Been there, done that, won't be back. The food was horrible. Service was bad. And both my son and I left there feeling sick and stayed that way the rest of the day. It gets 1 star because, well I don't have an option to give anything less and also because it was very clean.

Please just go to Mc Donalds if you can. The lady at the sushi bar it's extremely rude if see you not tip at your second trip. the workers look unhappy. The food is blended. not fresh. It is gross. Unless you love crappy buffets Do not go there. That place will not last very long. somebody will end up with a bad seafood poisoning. I paid 25 dll for me and my 11 year old daughter and I seriously tell you It was not worth 10 dll. eww I still feel sick!!

Chow mein pretty bad this last time - celery and onions and cornstarch and msg. They just kind of randomly cook it - too much meat one time, too little the next. Better leave them to do their buffet thing.

I will never return to this place. I wnet with my wife and two kids. I served myself a full plate with a little of everything including ; chow mein, brocolli beef, shrimp, honey chicken, breaded chicken, and a.couple of sushi. Nearly everything I ate either didnt have flavor, or had this wierd after taste. The only thing I liked was the shrimp and the honey chicken. I decided to get some egg drop soup. And sure enough, it had the same bland flavor just like everything else. I kept eating it anyways because I was so hungry, I wish I wouldnt have, about half way through I found some egg that was colored GREEN! I tried to see if I could find more and I ended up finding another piece of egg that was green. I immediately lost my appetite. I placed it to the side. The waitress seemed friendly. She walked by to ask if we needed anything. When I questioned her about the green egg she tried explaining it, but after not.being able to think of a good reason why it would be green, she went to get the manager without me asking her to. The.manager came over and looked at the.egg. after looking at it closely for a couple of seconds, he tried passing it off by saying that the piece of egg possibly got cooked for too long........because we all lnow that when you over cook eggs they turn green....I didnt even bother telling him anything else. I just asked for the check. The manager then asked if he could throw away my green egg... The.waitress asked us if we.wanted to try anything else, possibly because she noticed that we all hardly ate.anything. I said no and.waited for the check. We ended up paying 40 bucks and we all left hungry, I.cluding my wife because she didnt like.anything either. Now I know how Sam felt.....

Food was good. Great selection. I was with another couple. they paid for the meal by CC,and I paid the tip with cash. the server actually returned to the table after he noticed no tip was entered on CC reciept! A major no-no! I would have given higher review if it hadn't of been for this. Maybe he was just concerned that the service/food was not satisfactory to us..but I percieved it as a negative.

Was just OK, I don't think its a tourist trap. I think a lot of regulars go there. For $10.99 you shouldn't expect to much for your basic Chinese Buffet. Other option is a McDonald's meal for $7. Four more dollars you can go back for 2nds, 3rds, and soft serve ice cream. Decor - 3 stars, was decent Taste - 3 stars, don't expect anything to wow you Service - 3 stars, good service Value - 3 stars, again not the best food, but again not the most expensive.

This place was just okay. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this place. It is just another chines buffet. Positive: a lot of food options, friendly staff, clean environment Negative: not many places for large groups to sit, food layout was small and people easily bump into each other, no real system of knowing if your food is done at the Mongollen beef station just listen for the bell and hope that its yours My daughter liked it more than I did, but she is 8. We may come back but probably not.

Tourist trap. It doesn't even rise to the level of "OK". I was here when they originally opened and it used to be really good. Now it sucks. The selection was horrible, the food was either cold or burnt and dry. Tons of cheap filler items. The dumplings tasted like cleaning fluid. The pot stickers were like burnt chips and there was no shrimp in any of the containers labeled "shrimp". I've been in dozens of these places and usually stay in the buffet for 45 minutes or so. It was one plate and out this time. Never again. If you ignore me and go...tip well. The staff here (going through the motions) will need new jobs when the health department checks the food temperature.

I feel sick instantly! The chicken tastes like it expired and they chose to cook it anyway. The soups are so bland, no flavor! The noodles have a weird flavor like they were nuked in styrofoam. The fried zucchini started off good til you reach the middle and its old and soggy. Yuck I've had way better buffet before. Plus the booths are made for skinny people like ikea or something. Never going back. On my way home to vomit.....

This is one of the best buffets in town. I have been coming here since they opened and the quality of their food and service continues to be great. The tile works and decor all around is awesome and makes it look trendy and looking clean. I love the stomp and sushi bar.

One of the worst Asian buffets I've ever been to!!! $10.99 for dinner/ $1.59 for soda per person. This was our second time there. First time was few years ago when we were here on vacation, right after they opened it. Back then the food was great! Not a big selection but everything was awesome. Well, not this time. During this vacation we decided to eat here again since we had such a good experience the first time. Unfortunately, this time everything was horrible. Went there on a Sunday. Expected way better considering our first experience, especially for a weekend! Unfortunately we all left hungry. We tried almost everything they had. We spat out almost everything we tried and they waitress picked up all of our plates pretty much full. I also noticed that we were not the only getting rid of full plates. Where to begin!? Orange chicken was spiced wrong. Wanton soup was tasteless. Green beans were old and stringy. Broccoli and beef were severely overcooked. Mongolian BBQ was undercooked. Tasted like microwaved food. The vegetables were not even hot. Fried chicken was terrible. I didn't even think anybody could mess that up. Lo main was inedible. Spring roles were bad! Dry and tasteless. Mushrooms had a funky flavor. I can go on, and on... Hot and sour soup was passable, just OK. Coconut shrimp was passable. Kinda OK. The only thing good they had was egg drop soup, and the honey chicken was good (if you like sweet chicken). We didn't dare try the sushi. Didn't feel like risking it. On a positive note the service was great and the place was clean. Don't waste your money, time and energy. The place is bad. Really bad. We paid $39 ($36 + $3 tip) for 2 adults and a 9 year old, and left hungry. Go eat somewhere else.

Everything was over seasoned or under-seasoned. The food tasted old and dry. Some of the furniture was all ripped up as well.

I want my time and money back. Ever since China View Bistro closed, I have been searching for a decent buffet. This place is not it. I should have turned around once I saw that there was only 10 tables with customers. Sadly I remember no one was smiling. I know why. The food was bland and very little of each dish was available. I imagine since there was few customers, they did not want to waste food. This was a Saturday night at 8pm. If the food was good there would be more. The best item was the store bought frozen cream puffs. They had a sushi bar. Nothing looked good. Their Vegas roll was an onion topped roll. Vegas rolls are supposed top be deep fried rolls with eel sauce and are yummy. A thing to note, nearly every dish had a weird spicy sweet taste to it. Not sure if it was cinnamon, all spice or what. My guess is that they mixed up the salt with another spice. Dinner cost me $11 a person. That is way too high, especially for crappy food. It was steak night. By steak I mean cheap pieces of grilled beef soaking in broth. If I wanted steak I would have gone next door to Texas Road House. Service was good, but all they had to do is bring us water and the bill. I wish I could recommend another place to go, but I can't.

Why everyone has negative review here. This place is the best food and great price. Everything his clean and organize. Waitress is friendly and fast, service is great and satisfied. The best buffet in town for sure.

I am suprised to see so many negative reviews in here. We actually had a great dinner here last night. After a day seeing the gem show, we are ready for a dinner. We found the buffet by accident because it is right next to highway. Alough there are a lot of people in there already we were seated right away. I had the freshly prepared BBQ noodle and it was really good. The waiter served us constantly. The price is very reasonable for a all you can eat buffet, actually a lot cheaper than similar buffets in San Diego. Overall a pleasant dining experience.

Awesome place to eat for lunch for $7.99! Love the hibachi grill! I'm always loading my plate with beef, noodles, bean sprouts, and lots of chopped garlic. My favorite is the pepper chicken with the jalapenos. The restaurant is very clean and they constantly have waiters and waitresses taking up your plate when you finish. Can't wait to visit Tucson again this coming Sept. '15. I'll be heading here again for some great Chinese food.

don't eat here. I threw up the whole night. I didn't even have the Sushi. The BBQ had no flavor. The selection was sparse. The Ice cream was not Ice cream but Ice Melt. I had to run to the rest room before I could leave. Never never never again!!!!!!

What can u say about this place? Well if you ask me I would say bland and not fresh. They refuse to throw out food that has been sitting around must be because they are a lot slower now than before but that is not a good reason. This buffet is a hit or miss but it has been miss for the last 2 trips I am done with this place. Go try to the new buffet just open on ina and Shannon called wok & roll buffet

There are not very many Chinese buffets still left in Tucson. I'm not sure what the people that left very negative reviews expect of a 9 dollar buffet. One can barely get a good hamburger for that price. So, I can't be too hard on this place. I had to remove one star (was four stars) because this buffet is not consistent in quality. We have been there four times. Two of the times it was pretty good (about as good or better than the average Chinese buffet). The other two times we weren't impressed at all and left without going back for seconds of anything, Bottom line is that New Town can be a crap shoot for quality. I suppose it depends on what day and time one would go. I haven't nailed down when the good times to go are. So, I guess that you'll just have to take your chances like everyone else if you decide to go. If we get another "MEH" meal, i doubt that we'll continue to be regulars. This restaurant mainly caters to guests of the half dozen nearby hotels. UPDATE: I've had three good meals in a row so far. So, in appreciation, I'm adding a fourth star.

New Town Buffet simply the best Chinese food that we have had in Tucson, the sushi was very fresh and very reasonably priced. It is a good thing that New Town is as far away from our home as it is or we would be regulars at New Town.

Just okay.... I liked that they had a sushi bar, and some of it was actually pretty decent for a buffet-place. Skip the mongolian grill. Or get it, but don't use any of the meat. It was absolutely HORRIBLE quality - disgusting! You could get it with just noodles and veggies as a nice side, though. And the buffet itself... a bit lackluster. It was okay, but nothing special. Some of my usual favorites (general tso's, sesame chicken), I didn't even like here, but there were a few new-to-me items that I thought were decent. In terms of Chinese Buffet places, I'd give this one a "C" for a letter grade. It's not failing, but certainly not exceeding any expectations, either.

We're regular customers. Everyone is friendly and insures our glasses are filled and empty plates are cleared. We visit New Town to catch up with family and never feel rushed by the staff. The food is excellent with a wide variety to meet the needs of any palate. The sushi lady can be unpleasant (don't take anything from the middle or back of a selection or she'll grump at you). Aside from Sushi lady, everyone is friendly and quick to meet your needs . We miscalculated our bill today ($4 in their favor) and a young lady found us at our car to let us know and correct the amount. Now THAT'S service! Love this place and am pleased to be a regular patron.

I've been here a few times and always enjoyed it but this last visit was a bit disappointing. I love the Mongolian BBQ but this time the buffet items were underwhelming. Much of the items were cold and overcooked. The fruit was not very fresh. That being said it is a great value and my kids live the place

Just want to speak out the truth to everyone who has read D.D's story on 02/19/2014. I was there that time. That oldest girl was holding her ice-cream and running because the younger was chasing her behind. Of course, ice-cream dropped from her hand, and she stepped on it and slipped. And the time the mother realized something happened was after she heard her daughter started crying on the floor because she faced back to her daughters. I heard she asked her daughter "How you fell?" One waitress came up and asked how the girl was, and then the hostess came up and asked too. The mother said she was okay. The hostess used a paper towel to wiped ice-cream on the floor and put attention sign on that area, and then cleaning the floor by using a mop. About the leaving time, the mother suddenly became very angry and yelled at the hostess "You are lying. I knew my girl, she can't run!" She repeated several times. In the end, the hostess and the mother entered office. I do not what happened inside there. But according to what I saw, 1. The girl was running. 2. The hostess and server asked how the girl was after she slipped.

I was sadly disappointed. I stopped for lunch, the place was nearly empty and the buffet was pathetic. The food was luke-warm and not very tasty and the selection was poor. The egg rolls tasted funky too. The service was equally poor, never saw the server again after I sat to eat. No tip for him. Will not be back...

This place is highly underrated. It's always busy at t his place, but it's always fast too. I like to come here with the family every few weeks. They have a very good selection of sushi, mongolian bbq and various sorts of chinese food. At $10 a head for the all you can eat buffet, it's also a very good value.

First of all I was seated at a booth and the springs were poking my butt. Then the let down with the food, mediocre at best! Take it from an Asian, I know!

This is the place we crave to go to. We have been going there for about six months. BEST buffet in Tucson. Sushi is limited for lunch, but much better variety for dinner. We drive down from Catalina just to go there. Usually 2-3 times a month. Friendly people. Great WonTon Soup! So much variety! Love the dumplings. Always find something great to eat. Last time we were there, Pepsi drivers (6) met for lunch. Police officers, too. When we left it looked like UPS drivers convention was pulling in. If all these guys go there, you know the food is plentiful and good!

I reside in California. Was in Tucson for business. Went here for dinner and had an awesome experience. Food was good and staff was ever so pleasant. Wish more places in California were like this. Sushi was good as well. The young lady that accompanied me enjoyed the food as well. Would definitely eat again the next time in this area.

I have not had a bad experience yet. My husband and I really enjoy it here. I'm pretty sure this place is owned by whoever runs U-Like Buffet on Oracle Road. Same food, atmosphere, decor, et cetera. We go to both, depending on our errends. Anyway, my husband and I love it. I cannot complain about endless wontons. The food is delicious and kept warm. My husband loves the sushi buffet. I love the Japanese chicken. It's always so tender and fantastic. Everything is just delicious. The ONLY thing I dislike is the orange chicken. It tasted like plain soy sauce. Otherwise, all is great. The selection is quite large and actually kept fairly fresh. Everything is clean. I love that I can always find something for my picky toddler. The fruit is good and nothing ever looks old. They have good desserts. It's all yummy. The staff is also very nice. The ladies always play with our kids and they are so sweet. We really enjoy it there. It's the place we go when we just want something we know we will like, and we might even take my in-laws there when they visit from Utah. Oh, something nice is it's nursing friendly. I can request a corner booth with phone charger for privacy and nurse my son with no issues. A huge plus.

As seen on my check in, I was hesitant with going. I saw so many mixed reviews, so naturally....now happily I report I have lost all hesitation with this buffet. Not overly salty. Great friendly service. Clean (noted the use of gloves at the grill station and sushi station). Tasty food. Variety. Freshness. All the things I look for in a Chinese buffet. I call this a win. My husband has declared this a win. We will defiantly be back when we are craving the Chinese foods. Try the Hawaiian chicken, general tso chicken, beef and broccoli, the cream cheese puffs. Those were among my favs.

After a long day of riding, a buddy and I stopped in to have dinner one Monday night. The employees/servers were really(Never had an empty glass or a dirty plate). The food taste like it was microwaved from a per package meal, it was poor - had no flavor - and was very plan. Had nothing special to offer. Well i go back? Most likely not.

Eat here often. Always super clean. That's rare in a buffet. Lots of choices and food is always fresh. Friendly staff. I think it's one of the better buffets I have found anywhere.

ahhh, I love this place(: I crave it as I write this review. I love love love their hot & sour soup, Hawaiian bbq chicken, stir fry & sushi! mmmm, idk what was going on with those other reviews, but the food is great. the servers don't speak English, but it's a buffet so you don't need them anyway! who cares, I just love getting down on this place it's soooo good. :)
