Wow! I haven't been to an Egg&I in a really long time. I didn't remember what it was like. I came in just me and my 4 kids ages 10 and under. They offered us the big booth and we were seated immediately. (Breakfast hour on a Friday.) When I saw the menu I was worried... 1 wheat pancake?? But the portions were awesome and every kid finished their food and felt satisfied. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service was OUTSTANDING!! Our server, Gema, treated us SO kindly... She was very professional and patient... It felt like an upscale restaurant! We were welcomed and comfortable and I can't say enough about our positive experience here!!!

I got the basic breakfast which included a muffin; thought I'd keep it simple. Waitress forgot part of order and just kinda gave me a look when i mentioned it. The bacon had to have been cooked last week, cold, hard and shouldn't have even been put on the plate.

I can't get enough of this place. I have been coming to the Egg and I ever since they opened many years ago. They have great consistency between each location. I always look forward to getting the chance to eat here. This time around I had the Green Chili Chicken Hash! Super good!

Brunch is one of my favorite meals to eat out mostly because I am too lazy to make anything more complicated than an omelette for breakfast. Since moving to Colorado in 2013, we have been on the hunt to try every conceivable breakfast option, from IHOP to Snooze. Surprisingly, I've only recently gotten around to the Egg n I and I wish I had tried this place sooner. Much better than Benedict's just down the street (I don't understand why anyone eats there except for convenience), and definitely a warmer ambiance than Le Peep. I had the Parisian Benedict and thought it had good flavors. My son had the kids chocolate chip pancake and loved it. Four stars for what it is: nicer than IHOP but not super fancy.

Had Egg & I in Las Vegas, and we were happy. Same with Denver's. Very kid friendly with lots of high chairs available, coloring, and kids menu. Service and food were great, and we will return again.

Lets see if Yelp doesnt hide this review. After going to so many other Egg and I locations, this one yet again oroves why they are the best breakfast place ever! REAL cinnamon roll french toast, not cinnamon sprinkled eegular bread luke other places. I had the Parisian Bennedict and was licking the hollandaise of the plate! Yes its that good!!

Great waitress. Really fast service. Corned beef hash wasn't great. Will go back to try the omelettes or a skillet, but so far am not really impressed.

Stopped by here since Delectable Egg had too long of a wait. Food was good but they didn't have any gluten free bread options :(.. Just had the two egg breakfast with bacon, potatoes, and English muffin. Others had an egg white veggie omelet and the cheese burger. The service was very good but we missed our regular spot at Delectable Egg. It just didn't have the same ambiance and feeling like you were dining with family and friends.

The service was nice, the food seems healthy, and the Colorado Jack Scramble was delicious, but my favorite part was the pork green chili. I would trade it over traditional gravy any day. Yum.

When dealing with a breakfast restaurant that makes the same breakfast stuff as a bunch of others, the service and coffee set it apart. My service was awesome! My coffee good, but not amazing. Thus, 4 stars.

Went here a week or so ago for my first breakfast at this restaurant. I always heard good things about it so I thought we better try it out! I love breakfast foods and could eat it for any meal! Our breakfast was very good and tasty! My hubby got this crabcake eggs benedict type dish and it was so very good!! I could have eaten that myself! I just got french toast and bacon, nothing too out of the ordinary there! I definitely recommend that eggs benedict dish, I know thats what I'll be ordering next time!!

If you're looking for a delicious, well prepared, stick-to-your-ribs, country-style breakfast then this is the place! You won't find anything too unique on the menu, but occasionally they create some interesting/elevated food combos like pineapple coconut pancakes. This breakfast is so much better than IHOP, Village Inn and the like. This place is run by people who care, the food is prepared with attention to detail and pride, and the service is always top notch. The interior is also very cute and homey, and always clean. I am a huge fan of their heuvos rancheros. They're not "traditional" as it uses a flour tortilla and refried beans, but it's delicious to me! I've also enjoyed their biscuits and gravy, and family has enjoyed many of the other standard breakfast offerings like pancakes and omelettes. Most items are served with a side of ranch potatoes or grits. I do not like their ranch potatoes, I find them dry and flavorless, but the grits are yummy! They also have very good coffee. There can be a wait certain times of the day, especially on weekends, but it's usually not as bad as some of the more trendy competition. All in all a great option for breakfast when you're looking for something comforting and well prepared.

Fast, friendly service. Food is good, not great. Affordable pricing One thing that I love is when you order a drink they bring you a little pitcher of the same drink. So you give yourself refills without waiting.

This is a solid breakfast place if you're looking for a regular breakfast, nothing fancy. I came here on Sunday after leaving another restaurant because we didn't feel like waiting an hour for a table. When we walked in we were greeted at the door and told it was going to be about a 15 minute wait, we didn't wait long and were seated. The service was great, Melody made sure that we didn't have to wait for anything, asked us for our order right away and stayed on top of things during our meal. I ordered the "Athena Scramble" which was scrambled eggs with asparagus, a side of cottage cheese and fruit. The portions were good for the price. I will be back for sure!

Phenomenal coffee and breakfast to boot. Party of five seated in under five minutes and the service couldn't have been better. Great variety of coffee from bold to flavoured and the food options ranged from burgers to veggie Benedict. Will be coming back next time I'm in Denver.

The service is friendly and nice, but the food is just alright. Good variety and prices are fairly reasonable, but nothing special is going on here. There are a few nearby options that are much better.

I come here before I go to work. Always good service and good food. I don't eat much so I have leftovers for lunch while I'm at work. Two meals for a great price and the leftovers don't taste like leftovers :-)

I've been here a few times for team breakfasts for work. I usually get the Breakfast Croissant which has eggs, diced ham and cheese on a buttery delicious croissant. It comes with spiced & diced fried potatoes which are tasty too. Service has always been quick, efficient and friendly. I guess my biggest complaint is price but since my job is nice enough to pick up the tab, I shouldn't worry. I just wouldn't choose this as a breakfast destination when I have to come out of pocket for it since I can go to the grocery store and get all the ingredients to make multiples of the same breakfast for the price of one.

I pass by this place all the time, but never tried it until today. It was busy enough, but had seating available. I was sat with no wait. I ordered a waffle with scrambled eggs. The waitress asked if I wanted bacon or sausage. I asked if it was pretty good bacon, and her eyes lit up saying it was very good. So I opted for bacon. Maybe its weird to ask if the bacon is good, but I did. I can be a bit of a bacon snob. The waitress was very nice. She had a friendly way about her and it seeemed like she actually liked her job. If she doesn't, maybe she was just having a good morning. I dont know, but I appreciated it, either way. Anyway, the food came really fast and the waffle & eggs were hot. The bacon, well it was warm at least. So that kinda told me that it was pre-made. That wasnt an issue though because when it comes to bacon, it doesnt need to be straight from the pan to be good. The waffle was really good. Nice sized.. crunchy on the outside and light on the inside. It came with a good bit of butter too (how i like it). They give you warm syrup too, which is good. Some places dont, and I think it makes a difference. The eggs were done right too. I asked for scrambled with cheese and thats what they did. I hat when a place scrambles the eggs, and THEN simply lays a slice of cheese on top, or drops some shredded cheese on top. Thats weak!! The bacon........ well, I thinkit was sub par. It was very crunchy and I do not really like my bacon to crumble when I bite it. It also wasnt very flavorful, so I was disappointed in that. I mean, isnt bacon the best part of a breakfast anyway?? Ok, so with that in mind, there were a couple good things about this spot, so I will give it a 3. A 4 means I am a fan, and I dont want to go that far since I dont often do breakfast spots and I dont know if I will ever be back. I wont give it a 2 because even though that's not horrible, I feel it should get better than that.

I will say the food here is always predictable and good. I am fan and my kids love the pancakes and the waffles. Our service was attentive and thorough despite being slammed. This has really become a great default breakfast place in the area. Here is the major rub though: THE COFFEE IS TERRIBLE. No taste, bland. Despite my ordering the coffee over and over, it always disappointments me. Here's my suggestion. 1) They should start serving French Press - now that is coffee 2) They should make a better investment in coffee products - Illy is a really good company when it comes to restaurant coffee service improvements 3) The customer should just bring in their own coffee.

  • Leora W.

I love this place! The prices are decent, the food is good and the servers are always efficient and polite. They're also open early and even when they're busy the wait is never that bad. The main parking lot is always full, but there's a bigger one you can use at the other end of the building and then you just walk; it's not far. And worth it. :) Also the hazelnut coffee is delicious.

I met a couple friends here this morning. It's my first visit, and probably my last. Let's break it down: It's Saturday morning, and there is a wait for tables. Not unexpected, because a lot of folks enjoy going out for a late breakfast on weekends. Parking is a problem here though. The parking lot has about 10-12 spaces. I parked on the street. I was late arriving, and my friends had already been seated. Our server was very cordial, and and she was prompt with drinks and checking in on us after our food was delivered. So, service would be 4 stars. Food and drink: I had coffee....luke warm coffee served in a "thermos". It didn't taste very good either. I ordered an Athena Scramble, which has feta, diced tomatoes, asparagus and portabello mushrooms. It was ok, but not delicious. I exchanged the potatoes for fresh fruit....which was anything but. The apples were soft, and the canteloupe and strawberries were on the verge of being bad. Sure am glad I didn't get the fruit and yogurt with granola, because it would not have been edible! They get 1 star for food. I usually don't frequent chain restaurants, and this is why. Low quality food!

Standard good breakfast place. The service is always quick and friendly. The menu has tons of options. The breakfast Sunday and the althena omelet are my healthy favs.

2 of us were sat quickly for brunch on a Sunday morning around 11:00am. Waitress was friendly and chatted us up for a few about what we were conversing about as we sat down. Delicious hazelnut coffee was flowing and the food was out pretty quickly. Just the way brunch should be. The only improvement would be the location is a bit hard to find if you're not consciously looking for it. Other than that, perfect place for brunch, and The Flapper pancake is huge and delectable. Only wish they'd pile up a few of them on each plate to feed the hungry beast.

My family of seven and I had breakfast here this morning and we all had compliments for the food and the service. We don't eat pork and usually have to settle for something we don't want because pork is in a mixture that they add to eggs. Fortunately for us we were able to have them "hold the pork." Our server was excellent. I got a Greek inspired dish that had fresh pesto. Yum. My only complaint was that the coffee was nothing great.

  • Jen W.

With all of the breakfast joints around I have just had better. I had an egg white omelette with avocado which was completely unripe and overall rubbery. I know, I know egg whites can be but I have had many delish ones elsewhere. My friend had a skillet and finished half. With a coke and a sprite our bill was over $25 so definitely overpriced. Another weird thing was our waiter did not make any eye contact with the whole time - it was a bit unsettling.

It's interesting to read the reviews of the dissatisfied as it can give a very telling view of a restaurant's shortcomings. One or two person's bad experiences may not raise alarms, however, when there are numerous ones and all are related to food quality, you have to wonder. I've come here consistently over the past few years for breakfast and haven't had a bad experience yet. The food is consistent and service is pretty decent. Have I just been lucky? Then again, I can be a pretty demanding guest. If I don't get what I ordered or the quality doesn't meet my expectations, they are going to hear about it. I'm paying for this so I want my money's worth! My favorite dishes are The Colorado Jack Scramble with Green Chile + an extra side of the Green Chile. Like most of the dishes, they are served in "skillet" style with potatoes and toast or english muffins on the side. The Biscuits & Gravy is a must if you are starving for good high-calerie comfort food. I love how they have a selection of coffees and they seem pretty decent. One thing I do observe is the conversations between wait staff and regulars. There seem to be quite a few repeat customers here. Overall, I rate them above the Denny's and Pancake House slop because it's more of a "Mom & Pop" kind of charm. The restaurant over in the Highland's Ranch Town Center is just as good if not better. Very nice owner who comes around to check on the tables and chat. Maybe he should come over to this location more often.

Had a meeting here and the room was very crowded. I ordered the yogurt with berries, banana and granola. It also came with an English muffin. I was happy with my choice. Everyone else had egg dishes. Most didn't finish. Don't know if it was because they were full or their dishes were not great. Funny thing was I was the very last to get served. I actually thought they forgot me. Maybe mine was harder to make? Oh well I learned a lot about cruises and that's really why I was there. The food was to satisfy us.

I'm so surprised by all the negative reviews! I have loved this place for years -- inexpensive, lots of choices, and my food and service has always been consistently good! I'm a bit seasonal about this place. This location inside feels a bit homier to me but if you are wanting to go in the summer, the patio at University and Arapahoe location is great.

Never have I seen such a unique option - Chicken Cordon Blue skillet with swiss cheese, chicken, ham (not that thin deli crap), eggs over medium and Hollandaise sauce. I could swim in the stuff! The staff offered coffee to go cups without me having to ask. Top Notch at this location fasho!

We were seated immediately after arrival. Usually when we go out to eat I only have one or two healthy choices. Here I had over twenty! My omelette was excellent the service was awesome and my husband had a lot of choices from chicken fried steak to chicken hash. The kids choices were great and they allowed us to do a substation.

Fabulous Sunday breakfast. Florentine eggs Benedict (artichokes and spinach) was perfect. Was very busy but service was still excellent. Popular place. By about 930 am there looked to be a bit of a wait starting.

Brunch is without a doubt my favorite meal to go out for. The Egg & I is conveniently located next to my house and always an easy, quick, and delectable option to satisfy my grumbling belly in the morning time. My favorites include the Raspberry Granola Pancake and Cambridge Skillet. Everything I have ever had here is always great and takes no time to get on your table! Whether you are in the mood for eggs, yogurt, waffles, pancakes, and even crepes, you can definitely find something you want here! They also have a wide array of spicier Mexican options if that strikes your fancy! This will continue to be one of my favorite breakfast spots and I definitely choose this over the Original House of Pancakes (where you wait hours sometimes to get a table...) for years to come!

I might have liked this better if I hadn't eaten at Benedict's the day before. First, the service: At 9:00am, the hostess took us on a tour of the place trying to find us a table. quite a few of the tables and booths empty but not bussed. The high school aged waitress kept forgetting the things we asked for like water and coffee and juice (Multiple unserved requests). We both ordered the sausage gravy over biscuit platter. My wife's was over-peppered and mine had even more! (And I like pepper! But too much is too much. Did the top come off in the kitchen?) The eggs were perfect. The side sausage was commercial preprepared patties. And the potatoes were factory made also. All in all unspectacular ... especially after Benedict's. (about a block away)

Great place for a fast good breakfast at a reasonable price. This is not Denny's people. The dishes are a little more sophisticated than theirs. I had the Hikers Benedict and it good home cooking. Diced ham, asparagus, tomatoes, portabella mushrooms and two poached eggs stacked on two English muffin halves. Topped with dill hollandaise sauce and two strips of crispy bacon. It all worked well together and my egg white was cooked through.

  • Christina E.

Show up early to The Egg & I on the weekends, or expect a wait, although not nearly as bad as some other area breakfast joints. Fortunately, once you decide on your order the food comes fast! Breakfast here is always consistenly good... I especially love the Hiker's Benedict and my husband loves their Southwestern & Mexican breakfast dishes. The menu is diverse, with plenty of choices for picky or healthy eaters. The hardest part about ordering is not finding something you want, but deciding between it all!

This is our local brunch spot. We try to go here quite often and even recommend it to others. We have been to other Egg and I locations and have been disappointed but this one is yet to let us down! It's close to home. Has fresh and tasty food - I love the Greek frittata or the breakfast croissant, the bf and my sis always get the parisian benedict w/ bacon instead of ham and we all split a belgian waffle. We used to frequent Snooze, which the food there is great as well but totally different and higher priced. Plus, let's be honest who wants to wait "45 mins" that always turns into 1hr-1.5hrs. The staff here is friendly as well and you never really have to wait longer than 5mins, even on a busy day.

On a soft food diet I'm limited on what I can eat. We popped in here yesterday after a meeting down South and enjoyed a yummy HUGE blueberry pancake that must've been 10" round. No, I didn't eat all of it. Just about 80%. Nice service staff and food was fast.

  • Charles K.

Decent place for breakfast/brunch. Definitely a step above Denny's. Even on Mother's day, both back and front of house managed to keep service at a high level and the customers happy. My corned beef hash and eggs were very good and my companions had no complains.

We go here every time we take our cute baby to the pediatrician. so we have been here 4 or 5 times. He is a healthy baby. I have always been pleased with the wait staff, the food, and how quickly we get our food. I like to try different things when i go, but i particularly like their Mexican food inspired breakfasts. I just had stuffed french toast which was quite delightful. but regarding Kristen T. if you do not like eggs or any animal things you shouldn't order Eggs at the egg and I. That is all

Four stars? Really, guys? Reeaally? For the most greasy, insipid sausage I've eaten in literally years (and I am VERY forgiving about sausage), for the scrambled eggs that obviously either came from a carton or sure tasted like it, for the waffle that was most certainly a powdered mix sometime in the not too distant past, and for the back of the menu that actually *admits* they "proudly serve" Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and Hormel meat products... four stars? I'm granting two out of consideration for where this is located and that it very well may be the best of what's around, but... dang. That was a sad, sad fail-breakfast. :(

Fun menu, great customer service, they leave the craft of coffee on the table, good food but nothing too spectacular. I recommend the chicken tortilla soup. Offers military discounts.

Delicious. Fast. Always. Lots of menu options -- many of them very unique, and quite a few vegetarian options, which is hard to find. Amazing frittatas, huge pancakes, and the coffee is consistently good, rich and flavorful. In fact, the coffee is so good, I don't even mess with it by adding my usual cream and sugar. Great service. Efficient. Outdoor seating.

mmm breakfast joints! we went at 10am on a monday and the place was pretty well empty. i think there was one other table, hidden behind where we were seated. i understand that there's a line-up out the door most weekends and so hurray for mondays! the menu was quite extensive with tons of options. i got stuck between greek and mexican choices and chose a 'skillet' with vegetables galore and feta cheese. i saw they have turkey sausage on their menu and my heart beat a little faster. i added a size of sausage and definitely ended up with enough food for 2 1/2 ppl. the skillet was done perfectly. it has asparagus in it and thankfully it was cooked properly as mushy asparagas in eggs = no thanks. the turkey sausage tasted like average sausage but it's so rare to find in a breakfast restaurant, that i can't complain at all. there was definitely too much food, which made me feel not so horrible about leaving my less than delicious english muffin and mediocre 'ranch' potatoes. it was a delicious meal though and definitely kept me full until dinner. i would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and plan on trying the crab cake benedict next time i'm in town. mmmm.

I don't get it....why is it so expensive for eggs that come from chickens that are treated like prisoners on death row? If you like food that is low quality and cooked in fake butter(you know, that yellow stuff that pours out of a jug?), then you will really love this place! What a rip off!

  • Jay E.

Inexpensive breakfast food in a clean, plain atmosphere. Served hot and cooked perfectly to order. I like the healthy options omelette, chicken and avocado. No lattes, just coffee. This is not farm to table, but if you expect that at this price point you are going to have a bad time anywhere. Happened to be nearby one time, felt like breakfast for lunch, left satisfied. I like to keep it simple for lunch, and this place fits the bill. Good service.

saw this place while driving and pulled in. was promptly seated and upon deciding what to order received my meal within 10 minutes delivered from my surprisingly help full server (who's name i cant recall). food was very good and cheap to boot, great place for those who want good home style breakfast

i have yet to have a bad breakfast here. the service is down right speedy, the food is tasty, the prices are very reasonable, the coffee's pretty decent. the only downside is i seem to consistently get seated next to a group of pontificating bible thumpers. but at least they have great taste in breakfast joints.

The Egg & I is a fantastic spot for the lazy late Saturday morning breakfast and unlike Le Peep....it's not crowded. Every meal is a mouthful with eggcelent (I had to) portions at bargain prices. Breakfast is served all day and with generous lunch portions brunch is always an option. The decor is bright and inviting, the staff is always warm and friendly and they can accommodate large groups if needed. The Egg and I really reminds me of a home cooked breakfast meal with the family where you can read the paper, sit and visit with your neighbors or recover from a late night out. My favorite is the Mexican skillet loaded with black beans, green chilies, diced Roma tomatoes, and union with a ton of pork green chili. The melted pepperjack cheese on top with fresh tortillas to soak it all up is the only way to have breakfast. Stop by....your stomach will thank you.

I used to think that LePeep was my favorite breakfast spot but now I've decided that "The Egg & I" ... The service is usually good and the "Hiker's Benedict" is absolutely awesome.

Great coffee and food. We took our 2 year old out for breakfast here. The kids wheat pancake was served to look like Mickey mouse with grapes for the eyes and he loved it! Grown up food was great too. The huevos rancheros was solid. Would definitely eat here again!
