Yum Yum Yum I got the tart yogurt and a few fruit flavors, all were very good, tart was the best. They have "homemade" cookie dough as a topping which was stupendous. Also comes with a plastic spoon of a color of your choice. The interior is cool and comfortable and I would hangout there if I had the time. I'm not super into frozen yogurt but this place is better than other places I've been in tucson.

Fruit is not fresh & yogurt is runny

This is my favorite do it yoursefl yogurt place in town. I can always find at least one flavor that I really like, like cake batter or cookies and cream, and the toppings bar has a huge variety. I think the price is close to other places - between 39-42 cents an ounce. It might work out to cost a bit more than going someplace where they decide how much you get of what - but I love to layer my toppings and yogurt, and decide the proportions. I love to drizzle hot fudge on top of it all and let it get melty. And they do have a punch card option, although I can't say why it wasn't offered to other reviewers. I have a full one waiting to be used later this week. The orange place on the NW side of town closed, probably because they were so miserly with samples, so maybe we will get a U-Swirl up in that neighborhood.

Just opened so we stopped in to give it a try. Pretty much just average. Tried 3 flavors coconut, cheesecake and cake batter. After the first couple bites they all tasted pretty much the same. The coconut was pretty icey, cake batter was runny and the cheesecake had the best texture but not much flavor. I grew up with TCBY fro yo and miss them, especially the white chocolate flavor.

If you've convinced yourself that eating frozen yogurt instead of real ice cream is the secret to keeping you out of Lane Bryant a little longer, this is your dessert shop. Superior flavor and texture compared to BTO. Despite my preference for a good gellato or high milkfat ice-cream, there is something to be said for taking the topping situation into your own hands and not being charged separately for each one.

They have lots of different flavors and do a pretty good job at matching up some so you can combine them. Plenty of toppings - Fruit, nuts cookies, gummies and several different sauces.

This place is just awesome. Clean place with lots of seating. The people who work there are super friendly and the flavors are actually really great. There are a ton of toppings to select from. The atmosphere it is absolutely vibrant. I saw a lot of happy families with kids walk in and the place glows with bright colors. I think the prices are ok and I will definitely stop by again.

It's hard to come up with something to complain about when it comes to frozen yogurt. I mean, really? What's great about U-Swirl is that they always have a variety of flavors that apparently changes on a daily basis. I imagine they keep the staple flavors there every day such as tart, chocolate, and maybe vanilla, but everything else is a gamble. The "swirl" concept comes into play when they pair up two flavors and you can mix/swirl them together by selecting a certain handle, rather than the individual flavor. Fun idea, but that means you have to trust their judgement of mixing those two flavors together, and I can't relinquish that much control over my fro-yo. This is serious business people! I'm a girl who knows what she likes, and you can guarantee that my cup will be filled with chocolate and tart. End of story! Oh, did I mention they give out taste cups to try the flavors out before you commit ; ) As for the people that complain about the price, obviously they give you large cups because they want you to fill that thing up! It's brilliant on their part because most people don't consider how much it could add up costing and think about how much a kid would fill it up if the parent wasn't supervision. Money! It goes by weight per oz and it's 39 cents an oz, which I think is a good deal because you get to pick how much you want, rather than a set price for a set amount like with ice cream. Just be wise about everything you add because they have a ton of delicious toppings to add that suck you in like gummy bears, fruit, syrups, etc. and quickly make the cost rise. Not only do they have yummy fro-yo, but they have a large venue to sit down and enjoy it while you chat with your friends. It's better than get your yogurt and get out, sort of thing.

Pros: Great topping selection. The fruit is always fresh and tasty. The variety of flavors is impressive. Clean and bright inside. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Cons: The yogurt here seems to melt into a watery mess more quickly than other yogurt places I've tried. A few of the fruit sorbets seem overly sweet to me. But, that is more a personal preference and not a deal breaker. All in all, I enjoy coming here and will be back!

I can't say enough about the decor! I love it! It's 50s futuristic, it's random and fun. The music is always upbeat and good when I come in. This is a great summer spot! $0.41 per oz of summer goodness in a variety of flavors and textures! Fruits, candy, stuff I could not identify on every oddly good flavor imaginable! As far as the service.. Well it's a teenager working for prolly minimum wage.. What can you really expect.. The place is clean and they are all as friendly as the next teenager.. It has my 5 year olds approval.. Tho that's not hard if anything with chocolate chips are involved.

It's your typical self-serve froyo place, but I'll give them that their flavor options are greater than others. When I went in, they had a "flavor of the month" going on about pecan praline. It was so good! I've never had anything like it before. It's been hours since I've had it and I'm still thinking about how well they nailed that flavor. Their other flavors (I tried a few with their small paper cups they give you to taste around) are what you'll find in other places. If you're looking for something with a more fruity flavor, their pomegranate raspberry was quite delightful. Not too zingy, but still had the flavor there to let you know what was going on inside your mouth. The atmosphere is quite nice, as well. I went in with a group of 7, and we all fit rather comfortably on a crescent padded sitting area. There are other padded seats inside, and outside they have several chairs and small tables for you to enjoy. Fun place.

I like this place. It's fun. Once you walk in, there are tons of places to sit. Towards the back is where the beginning of the FROYO experience begins. You pick a cup and then you'll see tons of flavors to pick. There's everything from cake batter to pomegranate. Then, you're bombarded by tons of fresh and fun toppings. They have everything from raspberries to gummy bears. My only bone to pick with them is that they are pretty expensive. You are charged by the ounce. All in all, this place is pretty cool with a ton of choices. Now that it's hotter than Satans as*hole outside, this place is great to beat the heat!

I have a real soft-spot for frozen yogurt, and this was the best I'd had in a long time. Great flavors, great toppings, and really nice people working there. My biggest problem was I was torn between two different flavor combos that wouldn't have mixed well with each other. I should have bought two cups.

Nice range of toppings. I especially liked the chopped nuts - some were roasted. The roasted coconut was delicious. I like their reward system - each cup gets a stamp. 10 stamps and you get a free one - easy and clear. They do not expire. Plenty of yogurt choices in a range of flavors.

U-swirl is one of the musts when we're in the area, and service is always pleasant. We went in tonight and service was anything but pleasant. When I asked an employee for a sample tonight he looked at me like i was stupid sighed and said yea, comes back with a handful of "sample cups" and told me that if I wanted more sample cups that they were up front. I left feeling like I was a burden to him even though he is the one who has the job and is paid to help me. Even though they had my two favorite flavors cake batter and red velvet, and that it was double punch Tuesday, service ruined this review thanks to the guy in the uniform and glasses. Bravo.

U-Swirl isn't my favorite froyo place in Tucson, but it is conveniently located so I go there fairly often when I am in town. It doesn't have my favorite tasting yogurt, or my favorite toppings, and the parking lot can get really busy... While it isn't the absolute best, U-Swirl does have everything I really need from a froyo place: a decent variety of flavors and lots of different toppings at a decent price. The shop is kept clean and the employees have always had a smile when I have been there. I do like the shell toppings, I just wish U-Swirl offered mochi bits! And boba! I will still continue to visit from time to time but it may be a while before my punch card gets filled.

Dear Frozen Yogurt, You are the celery of deserts, be ice cream or be nothing, I give you zero stars.

  • Marika K.

I tried most of their flavors and my favorite was the peanut butter cup along with their cheesecake flavor. They were dead-on. They have a ton of toppings to choose from including fresh fruit and boba. The tart flavor is typically one of my favorites, but I prefer Pinkberry's and Tutti Fruitti's.

Every once in a while, as I'm minding my own business and living life, I encounter a totally random, unexpected, pleasant experience. Going to U-Swirl was one of those pleasant experiences I wasn't expecting. In a place of eatery there are a few things I look for: clean environment and nice ambiance, good food, good service, and reasonable prices. (Sounds easy but it's amazing how often it doesn't happen) This place had all of the above! There were comfy chairs to sit on and chat. They have several flavors available and even offer free samples to help you decide which one you want. They charge by weight and also have all kinds of toppings available to add on. They give a stamp card that you can use to get free yogurt in the future. My favorite part-- the really friendly staff who work there who gave excellent customer service! Overall a good experience and we'll be back :-)

I've never had a problem here. Every time I go for my yogurt there's hardly any people. It's always nice and clean :) I really love going in here because the place looks awesome, especially because of the colors. The yogurt is also soooo good, my favorite is always the pomegranate and mixing it with mango, and I go crazy with the add-ons and I'm happy they added some flavor poppin boba!!! :D

Best frozen yogurt in Tucson hands down going to be a senior at U of A and have been going there since my freshman year. It has the best yogurt and toppings selection. I will never go anywhere else for frozen yogurt.

Love how many different flavors they have, including no sugar added flavors and coconut (which is one of my favorites). It was nice and clean when I went in, and I felt comfortable sitting and enjoying my yogurt.

This is by far my favorite frozen yogurt in Tucson. Not only is it cheap (39 cents per ounce), they have a punch card as well! For the past month now, I've been going to U-Swirl with my friends on every Tuesday (Tuesday is their double punch day). They have a huge selection of flavors to chose from, as well as the toppings. They also have cute spoons with a their U-Swirl logo on top, if that makes any sense. I just love the atmosphere of the shop. The customer service is great, their workers are always joyful and upbeat. The workers are also constantly cleaning the store, so you know that the place is nice and sanitary! :)

This is your typical modern froyo joint. Nothing spectacular but a couple of things stood out from the other places I've been that I appreciated. There were various comfortable seating options and also free water is available. Others I've been to only sell bottles. As far as the froyo goes, the options are similar to other places but there are plenty of them! It was also reasonably priced.

U-Swirl takes frozen yogurt seriously. And I love them for it. I'll go to other yogurt places and always leave feeling underwhelmed - not here. The yogurt is smooth and flavorful. I got cheesecake (back by popular demand - had to try it), toffee, cake batter/birthday cake, and turtle. Seriously, I couldn't stop. But all were delicious! Top it with cookie dough and Oreo cookies. The cookie dough was ridiculously soft - not the hard nuggets you usually get. The staff used little paint brushes to keep the topping station clean and each item was stocked full - despite the line of 20 10-year-olds in front of us. Impressive. I'll make the drive here before going to another do-it-yourself yogurt place. Well done, U-Swirl!

Really good frozen yogurt with tons of flavors. The shop itself is fun and inviting with the bright decor and upbeat dancing music. I appreciated the ability to sample several flavors before making a decision. I also appreciated the several gluten free and soy free choices. Definitely a hot spot for frozen yogurt lovers!

One has to be hard pressed to leave U-Swirl without a smile on their face. The reason is in the design of their experience: when you enter there's literally nothing required of you except to pick up a bowl and start dispensing your custom yogurt choices. This is so user-friendly and fun the simplicity of it all may be overlooked by grown-ups on first glance but can't be missed by a 6-year-old. Suffice to say its a terrific place for kids of all ages. Even better is their selection of delicious and unexpected new flavors every time I've visited along with some basic flavors for those who want to save their adventurous appetites for the toppings. This is the 2nd stage of fun: offering not just Reeses, M&M's and hot fudge, but fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries and mango, which can really bring out the flavor in the frozen yogurt - provided you paired wisely :-). This brings me to the 3rd stage: the goal is to extract the best yogurt/topping combinations and biggest flavor without ever going overboard and grossing yourself out - not always an easy endeavor on your first attempt but coming back you learn quickly as you develop your combo-perfecting palette. One tip: pricing is based on weight, and that includes the little cookies that are in a tray toward the end of the line. My first time here I foolishly considered these to be complimentary and took a bite. When I got to the scale I was promptly admonished by the guy behind the counter who suggested that next time I exercise a little patience and weigh it on the scale before I begin eating. You see? Even with grown-ups this place can bring out the 6-year-old in all of us. :-)

This place has pretty good frozen yogurt, and a nice variety of flavors and toppings. The only strange thing on our visit, though, was the employees had half the toppings out of the bins and placed on the back counter while they were cleaning out underneath the bins. So we were standing there trying to figure out if they were closing and we were too late - but it was 1 1/2 hours before closing. There were a bunch of people behind us in line too. I don't think my kids got all the toppings they wanted because of this, but I'm assuming it was just a weird timing issue. Otherwise the product was good.

Haven't been a big fan of frozen yogurt but this place is pretty good. I love how fresh their fruits are and I'm surprised on how many choices of fruit and toppings they have. Over all great place great vibe. Plus free wifi and comfy couches!

Well, heck. What's not to like about another frozen yogurt shop in town? Dropped in today for the first time, needing a pick-me-up after seeing "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", and was very impressed with what I saw and more importantly, what I ate. I love how you march right by all the yogurt flavor servers, and then hit the toppings table, and then finally, get a chance to add a some liquid toppings. The seating choices are very comfortable and inviting. Love those couches and foot stools. We'll be back and soon!

Ok I have an obsession with frozen yogurt or "froyo" as the kids call it these days. I have unfortunately been to every place in town more than once, and u swirl is the best. They have the best toppings and great flavors. Their tart is by far the best. Fresh fruit is a must and they are always stocked. The owners are wonderful and the staff is perky. Get your plastic spoons out and dig in!

    (5)
  • Amanda V.

Great variety of flavors. And you can get the swirl, mix of two which is unique from other froyo places. Just wish their fruit was fresh, not from frozen bags. You could tell b/c they were mushy and soft (ie strawberries). They also have a friendly staff. Their tart is almost perfect, its my fave flavor. Only a few places really get it right...I won't mention who but they're in Cali. UPDATE: they now cut their own strawberries...I think.

  • Nicky P.

lots of choices... but the coconut and graham cracker signs were swapped. oops! lots of options for toppings... sitting area was a bit dirty, but there was only one person working, so hard to do everything..

The first time I went there I didn't know to go light, and I paid for it. Last time I felt that I held back and it was still over five dollars. My friend said it was because I got fruit, I guess you can't win for trying. Overall the product is good. The place is clean and the employees are cheerful. I don't remember what I got the first time, but it was something with chocolate. This time I got cheesecake yogurt and raspberry/ pomegranate (I think) Sorbet with fresh fruit and white chocolate chips. I kept telling my friend that I made good choices, because it was amazing. Just remember: 39 cents a ounce adds up fast.

So my husband and I have a dilemma. The chicken or the egg? To me, U-Swirl is the place to go if you value the quality of toppings over the importance of the yogurt. Lots of choices, really fresh, and the yogurt is nice, light, and refreshing. It tastes more icey rather than milky but the good thing is its not heavy. I prefer U-Swirl for the freshness. Will definitely have to come back!

First off, between people leaving J C Penney and Burlington stores, the Panda Express and In-N-Out drive throughs, along with general mall traffic, I felt like I was taking my life into my own hands trying to get out of the parking lot. Fortunately, I survived to write my review. Heed the warnings - you fill up your cup with as many different flavors (that change daily) as you want, load up the toppings, plop it on the scale and fork over your dough. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach or if you don't watch your child picking their toppings you may leave with an empty wallet. The cheapo in me wondered aloud, "I wonder if they take the weight of the cup into account when they weigh or am I paying $.39 an ounce for that cup?" I am sure I looked every bit the cheapo with a dollop of watermelon sorbet, with no toppings, in the bottom of this cup, of which they only had one size - HUGE. I really just wanted to taste the yogurt by itself, which was really good. The liquid left in the bottom of my cup from the sorbet melting tasted just like watermelon juice. It was very refreshing. My wife got the vanilla yogurt and topped it so it was like a banana split. She said she liked it a lot and said we would have to come back. The nice cool yogurt and the bright, clean, comfortable surroundings are the perfect way to battle the summer heat in Tucson. Their slogan is "It's Worth the Weight". That may or may not be true. You will have to survive the parking lot to find out.

Tastes fabulous, fresh choices, free samples, and a good price. Plus a punch card!!! I could not ask for any more. I'm a sucker for those toppings and I have a big ol' sweet tooth, but the frozen yogurt itself also tastes so dang good that I find myself slowly approaching topping-less yogurt, and just putting stuff on out of obligation because of how good the choices all look. This is a shop rife with battling personal decisions as you go through the line, but aside from the chaotic internal struggles, it's one of the best frozen yogurt joints in the city. Also a big plus that the location is so extremely convenient and by everything you could need.

We tried U Swirl tonight after an awful dinner elsewhere in town. It was good, but not unique. When you walk in, it looks very, very similar to another popular frozen yogurt place in town. It's nice, but not unique at this point. I wish there were sample cups around, or someone to offer one, but alas, no one was around except for cashiers who were busy. So, I only tried one flavor, which was very good, but there were a few other I would have liked to try out. Maybe another night. Onto the toppings. Holy toppings! They definitely have more options than other places. Lots of tasty stuff to personalize your yogurt with. You can make basically anything you crave here. The only real gripe is that it was sorta messy. Kids clearly had just been through the place and no staff had yet cleaned it. Leaning over some else's mess or having someone else's yogurt on the topping spoon is slightly annoying. Overall, I would recommend U Swirl to anyone!

After indulging in some spicy Mexican on a hot Tucson day, frozen yogurt was exactly what I needed. I noticed the U-Swirl had just opened and decided to give it a try. Wow! Not only is the restaurant very modern and aesthetically interesting, with lots of comfy seating, the frozen yogurt is phenomenal. There are two sizes of cups to choose from, big and huge. Then you have to make the most important decision of all - what flavor(s) of froyo to choose! They don't make it easy, with 12 different flavors ranging from raspberry to Reese's peanut butter. The topping bar seemed extensive and well-organized. I decided to try three flavors - Reese's peanut butter, cookies and cream, and chocolate. They were all great. I loved the texture of the froyo, which didnt suffer from the iciness/ grittiness you find at other yogurt shops. U-Swirl froyo is really thick and creamy. I probably got too much, not anticipating how thick and filling it would be! The standout flavor was definitely the Reese's peanut butter, which had so much flavor. I didn't even need toppings to enjoy it! Another cool thing about U-Swirl is their Frequent Swirler Card, which entitles you to a free cup after you buy 9. I can see this place becoming popular with the after-lunch crowd and people frequenting the El Con movie theater nearby. I will definitely be ditching the "other" fro yo place in favor of U-Swirl, which has the same hours, better fro yo, and a cooler atmosphere. Highly recommended for all fro yo lovers one and all!

GOOD. They have good solid flavors that they change constantly and many toppings to put on top. Their space is big and bright and just endorphin-inducing so it is great for if we just want to relax, eat some froyo, and chat. One plus is that it's in a great center: you can watch a movie, grab lunch, shop at Target, and then come here for a sweet treat (what more can a college kid want?!). Froyo is served by the ounce, and is .39 cents/oz. A bit expensive if you tend to get a lot but much better than the most popular froyo place by campus. Bonus is that they have pretty much unlimited coupons for students for free 5 oz. froyos. Such a win :D

For those who haven't been...this is what you do. 1. Get a cup, usually placed before the yogurt wall. 2. Pick a yogurt flavor. If you don't know what flavor, there are mini cups next to the cashier, get a handful of them and test the flavors out! 3. When retrieving your yogurt, you DO NOT have to fill the cup up. The prices range upon how much your cup weighs at the end. 4. Pick your toppings. They have syrups, candy, nuts, cookies, cereals... etc...etc. 5. place your cup on the weigh station and pay up! =) 6. Enjoy. There's not much to say about this specific location. The yogurts do change from time to time, but for the most part they are consistent with the flavors. It's a great place to meet and talk to friends or family. It's very spacious and hip and happening! The atmosphere is fun and light as well. I would say it's the new place to meet people to "hang out" and "catch up" on life!

Mmmm... nothing is better than froyo on a Saturday night. Like many other froyo places (BTO, Campus Candy, Allegro Gellato, Frost, etc. even though the last two are gellato places), U-Swirl is decked out in orange, green, and blue neon decor and mosaic tiles of the turquoise variety. I'm not sure why these colours are so popular at frozen dessert places. Perhaps they induce costumers to be desirous of these delectable desserts. Actually, I think the colour palette creates a nice ambience to dine in (rather than grabbing a cup to go) such that the costumer does not simply have an ephemeral experience, but one with lasting, pleasant froyo memories. I could be reading too much into this common taste in interior decoration though. Regardless, the froyo here is delicious and it's not as packed as BTO. Service at U-Swirl is extremely helpful, and I also like that each soft-serve station has some nutritious info about each flavour to guide those who are health conscious. It's location next to Target and the theatres also makes it convenient to simply stop by before or after a grocery run or watching a movie.

Love this place! They have a wide selection of flavors and toppings and great if you want a healthy indulgence. They display nutrition content on each sign and best of all, the yogurts are delicious! Also, I really like the central location as well.

What can you say about a frozen yogurt place that you server yourself. Other than always try not fill your cup too full or you will have to pay the mega bucks for your treat. If they had regular pomegranate I would have given them 5 stars but they had a sorbet which was all right but not what I wanted. The place was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful if we wanted to try a sample. I will definitely head over there again!

It's true- this place is pretty amazing. After a monster long distance swim on the first 100 degree day of 2012, I proclaimed my need for frozen yogurt as soon as I pulled myself out of the water and burned my feet on the sizzling pool deck. I didn't see the sign for samples until after I'd made my selections (that seems a little backwards, but I understand their protectiveness of the sample cups). I had a great combo of cake batter, vanilla and chocolate (I don't tend to go for the fruity flavors) with butterscotch chips on top. My other half went for the no sugar added vanilla and pecan praline which was good (He had to let me try it- it's The Rules). Minus one start for not being offered a punch card upon check out and the fruit section of their toppings bar was looking a little sad. It wasn't busy at all so having it look that way seemed kind of on the slacker side.

My first experience with U-Swirl was after a padres game. It was a buy one, get one deal that was offered for attending. There wasn't any flavors that I enjoyed. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cake batter, cookies n creme, cheesecake, peach and mango were amongst the few. Tart has always been a favorite with most of my friends and I dont recall that flavor. Toppings looked freshly cut and always filled up. I got vanilla and my usual toppigs but I didn't find my favorite (mochi balls). Its been almost a year since I've return from my first visit. Believing my first experience was close to their grand opening, that maybe now they have upgraded or adjusted to demands. Also, most yogurt places change some of their flavors every few weeks. Again, I didnt fid any flavors I liked, even sampled ones I normally would't get. Tart is usually a basic yogurt flavor that they didnt have..... again. They had more topping variety that I usually dont see at other yogurt places; animal crackers, different chopped candies and cereal. They had so many syrups : caramel, hot fudge, chocolate, strawberry, marshmallow. I was impressed. As I was getting my yogurt and toppings one of the employee standing right in front of the toppings counter was picking up topping pieces and popping them in his mouth! I'll stop right here.

Best in town, hands down! Best selection and fresh fruit topping- not frozen and then put out for display. I love this place!

I was really excited to get my frozen yogurt fix when I walked into U-Swirl. The place looked really nice and had a lot of sitting areas. I also noticed that they have more flavors and a lot more toppings to choose from. What I didn't LOVE was that most of the fruit flavors were not all that creamy. The texture was more like a sorbet. All the flavors are really good though, and my all time favorite is the original/tart. The service is really good, they offer as many samples as you want. Thaw reason why they didn't get more stars is because of the texture, but it is a nice place to sit down and enjoy good frozen yogurt.

Okay ...I just found the best yogurt in Tucson and I hope one will open in my neighborhood because El Con Mall is not exactly convenient for me! But, it may be worth the drive. The shop has little sampling cups to narrow down your choices though from the several I tasted all of them are probably delicious. I could not settle for just one flavor so I had three in my cup. This place is self serve so you can take as much or as little of any yogurt you want and there are about 20 to choose from. Next comes the decisions of which toppings to add. They have a wide and tempting variety! I tried to be somewhat healthy and the array of fresh berries and nuts won me over. On another day I may go for all the gummy bears, sour patch treats and chocolate bar names too numerous to mention. My cup was getting full and the end of the line was approaching when I noticed people placing their creations on a scale! Hum, come to find out it's sold by the pound which sounds really fair and reasonable...which mine was. Can't wait to go back! Thanks U-Swirl. Oh yes, the place was clean, the crew friendly and there were empty seats to look outside and people watch while enjoying this fun dish of yogurt. I don't recommend trying to eat this while driving! Stay put!

U-Swirl was the second stop on my teacher gift card spree. Like many yogurt places they took advantage of my poor visual spatial skills with those gigantic cups. I even know not to fill them and I still end up with way too much. If I'm going to eat that much sugar, I'd just as soon eat ice cream. Of course, I won't knock a yogurt place for not being ice cream. It's fine for what it is. They chose having a variety of flavors over having a few high quality ones. It's sort of fun to try a bunch of flavors and toppings and I love pretty much any sugary junk food, but it's nothing special.

Quick Review: Best Fro-Yo place in Tucson! Long review: I am beyond thrilled that I have finally found a good Froyo place in Tucson. Love the taste and consistency of the yogurt and the fact that they have a good variety of flavors. The coconut I had this weekend was to die for! -1 star for the small range of toppings. More exotic and fresh fruits would be nice! When I went on Saturday, their fresh fruit selection was very sparse and some options were empty. Yogurtland has lychee. :) All in all, this will be my go to place for Froyo when I can't make it to Phoenix to get my Yogurtland fix.

Best frozen yogurt place in Tucson. They have the best variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. I personally love the red velvet with strawberries, coconut, waffle cone pieces and fudge.

I hate writing this review probably as much as you hate reading it. Another yogurt shop? Ugh, stick a plastic spoon in my eye! But I have to say, the two flavors I tried were much better than any other fro-your-own yogurt shop in town - MUCH better. This place actually reminds me of an awesome little joint near the Scottsdale office that Gabi, Lindsey and I will head to for a midday treat. Rich flavor without that watery taste like another popular shop in town that may or may not be located on Speedway. The place wasn't as clean as I would have liked - drips here and there and sticky counter residue, but all in all a much better alternative than anything else I've tasted in town. (And can we talk for a minute about why every do it yourself yogurt place is COVERED in brightly colored glass tile! I mean really, if you are out of work, sell tile to the dozens of these places sprouting up and you could make a killing!) Know Before You Go: Just get the small cup, you don't need 64 ounces of yogurt no matter how "good for you" it is.

Delicious frozen yogurt. Request a small sample cup to prefect your choices prior to committing. I went with red velvet, cheesecake, and cake batter- a trio of cakes. Everything was delicious and the toppings were fresh and full of variety. Don't forget to save space for the sauces! I will definitely go back. I paid 3.03 for a nice size cup of a variety of flavors and toppings. The frozen yogurt was creamy and smooth.

Cool little yogurt place. Cool deco !!! Very mod. Yogurt was good !!!! Nice selections. Only thing I don't like is the set up of where you get the yogurt. Gets congested when a few people are trying to get a taste of the different yogurt. Other than that Great !!! Except I still think 39 cents a once is pretty pricy !!!!!

Best fro-yo in Tucson to date! Staff is friendly, location is spotless, and plenty of flavors and toppings to stifle anyone's craving. I've been here 2 times already and cant get enough. May I recommend the pineapple...fro-yogasmic!

I have been awaiting the opening of U-Swirl and was eager to try it as soon as it opened. When I arrived, the place was bright and clean and welcoming. Entering, I was immediately asked by an employee if I wanted any samples. It seemed he was going to give me as many samples as I wanted, but I only took 2. I tried the Cake Batter and the Reese's flavors. They were absolutely delicious. What I liked about this place was they had low-fat and fat-free choices as well and underneath each flavor was the information regarding if it was low-fat or fat-free, which is very helpful for customers. They had a good assortment of flavor choices, but I choose to only get 2 flavors max since too many in one cup might be too much. As for toppings, they had a great assortment. I personally like mochi cake balls (Japanese marshmallow-like textured cakes) and fruit, but they have a lot of toppings to choose from. I also liked how the place had a domed lid that you can put over your bowl if you were taking it to-go. They charge you by weight, so just be aware when you go loading up your cup. This place is very similar to Tutti Frutti yogurt, but I like that they had more fat-free/low-fat options. Compared to places like Red Mango, this doesn't quite stack up. I really enjoy Red Mango, but since there isn't one in Tucson...yet, I will stick with U-Swirl.

There is something about the cool couches, chairs and foot stools in their frozen-yogurt-proof fabric that makes me want to hang out longer than necessary. A great selection of yummy froyo and yummy toppings .. a winning combination!

U-Swirl. Is it worth the weight? Not this trip, it wasn't. I liked the lay out of the store but I was overwhelmed by making a decision, when there is 18 flavors (crazy!). So I took the huge cup and went wild by getting five flavors. I'm not kidding! My cup had coconut, huckleberry, tart, orange sorbet, and pomegranate raspberry sorbet. The yogurt is 39 cents per ounce (avg fro yo price) but somehow I spent $5! I blame it on the fact that I had to choose between 18 flavors. I went flavor crazy! The fro yo was good but not as good as a fro yo place with Pink in the name. It was better than other serve yourself by the ounce places in T-town. The fruit toppings looked pretty but did not taste right. I had kiwi and it was so unpleasant that I didn't eat it. They also don't have my favorite fro yo topping- Mochi!! I asked for it and was told that it isn't kosher so they are unable to offer it (they're kosher certified). Next time, no toppings for me and I'm limiting myself to three flavors max!

Went here on Saturday afternoon. When we walked in the staff asked us if we needed help, Yes! Ok Cory? Walked us through what the process was, asked if we wanted to try some samples, always a plus. Hey I am willing to pay a little more for a dessert that I get to pick how much and what toppings I want. Place is very clean, staff very helpful. It is the opposite of Burlington Coat factory if you face Broadway.

U-Swirl now gets five stars. Tonight we went and I remembered that I'd filled up my frozen yogurt punch card and it was time for a free one. So up to the counter we went with our two cups of yogurt. Since they added up to being under 16 oz they were both free! Apparently the free 16 oz cup of yogurt the card talks about is all about total weight and not number of cups. Amazing!! And the toppings and yogurt choices are all still delicious. I recommend Irish Mint with some toasted coconut on top. Delicious.

The frozen yogurt isn't the greatest all the time. There are some days when it's the thickest, creamiest stuff in the world. It's always when the flavors are limited edition or brand new -- the Nutella flavor was by far the best frozen yogurt I've ever had, anywhere. The toppings are always full, and the best ones are always super well-stocked. What really gets me about this place is the service. The staff are always so cheery and friendly, they're so quick to clean up messes and little spills on the toppings tray, and they're just really pleasant. I used to pop by after work a lot to grab some, and the girls there even remembered me. Just the other day, I mentioned to the young guy that I'd lost my card, and he put three stamps on with a cheeky, "I'm sorry for you loss." I loved it! Made me smile. This is one of my favorite spots in Tucson, because I always know I'll walk away a happy customer.

Bravo.

  • Mariya D.

  • Jessica L.

Best frozen yogurt place in Tucson. They have the best variety of flavors and toppings to choose from. I personally love the red velvet with strawberries, coconut, waffle cone pieces and fudge.

Delicious.
