One word: Croissaffles. I don't generally like bread, nor do I generally like fried food. ::ducks: Before you all tar and feather me, let me tell you. Braun's Chicken and Croissaffles was so good, and so worth it, it momentarily made me reconsider my stance on fried and bread products. We went here for brunch - four adults and two young children. Brunch included cocktails, and because it was Derby Day, there were a bunch of fun ones on the menu. The beer list is extensive, but I opted for a whiskey cocktail, and someone else ordered a Bloody Caesar. They were all very, very good drinks. What can I say - croissaffles. Croissant dough waffles. They were incredible. The fried chicken was beyond fried chicken. Not greasy, but crispy on the outside and warm and juicy on the inside. They were all around the table, aside from one order of pastrami has and egg (very good, except onions were a bit heavy). We had a two and four year old, who were pretty rambunctious, and the server was very accommodating to their needs; while the service was pretty decent, our food took FOREVER. It was a bit surprising, as we were the only party in the place at 11:00 am. Overall it's worth a trip - I liked it very much. Arvada has a lot of other cute bars and decent food options, but this one is a solid brunch place.

Braun is a solid three stars for me. Nothing amazing, but solid. I had a fairly good burger with avocado, bacon, and jalapeños and a side of fries with a Colorado IPA. Wife and daughter had mac and cheese and French onion soup respectively. Service was fine. Attentive enough but not hovering. We were all in at $37 before tip, so not too bad. Good enough for us to try it again when we're in Arvada.

Really like this place! Great sports bar with good food and beer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. When we got an overlooked basket of fries, they made another basket they way we wanted it. Only negative is that the place is VERY loud at capacity. The walls and ceiling could use some noise dampening material. TIP: Being ear plugs!

I'm not a fan of sports bars but this place is roomy and has more of a tavern feel, despite the big screen tvs. I've been here 3 times now and the service has been consistently good. The have a large selection of craft beers, including the Ska Brewing True Blonde ale that I love. Haven't tried the food here other than the fries (with dipping sauces) but they were tasty. There's always been a good crowd when I've been there and they have a pool table as well.

Good service, large menu, decent mimosas. Stopped in for brunch and was excited by the variety of their special brunch menu. My boyfriend and I ordered in our typical style and got a couple of items to split. Bottom line: Chicken & CROISSAFFLES. Just do it. Also, add pork belly whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Braun is a good little spot that I wandered in to while waiting for some friends. I've never actually been to Old Town Arvada before so it was a nice surprise to wander in here. I sat at the bar and surveyed the landscape (read: tap line). Lot's of good beers of every variety for any tastes. i ordered and peeked at the menu. I have a weakness for wings and an addiction to capsaicin so when I saw habanero wings sauce was an option I promptly ordered them. I was really happy with that choice. Good heat without overpowering the flavor. I was meeting people at the brewery across the street, and after we spent some time there we actually wandered back in to order a round and a bite. This time we got the pretzel and cornbread. The latter is very tasty, the former nothing terribly special. Both the bartenders at my first run and the servers at our second were friendly and welcoming. I don't work terribly far from here and my lady often finds herself in the area as well, I could easily see myself coming back here.

I have been here several times recently as I have quite a few people I work with relocating to the Denver area and I wanted to show them Old Town Arvada. Its got a great location on the corner, and has a nice interior. There is also somewhere to sit outside and just people watch. There are some pool tables, and some TV's,.. friendly service and decent food. I know this has been changed a few times, but so far, this one I have actually visited more than once.

My first trip here was for brunch, but once I opened the menu, I knew I'd need to come back. The Croissaffles (waffles made with croissant batter) were unique and delightful. The stew was hearty and satisfying. I've always had great servers and really quality meals. Even something as small as cornbread was exciting and delicious. I had my father visiting from sea level, and when he mentioned that he was having an issue with the altitude, the waitress filled up a pitcher of water and stashed it near us to make sure she kept our waters topped off. It was very thoughtful. If you sit outside, expect slow service. Inside, the atmosphere is fun and inviting. And they host Geeks Who Drink on Tuesdays. I love this place, and you will too.

I knew when we strolled in; there was something about this place we'd like... Was it the energetic smile on the bartender, or possibly the 20 glimmering rotating tap handles, all standing as erect as the guards at Buckingham Palace, or the barrage of TV's scattered about giving everyone a perfect view of any sporting event? Maybe, just maybe, it was the sparkling fresh look of a newly opened watering hole offering the aroma of pastries, a Bavarian picnic and an eclectic art gallery of bygone boxer photos. Braun's Taphouse is the stepsister of Udi's (right across the street), but unlike most stepsisters, these two places aren't jealous of each other at all. In fact, they compliment each other very well. The cleanliness and comfort will lead you in, the photos will intrigue you and the scents and service will keep you there. Plus- they have the "Croissaffle"(Croissant & Waffle), they cook croissant dough in a waffle griddle...and give you more options than a Peyton Manning audible, Chicken & Croissaffles, maple syrup, powered sugar, or cheesy gravy...

Stopped at the place for a quick dinner before going to a play. I won't be back. I ordered a beer and some how the waiter got it wrong. When the girl brought it to the table I mentioned it to her. She was very rude. The three other at the table along with my self where a bit taken back. The waiter then came by to get into the conversation basically telling me that was what I order, he would get me what I wanted but I was wrong. The others at the table heard what I ordered, but i guess the waiter was right and not the customer. It seamed we where punished from there. Our food took a while to come. I had to ask if they could bring it out as soon as we needed to get to the play. It came out about 5 minutes later without the fries. I had the all american burger. Asked for it medium rare. Came well, well done. The fries came out about 5 minutes later. Had to ask the same girl that dropped off the beer to pack them to go. At the we had asked for a separate check for my wife and I. The waiter took our three credit cards and split the tab three ways. Felt bad for our friends on the other side paying for a third each but we did not have time to fix the problem. There are many choices in the area, we made the wrong choice. Personally if Im spending money and supporting a business I would just like courteous service. What ever goes wrong at least try to be nice to the customer and treat them like they are paying the bills. Oh wait I thing the customers are the ones who keep the doors open.

Tasty and unique burgers, good craft beer selection and savory garlic fries. Service was attentive and friendly. Certainly would recommend and go back.

Since my first visit I must say, clearly management has worked the kinks out. Service has been stellar for several weeks. The menu has experienced a few tweaks and everything is delicious. This has become one of my regular hangouts for beers with friends, apps with family, and generally a go-to whenever I need a place to kill time. My only complaint is that the mac n cheese is frustratingly inconsistent. Sometimes it's creamy and delicious but just as often it's bone dry and covered in giant scallions. Don't be stingy with the cheese!

To start I ordered a margarita. It was the worst margarita I have ever tasted. I then had French onion soup. It was also terrible. I then had veggie nachos with chicken. The waiter forgot the chicken on my order then blamed me for not ordering it. Despite all of that the nachos were alright. My husbands burger was burnt and his fries barely cooked. The beer was good though! I won't return to this place.

We went here with friends because it was convenient. It was an okay experience. It was pretty dead. We got a chile burger, Pub fries, the chicken fingers, our friends had a burger and cheese sticks. So food was highly edible. Would I eat there again, only after other feasible options were exhausted. They do not take a cook temp on the burgers. This to me is unacceptable, for a premium priced patty. It reads to me you don't trust the meat. The burgers did have a nice crust, but again for a premium priced burger? The pub fries were wedges, they were dry, and did not register as fries. A pub fry is usually chunky, but these were more like chester chicken's ( like a sixth of a potato) but with less flavor. I would not recommend these. Everything came in a basket, and they were very round bottom baskets. These are okay for fried items, but I don't want my burger in a basket, is this dairy queen? My chicken fingers, only came with a hot sauce, no blue cheese or ranch offered. In this day and age is that too much to ask? Service was okay. Beer selection was the best part about the meal.

Compared to the hell hole that was Archive Room, this place is an awesome addition to Olde Town. The server we had was excellent - very friendly, great on recommendations, and quick to appear when needed. We tried the fried cheese and gravy (!!) appetizer, which...damn. It's good. That's all I can say. Shared an order of steak fries, which were solid, and I had the turkey burger. Delicious. Cooked perfectly, and juicy. And the best part? The bill. Two beers, a BLT, appetizer, turkey burger, order of steak fries...$36.00. Damn cheap for the quality and atmosphere. Looking forward to going back and trying something else!

MUCH better than typical vegetarian options! I had a mushroom sandwich, which was really really good, and we had the veggie nachos. I didn't think to take pics, but I was very impressed with both! Service was great, and they got us in and out in time to catch a show down the street! Perfect!

I work for the Baron group, udis... Now knowsn as silvis kitchen and have for a year but I have never walked into or eaten at our sister restaurant Braun. At five months pregnant I was craving some wings and walked up with my husband to try their wings. We sat on the porch cause we had our puppy with us , and my husband ordered a gluten free greens dark beer while we waited for the wings to go. The waiter was friendly and helped us order exactly what we needed. We waited for less then 20 minutes for the wings, came home and even after the walk found the wings to be delicious. In fact some of the best wings I've had in the last year. The sauce was not overwhelming and messy, and both flavors (buffalo, peanut sesame) were delicious. Just wanted to shout out to my sister restaurant and say thanks for the delicious wings! Excited to come back and try the Sunday chicken and waffles

Hooray! The awesome corner spot in Olde Town is finally occupied by a worthy tenant! I came here for dinner on Saturday night and snagged a table on the patio, which is tiny but excellent. People watching in Olde Town is always a good time, especially when you're at a good restaurant. For starters, the beer selection is good--not as good as other reviewers have claimed, but good. Personally I didn't see enough IPA choices and that's always what I'm after. But, a lot of people hate IPAs so I guess that's fine. I did find something that I liked, but when it comes to alcohol I usually do. As for the food, I really liked most of it. We ordered the fried cheese because it sounded irresistible. Cheddar cheese sticks with gravy? A fat kid's dream, and so delicious. This was definitely my favorite part of the meal. I described them to my brother and he said it sounded like poutine, and that was exactly what is was like minus the fries. Yummmmmmm. I had the BLT for dinner, and I thought it was pretty good. Instead of bacon it had pork belly, which tasted yummy but was a bit hard to chew on the sandwich. All the pieces of the BLT were good on their own, but it was really hard to eat, especially because the bread was really thick. I did really enjoy the jalapeño cream cheese on the sandwich because it gave it a nice kick that you don't usually get on a BLT. The one strange thing about this joint is that everything is al a cart. So, if you want fries you have to order them separate. We had an order of steak fries and I thought they were pretty boring. A lot of potato and not a whole lot of flavor. I didn't hate them, but I've had yummier steak fries elsewhere. As for the service? It was pretty great! When I first got there I was alone and it took longer than I would have expected to get a couple of waters, but as soon as my friend showed up and our waitress arrived, all was forgiven. I really am so happy this place is here, and I cannot wait to go back and have dessert. A chocolate-pretzel dessert caught my eye on the menu but I was too full and I simply must try it next time. Yay!

After recently relocating to Arvada from Fort Collins, we are glad we found this place. The wings are the best I've had in Denver Metro, We order these as an appetizer every time. Good selection of beer, they have Rogue Dead Guy which I'm a fan of. Enjoyed the Pastrami sandwich. Not crazy about the buns they use on the hamburgers, mine fell apart. Wife tried the stew which was excellent. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that the TV's were hung professionally and tastefully with no wires exposed. Wish more restaurants would hire real integrators to set up their AV like Braun's did. Sound system is engaging enough but doesn't detract from the atmosphere like in most restaurants. I will not return to restaurants where the sound is too loud and distorted because they have crap amplification. We will be back to Braun Taphaus soon!

I really wanted to like Braun. There aren't many good restaurant options in Arvada and Braun looked fun from the outside. But looks can be deceiving. Let's start with the service. Tabitha was our waitress and she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her from the moment she uttered her first sentence. Not a great way to start the evening. Then there's the food. I have a personal philosophy that restaurants should prepare better food than I'm capable of making for myself at home. While the food wasn't the worst I've ever had, it definitely wasn't good. Their buns were cold, stale, dry and fell apart two bites into the burger. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it came out well done. Everything was kind of cold. THE BURGERS DON'T COME WITH FRIES. Oh, and I ordered nachos as an appetizer. Our waitress brought them out with the rest of the food, and they were cold. Instead of the cheese being stringy and delicious, it was just a cold blob. I'm pretty sure she forgot about them. (I had a friend comment that they looked like his "hotel nachos" which he makes when staying in a hotel room with only a microwave at his disposal. Yeah...) It seems like Braun hasn't found its place yet. It's too nice to be a sports bar, and too sports bar-y to be a nice restaurant. Their branding on the outside portrays a fun, hip, young, trendy, gourmet image. It didn't measure up to these expectations.

It was good! The beer selection is excellent and the food was fresh (they make most of it right there) and the price was excellent. We'll definitely go back. I wouldn't say the food is anything special, but for the price, and location it's worth stopping by.

This place has a lot of potential but the service is lacking! My fiancé and I came here for a drink and waited for awhile to get a refill and even longer to close out! Great concept and atmosphere but if you are in a hurry I would go somewhere else!

Went in to this place, yesterday, for Mother's Day because the other place we tried was booked up at 3:30 in the afternoon. SO glad it was, because my husband and I were thoroughly impressed with this place!! I got the 'First Date' drink and WOW! Yeah, it's a bit 'boozy' as the bartender who created it, said, but SO yummy!! The French Onion Soup (modified for me, as a GF eater, with no croutons) was amazing and not too salty. The sweet potato waffle fries were outstanding and loved them with the chipotle aioli. I got the Spinach Salad and my husband had the smoked trout. It had a nice smoky flavor without being overpowering. ALL the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. I WILL be back as soon as I can! :)

Good beer selection! Sensual 90s slow jams playing upon entry.... Interesting. Mushroom burger was deelish, and had efficient service . Everything is a la cart on the menu. Some of the side items and apps cost more than the main entree's, which is weird. Consumed Dry Dock apricot, Konig Weiss vanilla porter amongst others. Seems like a good place to watch football, a lot of TVs.

Braun's is going to be a great addition to the Olde Wadsworth corridor. We've been there twice now - once on opening night, and once for lunch over the holiday weekend. They're definitely still working out some kinks - but I think that's to be expected. One thing's for sure though - what an improvement over the previous tenant! We've tried the Bavarian (love the pretzel rolls), the nachos, the pastrami and a burger. So far everything we've tried has been tasty. My partner in crime was not a fan of the burger but it seems that's because it had some hidden onions in the sauce. I thought it was pretty tasty - and even better it was just the right size, not so massive that you can barely take a bite. The service is hit or miss right now - but I sure that will resolve itself the longer they're open. I'm seeing great potential here people!

The food at Braun was pretty good, and f you like sausages, this is the place for you. The ahi salad is over-dressed. The pork belly burger is an absolute delight. There are not many options for vegetarians or those on a diet.

My friend and I wanted to check it out because of the great beer selection. Ambiance was friendly, our waitress was very attentive. While the beer selection was great & my friend's quinoa salad was good, the classic buffalo wings were smaller than expected and not something we'd order again. Worth it for a beer, but unfortunately not much else based on our experience.

So Friday was kind of a soft opening, and we stopped after Happy Hour at Udi's. Braun's is owned by Udi's across the street. It opened in the space that The Archive Room vacated after the patrons refused to pay $13 for a burger. The good news is that Braun's food is very affordable, burgers are in the $5 to $7 dollar range. We tried The Bavarian -- Avery beer brat, stone ground mustard, and sauerkraut on a pretzel bun. The brat was awesome, but the pretzel bun was amazing. I recommend that everybody try one of the sausage sandwiches. We also had the Haus Nachos with pico on the side -- black beans, green chili, pico, avocado, sour cream, andoullie sausage, pickled jalapenos, and cheddar. The nachos are thicker than you would normally find and filling. The green chili was nice and spicy, and it tasted freshly roasted. These were pretty good. This place is a great addition because it serves good food at an affordable price. They have about 30 beers on tap and about 40 bottles. It was too busy to get a bar seat, but I saw a bar drinks menu, and they looked good and affordable. Since they are new, there were some bugs to work out, but this place will be great. So far, they do not have happy hour, but I hope that they add one soon. I can't wait to return.

Rare to find such a great selection of local brews as well as excellent food. Too bad it is located in Arvada. Non pretentious. Friendly service. Just excellent. I never rate anything five stars!

Visited this place with my husband and daughter based on the great yelp review, only to find ourselves highly disappointed! First upon arriving for a wed lunch, we noticed that parking was almost impossible. There are no parking lots just off street parking. So we parked about two blocks away from the restaurant. When we walked in, the place looked pretty full but there was trash all over the floor near the entrance. We were greeted by the host/manager and seated in the bar area. There were plenty of beers to choose from and big TVs for my husband to catch up on sports news. Our sever who was also the only bartender came to greet our table. We were not greeted with her name or a pleasant welcome but was quickly asked what we wanted to drink. My husband had the Left hand Good Juju, which he enjoyed. We ordered a little bit of everything and got a while lot of nothing! Wings: 80 cents each minimum order of 10, classic buffalo. The wings are brined and cooked in bacon fat, only problem is that the bacon fat over powers the taste of chicken, and left an awful cold old oil after note to the wings, not to mention the purpose of brining chicken is to keep it moist. This wing was extremely dry! Taphause Mac n cheese: mac n cheese with pork belly, garnished with jalapenos & scallions. The cheese sauce was bland, again an overwhelming flavor of pork. I love pork but when everything I try is saturated with pork flavor, it gets really old! Took off the old looking jalapenos and unnecessary scallions because it just didn't make sense as a garnish. Long story short, we left hungry & disappointed.

It is what is. I've been to quite a few places to watch sporting events and this is definitely a decent choice. We went here to watch a Colorado Rapids game on Mother's Day. The first thing I noticed was that the place was SEVERELY understaffed. The poor waiter that was taking care of us was doing everything she could to manage 10+ tables in her section. The food was good enough for a lunch while watching sports. They had Anderson Valley Boont Amber on tap, which is hard to find and my absolute favorite beer so that was awesome. Their selection seemed very good so another plus for me. All in all, this was a decent place. I'd give it 5 stars if they'd splurge for a few more waiters.

This is a 2.5 star review. I've been trying to work up the energy to write this review and it occurred to me that I'm having such a hard time because I feel really ambivalent about my dining experience here. It's hard to explain because I liked the atmosphere and the service was prompt and friendly. But I thought the menu was rather boring and the food was bland. We started with the potato fritters, which were deep-fried balls of mashed potatoes served with ranch dressing. They were served screaming hot (I liked that) but they tasted pretty much how you'd expect anything deep-fried to taste. There wasn't really anything interesting about the flavor. Maybe something with a little more kick to dip them in would help. I had the fish 'n chips entree and again, it was served nice and hot and crispy, but there was just not much flavor there. Even the thick cut steak fries were disappointing, and I usually love those. The hubby ordered the cream cheese and jalapeno burger and it was very juicy and pretty tasty. We shared a side of mac 'n cheese and, again, it was pretty bland, even with pickled jalapenos on top. At least it was affordable and maybe we'll come back just for burgers and beers next time there's a good game on.

This spot is OK. We stopped in after attempting to check out Arvada Tavern, only to find it closed as it was early afternoon. The beer selection here was very nice. Our server was quick and attentive. Prices were a bit high for what you get on the food menu. We both ordered the Pork Belly Burger with an added side salad. None of the burgers/sandwiches come with a side. We paid an extra $3.75 for a small arugula laden salad. Then the burger. It was a good size for me (1/4lb). It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. However, I'm not sure it should be billed as a Pork Belly Burger. I had to take mine apart to hunt for this supposed "Pork Belly." What I finally found was a teeny strip of what simply resembled a piece of bacon. No flavor, nor did it really add anything to the burger. Again, this place is ok, but I'm not sure I'll be going back.

My wife and I had a great meal there. The food was spectacular and supposedly they were trying to finish off 4 or 5 barrels of beer and were selling high end craft beer for $2 a pop. Awesome.

We went to Braun's with friends who were visiting from out of town a few weeks ago, and had a great experience. For one, we came by later in the evening, and the kitchen was still turning out food, which is often an issue when trying to get a meal after 10 PM. The beer selction was awesome, and the server was knowledgeable about the beers and willing to bring tastes of anything, always nice when there is a big selection and decisions can be tough. The menu is inventive and everything we had was tasty. To be clear, this is not health food, but what are you expecting at a bar and grill concept? Great bar food, and that is what Braun's delivers, as well as some more refined entree choices as well. Our table had the biker-Jim tribute sausage, which was really yummy on a house made pretzel roll. Other standouts were the sweet ptotato waffle fries and the mac and cheese with pork belly. My friend, who is not an adventurous eater, took a chance on the pork belly burger and was floored by the flavors. I look forward to trying them again soon...

C'mon people! Where's the love? Braun's was awesome. Let's start with the best corn bread I've ever had. Lightly crusted from a cast iron skillet, these slices of thin, buttery goodness were phenomenal! Next came the chicken wings that had been soaked in bacon fat for 24 hours. Very tasty. I also enjoyed an amazing pastrami sandwich. The thinly slice meat had an amazing char that added to the texture and flavor. If the above wasn't enough, Braun has an extensive beer list that has something for everyone. The one pitfall was our overzealous server. She was almost TOO attentive. Great experience overall. I'll be back soon to try their variety of pork belly dishes.

I've been here several times for food and drinks and always sit at the bar. The beer selection is great and it's a good place to watch sports. The food is good, however I'm not always in the mood for the type of food they have. I wish they had a few more options that were not so meat/bacon heavy. The staff is friendly. One complaint is that it's so bright in there! The lights are kept up high and the walls are stark white. Dimmer lights and painted walls would make this a more comfortable place to hang out. That said, this place is a big improvement over the previous Archive Room.

This used to be a pleasant establishment. However, due to it's moderate success it has gone the way of many taverns and bars. Sports on most flat screen TVs and club like music pounding relentlessly over the speakers. The food is okay if you want to pay a little more for over cooked sausages and hardened pretzel rolls. The wait staff is eager to not serve you. Bolting between orders regardless of the the others waiting to place their requests and showing up twenty minutes later like a stoner bestie, who has finally repaid your patience with a single beverage. Go for the beer selection stay because you're waiting for it to arrive.

I wrote a pretty brutal review of the joint that was here before Braun's, so before writing anything here I wanted to try it a few times and give it a fair shake. Not being much of a drinker, the beer selection doesn't do much for me, though I am impressed by the huge variety they seem to stock. The times we have gone, our servers have been solid. Not great, not bad. No complaints. No raves. The stuff we have ordered has been really good, though first blush reactions to the size of the items is "where's the rest of it?" with the burgers looking more like sliders than and actual meal. To be fair, Ive never left unsatisfied. The menu feels like it is entirely ala carte, with you ordering your sandwiches and sides totally separately and the appetizer/small plate menu just bridging the two and just as valid options as entrees OR sides deepening on how hungry you are. They do make entree combos, but there are only 3 or 4 of them. I have had the pastrami sandwich (EXCELLENT!), the chips and cheese (cheese was great, the chips tasted like sun dried flour patties soaked in oil.), tried and LOVED the pretzel with that lovely cheese and tasty stone ground mustard. My wife tried the pork belly burger and said it was also excellent, though the tiny strip of pork belly she got was pretty disappointing. Entirely subjectively, at the end of the day, Im left feeling like this isn't a place you take your family out to go get dinner, even if they do have a kids menu. However if you're out running errands and need a quick bite, or you are looking for a bar that can also offer some really tasty foods, or if you find yourself hurting on a sunday morning after a saturday night of questionable choices (if so, chicken and croisaffles, seriously) this is a place you NEED to have on your radar.

After recently moving to Arvada, I met a friend here last week for dinner. We both enjoyed our beers (extensive drink menu), and my taphaus salad was excellent, if a bit light on the chicken. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the rest of the staff seemed great, as well. I like that it definitely feels like a local, neighborhood place, and I'm looking forward to going back!

Service very friendly, but good was disgusting. Nachos, canned green chile and stale chips, no thank you! And wings and burnt fries were needless to say disappointing. Check and done with the Haus, sorry.

I'm very impressed! I popped in here as a walk-by hoping for a good experience and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is a steal. The beer selection is great! A must try.

Great food and service, 20+ beers on tap, but don't come here if you want to watch hockey. They have all the other sports tho!

Favorite thing about this place is the beer selection. Food is okay but I have not have enough items to fully judge the menu. The service was not great. I had to ask for water three times and it was finally brought with our check. It did seem they were under staffed for a Sunday afternoon. Probably would not make the trip back Olde Town for Braun.

A friend and I had lunch but it was not good. I had the fish and chips, which was truly, horribly bland (the batter isn't seasoned and fish is lacking any flavor). I also order a side of Mac & Cheese with pork belly. She brought out a regular Mac & Cheese and then forgot I wanted the pork in it. I figured she was going to bring me a new one with it mixed in, but instead she brought me a side of pork belly? I didn't complain and attempted to mix it together, but the pork belly was so OLD! I just skipped my Mac & Cheese altogether at this point. I left all of the food because it was truly inedible- all of it. The food was truly not good at all. I really wanted to like this place, but I would rather spend my money at the Grandview Tavern down the road.

Promising menu, extensive draft beer selection, and open atmosphere, sounds like a great Friday afternoon lunch. Super slow service, over done burger and cold onion rings make for a semi disappointing dining experience. Semi only because I'm not sure if this was an anomaly. I guess we may have to give it one more try.

If you love bland food then, you'll absolutely enjoy this establishment. The mac and cheese, over cooked cheese curds, to the pork burger. All of these items have little to no flavor. Now the french onion soup is fairly decent, has a bit of a bite to it. The porterhouse pork chop was excellently cooked, tender and juicy. I've given this 2 stars because of the wait staff. Even though she forgot to order my main course. She accepted responsibility admitted to it. I appreciate and respet that kind of honesty.

I have been to Braun three times now, and have had wonderful experiences thus far. The atmosphere is warm with plenty of TVs to watch whatever major sports are on and good music (mostly current hits). The menu is typical bar food options with really tasty twists! I have ordered the jalapeño burger twice which was excellent and have tried the Tap House Mac (tasty but not quite Rack House tasty). I've also tasted the nachos and fries and they were great too. The beer menu is fantastic with about 20 local brews on tap and their bottled list of beer is impressive. Overall price is quite affordable! I like that all of their burgers etc. come a la carte. Date night with two dishes is usually less than $15 without drinks. Braun is within walking distance to my new condo and I can imagine I will be frequenting quite a bit. My one tip: food could be served more temperature hot.

I've been in a few times for brunch and dinner, and every time it's been pretty great. We've really liked the food and service until we went the other night, food was good but we must have had a pretty bad table because all we could hear were two servers complaining about their manager in pretty bad language. If I'm with my buddies, fine, I don't care what your saying. But with my wife and daughter there? When I turned around to say something to them it would have been nice to get an apology, instead they walked off. I'm still a fan of the food and their beer's always good, but can't say my wife will ever be back.

I'm a little surprised by the negative reviews this place has received. I've been twice over the last few weeks and I've been pretty happy each time. The restaurant has a great selection of beer and some pretty tasty appetizers. I would recommend the potato fritters to start, followed by one of their excellent burgers. Many of the burgers come with pickled jalapeños, however, these can be swapped out for fresh by asking your server. This may not be a big deal for some people, but it's a big pet peeve of mine. Pickled jalapeños are an abomination and should be sent to the deepest level of hell.

Wandered in here to have a quick meal and a beer. First I feel they have a great selection of beer! A nice sour on tap and a great selection. The food on the other hand is a bit overpriced for what you get. For an appetizer I ordered some sweet potato fries for $6 and received maybe 15 fries. The green chilli nachos sounded awesome but were disappointing... they were essentially nachos I could make in the microwave. The biggest disappointment was the pork belly burger, which is $10. I received a piece of bacon on the burger the size of my thumb. The burger was cooked well but left a lot to be desired for a pork belly burger. Next time I will just go for the beer and eat somewhere else.

Been here a few times and its starting to become one of my favorites. When it first opened the service was a little sloppy but it was a new business which comes with a few hiccups. Now that things are up and running I think this place will be a great addition to the area. The servers and bartenders have always been very friendly and go above and beyond. Makes me smile: Mac and cheese, sausage sampler, steak, PBR Makes me sad: PBR Pricing. 24oz down the street is $3. Braun 16oz $3. And the top of the cans are always nasty dirty. My friends say the crap on top comes with the crap I'm drinking.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. My Moscow Mule was VERY good. I have had some bad mules so I am apprehensive to order them my first visiting. I was expecting below average food and service but both were VERY good. Nice relaxed place with a very interesting menu. My husband loved tasting all the different beers.....they have about a thousand on tap!

Great vegetable appetizer! Great Ahi Tuna and Chicken Salads and the happy hour deals are great. Great new spot for Arvada, good prices and pretty trendy without trying to hard.

At best, average place to have a family meal. Atmosphere is very loud and food is overpriced for the amount you get. Won't be returning any time soon!!!

Did the Archive Room reopen? It looks exactly the same except it has a mediocre ambience and BAD service! The beer list is lame, hardly a list that would give you permission to boast yourself as a taphaus. Not only were the choices lame they were spelled wrong too. The bartender was in front of us as we sat down, and yet he still ignored us to tend to dirty glassware. Not even a hello, I will be right with you, nothing! With all of those beers on tap you would think that he might want to spend some time explaining the different brews they had to offer. Nope. Just a menu thrown down in front of us. The menu was nothing spectacular, cheap burgers and bar food. I guess I just don't see anything special about this place. Go to the Arvada Tavern if you want exceptional service, food, and drinks. In fact that is probably the only good place left to go in Olde Town!

    (1)
  • Robert L.

Many locals agreed that the previous Archive room was a disaster and we were happy to see someone new come in. Although the beer selection is awesome..the food and service is about the same as the Archive room. Over priced for the quality and the consistency of the food is off. We have been a few times and I wouldn't go back if it weren't for the 1 salad that my wife enjoys. Hope it gets better. starting to think the building is cursed.

Nothing bothers me more than a restaurant that sells fries separately with their burgers. Just feels like nickle and diming. While the food was cheaper than most in the area, it was not good. Got the pork belly burger which boasted of crispy pork belly. It came out and was limp and soft. Not appetizing at all. Plus, who doesnt put cheese on a burger. Cheese curds were under fried. It's just not a place I would even consider returning to for a second chance. The menu isn't exciting at all. The identity of the restaurant is confusing as well. It seems like it's trying to be a restaurant first and bar second but it's just a bar with mediocre bar food.

  • Levi L.

Braun had a pretty decent jalapeño and cream cheese burger that I enjoyed and they had a few decent brews on tap. The fries were super disappointing, though. That burger was something to crave, but I'm not sure I'll go back because of how gross those fries are. Who has 2 thumbs and wants a burger with no fries? Not this guy! (Points two thumbs at himself). I would like to try some of the other things on the menu though - so hopefully after I do that I can update with a better review. As of right now, though, I'm not a fan.

It appears this place is getting mixed reviews, so I might as well throw in my two cents. Hey, I like the place, and I'll tell you why. I also tell you what to watch out for. First, the place looks a lot like the former tenant, "The Archive Room," except that the fireplace/sitting area has been removed for a pool table - just one pool table. Other than that, the same booths, same tables, and same bar stools are still there. It seems like a beer-oriented restaurant would face a lot of competition in the Olde Town area considering there already exist six bars in the area, and six restaurants. Nonetheless, this place has a chance because it actually has something different to offer. That is 20 different craft beers on tap with the intent to change them out from time to time. When I was in there, they didn't offer any beer flights, but they did have the option of creating your own by picking and choosing as many 3 oz. samples as you would like for $2.00 each. They will also let you have a 1 oz. free sample of any of the beers you would like to try. I thought it was very fair and equitable. I also liked that many of the beers offered were locally brewed within the state. Another aspect of this place I liked were that there were a number of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu at reasonable prices. They even offer a gluten-free option on burgers. All food is reasonably prices, but note that when you order a burger, that's all you get. They do serve them with pickles, but, if you want fires, you'll have to order them separately. If you want food and a good choice of beer, this is the place to go. Across the street at the Arvada Brewing Company, they have good beer brewed on site, but they offer no food. If you go to the 12 Volt tavern, you'll have to wade through a cloud of smoke, and walk through a pile of cigarette butts just to get inside since they seem to be unaware of the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act. The same is true down the street at Cheapskates. At the Grandview, they have decent food, and decent beer, but I stopped eating there when I saw the back door, (a "screenless" back door) consistently propped open with people smoking out there, also in violation of the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act, but leaving the entire restaurant open to rodent and insect infestation as well. If they care so little about the cleanliness of the restaurant, I don't want anything from their bar or their kitchen. You could go to D-note, too, but, since it's a music venue, you can expect it to be loud, and they, too, allow people to smoke out front. Right now, it seems that Braun is the perfect choice for people who want good beer, good bar food, and a clean, nicely-decorated place to enjoy it. Braun staff also seemed very congenial, helpful, and knowledgeable. There are, however, two reasons why I didn't give this place five stars. One reason for the star snub was the bartender. I perfectly intended to leave her the nice tip I did, but, when she picked up the payment, she just took it without even inquiring if I needed change, or waiting for me to tell her, "No change." I thought that was kind of rude, and presumptuous. The other reason is the women's bathroom. I did not use the bathroom, but my wife did. She said the "Non-handicapped" stall was so small she had to step to the side of the toilet just to close the door. I understand that this is probably because they needed to make the handicapped stall big enough for code, but it sure creates difficulties on the non-handicapped. I did not go in there, but I suggest that if you are a woman, you use the handicapped stall unless you are really urgent, and that one is already in use. I cannot comment on the men's room. All in all, I liked this place, and I will keep it on my short list to try again.

Can't find anything wrong with this place. Been here 3 times now and am very impressed. Lots of great beer on tap even more bottled and canned Food is great as well The best part is the service though. The staff is polite, energetic, and pleasant. I'll be back many more times.

Shitty service. Took too long and wouldn't honor valid ID. Archive Room was way better when it was here. Save your money and go to a decent establishment like the Arvada Tavern just up the street.

I am so happy with Braun. Olde town has been missing a place like this. The drinks were great. Our bartender and server, Winston, were both amazing and personable. Loved the beer selection and the food was AMAZING! We had the fish and chips, veggie nachos and a brat burger. Everyone was delighted with their food. The coleslaw was truly the best I've ever had. Even those who hate the stuff will love Brauns version. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Anywho, try this place. I think you'll be happy.

I was at Braun's recently during one of the Bronco playoff games and enjoyed my visit. I liked their craft beer selection, the food was tasty, the service was friendly/attentive and the place is clean, bright and inviting. I intend to visit them again today & looking forward to another nice experience.

I've been in this place twice in the last week. Everything has been amazing. They have a great beer selection, really good burgers, and decent service. You can't beat their lunch special, comes with a $2 beer. It's a great addition to Old Town Arvada!

I was really excited to try this place. I love old town arvada and the menu looked great. I know it is newly opened and I hope the kinks will be worked out. Our service was fair, the biggest downfall was our waitress not checking on us after we received our food. It wouldn't have mattered if everything was ok with my burger. I liked the menu, and the prices. We both ordered burgers. I had the jalapeno burger, it came with hardly any cream cheese on it. I sat and waited and waited to see our waitress again to ask for some. She brought some but I swear it was an herb spread. It tasted of dill, I couldn't really eat my burger after I added it. Hopefully it was all a fluke. We both thought the burger buns tasted day old. I would like to give it another try. There are many things that looked worth a try on the menu.

Well other than an ok happy hour and plenty of bar/restaurant seating this place is average at best. Our server took our original drink order dropped them off and we never saw her again. We had to flag someone down to go get her. I've worked in the restaurant business and have been in the weeds but I've never just flat out ignored tables! Do yourself a favor and walk over to Udi's across the street for a much better deal on food and service.

We came here on a very busy Friday night and they handled the large crowd well. We waited at the bar for 15 minutes or so and were then seated at a comfy booth. Their beer selection is stellar with plenty of options. I have eaten here twice and gotten the same thing twice, the Taphaus salad, which is essentially the same salad as the "Macho" salad at Cherry Creek Grill and their sister restaurants. They do it well at Braun's. The crowd is fun, the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. I do agree their menu is limited and not super healthy, but they are not promising that. If you go in with expectations of great beer and a couple of decent food items in a fun space you should enjoy your experience here.

This a great new addition to old town Arvada. The rotating tap list is excellent and well curated. The Croisaffles for brunch are a great idea and well executed. Also the appetizer choices are tasty as well. We wanted to try the cheese curds but were recommended to pass on them by our server, hopefully they will get those right because being from the Midwest we do like our fried cheese. Overall this is a great place and we will be back. Screen set up looks for for watching sports as well.

The chicken and waffles were delicious and the peanut butter sundae is amazing! However, the service tends to be really slow, even when it's not very busy. Good food, but don't go if you're in a hurry to get anywhere.
