Best doughnuts in Tucson! Cake varieties are delicious and staff is very friendly. These guys put Dunkin to shame!!

Absolutely the best donuts I have ever put ok my face! Like many other reviewers, I will not be going back to Dunkin Donuts any time soon... The donuts are sooo good, they just melt on your mouth! Bonus: they are open 24 hours since night shift has us all backwards. We were lucky enough to get thee right after they finished some at about 5:30 one morning and they were still warm = AMAZING!!

Donut Wheel is the best in town! Their selection may not be as large as some of the big chains, but their quality is way better. (Seriously, donuts are supposed to have different textures... yeast, cake, fritters, etc.! They should NOT all taste/feel the same.) I love their Apple Fritters! The large one is ridiculously big... about the size of my entire face. I'm not kidding. But I rarely find the smaller ones if I stop in. It's so, so, so good! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Ahhhh! It's fortunate that I don't live super close to their shop, or I'd be over there all the time. They do have a drive thru, but what's the fun in that? The best part is going up to the cases and picking what you want! Their prices are CHEAP, too.

This place has yummy donuts. Fluffy and never stale. Today was the first time we tried their ham/cheese croissant and let me tell you...RUN! Go get one before they're all gone. Really good and they are huge for only being $2.30 each. Their friendly service is a plus! Check them out!

These donuts are the best!! It's our go to place. Always fresh and tasty! They have a drive-thru which makes it pretty fast if you already know what you want. The family that runs it is very nice and always has a smile for you. Yummy goodness!

One of our clients brought us a dozen and ruined the whole staff. I can usually resist donuts but I now dream about the glazed buttermilk. A Tucson gem and worth every calorie.

FANTASTIC donuts! this was actually a lucky find since we intended on going to another local shop this morning but they are closed on Sunday (whats that about?)! but these donuts were melt-in-your-mouth amazing! nothing "trendy" as far as crazy flavors but a ton of options classic super yummy options! forget that other local shop- this is our new donut shop!

Best donuts in town. Period. Ignore the run-down appearance.

So... this is my favorite donut place in Tucson. I can only couch for this location but I only gave 4 stars because I went there on National Donut Day to get the best glazed donut in town and they were all out! Out of glazed donuts on National Donut Day! So then I asked for old fashioned donuts: out. Okay, how about buttermilk: out. Needless to say I did not get a donut on Donut Day. Quite a bummer. p.s. My pregnancy craving (that I try really, really hard to keep at bay) is their glazed donuts. Let me tell you that those things are a little piece of heaven. So moist and chewy and fluffy. Icing all the way around (unlike at other donut places). The only donuts I eat is Krispy Kreme brand so it's a big deal that I really like Donut Wheel's (on Kolb) donuts. p.p.s. They accept credit cards but it's a 50 cent charge on transactions. Just an FYI.

I got an assortment of donuts. Although not fresh at this time of day, they were pretty light and tasty. I got a half dozen for only $4 after tax.

This place has THE BEST donuts in Tucson, hands down. Any of the negative reviews seem to have come from people who visit the shop in the afternoon. If you want their donuts fresh and at their best, go in the morning. Always prompt service and fresh pastries! They are cheaper than Dunkin and actually taste like donuts (i.e. not "manufactured"). As a member of the Air Force, I can honestly say that Donut Wheel does what they do very well and they are consistent at it. Love this place!!!

It is as if the food gods decided to grace Tucson with the finest donuts imaginable. The folks at the Kolb Donut Wheel must have a direct line with the food gods. It is as if the best donut nectar ever is strained down to the DW. I stopped by the Donut Wheel at 7:20 am and someone had definitely gotten up early to make the donuts. The plain glazed donut was so light and fluffy it was like eating a fine pastry. The glaze was just right, just a kiss of sweetness to make the perfect donut. I also tried a cake donut with icing and sprinkles on top. The cake was perfect, very light and very moist. Almost a contradiction on what we have always had as cake donuts. Two donuts = $1.41. Do yourself a favor, try a donut you normally don't go for. I bet you'll love it. Rationale for 5 stars: it is a donut shop. Its about the donuts, nothing else matters.

This Place is the Donut Bomb !! Nothing Fancy but I am not there looking for decorating Ideas, I got plenty of those myself. Daniel and I go there for the Donuts and Milk. Not a healthy snack but for the few times a year we go, its worth the drive. The donuts are miles high above anything else in the Donut world ! Those Pink Frosted Ones are enought to send me outta my mind !! Only a couple tho, any more and I would feel really guilty but I could eat the whole tray of them !

  • Elizabeth L.

Don't let the construction detour you, this place is worth the stop! It's not much to look at from the outside, but the donuts are SO worth it!! It's open 24/7 and has a drive thru. The employees told me what each donut was and were very polite. Love the prices too!

  • Sean S.

Best donuts in town! Not greasy. Light & airy, even the cake donuts aren't heavy. Highly recommend trying them if you haven't already!

    (5)
  • Christine P.

Tasty, soft, chewy donuts! Always fresh! P.S. The construction is all done! So do not fear the roads.

  • Jen W.

I definitely want to run in and run back out quickly so there are not any incidents in the parking lot, if you know what I mean. The glazed donuts are nice; I bet they would be even better in the morning. Most of their donuts are large, and it's not the place to get a bunch of smaller donuts. The glazed twist was $1 even - no worry about tax or anything. Run in, get your donut, run out, and hurry back!
