This freakin'place is amazing! These salads are freshly prepared, delicious & worth every penny paid. The hummus & warm pita bread is definitely worth try. Best hummus I've had. I like that their sodas are made with real sugar. I've never been disappointed at any location. This place was no exception.

They have awesome salads! I had the Ivan premium salad with portobello mushrooms in sherry molasses vinaigrette. It was one of the yummiest salads i've ever had! the ingredients are very fresh. i also had the hummus and pita bread, which was also good. They have very interesting drinks. I had the Dry Soda in cucumber flavor. It sounds awful, but it was surprisingly refreshing and only 45 calories! I can't comment on the decor or ambiance since someone brought me take-out, but my review based on the taste/quality of my salad is 5 stars!

MAD greens is your typical, yet good run of the mill salad chain. What gives it a leg up on the competition is the great selection of dressings. I did notice some sub-par produce (brown and looking a bit mushy) or I would have given 4 stars. Great people working there - very helpful. Don't think I'll go back on this trip but good to know about.

Great organic option for a meal. Salads and sandwiches with locally grown ingredients. I especially like the Ty Cobb Salad and the Annie Oakley Panini.

I came here for a quick lunch a few weeks ago. Although the line was out the door, it moved pretty quickly especially considering they toss each salad in front of you. I believe we arrived there around noon, so prime lunch time. I had the caeser salad with a half cuban panini. The greens were crisp, the tomatoes were sweet and I had them go light on the dressing, which they did. The panini was the traditional cuban one would expect. The bread was nice and toasted. The meat was juicy which was cut perfectly by the tangy mustard. They really are efficient here. They make the salad while you're in line but then give you a number to put at the table so they bring you the sandwich when it's ready. Plus, who doesn't feel better after eating a healthy lunch? I'll definitely come back here. It's lunch rotation worthy for sure.

Had the special quinoa bowl Vespucci with slow roasted chicken. The chicken was very dry. Also had a regular Edgar Allan Poe salad with slow roasted chicken which was better. The Vespucci cost $9 and the salad $8.75. The cup of soup Colorado green chili cost only $2. Food was good and plentiful but the chicken was just so dry.

I love Mad Greens! Their salads are excellent and the customer service here is top-notch. I can forget to come here for a few months at a time and the next time I go in the staff recognizes me and asks where I've been. That's a good feeling. Only thing I don't like is their prices. A salad a drink can set you back close to $10, which seems really high, but it's good so I guess I can't really complain.

Atmosphere: 7/10 It's a quick spot for lunch in a corporate center-strip, so it's casual. ------------------------- Taste: 8/10 Enjoyed one of their "Premium Salads," the Ty Cobb. So came to Mad greens right at the beginning of lunch time today. It was slightly busy but nothing crazy. I had 1 order to pick up and another order I needed to purchase for myself. Staff was super nice and greeted me with a smile. However... The pick up order was the TY Cobb. The salad looked like it was the end of the bag and just not very appetizing. The chicken was fatty and still had a couple of veins attached. So instead of eating the salad I dug for the Bacon and avocado(which was also a little brown not a big deal). The salad that I purchased it was a custom mixed greens were fresh along with the other ingredients that I got in it, but half way through my salad was a great chunk of cardboard. So 2 stars for speed and customer service.

Pretty good salads for a decent price. I had the salad with ginger dressing, quinoa and peanuts. It was good, but I never catch myself craving anything from this restaurant. However, their creamy lemon curry dressing is pretty awesome.

It's not my favorite salad place for lunch, but it's close and it does the trick. They'll substitute whatever you want from their standard salads on the menu but I've seen them mess up a time or two (when asked to sub the pears for double serving of apples...we got two servings of pears). I usually add Citrus Chicken to my salads to add a little protein. You can let them know how much salad dressing you want (Light, Medium, or Heavy). It's a small establishment, nothing really special. If you are nearby and want a salad give it a shot.

Love salad! I expected more from Mad Greens though. At $7.50 a salad would it hurt them to add more greens? I'm not asking for more of the toppings just a better sized salad. Other than the cost and portion size, this place is 4*. Friendly, patient staff as it took me a few minutes to figure out what I wanted. There wasn't a line, my husband and I were just indecisive. We settled on the Edgar Allen Poe salad and the Mad Rueben panini. Man, the panini was full of flavor, absolutely delicious. The size on the other hand was an average size sandwich I'd make my kids for lunch. At $7.50 that didn't put a smile on my face. The salad, also delicious with the red pepper dressing being my favorite, again the size wasn't anything to be impressed by. Our order was to-go, maybe that's the reason for a smaller salad? I'm not a big water by any stretch of the imagination and half of this salad and panini didn't do it for me. Again, delicious? Yes! Good value? Not even close. Bummer because I love salads. Go to Sweet Tomatoes...with a coupon its $7.50 for all-you-can-eat.

Overall this is a great place to pick up a fresh lunch. The menu offers a lot of flexibility for you to create your own salad, wrap, or panini, but also has menu items from which to choose, including soup. The service is very friendly. The ingredients were fresh. I had the Iomomo, greens, apples (which they had forgotten, I discovered it when I got home), delicious cherry-vanilla nuts, craisins, and feta (I don't eat cheese, but they let me sub another ingredient, I chose strawberries). I added citrus grilled chicken, but it really could have used some more seasoning. I topped it with balsamic vinaigrette, and it was a great blend of flavors. I love seeing my food made right in front of me, so I can see exactly what goes into it. The salad was quite delicious, and I will happily return for a good healthy lunch. The seating inside is a little limited, but there is a nice outdoor patio, as well.

MAD Greens is a refreshing option to the burgers and subs I normally get --- and a much better/healthier choice. The folks behind the counter are pretty attentive and move you down the line quickly. If you are on the hungrier end -- I recommend adding & doubling your protein. Surprising this has been able to fill me up without me feeling yucky later. Additionally, this place has one of the better "Coca-Cola" pours and has the syrup mix just a bit higher --- which makes it taste better. I would try to avoid the 30 minute window between Noon and 12:30 as the line can get long. Other than that -- the wait isn't too bad.

Ok how complicated can salad be? Well this place has several combinations that will make your head swim. Yes it is a chain with a slight Chipotle decor- wood steel etc. You order and walk an assembly line and your salad drink etc is rung up at a cash register. So what makes this place worth it? The variety of fixings and the freshness of all the components. Plus vegan or carnivore there are choices here for all. I think the prices are fair for what you get and the items taste great. The menu has salads in a variety of sizes, paninis, wraps and soup. There are Mad kids meals and everything is marked if it Gluten Free or vegan. I had a premium salad called the Edgar Allan Poe with the balsamic-- awesome! They have 20 different dressings and all the classic kinds to some off the wall (at least for me) choices like spicy sriracha almond vinaigrette. Prices range from $5.85 to $7.50 and you can create a combo and add soup or a half panini to your salad choice. Mad Greens website had an interactive allergy menu and has partnered with a farm in Elizabeth to supply greens, veggies and herbs. Overall I love this place and I would come back here if I was up in Denver-- sorry Springs folks we don't have one;(

This place is great for a quick, healthy lunch. I love that they show calorie counts on the menu and the salad dressing calorie counts are displayed as well- just gotta do a little math! I like being able to make informed decisions about my food choices and their "true" level of healthiness. Those darn pitas on the side get me every time though- I can't resist! It's definitely pricier than going to a salad bar at the grocery store, but you're paying for someone to make your food for you! I always get the Edgar Allen Poe salad- there is something about the combo of apple, pear, walnut and blue cheese that I need to have. I usually get it with the steak (yes, upcharge) and their recommended dressing but today I was "good" and ordered the lower calorie balsalmic vinaigrette; that vinaigrette was bland! I wish I'd brought my own dressing for home with the same calorie count and better flavor. All in all this is definitely somewhere I go a few times a year. Service is always great. Restaurant is always clean- with seating inside and out. It's never blown me away with anything though, thus only 4 stars.

Fresh fast food that wasn't too expensive. When you walk in you order and take a number to your table and they bring your food when it is ready. The portion sizes are on the small side so if you are absolutely starving be warned. I had the Mad Cuban Panini and added a cup of wedding soup for $2. My husband had Annie Oakley panini and hummus and pita for a side. All of our food tasted good and fresh.

What to do for a 3.5 review? This is another restaurant from my gluten free weekend adventures. They were nearby and boasted an interesting salad menu with protein options. The staff was great about answering questions. Their portions are large, but they're willing to portion them on in a takeaway container if you think it's too much for you. That was a cool option. I dug the metal bowls, the efficiency, and the scraping noise they made when mixing the salad. So far, so good. Everyone liked their salads. They allowed me to sample the creamy ginger suggested for the Don Quixote. I requested medium dressing, but it still proved too creamy, leaving the ginger whitewashed. In the end, the large salad didn't fill me as much as I would have liked. Also, I would have liked slightly larger mango chunks. They got lost in the shuffle.

I stopped here for a quick lunch because, as cliché as it may be, being a vegetarian has always made me giddy about the thought of creating my own salad as one creates a Subway sandwich. A whole establishment revolving around salads, you say?? Sign me up! They have some standard salads here, like the typical Greek or Caesar, as well as some more unique ones, and you can add or take away ingredients as you like. They had a massive station (a la Subway) filled with salad ingredients, including different types of greens, proteins (including tofu and portabello!!), and at least a dozen choices of dressings. I also tried their vegetable soup which was vegetarian AND gluten-free and it was quite tasty! Paninis are on the menu as well and you can also get warm pita bread, fruit salad, or some other sides with your meal if you like. BEWARE, however, that even asking for "light" dressing was a bit too much for me. I usually use as little as possible and it felt like my salad was soaked, so I can't imagine what anything more than "light" would have been like. That's why I had to take away a star, unfortunately. They also sell Sweet Leaf Tea, which delighted my little old Texas heart. There were several types of their own tea that looked interesting but living in Texas has made me a bit of an iced tea snob (I know, I know) so I played it safe. They also had desserts, apparently, but I didn't see/get any. Overall, this is a veg-friendly, healthy option whenever you want to grab a quick meal. I also thought the prices were quite fair, as I believe it was around $5.30 for what I thought was a decent-sized salad if you chose one off the menu. Building your own is 60 cents to 1 dollar per ingredient so I would stay with the menu options and modify only a little bit to keep the cost down. Oh, and they recycle! If I lived in Denver I think I'd come here a lot.

I have no idea how I missed writing a Mad Greens review. It is one of those places I go to so much I must have assumed I wrote a review! Mad Greens is one of my go to lunch places in the Park Meadows area. Its quick, tasty and healthy - what else could I ask for? OK, their prices are TOO HIGH. Every time my husband and I go we manage to spend almost $20 bucks. Not terrible if we were at a sit down restaurant, but for counter service it is a bit pricey. However, price aside, I enjoy the place. The ingredients are fresh, there are lots of salads to choose from and we always get in and out without a problem. Some of my fave salads are the General Custer (like eating hot wings - only the salad version), the Mad BLT (horseradish ranch is the best part) and the Ty Cobb is always a winner. In my opinion, for a healthy lunch in the Park Meadows area, Mad Greens can't be beat!

So since I am in Denver now, I've gonna try as many places as possible. Eat smart, healthy....sure why not. I got a salad, Cuban sandwich and Colorado Green Chili, for dinner and lunch the next day. While the salad was good and the sandwich, so-so, that dang Colorado Green Chili is the bomb. That shit is good! Spicy, tasty, delicious, all of the above! And to think I found this place by accident, just driving around! Talk about a pleasant surprise! I'll be back....!

Mad Greens is a nice alternative to the typical self serve, all-you-can-eat salad bars. Interesting concept, fresh, hand crafted, salads made to order in front of you in a Chipotlesque sorta way. In fact, the decor and service line is almost identical to early Chipotle Restaurants. Holy cow someone actually wants you to care about what you chose to eat. This is fantastic! Mad Greens is a Colorado creation and is really into the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Smart Meal Restaurant Program. Check it out at smartmealcolorado.com/ho… . Mad Greens also has a handy nutritional calculator that allows you to customize all the nutritional information for the meal you ate there madgreens.com/calories_s… The food is really good at Mad Greens. In addition to salads they also offer soups, wraps, & paninis. The basic regular sized salads are only $5.60, but be careful with adds & changes because they will quickly increase your total. If it is your first visit, I recommend spending some time studying the menu before you step up to order.

Oh nummers! This place is bomb! Not only is it very healthy with great all natural snacks and meals but the selection is fantastic. You don't have to just get a salad either (although they are pretty big). You can turn any salad into a wrap, which is exactly what I did. I had a bbq chicken salad wrap that was AWESOME! The flavors melded so well together and the ingredients were fresh. Just be warned that they charge upwards of $1 per extra item you put in your wrap. They also offer a selection of yummy healthy chips and beverages. This is a great lunch spot for the health conscience person on the go. Really enjoyed my first visit and I will most likely be back again shortly.

A co-worker and I come here pretty regularly. The staff is friendly and the salads are yummy. I typically get the Ty Cobb or Mad BLT salad. Light on the ranch dressing. (I recently tried their Annie Oakley panini. It was average.) One thing I appreciate is the fact that they ask you how heavy you want your salad dressing. Now, I know this is not unique to Mad Greens, but it is something I appreciate.

I absolutely love the tofu here. I don't know what they marinate it in, but I always get it tossed with oranges, spinach, some pecans and jicama and it is a great salad. It is always busy at this location, so yeah, sometimes they make a mistake or two- they forgot my silverware once. But I love Mad Greens because I just feel so gosh darn healthy afterwards. Salads are plentiful as are the panni's which of course, I always get the roasted vegetable. It is fresh and usually, very good.

So many salads.... So many expensive salads... Which is why Mad Greens gets three stars from me. My mom and I both got regular size salads, two cookies, two drinks, and the bill came to $27?!?! Holy smokes! Wayyyy too much. Go to the Whole Foods salad bar for cheaper. I'm sure they have all the same ingredients as your favorite salad at Mad Greens. The dressing was way overdone, too. I asked for light dressing and the woman practically saturated my salad with this vinagrette stuff. Can't imagine what heavy is like. It's pretty good, and that's the truth. But I won't be coming back unless my mom is paying (hehe). Too pricey for what it is.

I had the Don Quixote--baby greens , mango, avocado, roasted corn and jack cheese, with the recommended ginger dressing. ....All I could taste was FISH!!!??? Maybe it was the avocado, and mango, and ginger. All the stuff I have with sushi. Kinda nasty as a salad. Fish salad. Wasn't what I thought it would be, and my expectations where high. I won't write off Mad Greens yet though, my first time was wonderful. I'll just chalk it up to this particular salad, and maybe the stuff wasn't as fresh as it could be.

I was completely disappointed by my experience at Mad Greens. I've been using salads as a quick lunch during work lately, so I decided to try Mad Greens today. After all, the regular salads on the menu were cheaper than the ones I usually get. This is a typical made-to-order type restaurant where you stand in line and have the people behind the counter assemble your salad as you go along. The only thing I noticed to differentiate this place was that all of the salads were served in big metal bowls. I decided to order a regular sized Nobo Seagaru because I'm usually a fan of soy ginger dressing. The first girl behind the counter asked me something I couldn't hear, so I declined. After my salad had been assembled, another girl asked me whether I wanted the dressing light, medium, or heavy, which I thought was a nice touch (although I had to ask her to repeat herself since I couldn't hear her the first time). I was a bit surprised when I got to the register and the salad cost me close to $10 instead as opposed to the $6.25 listed on the menu. Apparently it's because there was chicken in the salad, but I'm fairly certain I didn't ask for any. As far as the salad, most of the greens were good, but the tomatoes were only okay (especially for this time of the year), the chicken was severely overcooked and dry (not a good add-on at $2.25), and the soy ginger dressing was very weak (I could hardly taste the ginger at all). I know I won't ever come back here and I wouldn't really recommend trying it out.

I love this place. They prepare salads by the order and you can 'create your own' or order a delicious salad off the menu. They have a variety of dressings and condiments. They also sell panini's and soups. Their Italian Wedding soup was excellent. And for those of you who need some carbs to keep you through the day, they also sell warm side pita bread for $.99. My soup and salad was $6.95. There is a seating area, but it fills up quickly and the diners don't seem to be in a rush (I saw a few newspapers and 'Real Simple' being read). There is easy parking also.

I don't go out to lunch that often, but when I do it's usually to Mad Greens or Chipotle. I always get the Edgar Allen Poe with citrus chicken. There is something about the fruit and blue cheese that I love. I LOVED Mad Greens, but lately (at least this location) seems to be slipping. The past two times I've gone they've messed up something on my salad and had to do it again. Once they put pears instead of apples (when it should have been the other way around). And the chicken on that salad was tougher and drier than it had been in the past. A couple days ago when I went in I swear the woman making my salad wasn't even listening to me. I had to repeat aspects of my order a couple of times. Then when it came time for dressing I requested it to be very light. She proceeded to put at least 1/2 cup of dressing in. And, when I commented that it was way too much dressing part way through she just looked at me and continued to put more dressing on! The guy at the cash register seriously asked me if they could just put more lettuce in to fix it. I think not! When she remade my salad she barely put any dressing on at all and did not show it to me to ask if it was good (like they always do). I wasn't going to push it at that point. My salad did end up being tasty, so they still get 3 stars, but I really wish they would get back up to the level they once were.

No way! So my wife took me to Mad Greens last week for the first time and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Although the menu is a little daunting for a newbie, the idea of picking from the, "Mad Designed Salads" put me at ease. I opted for the small Ty Cobb, which was a collage of Crisp Romaine Lettuce, Avocado, Tomatoes, Crunchy Bacon, Red Onions, Eggs, and Chicken. Blue cheese was the dressing of choice, but I did like the idea of the Salad Master asking me at each ingredient if I thought this was enough. Even when we reached the blue cheese the "light on the dressing" didn't fit quick well after my salad was mixed and I opted for a bit more. The small I ordered was plenty for me and actually split a large with my wife this week for dinner. (Generous portions) The Park Meadows location has ample seating inside of the restaurant for about 25 folks. More than that you'll have to head outside where half a dozen table are at your disposal. The location is not too hard to find and with Illegal Pete's next door the competition should get fierce here real soon.

It's a salad bonanza! I used to eat lunch here all the time when my office was right next door. It's sort of like the Chipotle of salad. You choose your lettuce and all your toppings (there is a big variety of meats, veggies, nuts, fruits, dressings, etc.) from behind the counter, or choose one of the pre-designed salads. They're actually pretty damn good, and the salad tossers (huh huh huh, she said salad tossers!) are so friendly they're almost creepy. The bad part is that by the time you add in all of the crazy ingredients you've ever dreamed of, it can get pretty expensive. One time I spent freakin' $12 on a salad here. Also, I was pretty pissed off that they changed the Napoleon salad so much that it wasn't even worth ordering anymore. Boo. I highly recommend the ginger dressing. YUM! Also, there are tons of hot chicks here who are trying to keep their girlish figures by eating veggies. Just a tip, guys. ;-)

The food is great, but every Mad Greens location has employees that are touching food and don't wear gloves.

Just a tip, guys. ;-)

Ordered the Ivan. Definitely expected a typical salad but with the generous goat cheese servings it was an atypical flavor sensation.
