From CA visiting friends in Tucson. Wow am I glad I found this place. Owner was super nice and friendly and the vegetarian breakfast burrito was awesome! Not greasy, full of flavor. $3 each.

I actually have never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant as I did at this place. One of my coworkers recommended this place but I wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone. There is a woman who works there and I have seen her every time I have gone there (I take my coworker) and she is extremely rude and will actually shove you out of her way! The people who run the register aren't much better either. The food is pricey for the quality and quantity. Also if you want to eat there it is small, loud, and the seating is very uncomfortable.

Delicious!! I have just recently discovered Los Jarritos and am a huge fan of their burritos. The restaurant is teeny with only 2 tables on the inside and a couple on the outside as mostly everyone orders take out. It seems to be family run and they all joke with each other and their regulars and make you feel very welcome. I keep meaning to try some of their other stuff like tamales but just haven't yet. The machaca, birria and chorizo burritos are large and tasty. This place is kinda far for us so we don't get over there as much as I'd like but make the Saturday morning trek every now and then.

I love everything about this place! Their chimis are sooo delicious especially with that amazing red chili sauce. Menudo is always fresh! Staff is very friendly and always a warm welcome and clean environment. Food is never prepackaged all homeade. This restaurant has been here for 30 yrs I think and now I see why great food and great value!! Breakfast burritos OMG!!! puts Nico's to shame!! The food really captures the authentic mexican food made from the kitchen. Had my mom impressed who is from Mexico herself and has seen it all. She absolutely loves their food!!! I just wished they would open one up by our side of town. Tried to convince the owner.. lol, wishful thinking....

The staff was nice! The appearance of the place seemed very cluttered and disorderly Food was good but not great. The tortillas should be soft and warm but mine were cold and hard to chew. The meat was chewy and cold and eggs seemed dry and overcooked. Overall, not worth the money but its not awful.

Saturday morning menudo is the best. Coffee is perfect and the chorizo with potatoes is so flavorful. You can take a pot and they can put menudo in your pot so you can in joy at home.

This place has become my Friday ritual. Picking up a breakfast burrito on the way to work. My friends pointed this place out to me. Great Job! So far I can only speak for the breakfast, maybe later I will try more and raise the rating. Machaca is good, barbacoa has great flavor. Chorizo is a little greasy but its chorizo, its expected to be greasy. Classic potato egg and bacon never fails either. I love their barbacoa, so i really need to get in and try it in a regular burrito. Place is tiny, so plan to do carry out, or make new friends and squeeze into one f the few tables they got.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
