Fun place, really nice atmosphere. Service was friendly but a little on the slow side. I appreciate that they had a full Pan-Asian menu plus a very interesting sushi menu. I tried a kobe beef roll and a lobster roll. Both were good, though the beef was very fatty. Looks like they'll also got some good happy hour specials from 3-7 pm. I would come here again.

I've lived down the street from this treasure for just over two years, and now I've finally eaten here! We just ordered some food to go, and while the wait was a bit long for a Monday night, I can't really complain. Ordered the sweet & sour chicken, Mongolian beef, and crab cheese wontons. It's really hard to mess up wontons, these were delicious! I'm definitely a fan, and will consider this my new Chinese food go-to for sure! Can't wait to try their sushi, the menu is incredibly extensive and looks super yummy! Will be back again and again. Just ate my leftovers for lunch, and still amazing!

I was hungry for sushi tonight and wanted to explore while on travel and skip my usual. With the solid four Yelp star average rating, I was very excited to give this place a chance. When I entered, I was both amazed with the decor and the friendly staff. I was seated promptly at a very comfortable table. I placed my order and waited, turns out they missed the Cucumber Salad on my order sheet, discovered it when the sushi was delivered. No big deal though, as it was very salty and returned it anyways. I had high expectations, and was hoping this place could be my new sushi place. When my order of California Roll, Rainbow Roll and Spicy Yellowtail with Apple arrived, I was quickly disappointed. Instantly it made sense, the prices on the menu were very low, but at a cost of size. Usually the Rainbow Roll is easily discernible from the smaller California and Spicy sushi rolls, by its sheer size and vibrant color of the fish atop. I almost called the waitress over to ask where my Rainbow Roll was, but quickly realized it was just pathetically sitting there. The overall quality and presentation was great. I guess I rather pay more and have nice chunks of fish on my, all time favorite, Rainbow Roll. I've had hundreds of them, but this one was in the top five most sensible ones. When I desire sushi, I want it to be like Miso Phat in Maui and I don't mind dishing out some cash for it. Sushi is expected to be pricey and the world knows it; making it a bargain will result in the undesirable. However, if bargain quality sushi is what you want, this is the place for it.

Deceiving from outside and you walk in to an updated decor and nice welcoming restaurant. Very nice sushi chefs and wait staff. Good sushi and great prices.

Have been here a long time ago...the name may have been different then, but either way, pretty decent sushi. I was pleasantly surprised. The waitress was kind and on top of it. The place was comfortable and our meal hit the spot! We will be returning again!!

The atmosphere of this place really surprised us! Their food is great- I don't think I've ever been disappointed. Prices are pretty steep for sushi, however (about $13 per roll). Try their beef and broccoli, green curry, or the james sushi roll.

Don't let the strip mall location steer you away; This atmosphere is great I nside... But the food is even better We had lunch specials. Penang curry; kids meal; and lo mein But be sure to share... They are LARGE portions. Kind servers. Good value.

With apologies to Creedence Clearwater Revival . . . I see an East Moon arisin' I see lunch is on the way I see vittles and dinin' I see good food today If ya go 'round tonight Well, it's bound to change your life There's an East Moon on the rise ---------------------- I expected this place to be pretty good, but I was blown away by how much I enjoyed the food (and in the suburbs!). I had purchased an Amazon Local deal a couple months back, and it was close to expiring. So, I dropped by, ordered over $20 worth of food, and planned on taking home a bunch of leftovers. The interior is nice, and dark, and classy. I was the only person in the restaurant for lunch until about 11:45am on a weekday. The service was very good throughout the entire meal. The wonton soup was solid. Good flavors that went nicely with a chilly day. The hot and sour soup was some of the very best I have ever had, period! It was delicious, with lots of interest odd and ends. It was visually appealing. And, it came out piping hot. Finally, it managed to completely avoid the slimy texture or metallic notes pitfalls that I seem to encounter with hot and sour. The pan-fried gyoze were more like a potsticker (in my opinion). But, they put a nice sear on the bottom, the tops were tender, the flavor was good, and the dipping sauce was a great pairing. The drunken noodles (with chicken) were also excellent. For a lunch portion ($7.50 including soup/salad, and veggie eggroll), this was a huge serving. There was a lot of chicken, which was moist and tender. The Thai flavors were all there, even if they were not as pronounced as you might get in some places. The noodles were ample, tender, and well-coated, without being super oily. The veggie eggroll was hot, crisp, and enjoyable. I wound up taking half of the drunken noodles home with me. The red Panang curry (with chicken) was very nice. I only had a few bites of it, before I had them box it up. But, it had all the flavors and textures I expected. Again, this was a largish portion for a lunch special. I would gladly come back here again. I just cannot believe I had such good food on a deal (Groupon/Amazon/Living Social, etc.). I even have a 15% off my next order Yelp Check-in saved on my phone for my next visit.

The sushi and the drunken noodle dish was delicious. The service, however, is the worst I've experienced in a long time. They very clearly forgot to put in the order for the drunken noodles and when they finally noticed, there were no apologies nor did they even acknowledge that they forgot (I watched her put the order in). It took a long time for them to notice our neatly stacked plates and silverware toward the edge of the table (I served once, I like to help). No one asked how our meal was. We waited too long between each part of the meal - including waiting for menus and the initial greeting from a server. The only person that was nice to us was the girl at the host stand who greeted us and thanked us before we left. There were only 3 other tables. She did add, "Hope to see you again next time." I tried to wait until I was no longer in sight before I shook my head no.

Great food . Everything was tasty and fresh . Service was very friendly and promote. We can't wait to come back . Gets better every time :) They have a great happy hour on Tuesday. This might be my new favorite sushi place in this area. You have to try it !

Just ordered delivery. Hot dishes were excellent, sushi was excellent. All at a reasonable price and delivery only took 30 MINUTES!! And they have online ordering. I've been ordering from Egg Roll King down the street for a year and the delivery always takes 90 minutes and the food is all slopped all over the bag. Very impressed!

I really wants this to be better. We used to frequent the one up north and although not amazing it was worlds better than this location. There's plenty of options for Asian in the area. I recommend giving someone else your time and money.

Ever since I moved to Colorado, I've been ordering East Moons online delivery about once a week, sometimes twice. Their sushi is THAT good- mixing and matching with the menu is always a good time, because you can NEVER go wrong. The main reason I've already pegged East Moon as my go-to sushi place is the prices and deals! All you can eat sushi Tuesday, $1 sushi weekends, and lunch specials EVERY DAY? I'm completely down for that. $15 for two fresh sushi rolls and some appetizers or noodles? That's the best deal in town. Highly recommended, and if you're reading reviews trying to decide where to go? Stop. This is it. You know it, I know it, everyone else who has already reviewed this place knows it- scroll up and click directions or order delivery, you won't regret it!

I don't know how many times we've been there now but it's been a lot. Still love it. I think the Sweetheart Roll is still my fave. They also shared a tempura salmon appetizer on the house and it was excellent. I'd love to see more chef special options and maybe some beef related items on the menu. But the reason I'm writing you this time, dear reader, is a new cocktail. Now, daddy got a rare night out by himself so I tucked myself into the corner with some work and figured I'd get my fish on with a few Sapporo. Instead I put on my skirt and ordered a Mai Tai. THEN I had Sapporo (a large one). Then another one (small this time because , hey, I don't have a problem). But before I finished it they brought me this icy concoction in a pint glass. I figured it was a dessert thing - iced coffee or something, but no. It was a new cocktail called the Inception. Weird name, I know. All I remember (and frankly it's all pretty fuzzy in retrospect) was that the drink was made with Earl Grey tea infused gin. That's not some weird auto-correct nonsense. It's not something I would have ever ordered myself (especially since the last time I had gin it was most of a bottle of Tanqueray and I nearly lost my cookies the next day driving to Kentucky Lake. Whatever, that's not important.) I have to say, the Inception was great! Really refreshing, unique flavor, and I appreciate that they gave it to me to try! (What I appreciate more is that I live within walking distance...owww.)

Very glad we came here! Do not let the "corner of an average suburban shopping mall" scare you away... They have a nice modern feel going here. The bathroom was a bit jacked up, though, for such a nice place. Service was amazingly friendly from the get-go. We were greeted at the door by a friendly woman who seemed like she may have been the owner. There was a reserved space due to Open Table. Immediately ordered some hot sake, a couple rolls and a cocktail. The cocktail had great flavor but needed more alcohol. Rolls were pretty good. The Christmas one was my favorite. They were generally made well, although the snow crab one pretty much fell apart and was hard to pick up. All other rolls were easy to pick up and pleasing to the eye. Pretty good for sushi in suburban Colorado with extra nice staff who had a great sense of humor overall!! Definitely a good place to come if you are staying at one of the hotels around the Lone Tree area. I would be interested in trying some of the other food on the menu as well. This place is good for a date, a family or a friends gathering for sure.

My family was visiting from California and we tend to have high expectations when it comes to food. We tried some other places with 4.5 rating but food was lacking in flavor. We came for lunch on a Saturday and the place was empty and a bit worried but we were pleasantly surprised This place was decorated very trendy and elegant. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our order consisted of Never Try Never Roll, California roll, Crab roll, tuna roll and Chicken Bento Box. They came with salad and miso soup and edemame. All the food was delicious, even my niece and nephew, who are picky eaters enjoyed it. We finished everything we ordered. Definitely a MUST place to visit if you are craving sushi or Asian food (thai, chinese, vietnamese) because they have vast menu to please anyone in your party. They have great deals for lunch as well. Check in on Yelp for 15% off. Our total was only $38, tip generously.

East Moon still makes great sushi but their happy hour isn't nearly as good. They still do $1 sushi on the weekends but during the week only appetizers are on special for $3-$5. The only sushi special is a dinner for 2 for $30. This gives you a choice of salad, one appetizer to share, and then a variety of entree choices like 10 piece sashimi or 2 specialty rolls. It just doesn't offer the same rolls on HH that it once did. We may return but will probably go back to Land if Sushi first.

Excellent food, great portions, beautiful decor, and good service. It seemed like we were dining in a ritzy restaurant, yet the luncheon special was a terrific value. Who could ask for more?

Wow, really delicious sushi in the "burbs"! We came in armed with a Groupon and a hungry herd. We tried so many rolls and sushi selections that we were not sure we could finish but we managed somehow. My favorites included: **Green Dragon Roll Eel, cucumber inside; avocado and masago on top ** Rainbow Roll California roll inside; tuna salmon, white tuna, white fish and avocado on top ** Never Try Never Roll Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, kiwi inside; lobster salad, crisp crabmeat on top The Fire Roll also gets honorable mention. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints. The interior is warm and inviting but I think we may try sitting right at the sushi bar next time! We will certainly be back!

So proud of the adventurous sushi chef on Mothers Day. The special menu had rolls I hadn't heard of before (Bloody Ocean for example), and they were spectacular. I stuffed myself fiercely and was sad I didn't have the room to try the rest of that special menu. Do it again next year, please!

Lunch special is good value. I had spicy salmon with mango. I enjoyed the crunchy sesame seeds around the roll. I also had the yellowtail with scallion which was good. The salad dressing was interesting with its peanut flavor. I would had preferred a Japanese dressing.

What a surprise, we were driving by and saw this restaurant and thought to try it out. The fish was wonderfully fresh and a great selection on the menu. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area.

East Moon has quickly become my go-to spot for both sushi and Chinese food! I've never had a bad experience here - staff is friendly and attentive and the food is delicious! I recommend this place to everyone. You can tell that the fish they use for their sushi is high quality and fresh. They do a great job with all your traditional rolls and have some great original rolls as well. My grandma, who is a total sushi snob whose family is from Japan, even loves this place.

Excellent atmosphere, great service. Decent prices on sushi. I ordered the avocado roll, and the asparagus roll. Along with sweet and sour chicken (enough to split between two people and have leftovers) and i shared the sweet potato roll with a friend. The rice is perfect - best i have had. Everything was fresh, prepared and presented nicely. I had a wonderful time here and i highly recommend it!

Very nice looking restaurant, the staff have smiles on their faces, come to check with us quite often, are very informative (when I inquired about the All You Can Eat lunch and dinner, I got loads of information as well as the menus). The food is very nicely presented, especially the Miso Black Cod on the dinner menu. I thought I was in it for a deal when I saw the price was $12. Sure enough, it was very tiny, about two bites, lol. And I made a mistake of packing the brown rice too soon, turned out the fish was heavily marinated, it was tasty, but very salty. Almost reminds me of Chinese salted fish! We also had the Thai Fried Rice, combo with shrimp, beef, and chicken, skipped the jalapenos. Mom LOVED this dish, thought it was quite flavorful, greasy and satisfying. I happened to like Jasmin rice in my fried rice, this was Sushi rice. Sushi rolls were good, creative, one of the rolls we tried did not have rice it it, it was tempura lobster and crab salad rolled in cucumber ribbons! But I wish they'd make more special sauces to drizzle on the sushi rolls and make them more decadent. When I eat sashimi or sushi pieces with raw fish on rice, I expect to dip in wasabi soy sauce, but not when I order special rolls. I feel like they are special because of the sauces, this was a let down at East Moon. I'd come back again to take advantage of the 15% off next visit from Yelp!

Great ambiance.. +3/5 food & service -- didn't offer white or brown rice. All you can eat menu for ~$16 but opted for the lunch special ~$8 (till 3pm) of their tasty mango thai sauce w/ an abundance of vegetables.. Didn't run out of beef at the end - more meat then meets the eye haH. Good magazine section at the vestibule. Solid 3+ for now. I'll use the 15% Yelp check in discount next time around for their sushi.

I was very disappointed when I ordered takeout from here. I got the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was very very hard, the taste wasn't great either. I wouldn't come here again.

We got delivery from East Moon over the weekend when I didn't want to drive anywhere, and it was great! Delivery service was the best I've had yet via Grubhub-- our food arrived twenty minutes ahead of schedule, even with bad weather. We had: --Tempura: both the shrimp and vegetables were quite good, and there was an interesting variety of vegetables. The sauce had some flavor to it as well. --Gyoza: good pork filling and pan-fried well, not soggy or crispy. Good dipping sauce with this too. --Black pepper chicken: my husband had this dish, extra spicy, and enjoyed it. I don't know that I'll try them for sushi because I already have a go-to sushi place, but this might be my new favorite pick for delivery.

This was my second visit for lunch using a $20 Yelp deal. Again, I was the only customer there on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Deluxe Sashimi ($13) and Shrimp Tempura Roll ($7) again. The server brought me miso soup AND house salad at the same time even though on the menu the AND was blacked out. The miso soup was hot this time and had little cubes of tofu and two different kinds of seaweed in it. The house salad had iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots with a creamy peanutty Thousand Island dressing. It took 27 minutes from the time I ordered for the sushi chef to show up behind the sushi bar. I think they called him in to make my sushi. I didn't see anyone behind the sushi bar while I was eating my soup and salad. I was wondering if they were going to make the sushi in the kitchen. Once he showed up, my Deluxe Sashimi took less than 10 minutes to prepare and my Shrimp Tempura Roll took a few more minutes to prepare. The server brought the Deluxe Sashimi to my table and told me what everything was on the long plate. There were 2 pieces of Yellowtail, 3 slices of Tuna, 3 slices of Salmon, and 2 pieces of Seabass with shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers, pickled cucumbers, sliced lemons, and a shisho leaf. Everything tasted good. The Shrimp Tempura Roll had 8 bite-sized pieces rather than 5 large pieces like they usually make it. The shrimp tempura had the tails on with cucumber, avocado, asparagus, and fish egg on the outside with a drizzle of eel sauce. I was not able to finish the Shrimp Tempura Roll, so the server took the plate and boxed it up. He included a small container of soy sauce and chopsticks in a stapled paper bag which was a nice touch.

This is not imitation chinese food or japanese sushi. This is HIGH QUALITY & GREAT INGREDIENTS food. I enjoyed thr Combo with Mongolian Sauce & Brown rice. Its the best I've had in 5 years! Staff was very courteous and accommodating.

I consider myself a sushi snob. I love sushi and I love fresh fish (raw preferably). They have really good fish for their price and location. Being in a land bound state, they have amazing freshness. I like their "white tuna", salmon, and tuna raw sashimi. All their rolls are great and many are creative. Taste: 9/10 Price: 9/10 Service: 10/10 (super nice people) Ambience: 9/10 This is my top 3 sushi restaurants in Colorado. Love love love. My typical bill for two people is between 20-45$.

We are sushi freaks and this is our favorite sushi place! East Moon's sushi is not only delicious and of great quality, it is also unique and creative. Each roll has a distinct flavor and that is the reason we love this place so much. Skyfall roll and Steve's are the best sweet rolls in the menu. The spicy salmon and mango hand roll is super fresh. Our kid's favorite is Seven. We haven't tried a roll that we don't like yet. Servers are very nice and the whole staff is kind to regulars like us. Last week we got desert as a courtesy for our children, it was delicious! A must try for sushi lovers!

Some excellent sushi rolls - interesting and tasty!! I had to deduct one star because their sushi rice is sometimes too dry with hard-ish grains. But, the Lucky 7 roll is one of the best I've ever had. Ever.

I'm still shaking my head about the experience we had here the other week. We went here for my birthday and to say it was an experience I will never forget is just spot on.....and not in a good way. Walking into this place you're completely taken off guard because the décor doesn't match the strip mall location that it's in. It's modern, trendy and just out of place. It was a Thursday night and for that it there were a few tables seating when we walked in but nothing near packed. There was no host to greet us and she finally came over to seat us. We were greeted a few minutes after by our server who seemed out of it and like she didn't know what was going on. We ordered the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer, a salad and wine. She brought out the wraps first, which lacked flavor along with coming with measly looking pieces of iceberg and when I asked her if I could get my glass of wine she looked confused. WTH is up with homegirl slice? So I saw her go to the bar, talk with one of the other servers and I looked away and then the glass was to me a couple of minutes later. I was playing it cheap by getting the house red blend which tasted like bathwater! If I didn't know better, I would have thought that Miss clueless had poured a few different wines into one since it was a blend. I didn't even finish the glass because it was that bad and I think that was the first time in my life I didn't finish a glass of wine which is just depressing... What makes this even sadder is that the sushi rocked! We had the Fire roll and Never Try Never roll (still confused by that name) both were completely different flavors and even though the Never Try Never roll was on the sweeter side for which I usually choose for sushi, it was great. The sushi is the ONLY reason why this place isn't getting one star. When we walked out, we saw a whiteboard with the specials on it--which Miss Clueless/Personality never told us about it so that was great as well. I will never go back here.

Today is the last time I come to this place. It took forever for them to serve the sushi. The price has increased, not only the price but also the rice portion on the nigiri. I think they are trying to stuff customer with the rice so you do not order more. When I asked for another menu the not so friendly waiter told me that if I can't finish there will be an extra charge for the left over. Enough East moon. You just lost another customer !!

I ordered lunch online through yelp and my meal was ready as soon as I walked in. I ordered the sushi roll special for $9 and got a spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon roll with soup and salad with the combo. Everything was delicious! I got 8 pieces per roll and it was plenty to fill me up for lunch. I enjoyed the spiciness of the rolls and felt they were well made. I would highly suggest this for a lunch space and look forward to trying other items since it's close to work.

We took a chance on East Moon and were impressed! Located at the end of a King Sooper's strip mall, this place is not much to look at, but once entered was surprisingly nice with an intimate atmosphere. We dined early on a Saturday (4p) and were the only ones there, with three or four other tables filling up during our meal. I mention this only because despite the lack of patrons, service was distractingly slow. My boyfriend had the Kabuki meal with three types of rolls. I opted for $1 a piece a la carte sushi (salmon, tuna and yellowtail) and an Eel roll with avocado. The sushi was FANTASTIC. Fresh, delicious, savory . . . Just as high quality as Sushi Den. I wound up ordering more because it was SO good. I will definitely return to East Moon for sushi over Sushi Den any day - it's less expensive, MUCH quieter, and closer to home :) The only reason for the lack of star was the service. No reason for drinks to go unfilled, the check to take so long, etc. with only four tables seated. Hopefully our next visit will be better and I can bump my rating to 5!
