I have never had popeyes before and I think my boyfriend just wanted to torment me by taking me here. We came in and they were slammed, I figured this would be a good idea. . not even. I ordered just mashed potatoes ( without the gravy) and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice were absolutely freezing cold. Gross . and the mashed potatoes had a weird consistency . I don't exactly know how to explain it ,I've never experienced potatoes that way before. My boyfriend ordered shrimp and chicken with potatoes and the cajun gravy. His popcorn shrimp were absolutely disgusting, they looked like they were in the bottom of the frier for 5 hours and they just scraped them up . My boyfriends chicken was actually kinda outstanding ( that's why they get a 2 star rating) It had a really good flavor, was thoroughly cooked and still hot while he was eating it. I had a bite and I was impressed.. I would consider going back to get some more chicken, but only on a rare occasion .

I made sure to check it before I left this time around. When I went inside to get the correct order, I saw a handful of people all waiting for food. NOT ONE person was sitting down eating. The manager asked me 3 times what side I wanted. To his credit though, he was the only one hustling to push out orders; while 3 other slow nitwits took their sweet time. I am a kitchen manager at an elementary school and we serve over 200 kids within 90 mins. There's only 2 of us; so it really bothered me when I saw these employees working so slowly. To say the least, I will not be returning to this Popeyes. Such a shame.

Nostalgia, mixed with Sweet Tea, awesome Biscuits, and amazingly grease-free Fried Chicken. And Mashed Potatoes (with Cajun Gravy), Cole Slaw, Mac 'n Cheese, Red Beans and Rice.... Even Fruit Punch. Yet another guilty pleasure of mine, and another one that I am THRILLED is not convenient to where I live. Because that would be tragic to my waistline.

07/26/14 Customer service was fantastic. Food was great. Upgraded to a fourth star. Much better than last two visits. Seems management has seen fit to upgrade the staff. They seemed all very competent. I am glad that they stepped up and got this location back on track. Will continue to visit this store.

It was your average greasy fried chicken. We got half mild half spicy, and I much preferred the spicy recipe. My 6 year old really liked the mac and cheese. My boyfriend loves the biscuits, which he covers in honey. The food, was alright. It definitely wasn't awful, but I was just wanting something better I suppose. Their large sized sides are pretty small. My only real true complaint though is that the person taking our order made us wait for a really long time before she took our order, and they weren't very busy, so I was a bit confused by that. They may have been extremely understaffed. And then I was confused because on their menu it said you could get a 10 piece, 2 large sides and 5 biscuits for 21.99, but when we tried to order that, she was like NO! Well she didn't tell us no, but she said they had an 11 piece with 2 large sides and 5 biscuits for 22.99. This was nowhere to be found on the menu, but we were like...okay I guess we will pay a dollar more for one more piece of chicken? I'd go back, because some times I really need to stuff my face with fried chicken, and it was better than KFC.

You know the old joke, "You know you're in the 'hood when there's a Popeye's Chicken?" Well don't let that old saying scare you away. The neighborhood may be sketchy but the chicken is 100% Southern Comfort. I'd resisted trying them for decades based on that old stigma, yet I kept hearing raves about their chicken so I finally succumbed and boy am I glad that I did. Popeye's beats KFC hands down. Their breaded chicken isn't greasy and the meat is juicy and not fatty at all. The mashed potatoes are creamy and the buttermilk biscuits are sensational. We got the chicken tenders and sandwiched them on the biscuits and they were absolutely amazing. Popeye may have his spinach but I'll have the chicken anytime. I'm definitely a fan.

And then I was confused because on their menu it said you could get a 10 piece, 2 large sides and 5 biscuits for 21.99, but when we tried to order that, she was like NO! Well she didn't tell us no, but she said they had an 11 piece with 2 large sides and 5 biscuits for 22.99. This was nowhere to be found on the menu, but we were like...okay I guess we will pay a dollar more for one more piece of chicken? I'd go back, because some times I really need to stuff my face with fried chicken, and it was better than KFC.

You know the old joke, "You know you're in the 'hood when there's a Popeye's Chicken?" Well don't let that old saying scare you away. The neighborhood may be sketchy but the chicken is 100% Southern Comfort. I'd resisted trying them for decades based on that old stigma, yet I kept hearing raves about their chicken so I finally succumbed and boy am I glad that I did. Popeye's beats KFC hands down. Their breaded chicken isn't greasy and the meat is juicy and not fatty at all. The mashed potatoes are creamy and the buttermilk biscuits are sensational. We got the chicken tenders and sandwiched them on the biscuits and they were absolutely amazing. Popeye may have his spinach but I'll have the chicken anytime. I'm definitely a fan.
