Having decided that a takeout date night was in order, my wife and I turned to the best Chinese food option near our house, Phoenix Village. They were friendly over the phone (as always) and said the food would be ready in 15 minutes; I promptly headed out the door. When I arrived (a few minutes early) I was cheerfully greeted by the cashier, told my order was not quite ready, and offered a place to sit. After coming back with an update on when the order would be ready, our food came out of the kitchen piping hot. Our meal consisted of an order of crab puffs, shrimp fried rice, and General Tso's chicken. None of these disappoint, but those crab puffs really are a treat. The only note I would make is about dining in at the buffet. The food that you take out is significantly more delicious as compared to what is offered at the buffet. So, if you tried the buffet and didn't like it, I'd urge you to head back for some takeout. In all, our order came to $20, and offers enough food for several meals. When searching for Chinese food on Valencia, don't look any further than Phoenix village.

The good reviews I read on here are such LIES!! I didn't like the fact that they made us prepay and the food was hidden behind a wall. To my dismay, there wasn't much of a selection and what was there was disgusting! I was disappointed that there was no sautéed mushrooms first of all, it just seemed like they made the food at 5am and kept it there all day long. I will not be returning to this place next time I visit Tucson

Really damn good buffet food. It's an all you can eat buffet (I suppose there is a menu, but I never look, honestly) with so much food that is insane. The price is like nothing for the food involved. It's so good. There is a ton of everything. I can't get enough. An endless supply of great food. I guess it's all Chinese, I don't know? Good soups, sweets, rice, meats, you name it. Everything here rocks. You can take endless trips to the buffet bar. Just grab a plate and go. Free refills, great table service.

Would you like some chicken and rice with your sugar? That's pretty much how the orange chicken and chicken teriyaki dish tasted like - sugar. My mouth is still buzzing from the excessive amount of sugar they've used that it deadens the taste of the chicken and vegetables that come with it. Good thing it came with a lot of rice to bring my taste buds down from a sugar high. Forget eating candy, just taste their chicken. If I want cavities then this might be the place, but after gulping down a glass of water from a bite of each dish, I think I've had my maximum dose of sugar for the week. Let's just say from those 2 dishes, they make Panda Express a place that I'd rather eat, and their food is terrible. It's disheartening for me to give them 1 star, but to give them 2 stars would just be lying. Not good, not good at all.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
