The FOOD and SERVICE at China Terrace is OUTSTANDING! Coming from NYC, we had access to some of the best Chinese Food Restaurants and sadly, we miss them all, that is until we found China Terrace. The food is just like we used to get in the restaurants back in China Town in NYC. I was talking to the owner about how good the food is and he mentioned that his dad (the cook) used to work in China Town in NYC...well, now we know why it's so good. We have tried numerous dishes and have yet to be disappointed. If you like Chinese Food, you need to give these guys a chance. Highly Recommended!

I remember the China Terrace of old... This is most certainly not that! The food was adequate, and reasonably priced. The restaurant was dirty, disorganized, and the bathrooms were unpleasant. The service was forced and awkward. The gentleman running the place spent much of the time I was there chatting with a friend. He was hesitant to acknowledge his association with the former location - based on his observed age, he was likely a minor. I started eating at China Terrace back in the day because their egg rolls were amazing. The had marinated pork, veggies, and popcorn shrimp. What I received on this occasion had very little pork and no shrimp. Barely a step above the frozen garbage rolls you see at most restaurants. To say I'm disappointed would be understating it. I was excited to find China Terrace had returned. Rest assured, it has not.

Wednesday March 11th 2015, TO GO ORDER Order the food @ 20:35hrs. Received food @ 20:47hrs ish This establishment is in the Indian Tree Shopping Center strip mall. Same vicinity where Sprout's Farmer's Market is. They offer Delivery with limited area within 3 Miles Radius and Minimum Purchase of $12. We ordered the following items : * A4. Crab Cheese Wontons (6 pieces) ($4.75) * CF14. Scallops and Prawns Hunan Style ($11.50) * CF12. Kung Pao Triple ($10.75) * CM9. Shrimp Fried Rice ($8.25) Overall SEMI-OK dishes. Requested to have the MAIN Entrees to be EXTRA SPICY especially the Kung Pao Triple and the Scallops & Prawns, Hunan Style, both dishes fall short. *SIGH* The Kung Pao Triple dishes contains Shrimp, Chicken and Beef. They also put Vegetables such as Celery, Bell Peppers, Carrots and Snow Peas. It is also mixed with Peanuts. For the Scallops & Prawns, Hunan Style, YES it has Prawns and Scallops, but the BULK of this dish contains, Baby Corns, Celery, Carrots, Bell Peppers, Snow Peas, and Broccoli. The portions are doable, though nothing stood out of what we ordered or nothing to write about. The Chef's Specials of our Main Entrees comes with Egg Roll, which we have to throw it out since it contains PORK and we DON'T consume PORK. I should have ask first before ordering. My Bad. The Shrimp Fried Rice contains the norm Cubed Carrots and Peas aka (Frozen In The Bag Kind) with some Beansprouts. A little too oily aka too greasy for my personal taste bud. *DOUBLE SIGH* Their opening hours are as following : * Monday : 4pm - 9pm * Tuesday - Thursday : 11am - 9pm * Friday : 11 am - 9:30pm * Saturday : 12pm - 9:30pm * Sunday : 12pm - 9pm China Terrace 7705 Wadsworth Blvd, #B Arvada, CO 80005 Tel : (303)-420-3888 @61/2015

So, Sunday night in Arvada, lazy on the couch watching your fourth episode in a row of scandal leaves you with limited options. This came up on yelp, decent reviews, alright I'm in- not really a big fan of "Chinese delivery." But I'm hungry and hungover , let's go! I got the almond chicken and added on soup and rolls since I had to hit the $12 minimum. Delivery was quick, I told them on the phone to make sure the driver had change since I only had $20s. They forgot my comments because the driver was nice, but unprepared (not his fault) he ended up super confused. The food was ... Good. Not great not bad. I will be ecstatic about the portions, so big , when I was full it looked like I had barely eaten. Perfect for lunch at the office tomorrow! I loved the soup actually and i ordered a small expecting a side cup and got a huge portion I got 1/3 through. So much food!!!! I probably wouldn't order from here again honestly , but it wasn't bad. Again, delivery Chinese isn't my favorite so I might be biased- sorry!

Amazing place to come and eat! We were looking for some lunch and thought about Chinese food. Boy were we surprised! Amazing Szechuan dumplings and crab cheese wantons! We had cashew chicken and beef with broccoli lunches. Great at $5.95 a plate, including either 2 crab cheese wantons or an egg roll and your choice of soup. We will definitely be back!

We just ordered from them for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised. We've lived in this area for over 3 years and it's the first decent chinese food we've had that delivers. The combination fried rice and chow mein are both outstanding. The egg rolls were great too. We also had the sweet and sour chicken, the bigger pieces were good but the smaller pieces ended up being a little bit tough, they need to stick with the bigger pieces for this dish IMO. Overall a good experience and we'll definitely order from them again.

I would say 5 stars for the price. It is very reasonable, and the food is really good. Included with our meal was hot tea and they even brought us ice cream at the end of the meal. The service was great and it is clean. We will be going back.

Absolutely love this Chinese food!!! The prices are very affordable and the food is always warm, freshly cooked, and tasty. Piggy backing on what another person said about how it seems like they put care and attention to detail in every meal they serve, the same goes for the take out. Being there are numerous Items that can tip, spill, or drip on the way over.. not once have I ever opened the neatly packaged take-out yumminess to discover a huge spill or giant mess. Not sure how to say it in Chinese, but Bon appetite !

Excellent family owned restaurant that actually cares about each plate and service. They have added a nice touch with a scoop of vanilla ice cream after you have dinner too. (Dine in only) We have eaten there three or four times in the last 5 or so weeks. Good stuff!!

Yeah....still great. The egg rolls are really good as is the hot and sour soup. I also enjoyed the potstickers. But the sesame chicken is always mushy and overly sweet. It's too bad because they're so close.

Was hungry and passing thru Arvada. And I remember this little spot when I lived there. And ordered Sesame Chicken. Im a Sucker for Sesame Chicken I tell you what. The portions were great and The White rice was cooked and kinda sweet. Price for that and Broccoli Beef wasnt bad at all for the portions we recieved. And by the time we got to my Hotel room downtown and parked and got to the room it was still piping hot. I will be back to sit down and enjoy a meal this time.

I absolutely love China Terrace. The food is delicious. My family loves when I bring home carryout. The food is usually ready in 15-20 minutes and always hot and fresh. I typically only do carryout, as I think I might live a little north of their delivery area. I can't confirm that though, they do have an online menu. Definitely take time to stop in. chinaterrace.org

For a delivery Chinese place, China Terrace is great! The delivery is pretty quick, and the food is usually quite good. They have Chow Fun, which can be hard to find around here. The dining-in ambiance leaves something to be desired, as the restaurant is fairly small and was bustling with take-out and delivery service while we were there. We don't generally choose to eat at the restaurant, but it is our go-to option for Chinese delivery.

Very good food. Small place which felt authentic. I would definitely recommend this place. Awesome food for a great price. A lot of options on the menu for good dinner and lunch deals!

My quest for amazing lo mein finally ended... Right before I moved from Arvada. :( We love China Terrace. Although they have FREE delivery, I would recommend eating in the restaurant because you get tons of extras (by the way, the prices are amazing... Dinner for 2 under $20!!!!). It does not feel like a normal, bustling restaurant, it's more like eating at someone's house. The family who runs the place is so nice and friendly. To drink, get the tea! It's got a perfect flavor and it's never scalding hot though give it a bit of time to cool after pouring. Everyone gets the soup and rice of their choice, as well as those delicious fried noodles. For an entre, I recommend the lo mein (I have tried all of the meat ones, they are all good). My boyfriend really likes the sesame chicken. At the end of your meal, you get a small bowl of vanilla ice cream before your fortune cookie.

Subpar food, the Kung-Pao had no heat and the rice was dry. It has a good price and friendly staff, lots of options but I've had better.

Not great. We had food delivered and it was cold when it arrived. To be fair, I will say Chinese food is not my favorite, but I have definitely had better than this.

This place is tiny (seats 32), but clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous which is refreshing for an asian place. We ordered szechuan dumplings and combo lo mein, both were delicious.

If you're looking for ambiance, then look elsewhere. This restaurant is small, with just a few tables here and there. We were the only group there eating. This place really is mainly for take-out/delivery. Anyway, we had wonton soup, fried dumplings, sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, and double happiness. I liked the fact that soup is included with each dish since I don't see that very often with other Chinese restaurants during dinner time. They also offered 2 egg rolls on the house, which was nice. The food was average at best, nothing spectacular. The free vanilla ice cream they gave for dessert was good. Although the food is nothing to write home about, the service is great.

Our favorite new place for Chinese takeout! We stopped in here when they first opened, because it's close to home. We ordered our favorite - lemon chicken and crab cheese wontons. The food was much better than what we've gotten at other area restaurants. At first I thought it was luck, but we've been back twice since and it's just as good! The service is super fast and friendly with hardly any wait. I almost want to keep the secret to myself! :)

My wife and I were greeted by friendly smiles and outstanding service. The food here is remarkably better than any Chinese restaurant we have been to. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
