Delicious Chinese, and I've tasted just about all the Chinese places in Brighton. Very good Kung Pao chicken, though I wouldn't mind it a bit spicier. Yeah, the crab cheese wontons are definitely yummy. Very good chow mein too. This is really a take-out place. The tiny dining room is more for waiting for your food than eat-in. Can almost always expect your food to be ready in 15 min. Can be a bit pricey when feeding the whole family, but they have coupons available in just about every Brighton publication. Check the yellow pages.

Suprisingly good for a walk up Chinese place. I wouldn't recommend eating in the place, small and busy. But for cheap Chinese with flavor this is the go to place in Brighton. Try the crab\cheese wontons and sweet donuts, to die for.

I love this place. The food is good, the crew is friendly and the delivery is fast. And you get tons of food for cheap!

This place is great. I've been coming here for the last five years; their service has always been quick and the food tasty. I don't get the typical sesame chicken dishes, but lean more toward vegetable heavy dishes in which the vegetables have been crisp, fresh, and well prepared. Out of all of my experiences here, I have only had one poorly made dish, which in my book, isn't that bad considering how often I eat here. They have great coupons in val-u-ads and other places, however if they are expired at all, they will not honor them. I highly recommend this place as the food and price is of great value!

I'll agree with another post; they do serve the best Chinese food in Brighton. That's not saying much. When I called in I had to repeat myself several times. It wasn't language barrier that was the problem. The young girl answering the phone sits right next to the fryer and blower. I was told to arrive in 15 minutes. I arrive in approx 20 minutes and my order wasn't ready. The young lady asks for my number and then starts rummaging through a bag waiting in the kitchen. Five more minutes later they hand me a bag and thank me for my order. I get half way to my car before one of the cooks comes running out after me telling me that they gave me the wrong order. Another 15 minute wait and I finally have my correct order. The food was good but customer service could use some work.

Ordered two entrées plus soup and the quality was below standard. All the meat was over cooked, tasting like the cooking oil was spoiled and chewy. The hot and sour soup was broth with little vegetables and even less meat. To add insult to injury when we called in to complain there only solution was to say "sorry" an "happy holidays" followed by hanging up. They've lost our business, I will not be recommending their establishment to others and hopefully our experience helps you make your decision when deciding whether or not to order from the great wall.

Perhaps I visited on an "off" night but I had much higher hopes for this joint than what reality delivered. We went in on a Monday night and it was not busy in the dining room. Sadly, My first interaction portended how the rest of my experience would be: I asked what was in the sesame roll. The cashier, and cooks who chimed in when he asked, were only able to show me the frozen package and state that it did not have meat or vegetables, was not dough and not considered a dumpling; however he could not tell me what WAS in it. I gave up on that and ordered sesame chicken. Very crispy, a ton of breading and drenched in sauce, with a few shakes of sesame seeds on top. Meh. My boyfriend got the Dragon & Phoenix , which is general Tso chicken & spicy shrimp. They apparently use the same sauce for the sesame chicken and general Tso. Also, the spicy shrimp seemed to be coated in a mixture of, uh, ketchup and fra diavolo tomato sauce. I was... underwhelmed. Hell - The provided forks were so flimsy they could not stab through the chicken without difficulty. I would not try this place again.

The BEST Chinese food I have ever had! Best in town! My favorite is the Sesame chicken! It is to did for! Service is friendly and quickly. And portions are huge! If you haven't been here yet, try it.

I ordered the sesame chicken (that's my measure of how well the Chinese food place is) and it was SOOOO overcooked and hard, we ended up throwing more then half of it away. The bobo platter was barely edible but also, over fried and over done. Will not be returning.

Love the sesame chicken! Crab cheese wontons are delicious! Located next to Safeway. Quick service. Use the website to help you order. Full menu is on there and there is a little notepad feature to help you remember what you wanted when you call it in.

Got the orange chicken. Good, but not superb. Definitely getting your money's worth though! They give you a good sized portion! Food takes about 10 minutes to cook, so call ahead of time if you are carrying out and don't want to wait.

Super yummy food & ok pricing. We had lomein, general taos chx and a mixed meat dish, everything was great except for the hot and sour soup - tasted like fish water. Everyone who came in ordered the Cheese won-tons so we will have to try those next time.

I love the shrimp egg foo young, sweet and sour pork/chicken, sesame beef and the cheese wontons. I read the reviews before trying the wontons and the reviewers were right. I am not crazy about the egg rolls or the gravy for the egg foo young. The gravy comes on the side. I love that the sweet and sour pork and chicken doesn't have the thick fatty batter that most restaurants have so that was a big plus in my book. Customer service is outstanding. I like the fact that I can watch them cook my food while I wait and it's always hot and fresh.

This tiny family owned Chinese restaurant is as good as it gets for an american/chinese cuisine, being used to the european style Chinese and indonesian food I was surprised to (through our daughter mrs. Tari) how good the food is. And very cheap as well.

I love this hole in the wall Chinese place. It has amazing sweet and sour and lo mein. I really am pleased to find a good restaurant in Brighton. When first moving here we went to this railroad historical place, which was horrible. So I was really happy to find this take out place. They run coupons in the local mailers. I would recommend checking it out!

Ordered my meal over the phone (thankful for a menu on their website) and they had it ready to go by the time I picked it up. Awesome! Also, used a coupon to get free crab cheese wontons with my $15+ order. HOLLA! The "dining" area had about 4 tables, but I can mostly see this place as a pickup place. But there was still people dining. The food was delicious. I have been trying to find a good Chinese place since my previous one was demolished and turned into a Walmart. I might have to try it again to make sure that is might be the place. Ordered: 1pt wonton soup, 1 combination sesame chicken (chicken, rice, egg-roll), 1 combo beef and broccoli + Free Wontons= $17.21.

Great Wall is a little joint in the Safeway shopping center, next to the liquor store, and is a truly outstanding, East Coast style take-out place. There is a small dining area, but you really don't wanna do that, as you'll be freezing your keester off in the winter from the constant parade of people coming in an' out to get their take-out. But that's not why you came to Great Wall in the first place, nosiree. You came here to get a big dish of General Tso's chicken, yeah, spicy-crispy-sweet, like CANDY FROM THE GODS. Candy. From the Gods. Egg Foo Yung. I dunno who this Foo Yung guy was, but he invented a truly yummy egg dish which Great Wall does to perfection, and they give you enough to have for breakfast the next day, maybe even lunch. Fried Dumplings. Me likee so much. Dip, chomp, slurp. Anyway, if you live here in beautiful Brighton, you should know that we are truly blessed to have such a killer Chinese take-out shop. Call 'em up and get some General Tso's. Do it. You know you wanna.

I am pretty sure this is actually refering to "The Great Wall" Chinese which is in the strip mall off of 19th by the Safeway and the subway...if not, then this place gets a free three star review! Anyways, it was great for just quick, zip in, zip out Chinese food. Although since it was right next to my apartments, I could not complain. The Crab Rangoon's were oooo so good though, this place defiantly has some of the best that I ever did have. The hott and sour soup also is very good. Its a fun place also if you want to watch the owner yell at his chef in Chinese:). A quick, stop and eat sorta place.

Best crab cheese wonton's ever! I'm not a big fan of everything else but I have had much worse. But OMG CRAB CHEESE WONTONS! Oh the egg rolls are good too!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
