The food was okay not really anything special. It was very hot and small so plan on waiting for a table.

PROS: Staff was super friendly, HUGE pancakes, ice cold iced tea, average breakfast, average price (compare to Jerry Bob's). CONS: HOT! It was REALLY hot in there, we were sweating and all they had was one little fan on in the restaurant. My husband poured the half and half in his coffee and it was all curdled, as we looked at it in the rest of the bowl they were all clumped and bad. She brought us another bowl but by that point my husband didn't want to chance it and cancelled the coffee. All the food was overcooked from the bacon to the potatoes to the egss. Personally, I won't be going back, there are soooo many other options in Tucson for a really good, inexpensive breakfast that this just doesn't make my list.

I genuinely LOVE it here. It is a nice local, hidden, and quiet breakfast eatery! I believe they make their own pastries that are TOP NOTCH. I would recommend it to ANYONE. Now, it is locally owned, therefore, the experience will be very similar to the Tucsonan kind of lifestyle. It's not fancy- dancy AT ALL, but it is a nice home-comfy feel to it. I ALWAYS get the sausage muffin egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Amazing how different a REAL breakfast sandwich tastes with real eggs instead of the powdered kind they serve at fast food services! The English muffin is perfectly toasted and butter and when bitten into, there's a nice crunch along with instant melted cheese. Taste buds gratification! My boyfriend orders the bacon breakfast burrito, which also is soo yummy. It is a decent sized burrito for $5. The best part of this entree... the salsa. Let's just say my boyfriend hates tomatoes, but he will devour the salsa and ask for second and third servings of it! It's freshly made everyday! Side Note: I was out at the Farmer's Market on Sarnoff and Broadway on Friday mornings and the owner is there selling tortillas, salsas, honey, and pastries there as well!

Food is always great to eat. Make sure that if you come in a large group not to get Gloria. The last two times I was there I had her. The first time was in a large group (5 people) and we barely got any service. I'd seen her help small groups of people more often then my group. I was with my mom, aunt, and two cousins. My mom had ended up going up to the front with her coffee cup and asked for more coffee. Someone did come by with a coffee cup to fill her cup. A minute after doing so Gloria ended up coming by and seeing if anyone needed a coffee refill. My mom was upset that she didn't come sooner. It seemed like Gloria didn't want to be there working at the moment. It could have been that she just didn't like large groups. The second time I was there it was just me and my mom. Gloria was on the ball in seeing if our food was any good and she made sure that we had drinks.

Coming here is a Sunday morning tradition for my wife and me. It is like going home to Mom's. Once you are a regular you become part of the family. I get teased and harassed along with the rest of the regulars. The omelets are big and taste great, stuffed with lots of good ingredients. I like when an omelet and hashbrowns cover a platter. Biscuits and gravy are wonderfully unhealthy and I love getting a half order to sub for the toast. Nothing like a little sin on Sunday. Great food. Great people.

Going on two years in Tucson now, and we've since discovered lunch here. Whenever I crave an egg salad sandwich on dark rye toast this is my go-to place. Visiting with Gloria and Maize, we always feel like family.

Wandering around the East side, looking for a breakfast spot, I remembered A Great Location. We'd been here in the past but a long, long time ago. You walk in and immediately get the feel of a mom and pop place. Cards with your server's name on the table, mismatched chairs and tables of families with several generations enjoying breakfast. As for the food, I am going to start with the pancake. First off, the plate it's served on can barely contain this behemoth. Not only is it big, but fluffy and tasty. Not realizing how big they would be my wife asked if she could get one instead of the toast, biscuit or tortilla that came with her bacon and egg plate. They obliged, but I am not sure if there was an upcharge. Still, that whole meal was less than eight bucks. I got an omelette with probably my favorite home fries in Tucson so far. Simple: cubes of potato deep fried until crispy, served hot, alongside a fluffy chicken, Swiss cheese and mushroom omelette. Back to the pancake - they had gotten a little busy and the server was just a little slow with the check. The quite-large-no-way-you-can-eat-all-this-without-injuring-your-innards pancake sat less than half finished but kept getting picked at by my wife and me while we waited... it was so good. Get this thing outta here! The check finally came and we escaped without injury. Next time we know, (and there will be a next time) if we order the pancake, don't order anything else... or risk bodily injury by breakfast food.

It's called A Great Location, but it's kind of not. The parking lot is awkward and the some of the parking spaces are on an uneven hill. But that's not really a big deal. It's about the ambiance and the food. This place has a real "garage sale chic" about it. The chairs are a combination of folding chairs, cheap plastic conference chairs, and 1980s office chairs. The tables seem to be small desks or work stations, possibly also from the '80s. And the dining room itself looks more like converted office space. It's small, with low ceilings, and the furniture takes up so much space that I felt like the waitress was constantly squeezing past me to get to other customers. I ordered the Beef Chorizo and Cheese omelette with hash browns and wheat toast. The toast was cut very thick and served rare. The middle was almost doughy. The "and cheese" part of the omelette turned out to be a single slice of cheese on top. It might have been processed cheese rather than actual cheese. It had all the charm of a Kraft single. I guess, in the end, this might be a great location for some people, but it's not what I'm looking for at breakfast.

We came here for the first time today after attending church. It was a good sign, in my eyes, that we had to park across the street because there was no space in the front of the restaurant. Busy! We didn't wait long at all for our family of 4 to be seated. But then, they asked us to move to a smaller table to accommodate a bigger group which was fine. My daughter's eyes lit up as soon as we sat in the second table. This restaurant had Santa walking around talking to everyone! Other places you have to pay an extra fee to have breakfast with Santa! Definitely shows that they're a family restaurant. Now onto the food, I ordered silver dollar pancakes for my daughter and they gave me regular sized ones but it was still $3. Awesome! I highly recommend their Chicken Fried Steak! Yummy! My husband also enjoyed his Corned Beef breakfast. My husband even commented, "Good find, Babe!" We'll be back!!!

Hubbs and I eat breakfast before church on many a Sunday. The pancakes are delicious but are the size of hubcaps! The french toast is always great too. No matter what we order for breakfast we always get Italian toast. Their bread is the only thing that isn't made in house. It comes from an Italian bakery on 22nd street but that is just fine. We love this place!

The breakfast is good. they did a friday nite fish fry at some point that we did not like. the mutligrain pancake has WONDERFUL flavor. the wait staff always very friendly. seating is iffy - not a fan of folding chairs. nice portions at good prices. they close at 2p unless it is slow they may close early!! had that happen a few times - get there 1:30 and the sign said closed... that sucked. you can park in a few spots in front or across the street in the dirt on the side of the road.

My Husband and I ate Sunday breakfast at A Great Location. We arrived at about 9 am and were seated quickly. When we left 45 minutes later there was still easily available seating. The location is pretty good, especially if you live on the East side. The service was friendly and one server kept calling another Mom so there was a homey feel to the place. The atmosphere friendly, homey, and feels like visiting an elderly aunt or grandma's place. Seating is a bit cramped with tables being very close together and the chairs we had were not very comfortable. Our fellow diners were all significantly older then us, by 30 or 40 years. Most of them were greeted by name by the servers which I though was cute and thought "hey, if people come back often enough to be called by name the food must be pretty good." Unfortunately I think they go back because it's really bland. I ordered the red tamale special. I'm can't remember the price. 2 red tamale's, 2 eggs, 2 flour tortillas, salsa, and a side of refried beans. The tamale's were good, not great. They didn't have any spice to them and the masa was very hard. The eggs were cooked to order well. The beans arrived cold, like refrigerator cold. I asked the server if there were suppose to be served that way (everything else was hot so I wondered if I had an incorrect expectation.) The server quickly provided me with new beans. Sadly they tasted like canned refried beans, not worth the calories. I figure if you're going to be eating something cooked with lard, it ought to REALLY be worth it. I didn't finish half of them. The tortillas were store bought fluffy white ones, which seems sad since there are such awesome local tortillas available fresh daily in Tucson. The salsa had very little taste, I could taste the tomato, but no cilantro, onion, or spices. I wonder if everything is cooked so bland to appeal to people on special diets? I won't return to A Great Location, and I can't recommend it. Pros are service, cute atmosphere, and location. Cons are bland taste, uncomfortable chairs, and cramped seating. Yelp on!!

Love this place. We had too many people and the waiters happily accommodated us by pushing alot of tables together. The food is amazing and affordable. Only thing is I which they had more room because it gets too crowded

Visit parents in Tucson about once a year and always look to try a local place we haven't been to before. They suggested we check out, A Great Location. So, after Mass on Sunday we met my brother and nephew for breakfast. Nice little family diner with a homey feel and a menu with plenty of options. I had the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, my wife had the Greek Omelete. My brother had Eggs Benedict and nephew had pancakes. We all enjoyed our meals and would order the same again without reservation. The pancakes are HUGE. A single is plenty big for most kids and young adults. Nice people running the place makes it all the better. We will make A Great Location a regular stop on our annual trips.

Lunch at AGL today. We like this place. They make their own breads and pastries. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. And, the prices are very reasonable.

Another good Sunday morning stop. Small seating area. Parking limited in front. Very good coffee. Diner style breakfast. A gobacker.
