo of chocolate & peanut butter was today's treat & it was great too. A double espresso was the only less than fantastic item. Great little place.

They say they have the best red velvet cupcakes and it's true! My husband and I both had a coffee, which was good, but the red velvet was worth writing home about!

This is a gem of a cafe. Lattes are tasty. Their breakfast burritos are delicious, even the gluten-free ones. Friendly people too.

Staff is very friendly, as are the locals. My husband and I split a breakfast burrito and it was a bit greasy but delicious. The coffee (two americanos, please) was great! I enjoyed the fun drink names; very creative.

They served one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. And I am a hyper critical coffee drinker. The owner learned "barrister-ing" in Europe and knows how to get a strong drink without it begin bitter. if you are headed from Durango to Telluride, don't miss a good expresso.

Yo!~ I traveled with Mark into Budapest and remember when we first tasted the real thing. Mark was hooked on the coffee juice for real! Seriously I love you guys! I am so proud of what you've done. What talent! What perseverance! As I travel the world I always ask people if they stopped into the Pony Expresso while in southwest Colorado, am never surprised at how many people have visited you and how great your place is. Hope to see you in 2015!!!!

This is the perfect little coffee shop located in the middle of Dolores, Colorado. We stopped on our way through town... They had a HUGE array of drinks from Coffee and Espresso Drinks to Italian Flavored Sodas to Herbal Teas... They also had ice cream and a nice array of homemade pastries (yum). My whole family ended up getting drinks and "build your own" sandwiches. It was reasonably priced and very good! I think my coffee drink was called "Lipizzaner Stallion" (all the drinks are named after horses), but I'm not completely sure that was the name... It was a really tasty Caramel Mocha Frappe. MMMMmmmmm....!
