PLEASE come and support this excellent local eatery! Met the owner and here I thought it was a "chain" place. Phenomenal Tomato Basil Soup and the Crab Cake sand which was a unique compliment. I'm coming back because the owner cares - the food was very good - and the recorded music just struck a chord with me.

Great selection of interesting and good burgers. Salads are also great. A fantastic kids menu with options for all. Fairly priced and great service.

I had no idea this place existed until an Amazon Deal brought me in before my weekly trivia at the Mellow Mushroom. They do all their burgers slider sized, which is quite cool since they have a lot of delicious sounding creations. They also mix their ingredients into the burger rather than on top, which was also interesting. I ordered the Centennial, Denver, and Kansas City. The KC was kind of like a gourmet McRib, minus being shaped into a rib. It was pretty tasty, but I think I'd stick to the burgers. The Centennial was pretty good, though I think it would work better as a full burger, as the tastes didn't come out enough for me. The Denver was my favorite. The bacon and mushrooms came through very nicely with the buffalo. In fact, all of the buffalo burgers sounded really good. I think I'd give a higher rating if it weren't for the prices. I ordered three and was satisfied, but that (plus a Coke) ran me over $13 (I added cheese to two of them). The Centennial ended up over $4 alone. I think if this place was in a hole-in-the-wall location it could be cheaper and a better draw. The service was great and it's location is nice (loved the sidewalk seating), but I'm not sure if this concept works there. Though I guess if you're not as hungry as I can be or if you're looking for a snack it could be reasonable, especially for kids.

5 star breakfast! Excellent value for breakfast. Perfectly cooked eggs and delicious green chile. English muffin sandwiches are perfect. Huge English muffins with fluffy eggs, cheese and veggies. The Delta is the best! My husband had the breakfast burrito and also enjoyed! Relaxed atmosphere. Will be back!

I have had much better burgers at the same price. I agree with a previous yelper that the texture is the same throughout every bite. Gets a little monotonous. Staff is less than fair. Been there three times and same slow, unappreciative service each time. The atmosphere and decor is moderately interesting. Really the only semi-plus I could say about this place.

This place is awesome;). I always get the Birmingham , which oddly enough is pulled pork. They are known for their burgers. The burgers are delicious also. The buns are made fresh on site. Don't get me started on how great the fries taste !!! This is also a place that serves breakfast . It's not a huge menu, but it's all good. The egg sandwiches and burritos are to die for:). If you pick snooze over this place you are making a huge mistake:).

I'm going to be generous and give this place 2 stars. That is for the pretty good clam chowder and the serviceable arepas. Nothing on an authentic arepa dealer, but serviceable nonetheless. This, however, cannot be said about the burgers, which are terrible. So the problem with the burgers isn't just about the execution, but stems from the underlying philosophy about what they believe the essence of burger should be. Basically, this place is all about "blended" burgers, meaning that many of their creations involves ingredient that are ground and blended along with the burger meat. Thus there is no contrast in texture between the toppings and the burger itself. Rather, everything is ground so finely and blended so homogeneously that the texture ends up being sausage-like. Furthermore, when you grind meat so finely and pack it so tightly you lose any sense of lightness and juiciness. On top of that major flaw, the beef burger was overcooked and very dry, with no sear on the patty whatsoever. So the cooking of this already doomed patty was very poor. The buns aren't toasted here! Seriously? They are raw ,chewy ,crappy ,untoasted buns. Other than beef, we also sampled the pork and shrimp burger which suffered the same fate. The ground shrimp was just weird, with a somewhat rubbery texture that reminded me of those shrimp balls that one finds in certain Asian soups. The flavored with all these burgers were all wrong. If I had one piece of advice for this establishment it would be: stick to the soups and sides, those are good! But since you base your reputation on the burger, you might seriously rethink the "blended" burger concept. Why not just stick the toppings on top, and better yet, just simplify the menu. Just try and do a few things right (and simple) rather than many things atrociously. Good luck.

I really enjoy all the sliders they have here and it's a very nice atmosphere. The employees were very friendly and they have a nice patio to sit in.

I'm quickly becoming a regular here. Walk in and you are transported to that kind of expat cafe you relied on at your home base city while traveling abroad. The standouts so far are the spicy shrimp slider, arepas, the pecos breakfast burrito, did I mention the arepas?? All natural, lots of gluten free options...and today: roasted poblano soup which is incredible. Just the right amount of heat! Super casual, free wi-fi, lots of small plates! Great world traveler vibe, Eco aware establishment. Love it. It's five stars in its category. It's right across from the fireplace at Southglenn, so it's a great rest stop any time of the day....nice selection of wine and beer, too. Order at the counter, they bring everything to you. Great cookies, too: cinnamon snicker doodles...yum. Unusual food finds here...which I love. A fantastic break from the ordinary!

This was our third visit for breakfast using a $10 Living Social coupon. I was really looking forward to this breakfast, because I knew exactly how to order the potatoes. I ordered the Del Rio Breakfast Burrito and asked if the potatoes could be cooked extra crispy. The cashier acknowledged my request. We sat down and the cashier brought our food to the table. I don't know if the cashier forgot to tell the cook, or if the cook simply did not understand. My potatoes were not extra crispy. They were soft and pale, the way they usually were. So disappointed. Other than that, the flavors of everything else were good. My husband ordered the Santa Fe Breakfast Sandwich. There were 2 of them for $3.85. It had green chiles, cheese, and potatoes on their home-made whole wheat buns (the same ones they use for the burgers). The buns were cold, not grilled and warm. The buns on the hamburgers were served cold too the first time we came for lunch. The Hand Infused Drip Coffee was good as usual. There was only one cafafe of 1/2 and 1/2, so the cashier had to come to our table and get it for the next customer. We probably won't be back. As you can see, they have lost a star on each return visit.

Let's see if the food is as up beat as the environment... I had three of the burgers at Diego Zhang's. They were ooookkkaaayyy. I loved the environment and the service was exceptional, but it just isn't my type of burger joint. I love that they have a great variety to meats and options for all types. If I didn't have a coupon I would not have been satisfied. If I was in the area, I would consider trying it again, otherwise, my apologies Diego Zhang, not my cup of tea.

If there was ever an example of an overpriced burger, this is it. I like most of the things I've tried there, but the portions are ridiculously tiny and overpriced.

Gluten Free eaters beware! While there are GF buns available, nowhere on the menu does it state that there is an addition $1.50 charge PER BUN! And, when you order a gluten free bun, the people at the cash register will not alert you to the additional charge either. After noticing that my charge was unusually high, I took the receipt back up to the cash register and the cashier was so nonchalant about it. "Yes of course there is an additional charge, no we don't need to tell you about it, you are the one that ordered something special and it is too late to make a change." I used to be a fan of Diego Zhang's because of all of the yummy options but due to my last visit there, I will probably never go back.

Delicious burger! But fries were real flimsy, they had great flavor though and a few crispy ones in the mix were real good. Probably get a salad to go with my "mini burger" next time, which was plenty of burger for 1 person.

  • Joseph O.

Good food. Great atmosphere. Quality products for choosing, however there seems to be something missing here. Almost as if this place is deliberately trying to make you feel picky since they don't allow certain food modifications. Overall, I recommend this establishment yet I'm not it's number one fan. No disrespect. Much gratitude towards conceptual execution.

Between my wife and I we had the buffalo burger with bacon and blue cheese, the meatloaf burger, the salmon burger, the shrimp burger, and the just plain burger with tomato and lettuce. All of them were what I would describe as "pretty good" and none were what I would describe as "great." The closest one to great was the shrimp burger. It had a spiciness to it and a tasty peanut sauce. As others have noted, these are mini burgers. I would place them in size between a bar slider and a McDonald's cheeseburger. I ate 3 and could have eaten more. The price is reasonable. The setting is forgettable. The food is fine if you are in the shopping center and want a burger and for some reason can't get to 5 star, but not worth a trip out of your way to eat.

  • Lily S.

Like another Yelper said, great concept! I wish more restaurants serve up mini burgers (or mini anything, as a matter of fact) so you can try everything! While some creations worked beautifully such as The Salmon buger (surprisingly moist), The Bang Kok Shrimp burger (bursting of flavors). Others did not (the buffalo burger was really dry). But they are all cute sliders that are easy on the eyes, and the buns easy on the mouth (so soft!). Next time I'm around Southglenn I'll have to pop in and try their hand crafted ice cream sandwich, the different cookies and ice cream options got me intrigued!

Came here after the dog park the other day and was intrigued by the slider concept. I opted for three sliders, the mayfield, centennial, Chengdu (special) with a fountain drink. These aren't your typical burgers, the ingredients typically found on the top of ones burger is actually chopped or blended and put inside the burger. It's an interesting idea, I think I miss the texture when it's put on the inside of my burger. Also, keep in mind cheese is extra, almost $1 a slider, that can get pricey and the standard lettuce, tomato and onion are not items they put on a slider, you have to ask (not an extra charge here but you need to ask). Three sliders and a fountain drink cost over $12, no fries or sides, this is a little high if you ask me. The flavors were good and they offer quite a few different sauces that were tasty. I thought the sliders were a bit on the dry side. Overall this place is pretty good, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. If I was in the neighborhood I may drop in.

  • Kara T.

Kind of a cool idea for a buger joint. You can get smaller sized burgers, so you can try some of the various types they have, and it'll equal out to about the same as one regular burger. I tried 2 different ones and am sad that I can't remember which ones now! But, they were decent. I wasn't paying attention and had to go back and get french fries because they are not included with the burger.

Why is this place not packed when I come in? I think people like a previous reviewer sees it isn't full and leaves without trying the food. I guess enjoy Chili's or Applebee's or where ever it is you go that's packed and terrible. This food is amazing. Their breakfast burritos are unrivaled in Denver, seriously. Get something smothered in their green chili and you will not be disappointed. Their burgers are more like sliders. Most people I know get 2. Take a chance, go to flavor country. Everything I've ever eaten here has been fantastic.

Enjoyed the front patio and the food since Diego's opened. The food is consistently fabulous, filling and quick to the table. The only improvement would be for the owner to connect with the guests - he lost his taste buds and one is led to wonder if it's not the food, or the patrons, why is he in the business? That said, the food is spot on and the front patio a perfect spot to enjoy a great coffee, breakfast burrito or a pregnant English muffin sandwich.

I would definitely go back. I'd be curious to try some of their other burgers. I had a BBQ burger and it was just okay. I think they lost me with their choice of BBQ sauce; there was nothing great about it. Tasted like a very average, store-bought bottled sauce. They had several options that I would have considered trying, but the menu was a bit overwhelming considering I had people waiting on me. So I picked quick with BBQ, one of my "safety foods". I actually liked the "slider" sized portion. I was full when I left, but could have gone for gluttony-gold and added one or two more. I opted for comfortably full. I was worried about the fries because they were shoestring style like you would get at Smashburger or Freddy's. I'm more of a fan of the natural cut fries you would get at 5 Guys Burgers. That said, these were the best shoestring fries I have had. Perfectly salted and blazing hot when they came to my table. The restaurant was clean, the prices reasonable, and the service was quick.

We walked in, and damn, what a spacious place! Diego Zhang's prides itself on using worldly flavor influences, showing the slider is a great canvas for any cuisine. I figured two sliders would be good. I went with a wheat bun for both, possibly the softest wheat slider buns I've ever had. Yeah, that'd be a great start, fellas. In the Centennial slider, buffalo meat gets blended with jalapenos, poblanos, red peppers, onions, and cilantro. For 50 more cents, I added some melted cheese. Vintage buffalo cheeseburger slider! The meat may have been slightly dry, but buffalo already is a leaner meat than your usual beef. The winner of the two -- by virtual Bruce Lee asskicking -- was the Shanghai. Ground chicken blended with carrot, cabbage, and green onion, topped with a sweet/spicy Asian sauce. Extremely flavorful, a party on my tongue. Juicy chicken here makes me one singing happy panda. The BBQ sauce appears to be (and tastes like) it's KC influenced. It's my favorite type of BBQ sauce, so score another one for Diego's! While paying over $8 for two sliders seems a bit much, the quality is certainly there. I'd give this one a solid score.

Mediocre burgers at best, breakfast is good but location is closed sometimes when it is supposed to be open. It is a crap shoot if they decide to open for business on any particular day. Not worth the headache in my opinion.

The nicest people ever! They remember who I am & always friendly. The food is amazing & so creative. So many variations of burgers from the regular beef to shrimp, pork, chicken, etc. I think it's pretty affordable. I go there almost daily & am even giving this review as I am getting some food to go haha. Definitely a place to check out :)

I love the idea of this restaurant - almost like a tapas bar, where you can try several different things - but I wasn't thrilled with all of our choices. Favorite burgers were the Denver, Kansas City, and maybe the chicken pesto one whose name escapes me. Salmon burger was alright, buffalo burger was really unexciting and not worth the price for us (my wife and I decided to go halvsies on five burgers to find our favorites for next time). Word to the wise - probably the only burger I thought was great as is was the Kansas City (bbq sauce burger) - the others were a little dry and lacking flavor without some type of sauce added. Luckily, they've got a great selection of sauces next to the ketchup dispensers, so grab a few and find your favorite combos! I loved the spicy brown mustard on both the Denver and the chicken burger. French fries were delicious, perfectly salted shoestrings. I will absolutely try the arepas in the future as well. Quinoa salad was delicious. Make-your-own ice cream sandwich was alright, but I'll probably walk down to Maggie Moo's next time. Very cool selection of CO-based sodas, will also try in the future. We will be back.

The burgers here are ok nothing I would go out of my way because I had to have them. Don't pay extra for the bison I couldn't even tell it apart from the regular. My wife had the Mediterranean pasta and that was amazing. One of my sons had the shrimp burger that was really good too. This place would get 3 or 4 stars from me just for atmosphere and the mac and cheese, which was awesome, but the lady at counter was not helpful at all. This was our first time in and when we asked questions she would simple point at the board. For instance I asked if the burgers were automatically dressed with anything she just pointed at the board. My wife asked for a black coffee so she just pointed at a coffee list. They all had a bunch of different names, so to not waste the lady's time by reading each individual one she asked which is closest to a regular black, the lady once again just points at the list. Seems like it would be a great place to have anytime I'm in that area, but I don't want to pay someone to get treated like an annoyance instead of a customer.

Fresh, yummy, healthy, eclectic, international flavors, relaxing outdoor area to eat, daily specials, excellent coffee...there is more. I love Diego Zhangs. It reminds me of cafe's in California my birth state. I could eat here daily for all three meals and not be bored, stay healthy and enjoy fantastic food. :)Now the only thing they need is delivery services:)

I love this place! Not only are the ' sliders' wonderful, but they have an awesome breakfast. The Shanghai and The Bangkok are my 2 favorite burgers. I know it sounds weird to have a burger made of shrimp, but it is delicious... try it! The breakfast sandwiches are all under $4 and are huge. They use Wolferman's English Muffins and organic eggs scrambled together with other goodies- YUM!! The arepas and coffee are good, too.

I came here with a group looking for one thing only: buffalo burgers and theirs are pretty good! We skipped their typical small sized burgers and went with the larger or what I'd call regularly sized burger. The meat is well season and juicy, although slightly over cooked, but they didn't ask how we wanted it cooked and we didn't specify so that's probably our fault. Lots of self-serve sauce options to choose from!

I have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. Some of the highlights: - The blend of ingredients in the burger. My favorites are the Bangkok and Yellowstone - Great place to bring kids. The kid food item portions are generous (my two kids usually split one entree) and they have books and puzzles for the kids. - Wide variety of non-burger items - the soups and salads are top notch - Desserts - the cookies and homemade pop-tarts are fantastic

I really like the concept of Diego Zhang's... Small burgers (sliders, whatever) packed with unique and bold flavors. They recommend you order three, I say go with two. Whatever. Unfortunately, the execution of their core product underwhelms. I mean, this is pretty much all they serve, you'd think they'd be spot on perfect, right? The buns don't come heated or toasted or anything, just room temperature bread surrounding the patty. No condiments on the burgers (you can always add mustard, ketchup, etc. on your own). No cheese unless requested (and you pay extra). So fundamentally when your order comes out you see these little dry hockey puck-sized burgers with small bun on your plate. And that's it. Like I said, underwhelming. As lunch goes, it's nice to get a flavorful meal that doesn't put you to sleep all afternoon, I just wish Diego Zhang's wasn't so meh.

My first time at Diego Zhang's and I'll definitely be back for seconds. I came because of a LivingSocial deal and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a somewhat upscale burger joint given the fancy shopping center, but Diego's is a casual counter order place which I really enjoyed. You can order soups, sliders, salads, or breakfast fare (which appears to be available all day). Since the burgers are small, you can order 2 or 3 - a good thing, since you'll have a hard time deciding with the large variety of options. They got beef, chicken, lamb, bison, shrimp, and veggie options. I went with the spicy Asian shrimp and the lamb burgers, plus a side order of arepas (breakfast patties made with cornmeal mush, cheese, and peppers). I was very happy with all three items, especially the shrimp slider. I opted for white bread and was pleasant surprised by the high quality of the bun - light and fluffy, didn't overwhelm the sandwich. The manager approached me because there was a technical problem with redeeming my coupon, but he was polite and discretionary about it and gave me the benefit of the doubt even before I'd proven that I wan't trying to pass off a previously redeemed coupon. What could have been an ugly scene in the hands of many an incompetent fast casual manger was instead a positive experience.

After a failed experience at Bar Louie for girls night, we ended up at Diego Zhangs for some pre-movie grub. All I can say is Diego Zhang's ROCKS. 12 women showed up to order burgers, salads and wine and DZ staff was friendly and happy to see us. We all enjoyed our dinners and were pleasantly surprised to be served complimentary cookies from the owner. Now THAT is customer service! From now on, we will always start girls night at Diego Zhangs!

Stopped in today with a friend for the first time. Fantastic food. I ordered the Denver and Kansas CIty. Both pretty tasty (waaaaaay better than the Smokin Joes BBQ across the street) I got two sliders, a side and a drink for $9. I tried their side arepas. It was delish. My friend ordered the fries which were just as good! I will definitely come back again. The idea is great, and the different flavors of "burgers" (some are chicken, shirmp etc) really make me want to come back.

  • Anita S.

Burgers weren't too mini (I should have only ordered 2 as it was enough for me). However, I would love it if they provided a bit more to the burger. Maybe some lettuce, or maybe little plastic indicators of which are which. Unless you ordered something obvious, the flavors don't stand out enough to determine which burger is which. Not to diminish the flavor of the burgers, as the spices were great! Overall, yummy.

  • Mike M.

Was ok. No need to make a special trip but if you're down in the Park Meadows area maybe try it out. Got the veg burger - looked dry and similar to the frozen grocery store ones but tasted alright. Also had the shrimp burger which was ok.

Hard call on three versus four stars. I had to go with three just based on how much "bang for the buck" you get here. I like the new location better than the old one near Peoria. The current location is a nice space, has an attractive interior, and has ample seating. The parking at Southglenn, particularly in this block, can be very tight. The food was a little better than I remembered from a couple years back. The burgers are fairly tasty, and they have some good combinations. Some of the burgers are less than $3, but that is because they are basically slider-sized burgers. If you opt for a buffalo one, expect the cost to be just under $5. I had the Denver (with bacon and mushrooms). It was good, but did not have a lot of flavor to it. The Shanghai chicken burger was a little better, and you could taste some spice. The specialty burger, the Chengdu, had the most flavor. Cheese will run you a buck extra per burger. Since many people will eat 3 burgers, make sure to factor that into your cost. Three burgers, with no cheese and a small fountain drink was around $12. That might be a little steep compared to places where you get a large, good quality burger, with fries, for around $10.

  • Carolyn H.

This is an interesting concept...a bunch of slider sized burgers that are as different as can be. And they mix a lot of the ingredients into the burger as opposed to piling it on top. Which, in my opinion is kind of cool, so that you don't have to worry about dropping all of your toppings of with each bite. They are a bit pricey, considering that you have to order 3-4 of these little sliders in order to compensate for one full sized burger.. We tried the Denver, the San Juan and the Havana (which is a black bean burger and a side of fries (which are not big enough to share). The flavor was...ok...just interesting to me that the only thing that makes a Denver burger a "Denver" is the bacon. They do offer a few varieties of sauces for your burgers which helps the blandness, but I don't really want to pay $16 for a meal and have to doctor it up with mustard and bbq sauce in order to give it some zing.

The best breakfast joint in Southglenn? How can that be with Snooze right around the corner you say.... Fresh, Organic and Healthy for a fraction of the $$! Smothered burritos for $5. Huge Breakfast sandwiches for $4. Great Vegetarian and Gluten free options. The breakfast selection is not vast, but i'd be willing to bet that they would throw something together from the lunch menu. (unique and delicious burgers) The people that work there and the owners are extremely nice and down to earth. Sometimes I will drive by Snooze on my way to Diego Zhang's and see the droves of people standing outside waiting to get in. I so badly want to get out of the car and ask them what the #$@ they are doing waiting for an hour to get breakfast when Diego Zhang's is right around the corner. I've never actually had the balls to do it... I feel like a dick, but i guess i don't really want them to know about this gem. So here it is for all you Snoozers, Diego Zhang's has better breakfast!

Disappointing every time. This place has such possibilities and misses by just a little bit each time. My friends comment was: easy to chew. That is not exactly overwhelming praise. No fries. No fries. No fries. No fries.

warning: When my sibling worked there earlier this year, the money from the "tip jar" was not given to the staff. The management would take it to buy things like toilet paper. So, find out if this has changed before you tip. The food, however, is very good.

Don't waste your money. Seriously. We should have known when we went in and the place was empty at 6 pm on a Saturday. I mean empty. Decor is odd. Felt like they painted the walls, threw in some tables and chairs and called it good. Not remotely like the vibe you get from the outside. The young female cashier /server was unfriendly and not helpful. We were not greeted when we walked to the counter. When we told her it was our first time there, she made no attempt to help us navigate the menu. If you don't ask for it, you won't get it. What I mean is that if you want your meat cooked a certain temperature you had better tell them because they will not ask you. If you ask for more information they will point at the menu board. Completely emotionless and blank faced the whole time we were at the counter. After our food was served no one came to see how it was. Fries came to the table before the burgers. Just soon enough to allow them to get cold before our burgers arrived. The burgers are overpriced and flavorless. I had the Buffalo burger and the crab cake burger. I had asked for the Buffalo medium rare because if overcooked, Buffalo can be very dry. Well given the fact that they blend the ingredients into the patty, what resulted was a mushy mess. Nevermind the fact that whatever was blended in with the Buffalo had absolutely no flavor. I was excited to move on to the crab cake burger. Mushy seems to be their MO. My crab cake burger had the potential to be good, but it too was undercooked and mush. No crispy outside crust that makes a crab cake so delectable. It looked like maybe a quarter teaspoon of sauce was on the bottom bun, but it added no flavor. My husband was not pleased with his burgers either. I left the crab cake burger mostly uneaten. $32 later we feel let down, disappointed and $32 poorer.

It certainly is an interesting place. I like the concept and the unique smaller burgers. They seem to have some really interesting burger combinations, and the small sizes allow you to try more than one if you are so inclined. We mainly tried the pork bbq burgers, and they were good. That being said, something seems to be missing. While the burgers are good, they aren't great. Despite having unique ingredients and flavors, they kind of fall flat. You would expect them be a lot better than other places, but they aren't. The fries are really good though, very fresh.

  • Jessi J.

I am a huge fan of the Kansas City, and the Missouri (I think..?). Whichever is the pulled pork with coleslaw. Yum! I think the portions are perfect, and when I'm feeling extra hungry, they have some great sides. The fries are typical fries, but always hot and delish. I definitely recommend this little joint, and I hope more and more people are open to trying it!

This is a good spot for lunch, a break in shopping or a pre-movie snack. In fact, Southglenn needs more places like Diego Zhang's Burger Cafe. I liked the different selections - including offering more than just fries for sides. I liked the smaller size of the burgers (slider size) - this is the serving size we should be eating. I thought the atmosphere was fine and enjoyed relaxing and chatting with my friend after we finished with our food. Didn't feel rushed to move on and was able to refill my soda. I tried the special burger of the month (salmon burger) and the arepas. My friend also had the buffalo blue cheese burger. All items were good, and we were full and happy. I will be back!

This burger joint is one of my faves. Let's look at why: 1) Something for everyone. I almost always get the thai shrimp burger (the specific name escapes me). Add an extra dollop of garlic chili sauce on it and it's perfect. It's more expensive than the others (about $5 for one) but OMG. So good. The kids I usually go with get a cheeseburger and the mac-n-cheese. THE MAC AND CHEESE. I try to steal a few bites from the kids if I can. TIP: If there are two children, get a large order and an extra bowl. The small is pretty big too. 2) SEE ABOVE. MAC N CHEESE. Made with cavatappi pasta that grabs onto all that cheesiness. 3) A great selection of soups and salads. If I'm trying to be semi-good, I get one burger and share a salad. If I'm pigging out, two burgers and many stolen bites of mac n cheese.

Great breakfast! I have been twice (i wish there were one in Dallas!). I had the burrito the first time, pretty tasty. On my 2nd visit i tried the Santa Fe breakfast sandwich - delicious! It was eggs, green chilies, cheese, and crispy shredded potatoes on a Wolferman's english muffin. Wow! And, it's huge. The muffins and apple tart looked great. The coffee was good (and brewed as ordered). There were two choices for iced tea, both unique and refreshing. Great hot sauce options! The sliders sound good, can't wait to try them next time I'm in town and get to go for lunch.

I was shopping at Southglen and had a coupon for this place...I'd also tried one of their burgers over the summer at an outdoor festival and really liked it...so thought I'd give the brick & mortar establishment a try. The decor and cleanliness of the place is exceptional. Lots of room for small groups or large and lots of room to spread out. I ordered the Urban burger and the genoa. Something familiar and something exotic. Wasn't much impressed by the Urban, which tasted like your basic burger, but the Geneo, made with chicken blended with basil pesto and red peppers was OMG amazing spread with a bit of Shriacha sauce!! Reminded me somehow of my mother's Thai chicken meatballs. Loved it and wished I had bought two of these. I'll def. go back here and try it again with some of the other sliders and see if it can rate a bit higher. But it's nice to have something a bit different in an outdoor mall setting.

There a few things in this world that I appreciate more than a good ol' burger. This location of Diego Zhang's is located in the newly remodeled Southglenn area in Centennial. I immediately loved the location in the cute plaza area and loved the friendly and funky vibe. Their mini burger menu is so diverse I had trouble choosing the direction I was going. I decided on the Centennial burger's (2) and the Kansas City (1) mostly because my heart really does belong to green chile and my husband hails from the latter. These mini burgers were a generous little patty on with perfectly toasted bun. Que Bueno! The menu is playful and diverse. The staff is fun and friendly. Casual and family friendly. Seriously considering going again at this very moment to check out their breakfast menu.

Diego Zhang's is a great concept, and I applaud their attempt to do something different. That said, I thought the food was marginal. We ordered a San Juan, a Genoa, a Kansas City, and a Centennial. While none of the burgers were bad, they were pretty hard to distinguish from one another (with the exception of the Genoa, which is chicken, of course). If Diego Zhang's put condiments like regional vegetables and sauces on their burgers instead of in the patties themselves, the choices would likely seem a lot more diverse and would be more exciting to eat. As it stands now, we felt like we were eating dried out meat on a bun and nothing more.

I've been very impressed with Diego Zhang's since they opened their original Arapahoe Road location. The gourmet mini burgers are the main attraction, but it's their great green chile that gets me in the door. It's just the right consistency and heat level, with a complex flavor profile that most of the joints that specialize in Mexican/New Mexican food can't match. A couple of the other soups I've tried have been pretty decent too. I generally get a mini-burger or two with my chile. The Kansas City is my favorite. It's well-seasoned ground pork, seared hard and slicked with barbecue sauce. i think they must make their own buns, which have a great texture and are available in white or wheat. I also like the Denver, which includes mushrooms, bacon, and onion. The shtick here is that their are no condiments or toppings on the burger, they are blended in with the beef. You can add cheese to the top of certain burgers, but most don't need it. Besides beef and pork, there are burgers made with bison, chicken, shrimp, salmon, or veggies. There are NOT any fries at Diego Zhang's, but I don't think they need them. I don't imagine they even have fryers on the premises, and everything has a vaguely healthy and "green" vibe like ModMarket. They offer bagged chips if your really want something like that, and last time I was in there was a great twice-baked potato which appeared to be a special offering that wasn't part of the regular menu. Their previous location was close to my home on Arapahoe Road, and I was in frequently, but it's not quite as handy now. If it were, I might be able to try it for breakfast. It appears they've added breakfast burritos to the menu, and are smothering them with that great green chile.

Less than impressive. I love the concept but the food is pretty awful. Some of the driest meat I've ever had. The rolls where hard and it was pretty pricey for what you get. Maybe I just went in on a bad day but I'm probably not gonna be back to find out.

I agree with Stafford B., the burger concepts would be amazing if the mix-ins and flavors were toppings, although I understand that the integrated patties could definitely speed up delivery times. I had a Kansas City and the daily special chilled Watermelon soup. I loved the soup, it was sweet and savory and well balanced. The Kansas City (BBQ) burger was okay. Reminded me of a pulled pork sandwich in bun texture and flavor. I just wish something was on it. Just a little caramelized onion or a slice of lettuce? I really like the concept and hope it succeeds. I do, however, feel that for $7 and two dishes, I should be able to walk out feeling full, instead of still hungry.

Really good food. I love the sliders, made from almost any kind of meet. Plus cupcakes, mac'n'cheese, and some foreign options for variety. Soul food with a creative touch. The managers, Dianna and Chris, are always smiling and have new tempations to try!

I was itching for a Diego Zhang's breakfast this morning so I headed out to the location by Centennial Airport only to find them closed. But, I headed west to the new location at Southglenn, which I've tried once before. My breakfast Arepas were two sweet, savory corncakes that were accompanied by a generous side of green chili. The sweetness of the cakes contrasted nicely with the spice and heat of the chili. While I appreciate small plates, I think a satisfying meal would have been a portion of three. I wish Diego Zhang's well in their new location. I think they have a good concept, and I have enjoyed my burgers (and breakfasts) there.

Diego Zhang's burger ARE cute and tasty (I usually get the Denver - beef & bacon w/ sauteed onions and shrooms), but is it too much to ask to want some sort of "side" with the little burgers??? I would be ecstatically happy to have even a lettuce leaf or a pickle slice on the naked (except for the burger) plate. I'm giving DZ only three stars because the parking at "The Streets at Southglenn" is absolutely atrocious. I don't mind walking 1/4 mile to get to a restaurant in the summer, but in the dead-of-winter (and with an 83-year-old mother in tow), the parking situation will keep me from returning anytime soon.

Good luck.

Eh :( I wanted to love Diego Zhang's. I really did. Just-above-slider-sized burgers . . . bison, salmon, beef, chicken . . . the BBQ "Bronco" slider and the salmon slider that I ordered sounded wonderful, but didn't quite live up to my expectations. The roasted potatoes that I had as a side, which were bragged on by the man that took our order, were incredibly bland. Overall, an underwhelming meal. This is a counter service restaurant similar to Toyko Joe's. I went during the late afternoon and had the place almost entirely to myself. The clerk was incredibly friendly but, sadly, customer service doesn't always make up for the experience when everything is lacking. Menu items are a la carte. Four burgers, two sides of potatoes, and two drinks cost just over $28. Neither my mother nor I were impressed (and we SO wanted to be! That's the hardest part.) I doubt I'd return unless a guest was adamant about it. Sorry Diego :(

Best Bang for the buck!! they are known as a burger joint but get there before 11am and get the breakfest. Best breakfest sandwich west of the Mississippi!! My favorite is the Zephyr with Bacon!! I just moved to the Southglenn area and was wandering through when I saw this little spot. The next day I let my curiosity direct me back. I wasn't sure what to expect given the variety of restaurants here, but I do love me a good burger. It's got a "classy" fast food vibe, brightly lit, small tables, menu on the wall, and a counter to place your order. (It reminds me a little of the old Paul's Place restaurants.) They offer sliders as the main draw. I tried the Centennial which is made with buffalo meat, and the special offered which was a blend of ground pork and chorizo, and I threw in a side of fries, because, well, why the hell not? Both were very good, the patties are made with the listed items per burger rolled in instead of as toppings, which makes for a pretty flavorful bite. The buns are light enough that they don't detract from the flavor, and there's a small condiments bar that has a great variety, including a couple of different kinds of chili sauces. The fries were fresh cut, if I'm not mistaken, and very tasty. The menu offers sliders with beef, buffalo, pork, chicken, shrimp, salmon and vegetarian. They don't put toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickle, etc on all of the options, but some, which I found a little odd, but it didn't bother me. I studied the menu while I ate and took note that the other main boast is a variety of breakfast burritos, which intrigues me. You can order a bottle of beer or a glass of wine here, but nothing on tap or particularly fancy, it's obviously not the main focus. They have a small patio on the sidewalk that has some decent shade to it. I enjoyed what I ate, and I'd be interested in sampling some more of the menu, especially the burritos. It's not a sit-down night-out kind of place, but it will certainly satisfy a burger craving if you need a quick fix.

Essentially, this is a trip around the world with burgers in a classy fast food manner. Pros: wide and interesting menu selection (even for me, the vegetarian), variety of wine and beer, and overall- great food Cons: Lackluster ambience Perfect spot for a bite before a movie... will return for the delish shoe string french fries and mini veggie burgers!

The quality of the food at Diego Zhang's is good and creative, but the prices for what you get are ridiculous for a fast food counter establishment. We didn't realize that the burgers were slider size when we ordered (especially when you see the cost) so we had to go back for seconds just to feel like we ate a meal and not an appetizer. The breakfast items looked more reasonable and it might be worth a trip back for that, but I won't be back for the burgers. Sorry!

My bf and i were strolling with our 2 dogs around the southglenn area. (SUPER CUTE! they even have a little grass area park that lights up at night- great date spot). And we were looking for a patio so the dogs could chill with us. Lots of places were busy and the patios were full. We read the menu and thought this would be a chill casual place to grab a bite. the burgers were really good. Not too filling. Its about a 3 oz burger (i think) but really smashed down, so its thin. Super gourmet though. Awesome cheese and great spices on the burger. Whole wheat bun too- bonus!! Our whole meal ( 2 draft beers, 2 burgers and casear salad) was around $20. Not bad and a patio seat : ) Pretty cool place. Weird that the floor is carpeted, but that doesn't effect the service or food. Will go back for sure and highly recommend it.

*Fast healthy food *Tastes good *Prices low but keep going up when you're not looking *Environmentally conscious Need more for vegetarians. The Havana is too spicy for me and it would be nice to have some variety. There's so much that could be done -- tofu, tempeh, seitan, quinoa and pinto bean, gardein. Come on, D. I'm a recent convert to vegitarianism, yet, my wife and I still chose to give Diego Zhang's a shot for dinner. It was such a pleasant surprise and we'll most certainly be back again. We started out with a burger each, only to realize how small they were. THIS IS A GOOD THING. We went back for more, as the sizes (and prices) allow for greater variety and sampling. We had two of the salmon burgers and two of the black bean burgers and they were all great. We can't wait to bring family back for more, and the breakfast looks wonderful as well.

PLEASE come and support this excellent local eatery! Met the owner and here I thought it was a "chain" place. Phenomenal Tomato Basil Soup and the Crab Cake sand which was a unique compliment.

5 star breakfast! Excellent value for breakfast. Perfectly cooked eggs and delicious green chile. English muffin sandwiches are perfect. Huge English muffins with fluffy eggs, cheese and veggies.

Really good food. I love the sliders, made from almost any kind of meet. Plus cupcakes, mac'n'cheese, and some foreign options for variety. Soul food with a creative touch. The managers, Dianna and Chris, are always smiling and have new tempations to try!

warning: When my sibling worked there earlier this year, the money from the "tip jar" was not given to the staff. The management would take it to buy things like toilet paper. So, find out if this has changed before you tip. The food, however, is very good.

Was ok. No need to make a special trip but if you're down in the Park Meadows area maybe try it out. Got the veg burger - looked dry and similar to the frozen grocery store ones but tasted alright. Also had the shrimp burger which was ok.

Excellent service and great coffee just solidify this as a go to spot on the Streets of Southglenn.

Sorry!
