I went back to this cold stone & it was better than the last time I was here. I had such a pleasant visit thanks to this girl named Theresa. Walked in & was greeted with the sweetest smile, ready to take my order. She was VERY friendly & tended to all my needs. I really hope to see her again my next visit.

Very slow service. Long line. The manager needs to do something to get people in and out faster.

We found a staple in the ice cream, then asked to speak with a manager and the "shift leader" passed the buck. No one knew what to do or who to call. Poor training and a huge lack of knowledge. I will not be returning to this or any other cold stone location ever again.

Went in with my mom and dad for a little family dessert trip. I am not a huge fan of Coldstone's ice cream. I find it to be almost too melty and creamy and it melts almost instantaneously on a hot day. But this dessert trip was so great I had to leave a review. We went in and there was only a bit of a line. It was a beautiful, not too hot summer day. The smell of waffle cones being freshly made permeated the air inside and outside the shop. We got up to the counter to order and my dad being the frozen dairy product obsessed guy he is declares that my family will have two "create your owns" in the "gotta have it" sized cup. This of course is nuts because we are only three people and he just ordered two of their largest size. He explains that we will be taking the leftovers home to eat later. Makes sense I guess, and I'm never one to turn down free ice cream. I order the dark chocolate, vanilla bean, pistachio, and black cherry ice creams in my cup. My dad has strawberry, bananna, dark chocolate, and mint. We both got brownies on top. The dark chocolate is pretty decadant. It almost gets mixed up with the brownie. I really enjoyed that. The vanilla bean is standard. Pistachio could have used some chunks in it but is pretty good and I would order it again. Cherry is one of my favorite ice cream flavors and this one does have chunks in it. I would probably get it again. I could barely get a bite of my brownie in because there was just so much ice cream to eat. This is where I give this place an extra star for service. These two orders of ice cream were HUGE! They were literally spilling out of their cups and it was a race against time to keep the entirety of the second level of ice cream from melting onto the table. I could eat about a quarter of my cup before I had to grab one of their domed lids to take the rest home. I am so looking forward to visiting my parents next week and feasting on the leftovers I left in their freezer, if they don't devour it before I get there. In summary: This place is generous with their portions and is for sure my new go to when the family wants Coldstone. One "create your own" in the "gotta have it" size is less than $5 and is SUPER MASSIVE. Note that I did not get my ice cream mixed up because I like to taste my flavors separate so there were actual scoops stacked on each other instead of just one massive scoop.

I like to come here on hot day! They have lots of choices but I hate the line here. My favorite is chocolate devotion but the rest is good too I guess!

We got there before they closed and the girl was helping us was so rude. 2 stars for the great ice cream.

I came in because I was craving cold stone and this place was the only one near me so I went to it. As I came in the place seem Very ok-ish, kind of tight. So I ordered the banana caramel crunch, once I got it the ice cream was already melting! I don't know if their ice cream wasn't kept at a right temperature or that the table was cool enough to keep it from melting. But I definitely won't be coming back here. Ruined my cravings for sure. + but customer service was nice 1 star for that I guess..

The only reason I like this location is because they stock up cotton candy flavor ice cream -- one of few around the area. This location is located inside of a hub/plaza so you're not distracted by the ongoing traffic on Mowry avenue, which never seems to stop. There's plenty of parking and there are quite a few shops and restaurants including a bakery shop. There's outside and inside seating. Even though, it is mostly crowded -- I always happen to find a table to sit. The hub itself is very lively to be in so seating is not even an issue. The staff isn't too welcoming, obviously that's not factored in behind my liking of this place. However, what bothers me is that the place is not too clean. In the summer, I have visited this place many times and it was always dirty (used napkins and ice cream cups all around the place including the trash can being full). I'm assuming that's because there are two doors and the wind makes it worse but the staff should be responsible enough to clean/sweep the place. I would not recommend bringing children as not only is the place in a mess but the tables are also sticky. The staff is only happy when you tip as they announce happiness due to the tradition Cold Stone holds. The staff is not tip-worthy. I would go to the Automall location if you are set on/craving cold stone but only bother coming here for cotton candy flavor. Hope this review is helpful. Star #1 -- Location Star #2 -- Cotton Candy flavor Star #3 -- The memories I have made here! (Yeaup, that deserves a star) SYOY!!!

Now I remember why I don't come to this particular location. The ice cream, my boyfriend ordered the birthday cake remix for me. I don't know what kind of ice cream she used but it wasn't the cake batter one (I didn't watch her make it). Then it wasn't even mixed up. There were A LOT sprinkles on top, two little pieces of brownie on the bottom, and no fudge. Then, last but not least, the ice cream was half melted. I'm still confused how that happened. That's how it was handed to me so who knows what went down when she was scooping it up. Yea, they've messed up my ice cream orders one too many times. I'll definitely be going to a different location next time.

Coldstone Creamery not a fan of. everything is overpriced, too sweet. drink: coffee frappee(3.99) -pieces of ice in drink sent shivers down my windpipe -too sweet -mixed with solution, chocolate, topped with whipped cream drip:- -service seems slow, drinks, floats, etc. labor intensive -expect to spend 15 minutes before leaving here.

This is an A-OK location of Coldstone Creamery. The customer service was ok, there was one employee who was helping all the customer, there were more people behind, but not sure if they could have helped to speed up the line. However the ice-cream was delicious, waffle cones were fresh and the store seems very clean.

There's nothing better than some ice cream after a satisfying meal. Met the hubby over at Jack's Brewery for lunch and then took my son for some ice cream right across the parking lot. I don't care for all the toppings and shenanigans that they have available, all I wanted was some ice cream and the service was nothing but complacent! Can't wait for the summer to hit this joint again. yummy for my tummy.

Great Ice Cream. Horrible everything else! Here is my story for others so they can avoid this location. I went there with my family at around 4:00 PM (there was 1 customer at a table eating) and there was only 1 other person in store ordering ice cream. I decided to hang around the middle of the long counter (near one of the doors between 2 fridges). A couple of ladies walked in and went and stood near the person making the order, and when that order was completed the server directly started interacting with the ladies. He wasn't even aware I was already waiting. So I move to the end of th ecounter next to the ladies to wait for service once they were done. As soon as I moved, another couple arrived from the doors mentioned and stood around the middle of the counter. Another server appeared out of nowhere (an asian lady, I forget her name) and she directly started serving one of them! I was like what the HECK! So by then the first server is done serving the ladies, and he walks over and starts serving the other half of the couple that walked in! So now BOTH servers are serving the same couple!! I'm like What The Heck is going on here! So I got screwed over by the servers THRICE (1 for the couple of ladies and then both walking over to serve the couple). When I brought it up later, the server was like I'm sorry, how may i help you. I almost walked out but my little boy was very excited to have ice cream so I decided to stick around and be served. I'm definitely NEVER going back. How can a customer service rep have NO IDEA who walked in or who is waiting and just walk over to people and start serving them?? Even the second server just randomly walked over to another couple without checking that I was already waiting for about 10 minutes. To the owner, get your staff in gear, and also put up like a tiny printout sign or something that says line starts here or please wait here to be served. It was a ridiculous way to serve folks!

Warning: this coldstone does NOT accept coupons that aren't printed out. You can't show them the email on your phone, they won't accept it. I just tried with a BOGO coupon. Get with the times coldstone! I guess next time Ill open the email on my computer, and print out the sheet before I come since thats what they require. *rolls eyes* Ps.theres no barcode on their coupons which thats the only excuse I can think of for no phone coupons.

Let's start out with the positives about this Cold Stone Creamery location.. Ice cream is delicious, waffle cones are fresh and very generous on mix in's. Also the store seems very clean. Now for the negatives.. Customer service is horrible!!! Came in tonight around 9pm, no welcome greeting from employees, and the girl had a very snotty attitude! Then another employee was just on her phone playing loud explicit music!! Instead of helping other customers, cmon now

Since it's the only cold stone close by, it's basically the only option I have. This place is small, crowded, the parking isn't too bad, but the service is so bad. They always have like two workers but one of them is either distracted or moving as slow as they possibly can. I was in line for 15 minutes... There were only two people ahead of me&it was ridiculous to take that long. The cash register malfunctioned or something&instead of helping the person fix it, two other people chose to go to the back instead (or even helping the rest of the customers). So ridiculous that the ice cream isn't worth it at all. Also, it's pretty expensive here. I would rather drive to pacific commons if I wanted cold stone that badly.

Banana ice cream with the crushed graham crackers mix-in = solid combination. Try it! My other favorite combination is peanut butter ice cream with the Butterfinger mix-in. I've been enjoying ice cream and ice cream cakes from this location for many years and I have yet to be disappointed. The ice cream is rich and creamy, the location is conveniently situated in the Fremont Hub (next to Amia Bakery, near Bed Bath and Beyond) and there is plenty of parking nearby. The staff at this location are sometimes nice, too! Cold Stone Creamery is A-OK!

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!!! Except when you come to this location......more like you want to scream at to workers to work just a little bit faster. While the ice cream tastes amazing. The service is extreamlyyyy sllllowwwww. Waited in line for like 15 minutes for a bowl of ice cream. Hopefully by summer time they can hire more staff.

Dear management, your establishment smells like dirty mop water. There is nothing more unappetizing than that disgusting smell while eating. Is it so hard to change the water in the bucket or soap/change the mop head once in a while? This place needs some love. It's just downright dirty. Dusty, sticky, smelly, you name it. The smell in here is just one of their problems.

Have been a regular customer for years. Love their ice cream. Have ordered many ice cream cakes for huge family gatherings... and HAD ALWAYS received EXCELLENT service. Went in today with hubby, ordered some cones. Bottom line: SERVICE SUCKED.... "Mahalia" was not only un-attentive, but served us with an "attitude". WILL NOT be going back to Cold Stone Creamery. Will take our business elsewhere --where staff is friendly, hospitable AND COURTEOUS. IF you happen to be a "senior"... stay away from this place, especially when "Mahalia" is working.

Worst experience ever - I did not even step foot into the store. I should actually say - "I was not allowed to step into the store" I rushed to the store and reached exactly at closing time (30 secs earlier - according to my Phone). There was a very arrogant security officer who stopped me from entering the location. The premise was the line was too long and they are supposed to close by 9:30, so we can't be let in. I tried to convince the security guard that we came from a long way and though all of my party was not in by closing time, I was. I have visited ice cream stores in over 30 countries and this is by far the worst experience. Dear Management: Ice cream stores are supposed to be a great American experience and you fall miserably short.

Cheesecake Fantasy is always my go-to! However, the fruit pieces were frozen and hurt to bite on. They should have just stuck to graham crackers and whip cream and make this delicious cheesecake ice cream even more fattening. I think I'll just stick to my own creations next time. They don't have here anymore. Even if you ask the employees about their yogurt signs plastered on their front door, they'll pretend they still don't know what you're talking about even as you step to the door and point "yo-gurt".

Cold Stone Creamery??? It's just okay for me. There is their prefix menu of ice cream with their selections or you can go custom and add items and make up your own. I usually get some sort of chocolate concoction and have been satisfied with my choices so far. For some reason or another it's just okay and didn't knock my socks off.

Terrible service. My amateur of a server had no idea what he was doing. I told him I wanted a founders favorite and he replies with what's that? That was just ridiculous. What does it take to work here? This guy was absolutely terrible. I will be taking my money over to the cold stone at pacific commons. Good riddance.

OK! this was such a bad experience that I will NEVER return and am thinking about calling the health department! The cleanliness of this store was so sub par that I almost about faced immediately. The store smelled of sour milk. followed by the dust bunnies in all corners, the inch of dust on ceiling fan, all vents, the food on all walls and work surfaces, the food containers that looked as if they had NEVER been cleaned, the cold food storage with spilled food/crumbs all over them, spider webs from the ceiling, HONESTLY this looked third world!!!!! The girls working there (however nice) three in all but when I was there where only two ( one was on a brake i am guessing) both of which handled money, cash registers etc and NEVER once washed their hands between scooping and handling food .In the 15 minutes I stood there and waited to get a scoop for my screaming daughter I witnessed so many forms of cross contamination that is there is so much ignorance to common sense of handling food. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.........OR YOU MAY JUST GET THE PLAGUE

I came to the Hub Cold Stone Ice Cream parlor on May 16, 2014 at 7:30 pm. and had a bad experience. The line was really long with only one person to serve. After about 5-10 minutes another person came out from the back room, yay! Too soon to be happy VERY SLOW! 5 minutes later someone else magically appears. I assume she is the manager. She could care less that the line was out to almost the door. She stayed in the back room. She knew they were busy because she came out twice and did nothing. Guess what! I left also and went to Baskin Robbins and had a great sundae.

We came here Saturday night after dinner. It was a hot day here in the Bay Area (the June heatwave) and the temperature was around 95 that day in Fremont. The line was basically "out the door" at this place and the service is very slow. It took about 30 minutes before we were served and many others simply walked out, while waiting. The place does not look super clean also. Perhaps the health department should pay a visit to this place.

I really used to like Cold Stone, but the customer service at this Fremont location has gone down the drain in my past few experiences here. There was a long line (standard for Cold Stone), with three people working. They had absolutely zero sense of urgency, chatting amongst themselves the whole time. One of the girls kept touching/fixing her hair, and then returning to making ice cream without washing her hands. Pretty disgusting to me. The atmosphere of this store was strange, too. No music playing, all three high school/college age people working looking absolutely miserable and pissed off/unprofessional, and I guess they don't sing for tips anymore? Just an observation. Definitely not my first choice anymore.

Love their ice cream and ice cream cakes. My favorite flavor here is the mint chocolate chip signature. Note: Fremont Hub is huge! Drove around for a while. This place is located next to the Bed Bath and Beyond.

Ice cream is good as usual, but the service here tends to suck. My ice cream always somehow ends up on the rim of my cup, never quite entering it. I have to constantly wipe up the melting residue in order to prevent my hands from becoming sticky messes.

I came here after I saw that there was a Funnel Cake here with my sister. We ordered the Strawberry Funnel cake and it was very delish! They told us the funnel cake will be ready in about 10 minutes and when it came out, it was still warm. ^___^ Topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, strawberry syrup and ice cream. Diabetes-at-risk, but hella worth it :)

  • Prakash G.

Employees unresponsive, chatting among themselves. Gives an impression of highly unhygienic, at least on the day we visited!

  • Akin B.

The ice cream is good, but the service here is bad and unsanitary. I came here on a dry 80 degree weather day desperately looking for some Ice cream. First thing I noticed, all the employees were high school kids. No problem right?!? It's a summer job. 2nd thing I noticed while waiting in line, the line was moving sloooow because the employees spent more time complaining about lazy coworkers than doing their own job!!! At this point my desperation for Ice cream has left, but my ice cream arrives. When handed to me, I just now realize it. 3) No one who works there uses gloves while serving food. That is a big Sanitary issue. I was too hungry to throw the ice cream away, but I am not coming here again.

    (1)
  • Ellie W.

I guess it's fine to come here for your ice cream. But, if you are ordering a custom cake or anything that requires them to have any form of unsupervised responsibility, I would go to another location.

I rarely give one star reviews but unfortunately my experience was deserving of less. While I have had many positive experiences with cold stone as a brand in the past, tonight this was not the case. I was at this cold stone waiting in line for over 40 minutes. When I walked in there were approximately 15 people in front of me. I waited in line for about fifteen minutes without moving forward before deciding to walk to another store in the plaza to burn some time in hopes that when I returned, the line would die down. Upon my return (about twenty minutes later) the line was in the same spot as when I had left and so I decided to wait. I understand that it was a saturday night and that they were busy however after returning for the second time It should have not taken 40 minutes to be greeted, let alone served. The night I was at this establishment, there were only two workers behind the counter with a third popping in and out but not really helping to alleviate the line. While they were understaffed for the 15-20 people who walked in, The workers were working at a very slow pace and made no additional effort to speed up or take control of the situation. They seemed defeated, burnt out, and unhappy but simply continued to work because they had to. With the line as large as it was, I would have expected a bit more hustle however the pace they were operating at was a slow crawl at best. The staff on hand was also acting in a manner that gave the impression that there was not anyone who had any pride in what they do let alone took their job seriously. To me it Seemed that they had no passion for their work and that they simply didn't care. As the the customer I did not feel like a priority. The longer I waited in line the more I noticed other patrons walking out, fed-up with waiting. With every five minutes that passed, the more people walked out and the more the customer experience suffered as a result. I can only but wonder how much money they must have lost that night due people simply leaving to go to other venues who prioritize the customer because they realize that the consumer has a choice with where they to business. To make it all worse, After about 5-10 minutes of standing in line I began to look around where I noticed it was a shamefully messy behind the counter with product lying out, trash on the floor, obscenely dirty counter space and one Victoria's secret shopping bag under the counter badly hidden. To sum it up this establishment was clearly in violation of multiple health department regulations to which I have photos to attest. To top it all off there was a bowl of dried up batter from the waffle cone press sitting out on the counter complete with whisk and all. It does not take much more than common sense to realize that if the batter in the bowl was dried solid, that it had been sitting out for a minimum of two hours. To put it politely, I would say that the management at this location clearly not doing their part and that the food service area was so dirty it was obscene. This store needs a leader who can provide clear management and effectively communicate what expectations and standards need to be upheld. And while I have had many positive experiences with multiple cold stone locations over the years, this was my first time at this particular location. The product was standard and the decor was consistent, I absolutely feel that this location gives the cold stone brand a bad name. I will not be returning.

The Strawberry Passion cake is soooooooooooooo good! The description reads "layers of moist red velvet cake, strawberry ice cream mixed with graham cracker crust and a tart layer of strawberry puree, all covered in a fluffy, strawberry frosting". Red velvet cake = moist when defrosted, tastes semi-close to red velvet (can taste the cocoa), condensed Strawberry ice cream = soft graham cracker pieces all throughout which is a nice touch, texture is very creamy Strawberry puree = where was this? Strawberry frosting = too thick, tasted too artificial, scraped it all off We didn't pre-order this puppy; just walked in, looked in the fridge to see what was available and paid $33.95 for a Medium Round (that's the size). We cut this up into 24 thin slices so that everyone at our company could have some! The cake is very high and filling so even thin was enough for each person. I would say that this cake would feed 10-12 easily with normal size pieces. I would definitely choose this place over Baskin Robbins for an ice cream cake! Well, that's if it's not for a kid. Baskin has more kiddy cake toppers and decorations.

It was late at night and my cousins and I were on a search for cupcakes! Luckily this place closed at 11pm! :) service was okay, the guy was nice enough to let us try the ice cream cupcake flavors. They only had double chocolate devotion and sweet cream available at the time. We choose the chocolate one--to my surprise, it was pretty good! Not to sweet, and the layers of different flavors and textures went well together. The cupcake was completely edible! The wrapper that would usually hold the cupcake together was a chocolate shell, 2nd layer brownie, 3rd layer chocolate ice cream and lastly, fluffy whipped frosting! I took a huge bite and it was so good! It was my first time having an ice cream cupcake! It would be great if they had more flavors available... I've had cold stone ice cream a few times, not bad. If you like creamy ice cream and enjoy mixing different candies, nuts, gummy bears (etc..) i would check this place out! I just like plain ice cream, so I'd only come here for their ice cream cakes/cupcakes.

I love ice cream and was very excited to try a new creamery. After reviewing the menu I decided on ordering Cold stone's Chocolate Devotion signature creation. How could I go wrong? Chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, brownie, and fudge. The ice cream was delicious and I have been a loyal customer ever since. Over the years I have tried many other signature creations and cakes and recommend you try them all. Amazing ice cream, great prices, and a fun atmosphere always has me coming back for more!

what ice-cream can you smell a mile away? yup, cold stone! i used to work here in high school so i know fresh ice-cream is made along with brownies and waffle cones! there are plenty of different ice-cream flavors and toppings to choose from. a few recommendations: 1) get a bigger size cup than the one you order (if you order a like it, ask to put it in a love it) melts easily 2) try the cotton candy w/ oreos! trust, it's yummy! if you tip the workers a dollar, they'll sing you a song! oompa loompa do ba de do, we'll make an ice-cream especially for you!

I've been frequenting this location for years, at LEAST a decade. And despite the long lines, I am ALWAYS beyond ecstatic when entering the glass doors. I can empathize with those mentioning the high prices considering that times are tough for nearly everyone these days. Ultimately it boils down to: YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. That's it. If you are incessantly bitching about the cost, take your broke ass to Rite Aid and eat frost-bitten ice cream. Cold Stone is badass. Watermelon Sorbet with fresh strawberries is on point! Mmmm. Birthday Cake Remix, a signature creation, is a masterpiece which can only be truly appreciated if ordered as-is from the menu; don't be a hero, don't try to recreate it with your own ingredients. The ingredients listed are juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust right. Yesterday, I wasn't in the market for Birthday Cake Remix or Watermelon Sorbet with fresh strawberries, I was on a mission for an ice cream birthday cake. The selection of ice cream cakes was vast, and all looked delicious. After making my selection, Cake Batter Confetti, I assumed I would have to wait in the typically long line only to be told by an associate that I could be rung up right away. Nice! I happily moseyed over and was asked if I wanted a message written on the cake. "Sure!" I was hoping they would, but I had no way of knowing for sure. The young gal went in the back and wrote the birthday message on the cake for me. While she was doing that, a handsome young buck by the name of Jack ever-so-graciously rang me up and assisted me. I had to contain myself because he had a smile that could make your saddest days turn bright. And after recently seeing Magic Mike in the theater, I considered telling him that he could have very well been in a starring role in that movie. Yeah, he looked THAT GOOD. ;) Great customer service, excellent quality, vast selection, and Attractive Jack, what more could you ask for in a creamery? You could ask Attractive Jack to serenade you with a melody from Snow White. And as a paying customer who also paid a tip, I got exactly what I wanted: "Hi ho, hi ho, we thank you for your dough!" Oh yes!!! The Cake Batter Confetti cake was UH-MAZE-ING!!!

This is the customer service that we get when they hire college students who have absolutely no customer service experience or care. So they are supposed to have a promotion that is that if we get the bigger size cup, then kiddie size is free or something like that. And that is why I say they have no customer service experience. Because if they had, they would have told me about the same when I had walked in to the store, many stores do that, not teling is a way of scamming. And then after purchasing when I found out and asked them, they did not try to make up anything and when I wanted to talk to the manager, he did come (another college student - surprise surprise) and started talking and making fun about me, discussing me with two other colleagues in front of other customers. A girl at the counter had the nerve to tel me that the promotion is at the door when there is none anywhere. What a scam and lie.

Just a regular creamery, but is reasonable clean and the young employees seem to be well trained and enjoy working there. Located in the Fremont Hub and parking is easy. Seems to get a lot of business. Quick service, few seating tables. Ambiance ok.

Cold Stone is definitely losing its charm though I somehow manage to end up here on a pretty regular basis. The kids who were working here the last time seemed to be having a good time though a little more focused on each other than the restaurants. The music was a little iffy too given that young kids were around.

I was actually surprised I had a good visit here, based on the other reviews. Everytime I've visited Cold Stone's, I've always had a good experience, so I don't know why I let other reviews cloud my judgment. Came in here with mother around the afternoon time for some "mother, daughter" quality time. I got the small... uhh.. I forgot what it's called. But it had sweet ice cream, pecans, brownie, and fudge, and my mother got the waffle cone coffee lover's delight. Both were DELICIOUS. The guy who helped us.. never did get his name, was a young caucasian male.. looked like he was in his early 20s, but he was extremely helpful and nice. I'm very picky when it comes to my mother, and if people are rude to her (she tends to talk too much), I get really antsy. But this guy was really nice to my mom and was laughing with her. 2 stars for you buddy! 1 star for the clean environment. 1 star for the professional service, and 1 star for the delicious ice cream! Good experience! I will be returning!

I walk inside utterly seduced by the decadent smells wafting outside. My mouth starts to salivate. My mind frantically sprints from one question to another, "What should I get? Which should I choose?" So many selections, such an indecisive pallet, only one stomach! Finally, I make a decision and I choose what I should get. I carefully make my order.... AND AGAIN, for the ump-teenth time, they mess it up. SIGH. Disappointment flows over my body like a dam that has exploded upriver. I hate cold stone now... I really liked this place when it was clean and had just opened up but now it's absolutely terrible. Is no one from Corporate monitoring this place? I feel bad saying it because the people who work here seem very nice, but that doesn't excuse the fact that they pay no attention to my order. :(

I have 2 issues with this place: 1) The employees aren't very professional. Nearly everytime I come here, they seem to care more about clowning around that the important task of making my ice cream on the fancy cold tabletop. 2) The singing. Look, if you are going to sing, at least know how to carry a damn note. And smile. Or don't sing. And can we please get a rap or r&b flavored thank you song? Not everyone listens to Miley Cyrus. Other than that, it's a good place to stop for expensive ice cream with a bunch of stuff in it.

Sometimes too many options is no fun at all! A simple single scoop is heaven amidst the clutter. Thank goodness they have faves posted on the wall or the line for ice cream could be very long. Tacky is the best I can think of to describe the ice cream here. The ice cream isn't smooth with a pure finish. Instead, there's a tacky feeling in the mouth like it's gooey. Not sure why. Blending and mixing the ice cream on a frozen marble slab is something less to be desired especially when they hand you your ice cream and it's drippy and melted. Seems my dessert is the opposite of it's name...melted so not ICE and tacky not CREAM. The novelty of this place is over.

My daughter's favorite place....you might now why by now! I love their ice cream and enjoy watching how the staff mix the ingredients chosen, my last try was with brownies and my daughter got her ice cream cone for free. I could have given them 5 stars, but this place is a little bit dirty.

Let's get to the nitty gritty on this one. I love ice cream. I want to dive in a pool of ice cream. We know Cold Stone is yummy, delicious, fattening and everything ice castles and glitter is made of. This is not that review. This review is based on my recent experience... Came here to buy my dad his annual ice cream birthday cake. This year he turned 83. Well, after picking out my cake...it took about TWENTY minutes for the girl to write "Happy Birthday Papa" on the cake in the back room. I got the cake and it looked like a 3 year old wrote the lettering. WTH?? Then, a customer gave them a tip. The girl helping them, slowly walked to the side hallway and told the girl in the back "we got a tip"... so they chanted a hollow "thank you for your tip jingle" which sounded like they were going to soon be burned at the stake at high noon. It was sad. The girl even sang while looking at the ground like she had down syndrome. It was just downright sad. The upkeep at this location isn't as pristine as some other locations.

Dude, I must be soooo old b/c my fave. CS flavor is no longer on the board!!!! The strawberry shortcake - made w/ sweet cream icecream, strawberries, yellow cake pieces, and whipped cream....*drool* So armed with a free $5 gift card, I popped in here to grab something to go. The next best signature flavor, strawberry blonde or something like that! Strawberry icecream, graham cracker pieces, strawberry puree, and whipped cream. The very nice gentleman with purple hair was the lone ranger working the crowd. For some reason, the other employee only dipped four waffle cones, and then proceeded to help one customer, then hid in the back. Uh...okay, there's a line about 5 deep lady! Anyhoo, got the medium to go size and the poor dude had to handle it by himself. He was generous w/ everything BUT the strawberry puree. That tub had to be at least 32 oz and you giving me only one sad spoonful of strawberry puree??? SAAAD. It's cool though, the guy was really polite. I walked out of the door w/ that sucker for less than $5. Tipped him a buck and change and he actually said THANKS (no tunes though). Yeah, don't order cakes here, b/c there's a sign on the register that tells employees "NO MORE CAKE ORDERS" and that it's okay to be on a waiting list. Although, those icecream cupcakes look tempting and cute!!!! Ditto w/ Sandy though, there is no a/c, hence the melted goods.

The prices are exorbitant. I ordered a to go everybody's size and they charge $13.65 including taxes. The same stuff in the coldstone in el camino real costs $10.25. When I asked why the price difference, the folks in the store mentioned that this store is owned by a different person and the prices are decided by the owner. I was told by them that I should talk to coldstone corporate about this. I thought since this is the same chain of store the price should remain the same. I am baffled seeing the huge price difference. Also the quantity of the ice-cream is much much lesser compared to the quantity I used to get from the Sunnyvale store. Avoid this store. I was also told, the same owner owns the pacific commons store and the Hayward store too.

Good grief! I've been going to Cold Stone at the Hub since my daughter was in high school. I have NEVER noticed anything of the sort cited in the negative reviews concerning the Hub Cold Stone. They serve delicious ice cream and the servers are great.

I'm not gonna write a review on the ice cream. I love Cold Stone. It's always delicious. The portions may be out of control, but I've started going bigger and saving the rest for later. Problem solved. My review is for the Cold Stone at the Fremont Hub specifically. I'm not sure why I keep going back to this location, but I'm finally ticked off enough to write a yelp review. And to get to the point, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you now that I will be driving the extra few miles to go to the Cold Stone at Auto Mall. First gripe, I went in a few weeks ago and they were out of both chocolate AND mint ice cream. What kind of ice cream place lets their supply get so low that they run out of the ONE thing they sell? Second... the tall, skinny blond girl who is "going to Cal Poly", I know more about her personal life than I do of most people I've dated. She has a habit of talking EXTRA loud so that everyone in the place can hear every detail of who she hung out with, what she did that weekend, etc. Cal Poly girl is always so absorbed in everything that is NOT Cold Stone, she has gotten my order wrong on TWO separate occasions. And I don't even know if she is charging me for what she gave me or what I asked for, because I have never been given or offered a receipt for my purchases. And today, I saw two different people put money in the tip jar, and Cal Poly girl was too oblivious to notice. Not that I like the singing, but a simple "thank you" would be nice, especially since the kids that work at this Cold Stone DO NOT deserve to be tipped. Third gripe (and I know this review is already too long), this particular location is DISGUSTING. Completely unsanitary. I do not feel comfortable patronizing this location any more because it is SO GROSS. It's like they never clean. Ever. I can only hope this location gets secret shopped, and soon.

I've had 2 incidents at this location and I've only visited this location 2 times! The first incident, the server saw a long strand of hair in the ice cream while she was mixing (she paused when she saw it which is how I also noticed it) yet continued mixing. It was obvious she had seen it because she knew exactly where it was when I confronted her about it. She didn't even have the courtesy to apologize. The second incident, the server SCRAPED all the ice cream off the mixing board, saw something in the ice cream when she stuck a spoon in it and actually took the ice cream to the back with her. About 20 seconds later she returned with the ice cream without the spoon. She had obviously spooned something out of the ice cream as there was big hole in the center. My friends and I just stood there in disbelief as she served it to me. I don't have anything against youth, I'm young myself, but I'd say you have to question whether these young kids are properly trained in food safety after such incidents. I've also always wondered how clean those mixing boards are. Definitely eat at your own risk!!

Can't go wrong with Coldstone's. Haven't had any problems with the service here. My favorite combination is Cheesecake and Cake Batter ice cream with double Graham Cracker Pie Crust mix-in. Try it sometime!

1 star for all the choices you get from the flavors of the ice creams to the other accoutrements that eventually gets mashed into said ice creams (oreos, nuts, crushed candy bars etc...) The combinations are overwhelming! Minus 1 star for the ice cream being nothing but frozen COOL WHIP. Nasty texture in the mouth, like there are more stabilizers in the ice cream than there are milk or cream. I'm sure it's due to the fact that the kids have to mash and mold it, and if it were good quality creamy ice cream it would be a lot messier. So basically they're working with edible frozen playdough. 1 star for being a (seemingly) cool place to work for a peppy teenager who must be willing to ham it up in song and dance, every time cash enters their tip jar. Minus 1 star for all the times where the show seems a bit forced and is seriously lacking enthusiasm. Sometimes it's downright painful. As an adult I'd give them 2 stars total b/c the novelty here is greater than the quality of their product. But in all honesty I have to give them an extra star for all the smiles they put on little kids faces every time one walks into a Cold Stone. I know, I'm a softie, but don't tell anyone or else I'd have to kill ya.

I've came here 5 times and the last 2 incidents they didn't have milk for my milkshake. They didn't train the new guy behind the counter very good because he kept asking the girl next to him what should I put in it now. How hard is it to make a smoothie?. I bought 2 smoothies which had no flavor, I took a couple sips and threw it away. I'll just find another Cold Stone.

Why is it that every time I come here I get melted ice cream smashed into a cup that's too small? That happened again today. As the guy made my ice cream he handed it over and it was already melted and oozing down the sides, by the time I was outside it was running down my hand. I'm not sure why the ice creams consistency is like this but it sucks. It sorta angered me and I almost went back for my money. Typically I bring it home and set it in the freezer for about 20 min to help it set. By then its edible rather than sticking a straw in my cup and drinking it like a milkshake. Plus its supposed to be an ice cream shop, so why is it so hot in there? It was hot inside and much cooler outside! Place seems overpriced for what they sell and I can get more quality ice cream that's not all melted from Baskin Robbins.

I like ice cream as much as the next person. I used to really like Coldstone Creamery but the last time I was at the Hub location I found a hair in my ice cream. A really long hair that was wound around the toppings and deep into the ice cream. Grossed me out so much I haven't been back to any of the stores. This was a year ago. Good for my diet, bad for business! I say, quit the really bad singing and start wearing hair nets. Eat at your own risk.

Chocolicious! Top joint for icecreams. I especially dig the chocolate devotion. I order it with no choco chips and extra brownie instead, which along with the fudge looks like a delightful volcanic eruption. The best!

I rarely crave ice cream but when I do, Cold Stone is here to provide me my favorite mix, chocolate devotion!! Yummy! I was really craving for something sweet, cold, and chocolate last night so I came here with the bf of course. We just got the like it size even though the love it size was only 50 cents more! But I'm glad we stuck to the smaller size because they really give you a pretty generous portion. I always see everyone getting their own but I have no idea how anyone ever finishes these on their own. My chocolate devotion is made with chocolate ice cream, fudge, brownie, and almonds. The chocolate devotion normally comes with chocolate chips but we like to substitute it for almonds because we don't like how the chips stick to our teeth and how they're hard to eat. The ice cream is normally melting by the time we get the cup which is one of the downsides of them smashing it so much. But the ice cream mix is soooo good. The ice cream is so creamy and smooth and all the toppings just really hit the spot! Also, their cakes are really yummy too. The prices for these aren't too shabby at all. I've had their petite ($7.99) sized cakes, which is good to feed two people but I would say it feeds about 3 or even 4 if everyone doesn't care for gigantic slices. I've also ordered the 6 inch sized cakes (~$27.99 if you create your own mix) and they say it feeds up to 8, but honestly, their calculations are based on 2 inch slices, which is a bit much for most people. In any case, with their cakes, you can create you own mix, which is a great option.

Coffee Lovers is the best you can do with all the rest. Yum. Seriously some math geek did a study and said it would take like 4 lifetimes before one could try every possible combination they offer. Stick with what you know once you have one you like. They also have Italian Ices, Sorbets, and Yogurt for those who want something lighter.

Shhhhh... I'll let you in on a secret. You can get a free "Love It" (med sized) ice cream on your birthday if you sign up on the website. The employees here dont make you feel cheap about using the coupon either.

The ice cream was super-sweet, and otherwise flavorless. I think little kids would like it because they don't know the difference, but this is not grown-up ice cream. Ugh.

Huh, I remember going to a few cold stones in LA and loving the place. Even though the ice cream was waaaaaaaaay too rich I still couldn't resist but oddly today I went in this one and got myself a rocky road one and it wasn't so good. Very very odd. I was sad and kinda disappointed. The actual ice cream was icy and not creamy. The girl who helped me out was nice.. at least they had that going for them. All I can hope is with all that added water making the ice cream icy will decrease the fat I consumed. HA . If I'm in the area again which I most likely will be cause I'm always at the hub I'd give it another go. I mean geez, it is ice cream no matter how they mash it.. and ice cream is yummy! mmmmmm mmmmm goood.. woohoo.. just thinking about it makes me want to give it another go.. haha.. kidding.. well kinda

Why, oh why must they sing? The ice cream is delicious, and there are lots of choices, but the workers are overall too perky. "Hey guys, we got a tip!" And then they all burst into song. This is why I never, ever, tip at Cold Stone.

Too heavy of ice cream. I refer to it as diabetes in a cup.. I still prefer Thifty's ice cream over this.. ooohhh nostalgia!

What is there to decide? Either you love or hate ice cream. With so many options, I couldn't decide on what to get. As my turn was up, I just shouted out, "At The Cocoa Banana Cabana, uhhhh, in a waffle cone." I must say, it was a wise decision. The chunks of banana mixed in with the yellow cake was fabuloso, providing a good balance to bring the level of sweetness down. That hit the spot for the night, or at least until 1a.m. comes around.

coldstone is way overrated! their ice cream is really expensive, and the icecream itself doesn't taste so good. the only cool thing is the different toppings they can smoosh in it., but i'd rather buy a carton of dreyers and whatever toppings i want, and smoosh it all together myself..

  • Angela H.

Thank you Coldstone, for being there on a hot, sunny day so that I may enjoy a "Founder's Favorite" while I wandered around Bed, Bath, and Beyond helping my sister look for bathroom sets. You saved me from hunger, since I hadn't had lunch and the chunks of brownie and pecan in my ice cream were delicious. Your ice cream was smooth and creamy, and best of all, there was no line when I went in.

I was here on 5/16/2014 at 7:15 in a line of 10 people in front of me. There was only girl helping. Approx 8 minutes later another girl showed up from the back. The line was still getting longer. I saw what I thought was the manager coming out a couple of times but went back to the back room. She saw the line but never stayed to help. About 15 minutes later I left with 8 people still in front of me. POOR SERVICE. I will never go back to this place again.

I need some ice cream, I get some here. It sucks that the business is right next to the dumpsters from the store behind them. Three big dumpsters, so the smell comes into the store and to the seating outside. I suggest you take the ice cream to g or for a walk once you get it. The girls there are great and happy and work their butts off. Also get the cold stone cards from Costco to save a few bucks.
