Sweet Tomatoes is certainly not fine dining, but few (if any) buffets ever are. Here's a buffet-style chain restaurant with a unique and welcomed spin. Setting itself apart from buffets which are centered around starchy, fattening, and nutrient-free dishes, Sweet Tomatoes offers a salad bar in the true sense of the word, with a wide range of fresh ingredients and dressings from which to choose. Set apart from their main salad bar is a hot bar (a kin to a smaller version of one you would find in a Sizzler) where one can select from a variety of hot soups and pasta dishes. For carnivores, they have a small selection of items as well, but the hot bar really appears to be more of an afterthought than the main attraction. While I love the idea of an impressively large salad bar, I wish they offered organic options, as I, for one, would gladly fork over a few more bucks for organic salad greens and veggies that haven't been sprayed with harmful toxins and depleted of their nutrients. Nevertheless, Sweet Tomatoes is a great spot to grab a quick yet satiating bite on your lunch break. For $9, one can come in with a ravenous appetite and leave with a raging stomach ache (from eating too much, that is).

NOTE: %15% Yelp Check In Saving!!! Thanks Yelp. Not the greatest Sweet Tomatoes, not the cleanest but it was a good meal. First mistake we went at lunchtime and they had barracaded one side of the line so that the queue was huge. After a few of us complained they opened it up. They had the stafff, not sure why they blocked off half at a busy lunch time. Some of the salad stuff that was set out seemed to have been there a while, they had that glazed, fuzzy look on their faces! The soups were great, potatoes and sweet pots were well stocked. Bread either went fast or didnt get replenished much. Dessert section looked liked it was hit by many kids HARD! more toppings over the counters and floor than in the containers. Overall it was a good meal. Staff was quick on cleaning away the plates, but she ran out of cookies just before our table and didnt bring us any!

Well, I never expected to write a 5-star review for a Sweet Tomatoes. But here we are. I met up with fellow yelpers Adam F (our outgoing Sweet Tomatoes evangelist) and Brad H for a trip to Adam's favorite restaurant. I've been to this Sweet Tomatoes before, although not since I joined yelp, and I was impressed by this visit. The first and most immediate thing I noticed was the freshness of the salad line, which is at the entrance and you complete your salad before you even pay. It's hard to keep produce fresh -- doubly so on a buffet line -- and we were there mid-afternoon, between lunch and dinner. I've been served wilted lettuce at better restaurants than this, so the freshness was refreshing. The soup line had so many choices that I wasn't sure what to get, but I tried their "award-winning" chicken chili (I thought it was quite good; Brad thought it was salty) and the potato leek soup (as recommended by Adam). In both cases, good soups. I also liked the fresh muffins and the cheesy breads a lot. The macaroni and cheese was also delicious. The one thing I found lacking was the dessert, as I didn't care for the ice cream (too icy?), the tapioca pudding (weak tapioca pearls), or the gelatin (all three of these desserts were low on flavor). I declined to try the chocolate lava cake. Overall, I think it was among the best salads I've found on the east side. Certainly the best build-your-own salad. Easily better than $13 salads at several nearby restaurants. As they also give you soup, sides, and dessert, it also seems like a strong value -- particularly since they send out coupons constantly.

Went because my mother-in-law raved about it, I really did not see the light. I paid $20+ for a plate of salad and a small soup. It was a buffet of repeated dishes and it was something I could have put together at home for a fraction of the cost. It was ridiculously busy, took a while to get seats. Atmosphere was somewhat chaotic, kids running around, was afraid to get knocked down with my soup and salad. Great for workers in the nearby businesses who are in a rush to grab a healthy lunch but if you've got time, go to a supermarket and buy salad ingredients and make it at home. I just really did'nt understand the hype.

Let me start by saying, if you are looking for straight up salad/soup and various other carbs - you really can't go wrong with Sweet Tomatoes. Clean, super nice staff and plenty to eat! The salad toppings are bountiful - although it appears they no longer do any sort of meet (i.e. chicken) so that won ton salad at the start of the line is "meh". The soups are usually the best, many selections but my fave is the cream of potato. I have never done the potatoes or pasta bar... but I can be found in front of the BREAD. So their "pizza" is something I usually take at least four pieces of, sometimes they have this cheese garlic bread that is super good too. I am not a fan of their fresh breads (sourdough, and other varieties) as it always seems stale to me like it is being readied for the crouton container over on the salad bar. Trust me, doesn't matter given all the muffins and other stuff is super fresh, so what's a piece of regular bread when you have the other selections. The only thing I would call out is that Soup Plantation (owned by the same company I believe) seems better to me for some reason. They have different items when I visit the Soup Plantation in San Diego. Sign up for the email coupons when they ask you at the register - you DO save a bunch of money.

This has become more favorite buffet of all-time and a place I'll do my best to eat there at least once a week (the other time might be at the other Tucson location). They sustained the new management and the service has been extremely friendly and professional. The buffet lines are kept very clean. Each month is a different theme, and each weekend there is something new. They have some of the best soft-serve ice cream I've ever had, and their soups are simply amazing! I'll be posting a ton of photos of this place, and added their feature items as they rotate weekly and monthly.

Used an email coupon. This location is clean and the food was fresh. I'm not a big salad eater, but even that part of dinner was great as well.

This is one of our favorite buffets ever !!! But...Upper Management needs to find out what the top favorite soups are in their restaurants so that they are available every month. OR..every other month. Cream of Mushroom is so delicious !! I know. I can't believe I am saying this. I love this p;ace but only wish they had my favorite soup every time I come to visit. Just called Sweet Tomatoes. No soup for me today. :-) lol

We frequent this Sweet Tomatoes location. The salad bar is tasty and fresh. The restaurant is always clean. Management is nice, and so are many of the servers. We have had a mediocre experience multiple times with one of the servers, who's remarked about our children when we come in with a group of moms, and again today when my husband and I visited with our children. The soups are great though the pasta salads are lacking. Overall, we do enjoy the food and the prices.

Wow I haven't been to a Sweet Tomatoes in a while. I went at lunch time, which is a horrible time to go because it's just massive crowded. But there was plenty of food still despite them running out of plates. I stocked up on some salads and cold pasta, which I love, and then came back for various kinds of small pieces of bread, a delicious bran muffin with cranberry in it, some soups including clam chowder and leek soup (yum). A little macaroni and cheese. I skipped the ice cream bar but it looked good. I went up for three plates. Man am I a pig! The food isn't spectacular but there's lots to please everyone, and it is tasty. Good for vegetarians too.

I love this place, and the healthy choices. Very customizable, I love that there is plenty for the whole family to eat and the kids ask to go there. The cashier signed me up to get their coupons and they save me so much money! I recommend this place to everyone

Oh, Sweet Tomatoes, how I love you. I just can't help myself. How could you not love all you can eat soup, bread, salad, and ice cream? The food always seems fresh, the servers are always friendly, and the people watching can be pretty entertaining. What can I say, this is a definite guilty pleasure of mine.

I really like Sweet Tomatoes. There, that's said. We eat here often. I'm pretty good about making a healthy salad. Yes, I'm trying to lose weight. So is Hubby. I like their strawberry lemonade to drink. The servers are pretty attentive. The breads are pretty good. I'm not so fond of the soups, but some of them are ok. I like the mac & cheese. I try to avoid the ice cream. I'm sad that they got rid of the chicken, edamame and other salad toppers. I really liked when they were free. What bugs me the most are the parents that let their kids run around like wild animals in there. It's happened often. The servers don't know what to do. The manager doesn't throw them out. It really makes it uncomfortable for people like Hubby and me who don't have kids. We'll keep coming here because we like making our own salads. It's easy and it tastes good.

This used to be my favorite place until I smelled Cigarette smoke on my Cesar salad, that was a big turn off. I have not been back since.

When I feel like a good salad customized to my likely I will definitely go here. The salad bar has everything you could ever want on our salad! Sometimes they will have a good soup available. Mostly, the only other thing I like in the buffet is the macaroni and cheese! Oh and I love the bread bar! They also have a good fruit bar and ice cream for the kids!

I can't believe this is my first review on Sweet Tomatoes! This is my favorite place to eat in Tucson. My dream come true would be a Sweet Tomatoes in Sierra Vista. They have lots of options for vegitarian and vegan options and enough meat options to satisfy my hubby. My favorite soup is the vegan black been chili with vegan minestrone a close second. I top both with a generous portion of green onions. Steamed sweet potatoes are perfectly sweet & tender. ( reg steamed potatoes offered too) This is a buffet style restaurant but the hot pasta is made right in front of you. The menu changes every month so there is always something new & in season. The day we went had reg chile with meat. (My hubby's favorite) chicken noodle, French onion (with beef broth), tomato- basil, and vegan minestrone on the soup bar. Steamed potatoes, Mac & cheese (real cheese), mushroom Alfredo & parm pasta, garlic cheese bread, pizza, and spicy Italian pizza bread along with condiments.(green & reg onions, shredded parm & cheddar cheese, home made sour cream, crackers, croutons, butter & non-butter, bacon) desert bar had oranges, tapioca, chocolate pudding, ice creams, cottage cheese, lava cake, brownie bites, blueberry and praline muffins, corn bread, and homemade whip cream. I saved the main focus of the restaurant for last! The salad bar! It's the reason I go there! I won't name everything but I am positive it will offer you more variety than any other salad bar you've been to. The dressings are made fresh each day with 8 different kinds as well as the usual oil& vinegar. Cold salad such as tortellini, broccoli madness, tuna tarragon and wonton are made right in front of you. The drink bar has sodas, juices, flavors teas & lemon aides, water, tea, coffees, and milks. Costa about $10 per adult plus your unlimited refills beverage for dinner. Lunch is less.

Great place for the whole family !! The place is always clean even when it's busy!!!! The food is the same every time you go the soups change from time to time but it's good!!!!! I'm always pleased with my visits and the staff is always friendly!

I've been going to sweet tomatoes, aka souplantation for years. This location is below the norm. Our "server" came by once to clear dishes, and once to offer their warm chocolate chip cookie. I had to remove our dishes a few times. The food selection in the salad bar didn't have the full "protein" offerings I've seen elsewhere.

    (2)
  • Gaciel A.

They have salad stuff, lots of it! Unfortunately, I don't consider eating unlimited salad worth $15. While they do have other things like pasta, bread, and tons of toppings. I never felt justified on the price. Unless you're eating 3 or 4 plates,

  • Luinelly L.

The food is amazing and we had a coupon so it wasn't too expensive. The staff though... that's another story. They don't pick up the plates often enough. I had to sit in a bunch of dirty dishes for most of my meal until I decided to put them on an empty table next to me. They had passed me more then once and didn't offee to remove them for me. Other than that, excellent meal.

I go here often since they have really great salads and soups. I got converted when Souper Salad closed across the street. Never really have a bad time until today. Went with friends to the Sunday Brunch. 13.27 for breakfast. This was HORRID!!!! Scrambled eggs NO FLAVOR, Country Scramble (not sure what country this was from) little flavor. Bricks and gravy (biscuits could be used for bricks), no meat any where on the station other than the sausage in the gravy or bacon bits on potato bar. The best thing to eat there was the fruit loops. I think next time I will spend the extra 15.00 and go to a resort for their Sunday Brunch.

Went there many times years ago for business lunch. The food is very good for a busy and less expensive buffets. Different kinds of soup served everyday, and some are healthy and tasty.

I love these salad bar places. I wish they would open one in my hometown. The salad bar selections are great and definitely my favorite part. The soups were only mediocre and I felt bad wasting food because I really didn't care for most. The mac and cheese was ooey-gooey and delicious. The other pasta dishes were okay. The different flatbreads were pretty good and the muffins were tasty. I was sad that the lava chocolate cake was actually really bad and a waste of calories.

  • Chloe O.

Sweet tomatoes has the best salad ingredients around! I love the buffet style salad bar and the staff are always friendly. At the end of the salad bar, you're greeted by a cashier who will almost always give you the coupon deal even if you don't have the coupon. That's awesome! They have a variety of drinks (the lemonade is delish) and an ice-cream machine stocked with toppings. The bot so awesome part: if you go here for anything other than the salads and ice cream, you will be disappointed. They offer soups (sodium attack) and pizza (tastes like plastic) and muffins (which you will probably chip your tooth on). My advice is stick with the awesome salads!!

Pretty good food. Perfect if you have vegetarian friends since the focus is on salads and fruits. Buffet style too so there is a good variety. The pasta and soup is also very good. Nice spot! + for military discount too! :)

Didn't this place used to be ...better? I remember when it opened actually craving the simple, fresh goods here--and the roulette of ever changing side salads and soups. Would there be Jane's Broccoli Madness? The Black Bean Chili? It was a nail biter. And rolling out the door in post-chocolate muffin bliss having had another bacchanal feast of tarragon tuna salad and caramel laced swirl soft serve. i don't think it's me. I haven't developed an uncompromising palate for shaved truffles and flowering quince salad. And I've been there enough times to see great days and days when you know they were scraping the back of the produce truck to find a decent, ripe tomato--so i have realistic expectations. So yeah, it's not me. It's them. The last couple of times have just been lackluster...my favorite dressings weren't on the bar, the hot pasta selections were tired, and the muffin trays did not overflowith with tasty temptations. Still, there is enough to get by on to keep it at a 3 star go-to. What has pushed this place off the list now, are the employees and management. Now there will be a good server/buser here and there, but be damned if you need to ask a question about ingredients or if an alternative dressing is available. I hope that I don't come across 'talk-radio' here, but the management really needs to make sure that there are available staff on duty who can communicate in english when an important question is asked in english. I'm a customer who needs to know about ingredients for allergy-safe options for my little one (if you've read my reviews, you know this about me). So while I can appreciate all different cultures and abilities, if I need to know if a product had an ingredient that will make my kid need an epi-pen, I really need to feel secure that there has been clear communication. After two other employees went for someone else to help me, a supervisor I suppose, i was able to ask about our specific issues: eggs, nuts, seeds, coconut, sunflower. The guy then was happy to tell me that the House Chili was gluten free. Really? That's not helpful at all. I got him to give me the blue binder of cooking instructions and ingredients to check out our limited choices, but really i wasn't left with a lot of confidence. And it's been like this the last couple of times we've been in. While the employees are pleasant enough, I sense a general lack of understanding and training in allergy issues. It just ruins any dining experience when I have to work three times as hard as I should to get some simple information. So I have to amend my earlier thought--I guess it is me that has changed the most. I need to feel secure that I know what's going into the food and that the management is sensitive to allergies what can happen when customers are misinformed.

OUCH! Pricey salad. Well, salad and ice cream facsimile, nothing else here warrants chewing and swallowing. About once a year a coupon lures me in for lunch, yesterday with my son, last year with my daughter. The salad bar is clean and appetizing with good variety. My rule of thumb for the bar is that as long as its raw and/or a single ingredient, it can be trusted. Once they dress it, boil it, mix it, or embellish it -- it's got the sweet-tomatoes-corporate-flavor and should be avoided. I make an exception for the salad dressing which, coming from a large vat in the back, probably has absorbed some other corporate-flavor. Besides, I draw the line at bringing my own condiments. Soups, baked tubers, bread (including pizza), and pasta are to be avoided. They are sad representatives of these food categories. Remember, just because something is labeled as food doesn't mean it should be eaten as food.

  • Jordan C.

I love this place! I've been here like 15 times in 6 months, and it's a good deal, if you bring a coupon. It's always fresh and tastes good. They switch out their salads, soups, and noodles often enough to keep it interesting. The soups are sometimes not the best, but they're sometimes the best thing there. Busy place.

  • Walt C.

First time here with family after recommendation. Salad selection was good, but didn't quite hit the spot for the price. Was very crowded, but staff was very helpful. Food was average, perhaps expectations were too high. The final cost of the meal came in higher than expected. I wouldn't avoid Sweet Tomatoes, but I don't see myself having cravings for it either.

In Colorado Springs, it was Souper Salad. I'm glad that I've now found my new go-to for a tasty salad bar. Sweet Tomatoes gets five stars from me based on selection, cleanliness and service. I've probably been to this location about five times since discovering it a month ago. The salad bar is huge and plentiful annnnd you can throw as much chicken on top with no extra charge, a huge bonus for hubby and I. There are about eight different types of soup and I think the offerings change quarterly with the seasons. I really enjoyed the focaccia...I think it had just come out of the oven when I snagged a piece. I try to steer clear of that section because all of the desserts are over there but I do believe there are some pasta dishes, mac and cheese, breads, etc. Speaking of dessert, they have fat-free froyo in Choc, Van and Twist. They also have multiple toppings and wee little baby cones. The Twist froyo tastes just like full-fat twist to me and I always make sure to have a couple baby cones before rolling out the door. I honestly have nothing bad to say about ST. I know it's a buffet, but service is great. The servers/bussers come around and offer drink refills, take away dishes and have always been incredibly kind.

first time at a sweet tomatoes. i'm not really a soup/salad type of girl, but my in laws were having dinner here so we tagged along. they have a large variety on their salad bar. you can get the pre-mixed stuff, or put together your own salad. they had about 8 types of soups/chili that i saw. i only tried the tomato bisque, which was alright. they also have a bunch of rolls/muffins and some pasta selections. all in all, not too bad for the price. if you like this kind of fare, it'd be perfect for you. the place was clean, the bussers kept clearing our plates and were super friendly. .

  • Josh G.

Not as big of a variety in the bakery area as I had hoped. Not as clean either. I'm spoiled with a wonderful location in Schaumburg back home so that's what I used for my comparison. The salad bar was great, of course, but that's the easiest part to get right as long as you have a big frozen supply. However, if you're really hungry and don't want to spend a fortune, Sweet Tomatoes is a good destination-just not the best.

  • Willanne W.

It's okay .. when you need a salad. Prices aren't cheap but you can usually scavenge a coupon online or from the newspaper. There are several premixed salad choices and lots of garnishes to add to your salad base. The tuna tarragon salad is nice and they do have a good bleu cheese dressing. As a final indulgence, the brownie muffin (hot from the oven) with a dollop of vanilla ice cream is a nice way to complete the meal. The servers were very prompt about clearing the tables. I don't usually think about coming here, but it is always okay when I do.

    (3)
  • Liz W.

Nothing very exciting, just another salad place. I did run into the issue of several add ons and dressings were out and not refilled. The soup side had 6 different soups to choose from which was a nice variety.

Sweet tomatoes is salad buffet with others small food. get 2 plates one for salad and second one for whatever they have potato salad or tuna salad etc. servers do take your empty plates and refill your drinks. place can be busy and packed. price is okay, get coupon from newspaper. Been going there many times....mmmmyummy!!! wink!!!

This is one of those places where I will go if someone else suggests it , but not a place I will pick myself. Went with a group from work celebrating a co-worker's birthday. It's good for groups as this suggests. Service is good and the place is well-kept. The food is nothing spectacular, but they do have plenty of options, mostly meatless. Soups (some have meat, but you have to look for it real hard), salads, baked potatoes, pasta, loads of baked goods plus frozen yogurt and fruit for dessert. The real downside: Nearly $9 for a buffet without true meat options is just too much. Heck, Chinese buffets are loaded with meat options and they are not even that much. Maybe I am just not in touch with my herbivorous side.

I use to go to this location during lunch when I worked on the east side of town back in 2008. I hadn't been in a few years, but its still is an ok place to have lunch. I mean you can't really go wrong with a nice HUGE salad! The staff is always friendly and fast at taking your trays away. Again you have to go on a good day and some days they give you a free cookie.

  • Amanda P.

I'm sorry, but I just can't get into this place. The prices were okay for a buffet but there are just some things I can't get over. It was very crowded which can be quite frustrating in a buffet restaurant. Salad selection is pretty good but soup and hot choices were very limited, though creative. Not as tasty as I would have hoped, though. Nothing here really seemed to hit the spot... I would rather go to a more interesting buffet than just salad since I feel like the point of a buffet is to try as many interesting foods as possible. Free cookies were nice though and good staff.

Great dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. We're here on vacation, from LA. So, if you want fresh food, check in on Yelp, you'll get 15% off. Loads of great salads, veggies and goodies. Plus, a nice hot bar, which includes pizza, pasta, fresh soup and breads. Deserts too.

  • Kathy P.

This is the only restaurant I frequent that is cafeteria style. Everything is always fresh and super clean unlike some cafeteria-style restaurants which give me the willies. There is a huge well stocked salad bar, many soup varieties which change daily, pizza, baked white and sweet potatoes, fresh muffin varieties, pasta made-to-order, and for dessert: soft-serve with fixins', chocolate chip cookies, fresh fruit and puddings. Often there is some kind of baked cobbler. Prices are reasonable especially for all-you-can-eat. Drinks are pricey though. ($2.50 for coffee) but just have water if you're budget conscious.

I travel (drive) a lot for work. This place helps keep my tires on the ground instead of on my waist! I'm not sure if any of you have read my reviews of Golden Corral but this place is like the healthy version of Golden Corral. I come hear a lot so for those of you that have never been, they change the food theme every month. It varies from different ingredients to certain regional dishes. It's mostly the same ingredients just prepared differently (which I suppose is true for all foods). The food is always fresh at this location and they do a good job of keeping it clean. The dining room is big and I've never had a problem finding a place to sit even during peak lunch hours. This particular location is right behind LA Fitness so it's convenient to get a work out in and then recharge your battery with a healthy lunch. You see a lot of people in their work out clothes here so I bet I'm not the only one.

This is a good option when you want a big salad to-go that you can customize the ingredients. You can stuff a to-go container of good healthy stuff for about $7. So much better than fast food salads and so much cheaper than the salad bars at Whole Foods or AJ's. I've never tried any of the soups or pastas so I can't comment on those.

My wife and I love Sweet Tomatoes and come here frequently, sometimes with her father. A year ago, I would have given this place 5 stars without thinking about it. We're not sure what's going on, but over the past six months or so the quality of the food is on the decline and Sweet Tomatoes has become annoyingly inconsistent. It's kind of across the board -- for example, the soups have gone from "fabulous" to "just OK". We're finding more soups that are excessively watery and sometimes too salty or too bland. They were offering salad toppings such as grilled chicken, but those are gone now. The fruit bar (which I prefer to the high calorie desserts) often has boring bananas and apples -- I could eat those at home! Service has become spotty. An annoyance is that the traffic pattern to the salad bar is configured so that it's difficult to return for seconds -- once you're through the salad bar and inside the restaurant you'd have to find your way back to the main entrance to revisit the salads. The pasta bar has become bland and predictable -- the mac-n-cheese tastes like it came out of a can and the pasta for the specialty dishes is sometimes gummy and overcooked. But it's not always this way. Sometimes, the food is still great and there's fresh interesting fruit like pineapple, and the soup selection is tasty and fresh. So it's become hit and miss at Sweet Tomatoes. We'll continue to frequent the place, but I cross my fingers when we go now.

I usually love this place and when I found out there was a 15% off coupon when you check in with Yelp, I was thrilled. I usually just get a salad to go. Imagine my disappointment when they told me I couldn't use my coupon for to-go orders! :( Other than that, my to-go order was delish. Fresh and ice cold, crispy, veggies!

Sweet Tomatoes is called Souplantation where I'm from. It's the same company really. Cafeteria style self serve salads, soups, baked potatoes, muffins, pasta and soft serve or jello for dessert. I always find these facilities to be well maintained, clean and tasty. I feel it's a little expensive, so it's a once in awhile treat. The food is always fresh and very consistent plus there is always something new to try. Great for a family of diverse tastes, something for everybody.

Great place to eat all you can for salads and soups. We had a really nice wait staff. Salads where well replenished and fresh and soups where hot. They had a wide range of selections. Would definately recommend for the health buffs. If you check in with yelp show a 15% coupon pops up, great savings for their price.

Went to Sweet Tomatoes for the first time with friends from Green Valley. We all enjoy salad so it seemed like a good choice. It WAS crowded, as noted by another reviewer, but the veggies were fresh and crisp, the service was fine, and the sides (breads, soups, lasagna, pizza, muffins, desserts, etc,) were delicious. So I went back with another friend. And then again by myself. And will keep going back, because I LIKE it! Only problem? Everything is so good, I eat too much. Now whose fault is that?

This is my children's favorite restaurant--anywhere--ever! In my view, everything there is fresh and amazing and the Sunday breakfast is AWESOME! (we always have the most amazing waitress who harrasses my boys...love her ;)

They have really good service. They are clean but the only drawback to this particular Sweet Tomatoes is that they are super busy especially on weekends or after a game, so you always have to be seated. This is the only decent place to eat on the Eastside of Tucson so everybody old and young converge here. Their tuna tarragon is good. Try the baked potatoes and the foccacia's. REally good.

I absolutely LOVE Sweet Tomatoes! Consistently good tasting, healthy, food that's a veggie's delight. Friendly service, casual atmosphere and tons of choices of veggies, pastas, muffins, and soups. We bring all our out-of-town guests here and eveyone loves it. For seniors, go at 3:00 and receive another discount off your meal. To sum up: Delicious food, great service, (cafeteria-style), at a fair price.

My brother and I meet here once a week and we marvel at the number of morbidly obese people who frequent this particular Sweet Tomatoes. The salad ingredients are fresh. The Caesar salad made in small batches is very good. There are at least 6 soup offerings so you're pretty sure to find at least one that pleases. Their focaccia is just so so. The pasta is way overcooked. If you are a baked potato and topping fan you'll be happy here. The frozen yogurt is yum(choc and van) with several toppings to choose from. I like granola. They offer a fruit cobbler that changes monthly and it is delicious with the frozen yogurt. A vegetarian can have a decent meal here...

Solid 4 for me, and with everyone else apparently. There isn't much I can say that hasn't been said already, honestly. All I know is this place is great when you're starving. I defy anyone to have a salad bar with as many fresh and yummy options. The chicken noodle soup is also a favorite, as well as the brownies and frozen yogurt. I almost never get the pasta or focaccia as I find them lackluster. Oh, and the people watching is a definite incentive for me.

Son's favorite place. Seems like prices keep going up, but quality going down. Staff seemed disengaged. No mushrooms on buffet line?!

Sweet place for vegetarians! The selection of vegetables is plenty and plenty tasty! The veggies taste fresh and are crispy! Pile it on baby!! But If you're a carnivore you might not enjoy their selection of "okay" soups that almost taste like something from a can. With the little bits of meat in the soup I wonder why th restaurant just isn't a full vegetarian place. It might as well be. If you're vegetarian you might be a little disappointed that they like to sneak in bacon bits on some of the prepared salads :( If you can snag a coupon(In the mail hint hint) then it's a great deal and I'll be returning every month as long as the staff continues to treat me like family!! yay :)

Normally I hate supporting chain restaurants, but when you get a coupon to eat at ST for $22 for a family of four it's totally worth it. I'll admit I really like eating here. The salad bar is always fresh, clean, and stocked with abundant choices. The soups and pasta bar are great and the deserts are yummy - get creative! The workers are friendly and helpful and the place runs like a top. Keep sending the coupons and I'll keep going back!

I'm not a huge buffet kind of girl...I actually have an aversion to them since my dad only let us eat at Ryan's or the Golden Corral growing up for "nice" family dinners. Anyways I found Sweet Tomatoes when we lived in Albuquerque. My husband and I went there almost every Sunday after church. Sweet Tomatoes is even better now because they offer FREE chicken!!! It was an additional $2+ several years ago. I live it because it's always fresh, you can eat healthy and it's cheap. The staff was friendly and the lady came by to refill our drinks a few times. I'm definitely going back for another huge salad...maybe even tomorrow :)

This wonderful restaurant is one of my all time favorites. I just love making a big salad and not having to do the cutting etc. prep. work. Everything on the salad bar was very fresh and what a variety! The soups, pastas, and salad specialties are inspired and change frequently, depending on the current "theme". Great salad bar. Nice variety of soups to choose from (8.) I went with the turkey chili, while my wife had the cauliflower. Both were quite delicious. We found the staff to be nice, & helpful...as this was our first time here.

Love this place! One of my absolute favorites. Healthy, but has other food for picky kids, like soups and pizza, desserts, and the like. Not too expensive, too.
