Upgraded to 4 stars! Finally, it seems the kitchen has figured out the right cooking temps for their burgers. I ordered my Larkburger medium and the sign on the wall says "Medium = Pink Throughout". I was happy to find lots of pink when I bit into the burger. No char, nothing dried out, just a flavorful, savory burger. I think I'm officially digging this burger now ... the only thing I might change is to cut down on the saltiness of it as a whole. Not sure if it's salt in the burger or salt in the Larkburger sauce.... but I still devoured every crumb as if I wasn't going to eat again.

It is so hard to get a good medium cooked burger. These guys nailed it! Perfect medium burger. Kayla was very helpful and ensured my burger was made to order.

So I had the Lark burger the truffle fries let me tell you there is absolutely nothing special about these menu items. In fact I would say I'd prefer a McDonald's double cheeseburger to the lark burger if that says anything. The meat tastes bland almost as if it was steamed. The patties must be preprepared and salted as they're soggy and flavorless. The buns are good in the toppings are okay. The truffle fries honestly were a bit greasy. I don't think I'll be back.

I ate here for the first time the other day. Now, thoughts of the mouthwatering hamburger I ate consume me. It's literally been keeping me from doing work (so instead I'm writing a review). The fries here are pretty darn delicious too. Aioli or regular, both a great! Besides the delicious food, the restaurant is probably the nicest, cleanest, and greenest fast food restaurant I have ever been to. Besides being a little pricey (about $10 for a burger and fries), it is worth the effort if you are looking for a fast and scrumptious burger. Your stomach will thank you.

Now I know why they call it "Lark" Burger... What a joke. Waited 45 minutes and no food. Argued with manager just to get our money back. This was my first and LAST experience. Go to Smash Burger instead. DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. EVER!

Absolutely the best chicken burger anywhere... ever! Also a surprising twist is the portabella mushroom burger, give it a try and you won't regret it! And the tuna burger is one of my favs when I'm willing to spend the extra money. I hear people saying the regular burger is as good as anywhere else... So get off the beef and try new things.

The burger was okay, once I took it back and had them fix me a new one that was cooked to the right temperature. I didn't appreciate that they tried to explain to me that it WAS cooked properly. They should just fix a new one and apologize. But that's about employees, not the restaurant. The problem with the restaurant is, regarding the temperature of my rare burger, "our medium is medium rare". What? Medium is medium. Medium rare is medium rare. Everyone on the world knows that. Even so, the burger was undercooked by their own standard.

This place tasted pretty good for the most part. I honestly think that it's a little overpriced for what it is though. The burger is a solid burger cooked to order. The truffle fries are a little to little for being served up at $3 a pop. The vanilla shake was quality though. Atmosphere is a little smoky inside, but not unbearable. Good overall, but it didn't sit very well afterwards (and I have an IRON GUT), so not sure if I'll be heading back here or not anymore for fear of what had to have gone wrong to make that happen.

I love that they have gluten free buns. Their burgers are great. I usually like the fries but at this location they were WAY over-salted. I felt like I was downing a bottle of salt. Maybe it was just whoever was working that day-- Ill definitely give it another shot. **Update: Started ordering fries without salt, much better! I find that the employees put more salt than I like, so ordering without allows me to add as little or as much as I want. Still not as good as In-N-Out's fries, but this place is the best burger joint in Colorado.

So delicious...I had the turkey burger with truffle aioli and cheese, along a heaping order of shoestring truffle fries. I also like the self-service beverage choices of ice tea...pomegranate green tea, or my fave- Fuze raspberry iced tea. Though the only interaction with employees is ordering at the counter and when they deliver your food to the table, they were so friendly...even making suggestions while ordering. I liked the "green" style that the decor is done- clean counters and tables, and tv screens with the menu also add to the sleek minimalist look.

I simply love that they have half burgers...some people might call them sliders, but I call them a perfect portion of good badness! Lovely turkey burger! And the truffle fries...decadent!

Based on my first and only experience with Larkburger to date, I'm being generous by granting it 2-Stars. However, based on what I feel this particular Larkburger can be, I may be under-rating it just a bit. I went to the Arvada location on it's fourth day of doing business and found that there was way too much evidence that they were newly opened and little of it was pretty. For example, the (new) employees didn't know what to do with themselves. They followed each other around hoping they would find what they should be doing. Our burgers took a while to come out from the kitchen (which was no surprise as when I looked into the grill area I saw (literally) 8 guys all standing around talking to each other, laughing). A single food runner was bringing out one item at a time to various tables (which confused me), and when he brought our four burgers we found that "medium well" translates to "medium" and "medium" translates to "RAW!". My wife and her Dad like there burgers quite red, but even this was "way too raw" for them. In fact, as I cleared our table and walked to the door, I glanced at every burger being eaten - and each and every one was blood red inside. Coincidence? I'll let you decide. In the meantime, I'm going to stick to Smash Burger for quite a while until these guys get the stuff in order. PS: My son told me his white milk "tasted funny"...and it did.

I'm new to Yelp! Just ate here last week after a yoga class across the street and I loved my tuna burger and truffle fries. The line was long when I walked in, but I was back out with my food in less than ten mins. I will be back :)

I love being able to go to a place and get a gluten-free bun for my hamburger with all the fixings. Although their french fries aren't necessarily that great I believe that the food there is awesome. I would highly recommend this place to all my fellow gluten-free people out there.

  • Erin T.

I freaken love this place! The best burgers ever, the best truffle fries ever, the best milkshakes ever AND composting??? No freaken way! This is by far my most favorite burger joint (if you haven't noticed), way better than In-N-Out (yes, I did say that).

Service was awesome, however the food was nothing special. Too expensive for what it is IMHO.

While driving through Arvada we saw Larkburger, and after making a slightly illegal turn I got to show my wife what Larkburger is all about. I'd never eaten at this particular location, only the one in Boulder and wanted to see if the hold up to the same. The food is exceptional, and while it is not the cheapest burger, it is delicious in every way. My wife did the chicken sandwich, which I have never had everything tasted just like it was cook perfectly from a backyard barbeque. The fries we're hand cut and covered in truffle oil. I don't make it to the one in boulder which I work near nearly as much as I'd like to do the popularity and the line, This location seem to be much less crowded and for those of you in the area I highly suggest checking This place out

I'm definitely a fan of lark burger, smash burger still takes the cake for me though..

  • Adam G.

The food is outstanding and the staff are great! I got a pretty good feeling about the place in general and I will consider going back. Unfortunately the portion sizes with the prices are insulting and a little too high. Good food, good people, but undersized portions at an overpriced casual dining atmosphere.

Fantastic burger I cant believe I have only been here once and it's a mile from my house I just gave me a vegan vibe I guess. Anyway the burger was excellent the truffle fries were amazing. It's just not a very welcoming vibe in there but that's ok I can always get it to go!!!

  • Steve R.

This time I arrived at first open - literally the first customer in the door - I think the ticket # was like 0001 or something. Anyway, much better service. The burger was decent but the fry portion is too huge and greasy for one person. I'll stop by when I am in the area but this is no longer a must visit, out of the way kind of stop. Next.

  • Demitri R.

YUM YUM YUM. The burger could of been a little bigger. But it was tasty. Opted for the Garlic fries and it was the perfect portion. They have a special sauce on the burger which is sweet but not to sweet. The shakes seem a little pricey but are probably good. I didnt opt for that. Indoor and Outdoor seating. And the place is good for the environment. Big on recycling. And they have a vegetarian option as well on the menu.

I came in to Larkburger with no expectation, never read a review, and I'm very upset with myself for waiting this long. Being my first time there I had to try the best (in my view)...the Truffle Burger with a side of fries. Oh man...that burger was amazing...perfectly cooked, juicy and the key...NOT greasy as many burger joints will serve you, which to me speaks to the quality of the beef they use (all natural angus). And the truffle sauce on the burger...amazing!!! You have to try this one if it's your first time. The fries were perfectly cooked and crispy, real not frozen potatoes you can tell. Overall, this is my new go-to burger joint and I can't wait to go back and try the chicken or the tuna.

  • Kimberly F.

I am a complete burger snob so I rate harshly and my expectations are high. I enjoyed my Larkburger and the fact that they operate eco-friendly and use all-natural ingredients. I truly wish I would've ordered a shake but my conscious kicked in since we just left the dentist. The fries are those skinny little shoestring style fries and are pretty delicious. For being a fast-food style restaurant, I would easily choose this place over the mega fast-food burger chains. So that's why they get four stars and not three. My only criticism against Larkburger would have to be that during my previous visit I ordered my burger to be cooked medium and it was rare. Not medium rare...rare. So I kind of learned today and ordered it medium well (which I absolutely never do) and it turned out alright. The burger was good but not as much pink as I'm used to. Oh well...I'll have to find that happy medium.

    (4)
  • Joel T.

The burger was cooked exactly how I ordered it, but was just okay in taste. The truffle fries were quite ordinary as well, not a ton of truffle or cheese flavor coming through. A step up from normal fast food offerings, but I am in no rush to return.

  • Roman M.

Nothing really special or stand out about this place. It was not bad food, just overpriced. If I am going to pay that much for a burger it better be really good and sad to say it was not. I LOVE burger joints just felt like I overpaid and was unsatified.

My wife & I Have been five or six times in the last 2 months, love the place. Great burgers & selection of fries, great service, nice clean restaurant, some outdoor seating. I also like supporting Larkburger as they display info about ingredients, and are into sustainable practices which they list in their restaurant.

Wanted to be the first reviewer, but honestly I was too lazy to type in all the address info. I take advantage of all the freebies I can find, so when we got a coupon for two free burgers, I was all over it! Even if it meant driving 6 miles out of our way throughh construction traffic.... It's FREE ya know! So we get there and the restaurant is full of people, but it's not open to the public yet, but the are filled with people eating burgers and $5 shakes for a private soft opening event. Really? My coupon didn't specify an opening date! My dramatics and slight silliness gained me entry and 2 free MEALS (no one was paying that night, it was practice for the staff) and now I'm slammin' them with a less than stellar review.... Nice clean presentation in their plain brown wrappers and little(big) burger boxes, but they didn't label which burger had no onions....imagine the frenzied chaos if I had a large party and ordered 7 different burgers! The skinny fries with truffles and parmasan were truly delish! I didn't exactly tell my hubby that my fries were different from his plain one--I wanted to compare, and he hardly noticed the parsley decorating mine. My very beautiful burger, all dressed in a bright red tomato slice, rings of onion, and leafy green lettuce, peaking out from the golden brown bun, was WAY too salty. Even my lemonade, which was perfect, couldn't quench me. I couldn't finish my burger, it was THAT SALTY! Husband complained of saltiness too, so it wasn't just me. The two points goes to the truffle fries, lemonade, and recycling/ composting counter. A third goes to presentation, but that gets washed away by the salt. Two burgers, two fries, and one small lemonade, and one huge scoop of salt apparently, was just under $23 (free). And I still have that coupon....that I probably won't use.

I just had the seared tuna burger here and it was absolutely fabulous. Tuna was cooked perfectly (seared outside rare inside). For only $7.50 it was a great deal for such a nice tuna steak sandwich. I got take-out and despite being packed with a line, my order came out quick. Deeelish.

Man, this is my third time to a Larkburger location and I haven't found anything not to like. I had the classic hamburger and the truffle aioli sauce is legit. love the fries as well. I really like this location because parking is plentiful and easy and the restaurant is large and not crowded.

In the same category as SmashBurger, Lark Burger is a fast-casual restaurant where you order at a counter and have food delivered to your table. The menu is incredibly promising: seared tuna with wasabi aoli, a portabella burger, and even truffle fries. Curiously absent is any kind of buffalo burger. Also curious is the Lark cooking preference system. You can order your burger anywhere from rare to well-done, using the following system: Well done: Thoroughly cooked, no pink. Medium-well: Thoroughly cooked, no pink. Medium: Thoroughly cooked, no pink. Medium-rare: Thoroughly cooked, no pink. Rare: Thoroughly cooked, no pink. For example, I ordered a tuna burger, seared rare. It was charred on the outside and thoroughly cooked throughout, making it both bacteria and taste-free. My girlfriend ordered a burger, medium, which was also thoroughly cooked. The sauces and overall quality of the food, however, was quite good. The fries were very tasty, but too thin, and a bit on the soggy side. Larkburger could really be so much more. Just a few minor upgrades to the menu, a better beer selection, and an option to have your burger cooked like you order it would improve it a lot.

We go here about once a week and here is what I love about it. Tuna burger perfection, everything is always cooked perfectly on all burgers, clean and super friendly staff, great spot to bring kiddos especially on Monday nights, love all the Eco friendly packaging, online ordering, super salads and sides. Also everything always tastes and looks fresh. Pricey, maybe but to me this is a place you get what you pay for, that's hard to come by in the burbs.

I came to try this place out to see if it was better than my usual Smash Burger, The truffle burger was yummy but the fries were not good, even on Smash Burger's worst day their fries are better. Larkburger fries tasted like old fries, not crunchy at all, the parsley and parm didn't give them much flavor. While the burger was great it was not worth going to instead of Smash Burger, it cost $5 more than we would have paid for a family of 3 and I would rather have both a good burger and good fries than just one of the 2

First visit ever to a Larkburger. Glad it's in the area. The gentleman taking orders was very pleasant- appreciated that! The food took a long time to come to our table- our only complaint. However, it was worth the wait. The burgers are juicy and Delicious! We got 1 order of regular fries, also delicious and plenty to split. I will try the half burger next time and the regular size is huge! Very clean, modern restaurant.

Tried Larkburger for the first time today and can only give a mixed review. My husband went to get it take out for us and ordered the chicken burger and truffle burger, plus some of the truffle parmesan fries. While everything tasted great the only thing right about what we received was the fries. Pretty sure I just got a regular Larkburger for both our orders. Tasted great but disappointing we didn't get what we ordered (especially when what we ordered and paid for was more expensive!).

the chicken sandwich was great. the food was tasty the burgers are good. the fries are ok.

  • Rachel B.

Overall, I think the Boulder location does a better job on food prep, but as a franchise - I LOVE Larkburger. I always get the tuna burger with truffle fries - and, for a lunch that comes in around $10 - it doesn't disappoint. The sandwich has a delectable wasabi aioli sauce that is to die for - and the fries are sinfully good. Be sure to get the tuna seared medium RARE though - as it tends to come out a wee bit overcooked.

I was really happy with my experience! The food and the atmosphere exceeded my expectations. I had the chicken burger and edamame and they were delicious. I loved the salted edamame! My husband really enjyed his larkburger and parm fries! The restaurant was very clean. Unlike most places we go, each open table was clean and ready for new customers! I really appreciated that! Thanks, again, Larkburger! We'll be back!

It was a good burger, but its not something I can't find anywhere else. The seasoning was good, flavor was okay, but it was pretty greasy. Overall just an average burger. And the wait time for it was also pretty slow. The fries are pretty awesome here though so that kind of made up for it.

    (3)
  • Click S.

These hamburgers are awesome. The fries aren't great but as truffle fries, they're over the top. Edamame is a good substitute. I feel they cook the burgers a little pinker than I'm thinking... I choose medium well, to ensure its decently cooked.

  • Remi R.

So.. I've eaten 3-4 Larkburgers. All of which where the basic Larkburger with cheese. The food... The burger was thick and the bun looked like a higher quality bun. However the burger quality was poor with a number of fatty pieces. As far as the taste...well there was none. Very strange, I could taste the bun slightly, but overall there was no flavor. As far as the fries.. the shoe string novelty wears off after the 2 or 3 time. They're really not that tasty and a pain to eat because you get all these little bits at the bottom. Forgot about dipping them ketchup. The presentation... Burger is nicely packaged and the fries are properly browned. The staff Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. Nice place, nice staff, but overall only skin deep.. Short on taste.

A great burger and fries! Food is excellent, I love the traditional Larkburger with bacon and tuna burger and my family loves the turkey burger and edamame- the fries and parm fries are some of the best around! The restaurant and large patio is always spotless and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Simple but delicious.

Ate here today for the first time. What I liked about the burgers here is that they are very "natural". It's really a no fuss burger, the burger patty is not going to be flavored a whole lot, they seem to just let the meat speak for itself. And it does. It seems they use a high quality beef and the thing I noticed the most about it is that it tastes clean. The burgers and fries are not greasy at all, which is a nice change from some of the other burger places I frequent. Sometimes I leave a burger joint and it feels like there is a brick in my stomach, but not here. All in all, if you want a burger that is a bit more "light" and "healthy" this is probably the place to get it.

    (4)
  • Taylor V.

I really liked this place the first couple of times I went. The last two have been decent, but nothing to get too excited about. I do recommend the truffle burger and truffle fries. I like the "green" approach the company is taking, so that earns them some points in my book, and they do use high quality beef and buns.

  • Lindsey P.

Pretty good burger and french fries. My only complaint is the slice of tomato, which was very unripe, and included the hard bit that you don't eat. They should have caught this! I had to remove it, and couldn't eat anything around it because it was too hard. Anyway, other than that, this was a pretty good burger. I liked the thin french fries. I have tasted the best of all burgers (in Austin), and Larkburger could totally get better sauces to make it awesome. This is prob the best burger in the area. I didn't experience a long wait time, I guess it depends what time you go.

    (4)
  • Debbie H.

I really like the Larkburgers....although I kinda feel like i may find feathers inbetween the lettuce and tomato!! Perhaps they are great burgers, perhaps it's the triffle mayo, perhaps it is I feel good eating the non-sustainable cow in a sustainable environment. I like it and I will go to the one on 104 and Washington when it's open.

So this being my first visit to Larkburger. I wasn't quite sure what I should be ordering. So loving a good Burger I went with the Larkburger cooked rare and an order of parmesan fries. The Burger was cooked perfect, while the fries where a bit 2 salty for my taste infact after eating an hour ago I still feel as if I've licked a salt lick. But that aside will definitely have another Burger. I also like the fact that every thing is environmentally friendly in the restaurant from walls to the electricity, pretty cool.

Amazing! Great service! Always a pleasure seeing Erin when she is working. Food is wonderful. Fresh, clean, well prepared food each and every time. Service has always been good. Manager consistently making sure the customers are satisfied. No more fast food burgers for this family! Larkburger is hands down the best burger in town.

I visited the Westminster location 4:45 on 4/29/13. I'll just say that the staff was awesome, friendly, helpful and the place was spotlessly clean. My burger was perfect! It's so nice to find a place that really cares.

  • Dawn H.

The burgers here are ok....but the real winner is the Tuna Burger cooked rare. So tasty and it is one of the healthier choices. I like the fries as well. I really wish they would post nutritional facts on their website. We all know going here is not going to be a healthy visit, but it would be nice to know how to plan the rest of my day or week around this meal.

A couple of things stand out about this Larkburger location. First, the food is of pretty good quality, and you are paying for that. But portion sizes are small and the ambiance is minimal in this location. Part of dining out is in the experience, and Larkburger's cafeteria style dining hall is really quite dull. It's okay, the food is of good quality, but I wouldn't hurry back.

Great burger; and nice that they have turkey and veggie burgers for those who don't eat beef. Would love to try the milkshake but too many calories for one meal; fries excellen. Interior simple and gives off a comfortable flare; also have outside seating. Good service. Definitely will go back; and will try the 1/2 burger next time.

Great food but I have no idea why they even have a phone number, it is never answered. Makes it tough to place a pick up order or go there for lunch on a limited schedule. I have mentioned this to employees but still no answer on the phone as recently as 30 seconds ago.

  • Henry C.

Just picked up two hamburgers and brought them home. One is O.K. The other one had so much sauce on it the bun was soaked and when you tried to eat it it fell all apart. I doubt they will see me again

The first time I ever took a bite of a Larkburger, was the first time I seen a glimpse of heaven. Never before have I tasted such freshness and quality of ingredients, and believe me when I say, I have searched high and low for a hamburger of this calibre. And lest I forget the fries, OMG, they are perfect. As are the shakes. Come to think of it, I can't find a bad thing to say, even their staff is outstanding!!

  • Vinnie A.

I really like this place. Here's why: 1) You can order the burger cooked to your preference. I love getting my burgers medium rare, but there are so few restaurants that will actually cook them to this specification. 2) You can get the burgers gluten free. And, I don't mean Red Robin's or Chili's version of gluten free where they pile on lettuce (although that option is available). No, they actually offer a gluten free bun. My wife is sensitive to gluten and this is the first place I have ever seen to offer an actual bun that she can eat. 3) They have a green, environment friendly aesthetic that I find appealing. 4) The food is incredibly tasty. The burger itself is overflowing with simplicity. I didn't detect any filler in the meat, and the patty itself is topped with basic ingredients. Don't go to Larkburger expecting to get a blue cheese bacon burger with 8 varieties of mayo and ketchup. Rather, go to Larkburger if you are craving whole ingredients and the simplicity of a mouthwatering burger.

The Arvada location recently opened and the kids and I decided to try it out -- excited they have turkey and tuna burgers -- there were a lot of employees, all seeming to fall over one another, and the dinners were much more greasy than I had expected. My son ordered his burger medium well and it was charred through and through - we got take out so too late to do anything about it, but he didn't eat it. A friend's order was all ordered "well done" and they were all red inside. The truffle fries were greasy but very good. We'll give it another whirl but will wait a few months before trying it again, in hopes that it was just newly-opening-blues we experienced and not their regular mo.

  • Amy C.

The food was very good but their prices are a little high for me. This will be a place I come once in a while. My husband has been craving a tuna sandwich ever since Chili's took theirs off the menu, glad we have a place to come when he really wants one.

Nice atmosphere. The truffle burger was good but nothing extraordinary. Truffle fries were pretty fantastic but it's not a place that I'll find myself craving.

  • Samantha S.

I really, really liked this place. I didn't even realized it existed until just a few short months ago. Burgers ( Nice and big) that you tell them how you want it done ( just well done please) and the fries, are the best. I got the truffle parmesan fries, and they were some of the better fries I have tasted. I have also gotten their chicken sandwich, which I really enjoyed as well. Not your average burger joint, so not your average prices... still something good to have one in a while when you want to splurge....

    (4)
  • Amanda M.

Ehh... I want to like this place (close to my house, gluten-free options, FRENCH FRIES), but it's really only okay. The burgers are alright, the fries are just okay, and the prices are out of control, for what it is.

First off, every time I walk into a Lark Burger, the place looks clean, organized, and inviting. A place where you could bring a business partner and be professional while enjoying a nice succulent burger served on reclaimed wooden trays and compostable utensils and boxes. You can't go wrong with any menu item (really depends on how baller you're feeling). I usually get the Larkburger or truffle burger with regular fries. If you could ignored how much more in debt you are after swiping that credit card, this would be the best and most flavorful burger your tastebuds could ever set tongue on. But these days, "organic" and "natural" comes at price. Moving on to the burger's best side-kick, Mr. Fries. At Lark Burger, they're almost as as skinny as pasta. If I could eat without etiquette and remove my sense of public shame, I would just grab that entire box of fries and dump it in my mouth like WM on Mondays. It tastes really good, but for how tiny they are, I'd need to continually stuff my face until I'm satisfied. It's like eating mini-potato chips (do you know why they haven't made those yet? My point exactly.) Overall, If you got some cash burning in your pocket and you've never tried a Lark Burger, I'd highly recommend it.

First time trying this spot with my husband. We both ordered the Chicken Burger with the truffle fries. I ordered To Go. Service was ridiculously fast! It made me think it was fast food but it isn't... It was just that fast which I really appreciated. The food was amazing. It was all very good and my husband enjoyed it as much as I did as well. The only downside is the price. The burger wasn't that large to be as expensive as it was. We spent $26 for the 2 burgers and 2 fries, no drinks. Yes it was delicious... But for cheaper we can go to Red Robin and have more food with drinks included. We will definitely come back again but not very often because it's just too pricey.... But everyone should try it at least once.

Truffle Burger with Bacon. I don't think I need to say anything else. The only downside is the wait sometimes, but then I unwrap my perfectly medium cooked burger, take that first bite and think the wait was most definitely worth it.

The chicken burger is the best chicken burger I have ever had. However, I am of the opinion that just about anything with cilantro tastes a billions times better than without. The handful of times I have been here, the service has always been friendly and welcoming. The truffle fries are pretty good, if not a little soggy. If Larkburger could just copy Illegal Burger's truffle fries, I would give it 5 stars. The rest of my family have gotten hamburgers and cheeseburgers here. They don't seem as impressed as me, so maybe they have just mastered the chicken burger. Either way, I will return as often as my pants and wallet will let me.

Great burger! Burger was cooked to perfection, the fries are amazing and the staff was very kind. I can't wait to return!

I really liked the Amy Burger. It was better than most meatless burgers. I like the clean modern feel of the place. It almost breaks out of the obvious fast food model.

This place is delicious! I ordered a truffle burger and a few other lark burgers and all were amazing! The sauce used on all burgers was delicious. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection. I ordered a 'happy hour' shake but was a little early for the happy hour and the manager or something gave it to me anyways! Amazing service and wonderful food. Only problem was the fries weren't as great as the burgers but otherwise worth every penny! Wish I lived closer to one of these

I like Larkburger. it's a nice little burger joint and I really like the truffle burger. The people who work there are nice and I've always gotten my food quickly. I like their fries, they are skinny and seasoned well and always seem to be crispy which I love in a fry I HATE soggy and limp fries and so these guys don't deliver crap fries they are good if you ask me. I would pick Cherry Cricket over this place but I think its' at least as good as smashburger.

I must have misplaced my ticket to board the Larkburger train... Overall, I thought this place was really pricey! For three burgers, two french fries, 3 fountain drinks, and a teeny tiny order of edamame, it set us back over $40! That is ridiculous! I ordered my burger medium which is supposed to be pink throughout. It was definitely more red than anything and there were a couple of spots that were cold. It freaked me out, but I didn't want to make a scene. The flavors were good. The french fries are weird. They are super thin and most of mine were too brown for my liking. I didn't hate my food here, but I don't think I would come back.

Much better than my visit to the Boulder store. In fact, every visit to Larkburger since my visit to the Boulder store has been better than the last. In general, I still think their prices are a little steep, but considering the quality of all of the ingredients, I can overlook that for a visit every now and then. On my most recent visit I had the Denver Burger Battle Burger. Apparently this burger won the battle in 2012, and I totally see why. Their standard 1/3 lb patty topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion plus truffle aioli. It's a slightly sloppy, but oh so good. I paired that with a cup of Chili. The chiili is not as rich as I would like, instead it is a little watery. But they serve it with tortilla chips, cheese, and a dollop of crema. It's a nice side to their burgers. I really like the fact that they serve chili. Smashburger once had chili and it was awesome, so obviously they discontinued it. Bummer.

******FIVE STAR REVIEW***** Counter service brilliance! My first visit to any Larkburger produced an Effing amazing burger cooked perfectly. **Pro Tip= Parmesan Truffle Fries are well worth the extra buck and they are certainly enough to share. Clean Euro-styled decor. Very friendly staff. Fast service. I'm Impressed. Someone please tell me how could I have missed out on Larker's?

I think my expectations were too high coming to Larkburger. I had heard so many great things and have been dying to give them a try (I had a free Larkburger card from last years Burger Battle that I wanted to use). After a longish day of greenhouse shopping for my patio I was in need of some food and a search later I realized there was a Larkburger in Arvada, yay! I ordered one Larkburger, add cheese ($.50), this seems like penny pinching on a burger. A side order of Truffle Parm fries and a soda. With my free burger card, the bill was still over $5. I was also surprised to find so little variations. You get the option of only 5 or 6 very basic burger or veggie burger options. Smashburger, Five Guys, H Burger, and the like offer many more variations and add ons for more creative creations. Lost my train of thought: The burger was good, not great. The house sauce that automatically comes on the burger is basically mayo and boy there was a lot of it. Also, I was forewarned that their burgers are cooked more to the medium-rare side which is why I asked for medium-well and still got a fully pink burger through the whole thing, not a deal breaker but worth a retraining of your cooks on how to cook meat to order. If you ask how I want my meat cooked, you should be able to deliver. If not, just don't ask me and I'll lower my expectations. The beef was juicy and the tomato, lettuce, and onion were fresh. The truffle parm fries were very greasy. I liked the addition of fresh cut parsley to the fries, added some nice color and some more flavor. Holy SALT batman - these fries are like eating a tablespoon of salt. I needed something to save me from the salt I ingested here. The salt was way excessive and was a pretty big turn off for me here. The truffle flavor was nice when I could get beyond the salt attacking me at every turn. It's another burger joint in Denver. I would rather try other burger places and return to my old favorite burger places before coming back here again. Sorry guys.

I have heard this place raved about quite a bit so perhaps I had high expectations, but talk about overpriced disappointment. It's not a bad place to eat, but it's not a great place either. I'd say it's mediocre. The interior of larkburger is sterile and cold. Put some kind of artwork on the walls people. When I asked the cashier what was good and she said the chicken sandwich and told me she'd never tried something else I asked about. Really? At a place with burger in the name you recommend the chicken? We had burgers and they were good. Something about the way the food was packaged bothered me, it felt cheap, but the food is not cheap. After that visit I still would have given them 4 stars because despite the crummy customer service the food was good. Then last night I picked up a kale salad right before closing. Perhaps this was my mistake, Friday night and the staff probably wanted to get on to better things. Anyway my kale salad was pitiful. It looked like they had dumped out the contents of a Costco kale salad bag and called it good. My salad was a ton of kale half a radish, about 5 edamame, a teaspoon of cuccumber and onion and thin two dried out matchsticks of carrot. I could have stopped at Safeway and gotten the same thing for half the price. When I order a salad I expect more. Was way more impressed with Burgerfi downtown.

Can I take a moment to rave about their NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT?! I'm allergic to nuts and their establishment is nut free. Not only is it so, it is delicious and their burgers and truffle fries are amazing! Definitely pricey, however I find it worth it. My husband and I often share a fry, as they are very tasty and filling!

OK...I've tried Lark many, many times. But last night was the final straw. We already cut out visits because the price was too high for low quality but it was still better than Wendy's or BK. Now, it's worse. Last night I ordered a Turkey burger and chili. My sons had LBs and fries. The fries were cold and under seasoned, the burgers were dry and tragically, the chili was watery and tasted like soap. Yes soap. So damned depressed. Guess I'll hafta figure out the original chili recipe n make it at home. As for the burgers? Well I think I'll save my cash n hit Wendy's instead. Dammit we really need good places to eat here in the Arvada/Westy area. Someone plz save us!

A good $10 meal...for $20. Larkburger is your typical Boulder business that jumps through the prerequisite "green" hoops, delivers a marginal product, and overcharges. Image-conscious and deep-pocketed trustafarians buy into it, I'm sure, but those who care about value won't be so impressed. The burger, fries, and shake were all good. No complaints other than walking away feeling a little ripped off.

    (3)
  • Matt P.

I have had Larkburger multiple times, and although I think the burger & turkey burger taste & quality is similar if not better than when compared to some competitors, I don't feel like the price is justified for the quantity. They are smaller portions at a higher price. Additionally, there have been many times when the food arrives that the fries are cold, or completely over seasoned. The chili is sometimes good, other times it tastes right out of a can. I feel that more consistency is needed in preparation.

This is a very cool and yummy place to give a try if you're just outside Denver! With everything grown locally and organically, you can indulge your craving for burgers and fries without feeling guilty! And let me tell you, the fries with truffle oil? A must try! Also, they have great kids meals that will leave your kiddo happy and healthy. I'm hoping to see more of these pop up around Denver so I can try it again the next time I'm visiting!

Lark burger is one of my most favorite 'fast food' places and with it right around the corner, who could beat that? Fresh, made to order burgers with Tillamook cheddar (one of my favorites) and they even have a delicious GF bun option for a bit extra on the price. I get to have my burger on a bun and eat it too! The truffle fries are out of this world tasty and the staff here are incredibly nice. Thanks for being in the neighborhood!!!

I've been to Larkburger a handful of times now, and I honestly don't think it's anything really special. I've tried a couple of the burgers, and the fries. A few weeks ago, while searching for a place to grab something quick for dinner, I came across the menu online and saw that their salads looked pretty decent. Also nothing really special - it was OK, but not great. For the money you can spend here, I think I would probably have expected a bit more. I won't rule them out completely, but they really aren't at the top of my list.

Lark burger is always consistent. It's our go-to spot when we're in the mood for a burger and fries. Our food was ready within a few minutes after we ordered. It was fresh and hot! Restroom was clean but I think they should install a hook to hang purses and jackets. Staff was friendly.

Went to the Arvada location last night, 2/19/15. Way expensive. Very, very dirty. Food all over the floor and tables. Could not see the dining area for the wall separating, would have run out the door if I saw the dining area. Made me wonder about the kitchen. Sure enough, my concerns were real. Spent the evening and morning in serious stomach and intestinal distress.

  • Lana S.

My french fries were mushy... Thats the worst thing you can do to me. The bun was not very fresh. The only redeeming thing - the patty was cooked perfectly. Meh... For $10 dollars I spent I can get better burgers.

  • Travis J.

Ahh, nothing to really brag about... they had good burgers and good fries, but for the price, I'd expect to have twice as much as I ordered... when I went here I got 3 burgers, 2 fries, and 3 drinks and dropped a $40+... I guess I should have tried extreme couponing, then maybe I'd only spend $20-$30... the quality I'd have to say is a lot like Wendy's or Good Times. I'd say that I'd go back if I had a coupon or 2 and/or if somebody else is paying "aka by BFF Bill Gates"...

Ordered two cheeseburgers , two fries and two sodas. Got everything but two pieces of cheese. Other than that it was good. Asked for well done. Got it. Good beef. Good fries. Looked like the employees were having a good time. Nice to see happy workers. But would've liked to see some cheese. Still four stars though. Will go back and try other stuff.

Worst fries ever! Ok so this was my first time at a Larkburger and my truffle burger was OK nice and thick made to order but if there was any truffle aioli I must have missed it. Now the fries maybe it was just mine but really brown, skinny, soggy lifeless fries. They all looked and tasted like the reject fries you never eat at other places. I don't think I will rush back for the price I can do better.

I enjoy larkburger because of their selection but this locations customer service is what gets them a 5 star review. The small size is an excellent addition to the menu and is better than the other fast food places in this area. The price is a little high but once you bite into your burger you forget all about that. If you like thin cut fries than this place has some of the best. There is a great selection of condiments to go with the orders and the truffle burger is one of the best burgers around. I'm always offered a water cup when I'm waiting for my takeout order which is nice. Keep up the great work!

I used to enjoy their burgers cooked with truffle oil, but now that I've turned vegetarian, I came back to try the Amy burger, made with a large portobello mushroom. I swear I would eat the Amy burger over the beef version regardless of my conversion. It tastes amazing - so now this is my spot I come to when I need a burger fix. The truffle Parmesan shoestring fries are perfect paired with it. In the past, I've also tried their tuna burger before with a ginger-wasabi sauce. Definitely another top notch choice - it's what I mainly ordered in the past. I love the corporate responsibility this local company also takes towards the waste they create, using primarily compostable cups, boxes, and silverware. I may feel like I'm paying the cost of a high quality restaurant meal, but I have no guilt supporting the extra effort this company gives back.

So... We order. We sit. And we wait. And we wait... And we wait... 20 minutes. 30 minutes. 35 minutes... Numerous people are walking out with Hastily Packaged paper sacks. Now we see why. We go up to the counter, where there is a couple sitting on the bench, who ask us "How long have YOU been waiting?" .... They had been there longer. There are also no fewer than five more people in line, waiting to place their orders. And nobody in sight to take their order, or speak with the dozens of us STILL waiting for our food. Finally, one of the female cooks comes out, and gets *This Guy* (See photo. Please see photo. *This Guy* is a GIANT D*Bag.) *This Guy* proceeds to ARGUE with us. He repeatedly tries to FORCE us to wait, and take the greasy-ass food "to go" because delaying us FORTY FIVE MINUTES apparently wasn't enough for him. He was literally YELLING at us while all we said (REPEATEDLY) was that we NEEDED TO GO and asked for our money back. "I'm GETTING HER!!!!!!!!" he yells at us. Chicky from the Cash Register finally comes back and simply says "It'll go back on your card, sorry for the wait." Yup. She's the ONLY one who apologized. And the poor other couple who was up there weren't even acknowledged. The summation: Don't EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER go to this Larkburger. I don't care HOW good their Truffle Fries might or might not be. And if you see *This Guy* (See Photo)... Just Run Away.

Okay this place is about an 10 minute drive from where I live, so needless to say I've been here about 8 times in the past 4 months. I like that I can get a gourmet burger and then some sushi right next door at Tokyo Joes. I've had the Truffle Burger - it's always tasty Tuna Burger- hit n miss, when I want medium, it still comes out over cooked, even when I ordered it again and asked for Medium rare, it was still over cooked. It depends the time of day you go and who's cooking it. Tuna is very hard to cook perfect. Parm Fries - I always love these yummy. Lark Chili - pretty tasty and hearty I asked for extra truffle sauce on the side to dip my fries in.. Yummy it was soo good. Amy Burger - Umm I guess if your vegetarian, you'd like this. Not hearty enough for me though. $5 Shakes- I had a chocolate. Pretty tasty but Really thick and trying to suck the straw gave me a jaw ache I like this place Way better than Smashburger. Smashburger has big hearty burgers, but there is no real seasonings or flavor, as where Larkburger has a signature taste to all their sandwiches. This place is worth it, to change up the pace if you're tired of Mickey D's or other fast food common places.

I tried Larkburger for the first time recently. I liked the Truffle and Parmesan Fries, and thought they were cooked just fine. I got the truffle burger, which was pretty good. There weren't enough pickles for every bite, though. The bun was soft, but dense. I'm not sure that I liked the texture of it. It did taste pretty good, though. The kids meal included a whole fresh apple, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, I thought it was a little too expensive for the burgers, fries, and drinks. I thought it was interesting that they had their menus on TV screens and a survey on a tablet type computer. Does the menu change that much to warrant use of multiple TVs to display it? It's nice that they're high tech, but how much of that cost is passed on to their customers? The employees were friendly and the place was relatively clean for as busy as they were, but I don't think we'll be returning.

I could not BELIEVE how expensive this place was. My mom and I went to check it out and ordered a super simple order. One burger, one BLT, and two orders of fries. It was thirty some dollars. For two burgers and fries... the service was very kind, which is a plus, but the food wasn't worth it in our opinion. :/ Also, it was pretty filthy.....

Newer burger chain does an OK job on the food, and with their sustainable energy practices: 3 stars. The burgers were just that and the salad wasn't much either. Added the Ahi tuna(extra $5), but for a total of $11, I was wondering why I didn't try Tokyo Joe's salad next door. Larkburger's reminded me of some prepackaged salad in a to-go deli at the grocery store. Boring!

The burger was cooked exactly how I ordered it, but was just okay in taste. The truffle fries were quite ordinary as well, not a ton of truffle or cheese flavor coming through. A step up from normal fast food offerings, but I am in no rush to return.

I freaken love this place! The best burgers ever, the best truffle fries ever, the best milkshakes ever AND composting??? No freaken way! This is by far my most favorite burger joint (if you haven't noticed), way better than In-N-Out (yes, I did say that).

Next.

I really liked the Amy Burger. It was better than most meatless burgers. I like the clean modern feel of the place. It almost breaks out of the obvious fast food model.

These hamburgers are awesome. The fries aren't great but as truffle fries, they're over the top. Edamame is a good substitute. I feel they cook the burgers a little pinker than I'm thinking... I choose medium well, to ensure its decently cooked.

I really liked this place the first couple of times I went. The last two have been decent, but nothing to get too excited about. I do recommend the truffle burger and truffle fries. I like the "green" approach the company is taking, so that earns them some points in my book, and they do use high quality beef and buns.

  • Amanda M.

Ehh... I want to like this place (close to my house, gluten-free options, FRENCH FRIES), but it's really only okay. The burgers are alright, the fries are just okay, and the prices are out of control, for what it is.

  • Kristin B.

Bummer.

So... We order. Just Run Away.

not too shabby of a burger. Comparable to the smash burger style joint.....for those that need a national chain reference as a basis.

I love this place! Great good and friendly staff. I will be back every Monday since kids eat free with an adult purchase.

My french fries were mushy... Thats the worst thing you can do to me. The bun was not very fresh. The only redeeming thing - the patty was cooked perfectly. Meh... For $10 dollars I spent I can get better burgers.
