Okay place, decent lunches. Have been there many times for both lunch and dinner. I usually order the "Mama moose" steak but may not next time as I cannot get them to make mine medium-RARE. I instead get a steak that is nearly raw. I prefer rare and usually deal with overcooked rather than undercooked steak, but there is such a thing as too rare (aka raw). They also have a "full bar", but the staff do not know how to mix drinks. Members of my party ordered a gin and tonic. Apparently someone from the restaurant had to go across the street to the liquor store to buy the gin, and then we had to ask for limes to go with the gin and tonic. That is a pretty standard cocktail, so this was surprising. I have has many good lunches there, and some pretty so-so dinners.

I actually came to Dolores to try the brewery but found that it's closed in Mondays. But that turned out to just fine because I found The Naked Moose instead. Everything I tried was just great. What a great discovery.

Good food quality, very clean. Highly recommended over the other options in town with similar fare. Of the three meals we had all were great.

We had a great time, the food was good and plentiful. The beer was cold. But you will never know. Server informed me that they were closing forever next Saturday, and that Saturday has long since passed. It seems a lot of small places in these out-of-the-way places are having a tough time, so it is important that we get out there and spend! And leave a good tip while you are at it.

We were the only ones in the Naked Moose for lunch and still service was slow! The buffalo wings were ordinary. The Swiss mushroom burger was overcooked. The french fries were very good. We would not go back nor would we recommend.

The fried chicken was a fried Cornish game hen with the tiniest little legs you have ever seen! Good salad bar.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at the Naked Moose and we really appreciated how friendly the waitress was, the cozy and quaint ambience and the food was absolutely satisfying. Warm bread with garlic butter, simple yet tasty salad bar, delicious wine, he had the top sirloin and was fully satisfied and I had the apple pork chops. We left stuffed and happy. :) Will definitely come back since a friend highly recommended their burgers!

Just traveling through while visiting Mesa Verde. Cute little restaurant. Stopped in for lunch and had great service, a really good burger and BLT sandwich.

Nice little surprise on our way back home from Telluride. The service was personable and efficient. We were sitting in the dining room when the server came up and said, "The game's on", we're moving you to the bar. I had the fried cod and onion rings... Really good. My fiancé had the patty melt and salad bar. Just good comfort food. We'll be back when passing through again.

Had breakfast. Very clean, cute decorations. Looks to be family owned. Breakfast menu had a variety. Like hot cocoa? Get one! Made to order omelette had a generous portion of ham. Country ham and eggs - perfect. Not too salty, great flavor. A real country ham steak. Perfect meal size for breakfast.

We choose the Naked Moose on the recommendation of the owner of the Pony Espresso. The service (by the owner) was great. The Fettucine Alfredo, Country Fried Steak and Hunter's Chicken were excellent. The Citrus Chicken was just bit salty, judged by a salt sensitive person. There was too much food for dessert.

Had a very satisfying but not exceptional meal. Steak and ribs were both very good, as were the fries. Friendly waitress who worked hard. Outstanding desserts. Salad bar was small but fresh and well-kept. Very good experience overall.

I've eaten at the Naked Moose for lunch and breakfast. They only serve breakfast on the weekends. I am a vegetarian who is lactose intolerant and my husband is a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs. Breakfast was amazing! I had eggs and they were cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were flavorful and crispy. Coffee was good. Lunch was terrible. Their vegetarian options are limited to a black bean burger and a veggie sandwich. We both ordered the veggie sandwich and shared an order of chile fries. This sandwich was sparse raw veg on very dry sourdough. I liken it to the generic "steamed vegetable plate" many restaurants serve thinking they've provided an option for which all vegetarians should jump for joy. Maybe worse. No flavor. No seasoning. No spread. Not toasted or grilled. The worst part was that I'm fairly certain the cost was in the $8.99 range. I paid $8.99 for raw veg between two pieces of conventional sourdough bread from the grocery store and a side salad. The side salad I built from the salad bar, which was good. I was surprised when I told the waitress how bad the sandwich (from which I had taken two bites) was and she didn't seem phased by it. She politely apologized and asked us if we wanted our check. I was sorely disappointed considering what a great breakfast experience we had.

Relaxing, kid friendly restaurant that glows with down home charm. The service is really efficient and kind. Super kid friendly with butcher paper and crayons on all the tables for drawing, and even a wall with the best pictures displayed. Comfort food, homemade soups and an extensive kids menu. We'll be back for sure
