Whether they go by Los, Fili, Al, Rigo or any of the other versions of the Betos/Bertos homestyle Mexican fast food chains they are always satisfying. Sure, sometimes you might have to put up with a little attitude or a mistaken order but that never takes away from the consistently good food they churn out (sometimes 24 hrs.). The menu is extensive and the food is delicious especially if you're pressed for time. These places cook their food to order but they do so fast.

Nice restaurant and very good customer service, this is the nicest one to come for lunch and dinner at this store South side of Tucson. So many clients stopped by from Airport and highly recommend.

I have yet to be disappointed by most ___bertos or restaurants in that genre. Los Betos would fall in that style. They are always busy during lunch and the prices are quite reasonable especially considering the quality and quantity of their food. I'm in this area often with work and this is one of my go to stops for lunch. They also have a convenient drive-thru to get your food on the go. Its not a fancy or gleaming, it is simple and functional, a few tables and small booths to dine in. If you are looking for a quality inexpensive [cheap] meal or snack stop in and enjoy.

Best cook in the game! (Old dude in the hat and mustache like a Mexican Super Mario) Always on point fast fresh and delicious. Can't say enough good things. Try everything on the menu and order the Super Fries and large Horchata. Your Welcome!

I wish I could give it 0 stars. I asked what was on the adobada burrito, and she said meat, Pico, and guacamole. Great , I'll take one. I ate half of it and noticed there was no guacamole. I walked back, brought it to their attention, and the cashier opens it up with her dirty hands. She goes on to tell me "it's in there, but it's not really guacamole, it's avocado sauce." How about just saying what it is to begin with! No one orders chips and avocado sauce, it's chips and guacamole. Guacamole is made from a very special fruit, don't Catfish my burrito! To add the cherry on top, she hands it back to me assuming I'd eat it. Touching dirty money then my food, WTF. I told her to throw it away. She clearly has never been through service or food handling training. Stay away from this place.

I quickly yelped a local joint for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know it was a fast food joint, but the food was definitely tasty. I ordered the carnitas torta, which had a lot of flavor but slightly dry. The chips and salsa were definitely not what I considered chips and salsa (see pic). It was more of a lame plate of nachos. Oh well, to each their own. Good value for lunch here!

Some of the worst mexican food i ever had. Tortilla on the taco ripped not because it was soggy but because it wasnt heated through. Carne asada nothing special and pico had bad tomatoes. Skip this place please, theres not many choices in the airport hotel zone but this should be last in your options and still skip it.

I went to this place because of the previous reviews.. and I have to wonder if any of these other posters have ever tasted Mexican food before, because THIS WAS NOT IT. My "Burrito" had meat, tomatoes that I'm sure were supposed to be red but were green, and some sour cream. They still used the GIANT tortilla shell that is meant to hold giant quantities of ingredients, so I ended up with a mouth full of tortilla. One main ingredient and a couple garnishes does not make a burrito. And if you're only going to put 3 things in there, they better be great. They were not. Secondly, I felt like puking directly after eating it. Not sure what to blame.. the meat, the fact that they were using come sort of industrial cleaning agent in the dinning room as we were eating, or the combination of the two. Either way, not an experience I'd like to repeat. I would take Taco Bell over this crap any day. At least at Taco Bell they don't give you feces and call it gold.

I know that Los Betos is renowned around Tucson for being crap, and I've definitely had my fair share of nasty experiences at various Los Betos locations around the valley... but I wholeheartedly believe that this one is somehow different. I don't know if they're actually doing anything differently, but I've never faced any of the usual Los Betos-y horrors here. Well, except for that stupid drive-thru speaker, but that's not SO bad. Did they get my order? Am I even speaking to an actual person? These uncertainties are just part of the charm of being a patron at a Los Betos. Maybe the trick is knowing when to go? For instance, grabbing a breakfast burrito from them just after morning rush hour = awesome. Their breakfast burritos are tasty, cheap, and a you don't have to deal with awful drive-thru waits (when a Los Betos gets backed up, the wait times can be worse than a bad Eegees). It's just past 10pm, you just got home from work, there's no place open, and you're starving? Los Betos' #19 Fajitas to the rescue! Beef, chicken, and shrimp, all covered in cheese with a side of their rice and their oddly gray-hued beans. No it's not classy, and yes it's hella greasy, but at 11:00pm when you don't want to spend more than ~$7, it's heaven. Besides, it beats every other late-night drive-thru alternative. This place deserves a solid 3.5, but it feels weird and almost wrong to round Los Betos up to a 4, and so I'm rounding down to a 3. This location really does produce some tasty food, and the staff is friendly enough. It's more the kind of place you go when your other options run dry, but at least it's an option you can stomach.

Pretty good food. Glad I found it. Close to airport, convenient, tasty. Try the Cuban style burrito.

Unforgetable super-fries! Whether or not you know what super nachos are, this is one step beyond your tastebuds, its a whole square shaped platter filled with fries(extra crispy available per request) topped with carne asada(or any meat like chicken if you ask for it) then each corner has its own topping of guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and refried beans all with cheese on top! Delicioso my friends!

Greasy Mexican food, fast, delicious, cheap. This is where it's at, folks. The California burrito is excellent. I like the two tacos, rice and beans combination. They really pack it full of shredded beef. And they are not stingy with the salsa!

Amazing delicious food and a wonderful staff. You can't beat the prices either. Don't pass on the churro. They're the best.

I hate myself every time I come here, but some days it is just unavoidable. The food is quality, nothing to call home about, but it's really not bad (especially if you're hung over). The price is right, and honestly you get what you pay for, Mexican fast food that actually uses real ingredients (sorry Taco Bell, but you're about as Mexican as Sarah Palin). Political cheap shots aside, this place holds it's own, but like I said, I usually hate myself immediately after I eat here. And word of advice, I would stray away from the "rolled tacos" they tend to come out tasting stale.

Had a little hiccup with hours but it was taken care of...AWESOME! This Los Betos just got a loyal customer. :) The food is on point!

Stopped by Los Betos for one of those wonderful "gut bomb" burritos. Even though it was noon, I needed a bacon and egg breakfast burrito. It was wrapped in a huge and wonderful tortilla. The burrito was filled with goodness and served with salsa. The perfect compliment was a huge styrofoam cup of diet cola. Good stuff!

Tip: check out the 88 cents menu on the bottom right corner! They have churros, chicken tacos, and bean burritos for cheap. Perfect meal before flight. Just your usual fast food Mexican joint. Carnitas was alright, not the best I'be tried.

Try the number 18. I got mine with chicken. It comes enchelada style with red sauce. The chicken was all white meat if you have a preference. For 8 dollars with a large soda I definately will go try other menu items. My only complaint is the drive through is a little slow and hard to understand what they say back to you, due to a VERY old speaker.

If you're going to eat fast food Mexican, Los Betos is the way to go. On top of that, do yourself a favor and order the Super Nachos!

Fast food the way it ought to be! I am from the east coast so every time I fly into Tucson I am instantly craving the nearest Taqueria. Literally within minutes of touching down I am standing at the counter of this conveniently located Los Betos ordering a couple of carnitas tacos with salsa. Its just enough to take the edge off after a full day of flying on airlines and refusing to buy their crappy overpriced food. I gladly starve myself when I know Los Betos is waiting for me. The tacos are packed full and delicious. Two and a drink cost less than seven bucks. What is not to love?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
