AMAZING Walked in with a very upset tummy from traveling and the cat hooked up a Ginger smoothie w a Yin Yang salad. Perfection. The gluten free scones also saved me! This place rocks. Food was on point and the prices were fantastic. Wish there was one in Brooklyn!

I LOVE this place!! One of my favorites. Deana & Chauncy are wonderful people with a gift of making food creations. The specials change daily and are all sooo good and affordable! I think $7.50 for lunch special. You don't need to be plant based to eat here. There is something for everyone. Organic! GMO FREE. High Quality, Fresh, Good Freaking FOOOD! Smoothies, Coffee drinks, Tea, Fresh Squeezed juices, Salads, Wraps, Specials, Deserts

How have I not already written a review for this place?! Since my first trip there, I have been addicted and go as often as I can. The Ancient Roots and the Veggie Cobb salads are my favorite. And every special I've tried has been great. All the food has been amazingly fresh. The smoothies are reasonably priced for the quality and taste, especially compared to other places in town. Try ordering the Hyper Monkey! ;-) And last, but certainly not least, the owners are SO friendly. Parking across the street in the garage is free is you're there for less than an hour, so do yourself a favor and go visit Urban Fresh!

Clean! Friendly! Raw food options. .. wraps/salads/fresh juice and smoothies all made to order...Wonderful hope this is a new trend in the way we do business :) Pricey $$ but seems to be family owned and opperated by people who care very much for our community and support local growers at the same time purchasing the best ingredents avilable keeping your health in mind. This is an extremely healthy choice for everyone involved.... I would treat myself at least bi-weekly if it were in my budget- and feel good about it too!!! Finally a business that is not only out for their selish gain... Please support them while you support your very own health! You are worth it! Tucson is worth it!

Holy kale their food is good! The new creations have been so fresh and creative and flavorful....and today my husband brought me their vegan Benedict and I was blown away! Slow food that is hearty, healthy, all house made and most importantly free of cruelty....Tucson needs this place!

I just skipped breakfast and was looking for a quick bite while running errands down town. I have been veg for going on 15 years. I had no idea this vegan place existed! The food is amazing! So flavorful and beautiful! The staff is very warm and welcoming! I have a new favorite place!

URBAN FRESH is OPEN for business AGAIN! The new hours are 8 am to 3 pm, so you can enjoy a VEGAN breakfast or lunch. The new owners, Chauncey and Dana Padilla, are very considerate and caring about satisfying their customers. They have a healthy and delicious selection of entrees and beverages and you can get free parking for an hour at the Scott Ave. parking garage.

Stopped in here completely by chance while passing through on our drive from Austin to San Francisco. We had a baby in tow, who was warmly greeted and immediately offered a treat of his own. For ourselves, we ordered the shiitake mushroom soup, which tasted fresh and really delicious. We also got a smoothie to share - I've forgotten the name - maybe "Ginger Snap"? It was also delicious - tasted of fresh nutmeg and cinnamon. Delicious, simple, fresh food and very friendly people working there. Great place to stop for lunch.

Sorry guys, I really feel bad when I have to give a bad review, but I'm disappointed. This place has good intentions, but we had an epic smoothie fail here. We ordered an Aztec Warrior smoothie, maca, cacao, etc. and requested the addition of a green powder, which is a fairly reasonable request. I've added green powders or spirulina to a smoothie with success many times. Though they were happy to accommodate the request, this seemed to throw them off. The $7 smoothie we ordered was warm, thick to the point of being undrinkable and SOUR-- probably the almond milk had gone bad? I even tried salvaging the smoothie by adding the $3 coconut water that we purchased but in the end it was a waste of $10 and inedible. I've made a lot of smoothies in my life and really it's not that hard guys. If you blend it too long it gets warm. If you don't put enough liquid in it, it will be too thick. If you don't taste it before you serve it to the customer and you don't really quite know what you're doing, things could go terribly wrong. These guys are still figuring it out. Keep trying!

I love this place! Raw, Vegan, Fresh and close to where I live. They offer freshly pressed green juices and healthy, diabetic friendly smoothies too. I'm not diabetic but love food that isn't loaded with sugar or a lot of high sugar fruit. So UF is my go to place for a quick bite or a juice during the week. The staff is friendly and very helpful. A great place to feel like family (like Cheers). Whenever I go in I see other customers I recognize and we always chat a bit. So fun. I highly recommend going in. The owner Kathy also offers classes on Saturdays for anyone interested in knowing more about how to make healthy, quick food.

I'm so happy that Urban Fresh is Downtown. It's off the main drag of Congress so there are a lot less cars right outside which is nice. Their Raw-Vegan offering are excellent, and cooked vegan options are perfect for someone transitioning to a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle (and are looking for comfort-style foods). I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY juice bar in all of Tucson that offers organic produce for freshly squeezed juice! The parking can be a challenge on a weekday if you don't live downtown. But if you work downtown and need a quick breakfast or lunch option this is THE place! They have fresh raw foods and superfood smoothies which is an added bonus!

Owner and staff are very sweet and friendly. I had a wrap and a pressed juice and they were both delicious. Prices are high but that is because you are getting great ingredients. Wish it was open on the weekends! Overall a fantastic and healthy place to eat downtown.

Urban Fresh needs longer hours, because I'd be here almost every day. My body would appreciate the breath of fresh vegan air compared to the not-so-healthy (but delicious) foods I consume regularly. I grabbed lunch here with a friend who was also a first time Urban Fresh-er. She settled on a salad and I tried the baked ziti. I know salads and wraps are their signatures but I couldn't pass up on pasta. With cheese. Lots of cheese. The ziti came with a flavorful tomato sauce and was stuffed with tofu cheese. I didn't even know tofu cheese existed but it was a pleasant surprise. Great texture (ricotta-like) with light flavor but just the right amount of salt. I also ordered a fruity iced tea whose type escapes me but it was phenomenal. I will definitely have to be back!

Great place for all dietary needs, vegan or not! So delicious I really enjoy their goddess wrap.

Urban Fresh is so fresh you can small the ginger and lemongrass and carrots as you walk in. This downtown vegan eatery is easily the best in town. It's clear the owners know what they're doing. From smoothies to juice, to crisp salads, wraps and baked goods, there's plenty to choose from. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but it's definitely nice to switch things up and pack some real nutritional value into a meal. I'd like to return for a cooking class. The service is a little confusing. They have a menu but really, most things are packaged to go, which kind of takes away from the restaurant experience. I also find it wasteful to use so much plastic/take out boxes. I'd come back for a light, healthy and fresh lunch.

To-go salads and wraps, fresh juices, ready soups - Great lunch spot! At first, I thought it was a bit of an odd place, what with all the sprouts and beans and other vegan-y stuff. But after a few trips here, I can't get enough!

The flavor here is OUTRAGEOUSLY good! Why not the 5 stars? I am not a fan of the hours...I am dying for either better hours or for them to open up a more cozy place to serve actual dinner plate meals. Also, I don't like that they are so green yet it very much has the cafeteria feel and I dislike all of the plastic to go container stuff. They were out of something that I ordered and I was offered that they would whip me up something else that I would enjoy and ENJOY I did. MAN, I would gladly spend money at this place on a regular basis if I was able to make the hours. Please open a second location that is less cafeteria style!!!! You don't need to be a veg or vegan to enjoy this food...SO GOOD!

Using the highest quality ingredients with thoughtfully prepared, delicious food and drinks, you can't go wrong here. I had the sloppy joe special with coleslaw and loved it! The BBQ flavor was excellent and the savory and meaty combination made me crave each new bite. Cool and sweet coleslaw had a tangy zip for a perfect counterpoint.

Fresh, well seasoned vegan fare with flare. You won't regret it. We split a wrap, salad and Green Machine Smoothie. I feel ready to face the day with optimum health.

This place is awesome! Green goddess is the way to go! Best vegan snack and juice bar I've been to in a long while. We moved, hopefully I can find a place like this in Portland.

DUUUUUUUDE, what can I say about Urban Fresh? I love this place. It's a cute, little place perfect for a quick lunch or picking something up to go. I usually make my lunch because it's somewhat difficult to accommodate a gluten-free, vegan lifestyle when you're looking for something quick and easy. But this place does exactly that! I love their Lovin' Greens smoothie (lots of greens, but still manages to taste good!) And I love all the salads--I think I've tried most of them. The food is fresh, vegan and full of REAL vegetables, not a bunch of weird imitation meat and dairy products. Even if you aren't vegan, raw, gluten-free, the flavors and freshness of the food is worth coming here!

Amaaazing!! As a non-vegetarian I was a bit skeptical of this place at first, I mean how good could it be right? WRONG. I am a total convert. The wraps and specials are BURSTING with flavor and are filling in a way that vegetarian/vegan food has never been for me. The green goddess and Mediterranean wraps are wonderfully flavorful and satisfying. The other items on the regular menu (which include several other wraps and salad options) are equally delicious and healthy, as are the daily specials which are always delightfully inventive; noodle bowls, spicy Stromboli, veggie burgers and more are generously portioned, and satisfy the taste buds while leaving you feeling healthily nourished rather than uncomfortably stuffed. They also have fresh juices and smoothies, pressed and blended to order, as well as tasty vegan brownies and cookies. The perfect place for a downtown lunch, eat inside, on the patio, or grab it to eat at your desk.

I just stopped in for a quick bite and had the chili. The chili was OK ( I do not like cinnamon in my chili), but I felt $4 was a little pricey for such a small serving. I understand they are a niche restaurant, but the chili has no meat. They must be making like $3.25 profit. Even though, I think this place is a great addition to Downtown Tucson and I see them filling a niche that is much needed. I am just looking forward to the day when I can go in and grab a $3 juice in the morning.

Just ate there for the first time today. The food was great and the price was cheap. I will definitely see myself coming back here again. It was a quick drive from my work at the University and parking was great. Don't let the bad review below fool you (because of parking), there is an entire garage just right across the street from Urban Fresh that has free parking for the first hour. I had the chilli and ended my meal with a smoothie to go, it was by far the best fresh made smoothie I've had in town so far.

This place is amazing! All the ingredients are uber fresh and the wrap flavor a were very diverse. I am a vegetarian and my dad is not, yet we were both satisfied! The Pad Thai wrap and the Rainforest Purple Haze are to die for! Not to mention that the owner/chef Chauncey was extremely nice and made us feel at home. When I wanted to switch a juice flavor, he gladly did that with no charge. I was impressed with the entire experience and will be coming back for more!

I ate here today when I was in the area for a meeting. The owner was super nice and explained the menu to us, and gave us some good recommendations. I had the shiitake mushroom soup with the south of the border wrap. It was so good that I went back later for a tropical cream smoothie. I loved everything and would definitely go back!

I am sure that carnivores would not realize they were eating vegan food as it is so delicious and flavorful. The BBQ sloppy joe is so yummy! Mmmm....I'm drooling just thinking about it. The desserts, oh the desserts.....brownies, cookies.... not a one I didn't like.

I'm increasing my review after revisiting Urban Fresh after a change in ownership. I love Chauncey and the new "flavor" of the place. The menu is still confusing, though.

I love this place.. I've been frequently stopping in 2-3x a week for lunch depending on whether or not I packed my own homemade lunch that morning.. I've tried a variety of things here so far.. from their wraps, salads, daily specials, and desserts Salads: My favorites include the contents in their ying and yang salad *minus the noodles on top.. I really didnt like the texture of those* their vibe alive salad *minus the dressing I will sub that for something else.. since I really hate sweet dressings Wraps: Their taco wrap is delicious and so are their rainbow wraps. Desserts: Their brownies are baked w/ applesauce.. super moist and delicious. Not traditionally sweet.. so they are my top favorite baked goods here. Their lemon bar w/ strawberry sauce was good although it was just a little too "flour-y" for me.. of course their coconut/mango/papaya pudding... my favorite Smoothies/and drinks Their vanilly willy smoothie is my top favorite.. I substitute protein powder w/ dates though, and their vegan 8 is super delicious although sadly I finish that drink off way to quickly... Funky Munkey sub coconut milk w/ coffee = hyper monkey = =D =D =D Specials that vary: Their specials are what keep me on my toes, today their lentil loaf w/ spicy kale + brown rice pilaf was exceptional.. and so was their mango carrot chai smoothie .... sooo delicious and so filling, but in a good way. I can seriously eat bucketfuls of their sauteed spicy kale. I also liked the lasagna they offered sometime last week... I never ever feel weighed down after eating lunch from Urban Fresh. Thanks to Kathy and the staff here for always being so friendly, flexible and helping me make great healthy food choices in such a delicious easy way!

This place is amazing! First time ever trying a vegan place and expectations were blown away. I had the lovin green smoothie and added mango it was delicious. I also ordered their Mediterranean wrap which was also incredible. Cute little place to relax and enjoy your food. The people there were very friendly and welcoming. They had my try an all raw cheesecake which was the best thing I have ever tried, it had a hint of coconut and made it just too great. Overall just an amazing place to eat. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Tuscan.

It's open again! Same menu, new owners. They are being trained by the previous owners on how to make all the same items. Just had a great veggie chili and a green goddess wrap in a collard green. Yum.

The salads are healthy, fresh, and delicious and ready to grab and go if you're looking for a quick working lunch. Especially delicious salad dressings. Awesome gluten-free baked goods like sweet potato scones, banana bread, and cookies. The new owners are really friendly and helpful (as were the old owners) and their new earlier hours mean I can stop by before work.

Delicious wraps and smoothies! It's really hard to prepare vegan and the owners have done a magnificent job. Highly recommend... Even if your not vegan.

Super reasonable prices for this well educated / run place. They know their shit and are implementing it. Starving on a road trip and almost caved to eat some comfort food - glad I swung by this place first. Sloppy joe was on point AF Green Juice could have been more potent/ less sweet but then again I'm a pretentious coastalite

Today was my first time back since they re-opened under new ownership and it's just as fabulous as ever! I had the Yin and Yang salad, which was superb, and my mom really enjoyed their weekly special, the Pad Thai wrap. They are thinking of putting the wrap on the regular menu, and I hope they do! When you get to the counter, you are offered a sample of their iced tea and the soup of the day. Both were delicious. We got to talk briefly to the new owners, Dana and Chauncey, and I think they are going to have great success here. Even though they are new to the restaurant business, they were well-taught by the previous owners and obviously value superior customer service. The patio outside is shady and should be more-or-less comfortable even on the hottest days.

I loved the idea of this restaurant, which terrified me...natural and delectable don't always go hand in hand. I was a little discombobulated when I walked in; I was behind a vagrant gentleman (or maybe a college student...sometimes it's hard to tell) who staggered past the welcoming potted blooms and immediately claimed one of the outside tables along with his back pack. Do I sit down, too? Order at the counter? Make a run for it? Decisions... I saw some wraps in a refrigerator case, grabbed one that looked like it met my dietary preferences - vegetarian but nothing too obscure - and headed to the counter. I was greeted by the friendly owner who rang me up and sent me on my way. The cost was around $10, which makes sense given the wholesome, organic nature of the ingredients. I must have arrived just in the nick of time - around 11:55 AM - because as I departed the line was already out the door. Back at my work space, conveniently located right next door for the week, I dug into the South of the Border Wrap, which contained black beans, mushrooms, green chiles, red salsa, lettuce and guacamole, bound together by a red pepper chipotle tortilla. I know this because it said so right on the container. Otherwise, I'd be telling you, "it...umm...had delicious veggies and stuff with the best and only spicy tortilla that I've ever had." This was one of a handful of lunches that didn't make me yearn for chicken or cow. It's so rewarding to dine on fare that makes me feel good about myself afterwards. MINOR UPDATE: I originally gave Urban Fresh four stars, but when I went back a couple of days later - in the morning, before the lunch rush - the cashier gave me a total run-down of the business and let me know about vegan boot camp classes held every Saturday. I'm totally diggin' this place!
