Went here for dinner today. Here is the review, good and bad. We got salsa and that was homemade and it was delicious! Also, the steak was not too bad, just slightly burnt. It was alright. The fries were very good, the bread was yummy. Overall a good or okay experience. Wish the steak wasn't so burnt, but I'll be back!

Worst customer service ever! I am not the first person to complain about the "manager" of this place. 45 minute wait for our food and a Toothpick in my chicken. But...the cherry on top of everything.. They didn't take American Express and threatened to call the police if we quote dined and dashed. What?!?! How offensive! Took the kids home down the street because they were scared and my husband went back to pay ten minutes later.. They lost a neighborhood customer and we will be telling all our friends about this. They need a lesson I class and hospitality.

My family and I have been enjoying Great American Steakburger for years now. Just went again today with visitors from out of town. As always, good food, good service, good times.

Pleasant staff greeted and seated us promptly. Large selection of burgers, pulled meat plates, and steaks. Had a steak burger with bacon, cheddar, and grilled onions, cooked medium per order. The large seasoned steak fries are tasty, come in a basket, and easily serves two. Would recommend this place to those living on the East side of Tucson.

(This review was attached to the previous address and name a few months after they opened at TV and Cat Highway; I have moved it here, though another form of the name is on the map too?) anyway ... We tried to dine here. I called ahead to ask some questions about the menu and some allergies we work with in our family (because I know that stopping the flow of a dinner service to ask the chef and/or manager questions isn't cool.) So I got the manager on the phone and it's clear that she isn't trained in the school of customer service and food allergies. I get it. Allergies suck to have to accommodate--even if it's just to answer a question about ingredients (try living with it). But when it comes down to having a table full of vomit and/or an epi pen getting whipped out, "Pretty sure..." just doesn't cut it. Apparently they get their bread/buns from Vero's and therefore in the mystical teleportation device that procures the bread, no ingredient list is a available. But that's okay because some of their employees have worked there for like 10 years and know a lot of ingredients and things. But just not for sure if the buns contain eggs. But I could call Vero's myself to check. *sigh* I tried helping educate this defensive manager about how to better serve a party with food allergies (step 1: don't tell them to call a vendor to check your own product), but what's the point? They clearly didn't want our business anyway.

Best ribeye in Tucson! Bartenders are fun and lively....great beer on tap (try the Laguanitas IPA). Sausage bites are a must for a starter...burgers are ground and pressed on site. It's refreshing to order a burger the way I want it. If you spend a day hiking at Mt. Lemmon, it's the perfect place to stop for a beer afterward! Very family friendly...5 stars!

Just tried it out. It was good food at a reasonable price and plenty of it. The staff was friendly and service was timely. I will be back.

All I can say is what happened? We used to go to this place when it was located on Harrison and 22nd. They moved and we were really bummed. We have been dining here since they moved and it seems to have gone down hill. We thought it was just growing pains so we have over looked some things but last night was it for us. We ordered two appetizers ( Sw Potato Fries and Fried Zucchini) Grilled Chicken platter with side salad Steak platter for husband Hot tea and Iced tea Appetizers never came out Salads were served but were the very basic for 2.99 Iceberg Lettuce, a sliver or two of onion, tomato slice and a small little thing of ranch dressing. barely through my small dinner salad the plates with dinner came out and were delivered by our waitress as if they were coming in for a landing as she put them on the table without waiting for anyone to move a single plate that they were eating from. ice tea was not refilled, my hot tea was not refilled nor was i asked if I would like more hot water. I didn't eat much of my dinner but out waitress would not have noticed. We saw her plenty when we were between the salad and dinner but we did not see her after plates were served. We waited and waited for a ticket , she looked our direction and could not tell we were ready to leave i guess so I flagged another waitress who noticed the uneaten meal and asked if I wanted a box. I told her no, the chicken was dry, veggies were drowned in butter and mushy. Just a check please. I also pointed out the appetizers were not delivered. Our waitress did come by with the check at last and offered free desert and did remove charges for my meal and appetizers which was fabulous. I would say I would give it another go but previous experiences combined with other reviews and our experience last night make this a NO GO for future outings. Off we go to find another favorite. Kickers was it wasn't that busy!!! hmmm....

We were super excited to see this place open up at Tanque Verde & Catalina Highway. We waited a few months to give them time to work the kinks out. Much to our dismay....it was not worth it. The setting is nice and cozy and the waitstaff was friendly. The food however is loaded with butter and otherwise boring. The platters come with choice of 3 sides but then those bland sides are brought out in little bowls...I felt like my food was straight out of a Furr's Cafeteria. Shrimp Scampi was drenched (too much), with butter. My husband had BBQ brisket which was a huge serving but was not the most leanest of meat. :/ Over $50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks...we won't be returning.

The mushroom swiss burger was great, I added sauteed onions. The service was really good, our waitress checked on us several times and made sure we had everything we needed. Nice meal after a day hiking the tanque verde falls!

I ordered the rack of baby ribs, as it came out, I was surprised how it was so burnt on the outside and beyond dry and hard in the inside. As of the need to fill an order with no pride, they bathed it with fresh barbecue sauce as to hide the fact. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like right out of a store box. I ask that the ribs get sent back, the waitress said, I will check with the manager, then returned stating the manager said we are out of ribs but you can get something else. I ended up with a no flavored brisket with a spoonful of bbq sauce. So disappointed, the ribs was 20$, I was charged 22$ the brisket was only 17$. But they still charged me for the ribs. Never saw the manager, no apologies given. Didn't want to argue with the bill. My wife had a burger which she liked, but no one bothered to tell her that it does not come with fries as in the picture. Poor service, I am sure they were upset with us, or so it felt. I wanted to try this place out since it's just down the road from where we live. For 55$ I expect better. After a bite full of the brisket, I took it home and fed it to my dogs. I will not return nor will refer to anyone.

I've been a customer for three years, beginning at their old location at 22nd. & Harrison. Now, a new name , new location, nicer ambience. The wait staff is excellent as expected and the food, if anything, has improved (maybe it's the larger space for preparation). I genuinely like the new decor and roomy atmosphere. Our group of a dozen folks drop by for a couple of lunches each month and are delighted with the new digs. The set up for the bar is much better and invites a casual meeting with friends. Plenty of parking, too. It's a great addition to the neighborhood...welcome Steakburger
