Food is ok - most likely a majority of Sysco supplied stock. Doesn't taste bad by any means, it just doesn't taste fresh or from scratch. Service is great and quick. Decor is really tacky - it's like your old spinster aunt who is obsessed with chickens decorated it. It clashes with the waitstaff who all wear University of Arizona t-shirts. Inspired by this, I ordered The Wildcat breakfast. It was good, but again, nothing special. All in all, the whole experience was really only one step above going to IHOP.

The remodel of this Good Egg is exactly what was needed. I've always loved eating breakfast here and this new remodel takes the restaurant to a whole new level. Its farmhouse chic with new everything (tables, plates, lighting, etc,). I ordered the lumberjack skillet with two over easy eggs on top and a English muffin for the side. It was so filling. Every bite was filled will meat, bell pepper, onions... It was perfectly balanced. Definitely a go to item if you're wanting to stock up on protein for the day because this item is filled with all different meat like sausage and ham. This is probably the best item on the menu for carnivores! The only reason why I gave the rating 4 instead of 5 was the service. Now I hate when waitresses are really pushy and check on you almost every bite, but I still enjoy someone coming to make sure my drink is filled up every now and then. The waitress was good enough-- no major complaints. I just wish I was checked up on a tiny bit more. I hate having an empty glass for half of my meal. I'm sure this is in part to how busy the place always is on weekends, but just something to be aware of!

The new decor is really new and fresh......it ain't your mother's Good Egg any more. The menu also received a revamp to some more healthier options. I'll definitely be back. Only draw back is the that the "pancake of the month" is a thing of the past :/

This is basically what happens if Denny's would give a sh*t about their customers and food. You get a decent breakfast, with good service, in a comforting environment. They have an assortment of breakfast choices, from your South of the boarder, to your Out in he Country, to your Fit in the City, to Sweets pastries and pancakes. You can't really go wrong if breakfast is what you are craving. I always says this... if my hashbrowns are crispy, my toast is nice and crisp and buttered, my eggs are runny, and my bacon is crispy.. you're doing real well.

Really nice breakfast joint in Tucson. Not a wait at all on a Saturday morning as this is a pretty large place. Had the veggie scramble with over medium eggs and it was delish...potatoes were crispy but not burned and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Son had the pancake and bacon and it was a ton of food and all really good. Seems like there are s number of different locations but certainly would be a go-to place for me.

Came here on Memorial Day at around 8:30am for breakfast. Our party of 5 was seated right away in a big circle corner table (bonus: we were near an outlet so I could charge my phone!) There were a fair amount of people already in the restaurant, but our waiter was very attentive. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which were decent. The corn tortillas started falling apart a little toward the end, and the salsa was a bit too spicy for me, but they were still good. My bf ordered the veggie scramble, which had lots of veggies like he was promised and was very healthy. The portions weren't huge, like you'll find at some breakfast places. A person could easily finish his or her own entree. Also, the waiter offered us extra hot sauces which weren't on the table. We were about to embark on a long drive, so I brought my empty coffee tumbler to fill up and there were lots of creamers available to choose from. The food was a little on the pricey side at about $10-$12 each, but the food was good.

I've always really liked the Good Egg. They've recently redocorated to give it a more current feel. This place can be pretty crowded on the weekends so expect a 20 minute or so wait. They have ginormous pancakes that they offer with whole wheat batter and they offer turey sausage. A lot of new health conscious menu items that I am all for. It's nothing fancy here at the Good Egg, but it's a good time with some good eats.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, many healthy options and the carafe of coffee left at your table is a great idea. I wish there was a option like this where I live.

Positives: -great customer service -great food -great ambience Came here in a Sunday morning for brunch. Had the Veggie skillet because I wanted to be healthy. Price was 7.59. Food came at a reasonable time. Waitress was very nice and friendly. She brought extra salsa for us to put on our food. My skillet was very good. I felt great after eating it, which is normally not the case after I have a large breakfast. Everyone else's food looked great, as well. Good sized portions. Loved the small, warm restaurant ambience. Giving this 4 stars because I thought that overall it was very good, although it's not like it knocked my socks off. Bottom line: Great place to come with a group of people after church for breakfast. Reasonable prices, good food, and great service and ambience. I wouldn't mind coming back again.

First time, had the huevos rancheros food was good but could be great if it came out hot instead of cool. My waitress was very patient helpful and friendly. This is a perfect place for families there's plenty of space and little ones get Cheerios and apples!

I really liked the atmosphere and friendliness of th staff. The portions are fair, I've definitely had bigger skillets other places, but I was sufficiently full after leaving. We went at about 11am on a Saturday and didn't have any wait, just sat at the "bar" where we were immediately helped. We will definitely be back!

The Good Egg Crossroads I went to this location for brunch on a Saturday it was around 12:00 noon. I was eating with a friend and her daughter. When we stepped inside we were asked to wait. There weren't any other people waiting. When we were taken back to our table a few minutes later most of the tables we passed were empty. I don't understand why they made us wait. They even pulled out the wait list and asked me for my name. Once we were at the table I ordered an iced tea and water. Other Good Egg locations put water pitchers and coffee carafes on the table. This is one of my favorite things at The Good Egg, but this location didn't give us a pitcher. The service wasn't particularly friendly or good. Other reviewers have said they were given a child's plate of snacks. We weren't offered anything even though we were eating with a cranky one-year-old. I ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes. For $7.59 I just got two pancakes without any meat or eggs. The pancakes do have some special ingredients but nothing substantial. I think these pancakes were a bit overpriced and I think they forgot the whip cream on my order. I won't order the pineapple upside down pancakes again. My friend ordered a Bacado omelet and she said it was good. When we were ready to leave I wasn't offered a to-go cup of tea. Again, these little service details, what I like about the Good Egg, didn't seem to be in practice at this location. Overall, I would say that based on my previous experience, I like the Good Egg, but judging from this most recent visit, I don't like this location.

I have always loved Good Egg, especially this location. Yesterday, when I went in, they had redone the whole restaurant. I did not like it at all, it was very plain and open. I used to like the way the restaurant looked before-with the yellow wall paper and home style feel to it. I'm not sure why it even needed to be redone-it was so cute before, even other people have said the same to me. Anyway, it wasn't just the looks that I had a bad experience with. I ordered an omelet and it came out cold, it was even warm at all-and I'm not one to tell a server if something isn't good. Also, I can't have butter for my dietary reasons, and my English muffin was slathered with it. Another thing I noticed was that there were bugs everywhere. There was a grasshopper on the floor, bugs inside the curtain next to me, and another bug crawling on the floor next to our table. I'm not one to complain about a bad experience, but this one I had was one of the worst. Besides the bad experience, our server was great-no complains there :)

Not too bad for a breakfast place. I had the bananas Elvis and my fiancé had the French toast and my mom in law had the avocado toast with braised eggs. Will def go there again!

Worst experience ever. Too bad because the food was awesome. We actually talked about how we should go here more often because the food is so good.... We jinxed it. We never saw our waiter again after he dropped off our food. We waited 20 minutes for our check, still no sign of our waiter. So we went to the front where we tried to pay. The cashier was what I'm assuming was the manager. According to our receipt it was Kathi. She put her hand out for our check, when we said we never got one because the waiter never came back she was unphased. "Well what table were you sitting at?" I have no idea. I don't work here. I would guess table 32 but I don't know. We tried to describe where the table was and she looked it up in the computer and asked what we ordered. Then I asked for a to go water which good egg always offers! She didn't like that. Then we signed the receipt and filled it out wrong so filled out the second copy and signed on the line. "Oh. Did you take my copy?" My husband had crumpled it up in his pocket so I told her we messed it up and filled out the second copy. My husband and I both work in restaurants and know it doesn't matter what copy the guest takes.... "It matters to us. I need that copy".

My family and I used to call this the Bad Egg... we were just not impressed. The food is average at the best, the service was meh, and the price for what we got... ridiculous. Granted, I understand not everyone appreciates the divey, grungy b-fast spots like I do but at least they have amazing food and decent prices! Their food was bland and underwhelming, best to skip this place.

Great eggs benedict! Had take out today because I really wanted eggs Benedict and my husband got them for me, they really hit the spot! Really nice hollandaise sauce. The place looked packed but the service was very good and speedy since we were not eating in. Want to go back and eat there to get the full experience.

Food is great. Wifi is disappointing. The main reason I go here is so I can work and use the wifi. Defeats the purpose if the wifi isn't working. I came to this location all the way from Ina Rd. because the wifi at the location on Oracle is always down. Now this Good Egg too?! SUPER disappointing. Perk: ALL of the servers are super nice here!

I have been coming to this Good Egg location for many years. The food is great and the service is excellent. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. Today (9/13/14) I asked for the July 2014 strawberry shortcake sweet treat and my server was nice enough to make me one. That is great service!

Having not eaten at The Egg in years, I'd forgotten how long the wait and good the food can be. Our experience was pleasant, our parting was a bit less so... The mixed crowd waited in droves. Hanging off the concrete balcony and slouched in every available waiting room seat. We were told "20 minutes" and it was, exactly, a 20 minute wait. I applaud the hosting staff on their ability to predict--a rarity in the world of restaurants. I was not as happy with one particular hostess's show of preference. I requested a glass of water while waiting and while she agreed to bring me one, it never came. Five minutes later, a very good looking younger man requested a glass of water. The hostess retrieved it with immediacy. I swooped in as she was handing it to him and said, "That's mine, right?" Oooohhh, was she mad. I ruined that little love-connection. Soon after, we were sat. Our waitress was adorable, honest, and quick!. She suggested the specials, vetoed something she thought rank, and brought us a pitcher of tea and a pitcher of water. We were happy. Both Matt and I opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich special: Two grilled chicken breasts with a delicious sweet coleslaw, tossed in buffalo sauce and served with a mini-bowl of salad and a slice of delicious dill pickle. It hit the brunchy spot! Gustavo had the Mexicali burro with grilled chicken. At first look, he was a little freaked out upon delivery. The vibrant orange of the florescent tortilla really had his Mexican blood boiling. But, he gave it a go and ended up thinking it delicious. He said a few hours ago: "I'd really like another one... The burro was filled with spinach, grilled onions and peppers, potatoes (he thinks...) and a light, tangy salsa. It was served with savory spiced black beans and topped off with guacamole and sour cream. I didn't even get to try a bite! We ate, we drank, the server brought us to go drinks and we were on our way out, walking by the kitchen when I heard someone therein exclaim "lets try and keep track of all of the flies that attack us today!" And, a lot of familiar laughter. I was disgusted. Nothing like ruining a good meal... Maybe reel in that extra chatter management. I'm not certain I want to share a kitchen with insects in such quantity that they deserve their own peanut gallery...

Been here once and haven't come back since. I have read a lot of good reviews for this place but here's my two cents i ordered their egg whites with 7 veggies. I know having ordered this because of their low cal and healthy servings i shouldn't expect good tasting fare. This one is bland so i have to put a lot of salsa and ketchup in it for added taste. The veggies they put in there is cold so the omellete is soggy and watery. Their orange juice though taste good and the server is very attentive. I might come back here again to give it a second chance, but it might take awhile.

Had eggs benedicct. Enjoyed, but was terribly salty. Service was great. Friendly, helpful waitress. Offered us glasses of water to go as part of their service. Great for someone travelling. Beautiful view of shopping center and mountains out the window.

Worst Biscuits and Gravy ever! Suggestion: only 2 biscuits, more gravy....not 4 stacked biscuits with some gravy. Oh also work on the gravy recipe....

Wooden benches. 3 people. $50 breakfast. REALLY?! My pancake platter came w/2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon & 2 average sized pancakes. Any special add-on's to these pancakes (nuts, toppings, etc.) cost me 50cents each). This "pancake" breakfast ended up costing me over $11! In other words IHOP is just as good and would've cost 1/2 as much. I will not be returning.

The Good Egg offers a wide variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch items. They are fine with substitutions and their unfiltered apple juice is great. Their service is always excellent and they really go out of their way to accommodate families and children.

Um, I ADORE this place. Do to convenience, we always go to the location on Grant. I believe I have been four times now and each time the service was great...even if they are ridiculously busy on a Sunday morning. So, yeah, the service rocks. The food is delicious and they put calorie content next to everything so I can know exactly what I am getting my booty into (I choose to ignore the fact that there isn't a fat content). They also offer coffee, water, tea or soda to-go. Yes please!!!

    (5)
  • Erica E.

As a Good Egg go-er, I have to write yet another great review! I haven't been to the Grant location in quite a while but nothing has changed! Same great food and smiling staff. I love how consistent The Good Egg is when it comes to their menu; the omelettes are cooked just right every time. The fruits and veggies are always fresh which any health nut can appreciate! It will remain my fav breakfast place.

I've been to three of the Good Eggs in town. I love their breakfast. The service is usually good. It's a great place for meeting or a nice breakfast date with your loved one. Be warned: Bring two stomachs because they will give you a lot of food. Great place to go to.

Outstanding service here in Tucson. I mean outstanding and the food was wonderful. You know its kinda pricey but you get what you pay for and it was worth it. Banana Pancakes were outstanding and the manager walked around to tables making sure our experience was great. NOW that's how to lead a team. Well Done!

Good Egg = Good Breakfast!! I am normally not a breakfast lover; however, I found Good Egg to have one of the tastiest breakfasts. I came here with a friend and my sister (who loves loves loves breakfast). This was actually my second time coming here and the only breakfast place my friend always recommends. All three of us agreed that the food was tasty. For a non-breakfast lover, I will definitely put this place on top of my list for breakfast restaurant. We ordered the Biscuit and Gravy w/ country potatoes ($7.50); Corn beef hash w/ eggs, english muffin, & country potatoes ($7.95); and one slice of French Toast w/ butter and strawberry jam ($2.95). Everything was amazing. I especially loved the Corn Beef Hash! I thought the French Toast was good; however, others thought it was good but they tasted better. The Biscuit and Gravy tasted like biscuit and gravy. I love biscuit and gravy so my stomach gave it two thumbs up. Overall, the meals were all great! Good portion. The menu has a large variety of breakfast meals. It was difficult for me to even choose what to eat. The price is reasonable for the amount of food that they give. The service was fantastic. Our waitress kept coming over every time to assist us and ask us if we needed anything else. Good Egg is in the same plaza as Bed Bath and Beyond. It is right across from there. The interior decor has a nice homey atmosphere to it. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast!

This is a good breakfast/lunch restaurant. my family eats there often. Occasionally, there are problems. However, when we have an issue it was promptly resolved. The service is typically good. The food is consistently good. NOTE: The Good Egg restaurants in Tucson tend to be slower than the ones in the Valley of the Sun. The also have the best incentive stamp card program I have experienced in Arizona.

  • Neil E.

Came here for breakfast based on Yelp reviews. This is a "it's a good place" three stars, not an "it's an awful place" three stars. Everything was fine. The coffee was fine. The pancake was fine. The eggs were fine. The bacon was fine. But that's the trouble: it was just fine. Nothing spectacular. Same breakfast quality you can get just about anywhere. By the way, what is the deal with hashbrowns in Arizona!? C'mon people. They are supposed to be shredded potatoes that are super greasy, not these hideously dry cubes that are fried. Geez!!!

You can never go wrong with the Good Egg. The breakfasts here are filling and tasty. The service is always top notch. The wait can be awhile depending on when you go. The berry blintzes are to die for. The nurse biali is also another favorite. Plenty to choose from. Great restaurant!

  • Kristina W.

I'm blown away by the amount of 5 star reviews on here! I mean... it was just fine. I kind of hate breakfast joints like this so I suppose my basis of comparison being Village Inn or Denny's the Good Egg was great. Okay, I'm going to give them four stars... but I really felt like three. Aharon loved it though, and helped to eat my leftover eggs Benedict. Come to think of it his blueberry pancakes were pretty good, but I only got a bite. Mostly I hated the screaming baby, but our very attentive server made it seem a little better. Not really my cup o'tea, but this place was just fine. For a menu so large I had an incredibly hard time finding something I wanted. If you're going to have crepes (not to mention a menu larger than I could even take in) you should have Nutella. THAT would have turned me right around. PRO TIP; Eggs Benedict kind of weak sauce, like literally. If you're a hollandaise fan you may want to steer clear.

  • Andy H.

Well, big surprise, it's called the good egg and it's good. Stuff I get: wildcat scramble, eye opener combo, old pueblo skillet. You might find it's a standard place and nothing special. I give it 4 stars anyway because it's a go-to place. You can get a coffee to go if you get coffee at the table, or, you can get a water to go. Get a water because the cups are huge. You'll need your hand truck to roll it out. You can throw it on your water cooler later.

This location is by far the best of all The Good Egg locations in AZ. It is totally funny bc most of their serving staff is made up of college kids and they are by far more personable and efficient than the "lifer" aged servers you see in Phoenix Good Eggs. The food here is delicious, the flavored coffee of the day always leaves me craving the next time I can come, and they have plenty of space for waiting. A+ staff and food.... oooh Tucson Good Egg I miss you!

  • Jodi M.

The Good Egg has to be one of my favorite breakfast places in Tucson. It is huge and they have such a great variety of stuff, even if your a healthy one. I would always get the Eye Opener Combo (even though I never once finished it) with two pancakes, eggs, and bacon for less than $8.Their pancakes are delish, with tons of toppings to choose from and you have choice of wheat batter if you prefer. I loved getting chocolate chips and pecans in mine...simply perfection:) Even though the place is huge, on the weekends there is usually a wait so get there early! Great by yourself or in a big group.

I really love going to The Good Egg. They have an extensive menu to suit all diet preferences. If you are a workout junkie you can have protein powder added to some of your dishes. If you are a calorie counter, they have a light menu to suit your needs as well. The coffee never disappoints either.

I usually love this restaurant, but we went in for a late brunch and the service was terrible. Though we were there well over an hour before close, they were rushing us out the door from the moment we arrived. Our waitress was curt, and completely messed up our order. She was then very rude when we asked her to fix it. They brought the plates back a few seconds later, and little had been fixed. She was so short with us, it wasn't worth asking her to fix it again. When we left and went to pay the bill, the hostess was standing at the register with her purse on her shoulder (closing time was still 30 minutes away), and she practically flattened my two year old on her way out the door once she'd rung us up. I will never go back to this location again. The food was terrible this afternoon. It's unfortunate.

This type of breakfast restaurant suits many appetites. The location we were at was crowded on an early Sunday AM. However, it is not my kind of breakfast place. I am more of a greasy spoon type that serves quality food. This place is almost the opposite....all looks and little substance. Way too cute and lacking in soul.

visited the good egg saturday morning. we were not blown away by our breakfast. we both had egg white omelets and they come with a side of country potatoes and english muffin toast. i ordered mine with spinach, sausage, bell peppers, and cheese. Mr h had the same ingredients in his omelet as mine except his had ham instead of sausage. it's an OK choice for breakfast if you are in Tucson. the staff is helpful and friendly and the servers offered us complimentary water with lemon or coffee to go... that is a nice touch! overall i would give it a 3.5..The breakfast was above average at the good egg but definitely not four stars.

I love breakfast food ,and this spot has really good breakfast food ,and not because the word egg is in the name . And believe me they serve alot more than just eggs. The french toast is huge ,so if you order some you better be hungry. I left there full and satisfied. The price was very reasonable. And the service was the best....

I've heard people rave about this place, so I finally buckled down and went there. Despite tons of people milling about on a Sunday, we only waited for twenty minutes, and the service was great. The food was good. I wish they stayed open later so I didn't have to get up to go!

First review although we've Been to good egg probably 2 dozen times! What more can be said? It's just consistently good service, food and cozy country atmosphere; With healthier , lighter options over greasy spoon joints (not that they certainly don't also have they're place in our hearts!) we've been to good egg more than any restaurant and have never been disappointed.

This place is pretty good...but not great. I appreciate that you can customize orders. I'm a picky breakfast eater (I don't like eggs!), but they always substitute for me with no problem. On the downside - the food is just "pretty good" but nothing special. They make a huge deal about their giant cinnamon rolls, but I thought the roll wasn't very good. They drown it with icing and caramel so ANYTHING with icing & caramel tastes good, but when you actually taste the roll itself its rather tasteless. Kind of like a piece of bread with icing and caramel on top. They do offer free coffee outside when there's a wait, which is a nice touch. This place is alright, but just don't expect to be blown away.

We went here for lunch after loving their Broadway location and were somewhat let down. I ordered a breakfast (so I could get their delicious pancakes) and halfway through the plate I unfortunately found a hair in my eggs. I calmly pointed it out to our waitress and she took my plate and brought me a brand new meal, even though I had already finished the pancakes. The scrambled eggs were really nothing special-I could have lived without them but it was a very nice effort and at the end of the meal, we realized we didn't get charged for my meal. My husband was also bummed out with his meal-the last time we went to The Good Egg he ordered their special, the Bacado Bun, with avocado, brisket and bacon and we both couldn't get enough of it. This time around he ordered it again, creature of habit as he is, and couldn't put his finger on why it wasn't as amazing as last time. We finally figured out that it was because they forgot about the bacon! :( And it was still listed on their special board, but our ticket didn't reflect the special price (fortunately they fixed that) and it definitely would not have been worth the $10. Ultimately, we like The Good Egg. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is generally very nice. This time around, it just took a little too much work to eat here and we left with our heads spinning. They kept us on our toes, which is not something I particularly look for in a casual relaxed lunch.

Really, really good. The Wildcat omelet (with potatoes & fresh tortilla) is very tasty with jalapeños, crunchy tortilla strips & black beans. Very good. The Old Pueblo skillet with chorizo, poco de gallo, chile verde & potatoes has a nice zing. We topped off with decadent pumpkin pecan pancakes - Way ridiculous: a sweet morning cake. Couldn't finish a single plate. Coffee was very good. Nice prompt service. Worth stopping in, for sure

BEST breakfast in Tucson!! We probably eat breakfast here 2-3 times a week. The servers are so awesome every time we are here! It's a great place to bring young kids if you want to eat breakfast or lunch with them. They do a great Cheerios set up for them that distracts them until the food gets here. The breakfast is always cooked perfectly to order, is hot and the bacon is delicious! And really, the best priced breakfast in Tucson!

Best breakfast place, all the Good Eggs in Tucson. They have the best French toast I've had, and it's consistent. Wide variety of Omelets that have almost always been excellent. In Tucson stores, they are very lenient on substitutions of the sides, which is highly appreciated. The traditional day starter, with eggs, meat and two sides have been my favorite in the past. We also appreciate being able to eat healthy when we choose, like the veggie only scramble with side salads and fruit. As you can tell, we eat here often. We love the Good Egg!

So good we ate there twice. I always think places that are just open for breakfast and lunch are a good bet for breakfast, and The Good Egg lived up to its name. My wife and I were in Tucson for two mornings, and after enjoying our breakfasts at The Good Egg so much, we ate there again the next morning. Service: The first morning we were there all the servers were wearing UofA gear, which was cute and added to the Tucson atmosphere - especially the shirt that said "ASWho?" Our server that day was very attentive and friendly. The next morning everyone was wearing standard polo shirts, and our server was more or less a space cadet. Food: The food isn't edgy or original (it's all the kind of stuff you can cook at home), but it's the kind of stuff that fills you up and hits the spot. The french toast, eggs, sausage, and omelette were all fantastic. The over-easy eggs in particular were dreamy - perfectly cooked without being oily or buttery - and I'm not sure I've had simply cooked eggs that were that good before. The country potatoes were just meh - with no onions or peppers to make them stand out. One thing that I liked was that they served local Arizona hot sauces with Tobasco in the back if you needed it.

I love getting breakfast here. It can be pretty packed on the weekends, but I've never waited for a table for more than 5 minutes. Good service, yummy food and affordable prices. Their menu is quite extensive, even the pickiest eater can find something they'll enjoy.

We were extremely underwhelmed. We ordered pancakes, bacons, sausages and a cinnamon roll. The order was messed up. Then they left to fix it but left us with no syrup. Then the waiter was pulled, which made us uncomfortable.

Really can't mess with home cooking like this. Something for everyone on the menu and no evil glares for special requests. I'll be back on my next work trip for sure!

On numerous occasion come in to eat and repeatedly get the wrong order. Don't ever ask for crispy hash browns or eggs that are not runny. They actually will rearrange your plate in front of you on the table. Come in order and pray what you get is close to what you ask for. Not again.
