First time visiting in Sedona and my boyfriend decided he wanted pizza. So naturally I yelped a pizza joint and found this little gem. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! I had spaghetti with marinara and meatballs and they were probably the best meatballs I've ever had. My boyfriend and grandmother had pizza pies which both looked delicious. Papa had the butternut squash ravioli and he was exclaiming after each bite down to the last drop of sauce! The service was excellent and the restaurant had authentic Italian character. Overall I would recommend this restaurant if anyone is craving Italian.

Visiting sedona and this restaurant was across the street from hotel, so thought would give it a try. Wonderful little family owned place. Fried ravioli appetizer was super delish and could have been a meal in itself. Then had a deep dish pizza. Again, that was great. Will definitely eat her again when in town. Since in oak Creek village you avoid the crowds as well..

Went to this restaurant 8/12/15 with family. After our not so good experience with Amara Cantina restaurant the previous day, we were hoping that this place will give us the opposite impression. This place did not fail our expectations, in fact it surpassed. Great service by our lone server, polite, attentive and the foods are excellent..definitely worth our tip and we will be coming back...

After a 11 hour drive this was the perfect spot! Thanks for the recommendation from the local pubs waitress!!! Fast and friendly service, large portions and definitely kid friendly! We had the Shrimp Scampi and Spaghetti w/ Meatballs. Both authentic Italian and amazing! I will definitely be back on our next trip to Sedona!

I stopped by in a rush for a decent pizza 20 minutes prior to closing. Our waitress was very accommodating and the pizza was above and beyond expectations. I ordered a Sicilian style pizza and a calzone for our party of 5. It was more than enough, and quite tasty. Everyone was happy and the restaurant couldn't have been more kind.

Made reservations for a party of 17 and right when we got there, we were seated right away! Kids on one table, adults on another. Ordered different pizzas to share and they were all good - Kids ate it all up. Their appetizer plate was yummy! Great service and friendly too! Definitely would go here again if I ever go back to Sedona!

Great authentic Italian food, decent prices, homey, welcoming atmosphere & staff (owners). Highly recommended! Will definitely be back. :)

Milano pizza was perfect and tasty. Large artichoke pieces. Pizza came out as take out and was still steaming hot when we rolled up to our hotel. Amazing food!

Was here for a conference and not from the area....thankful for yelp! The food at Pago's was amazing! We ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza with added toppings and garlic cheese bread. Customer service was impeccable! Have suggested it to others and would go back again.

My husband and I wanted a simple salad and appetizer to pair with leftovers we had at the hotel so we decided to give this place a try! We ordered their appetizer plate (mozzarella cheese sticks, fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, and fried ravioli) and a chicken salad. We called around 5pm and ordered a pick up at 6:30. When we got there at 6:30, the food was ready to go still really hot. They even put it in bags and the chicken was separated from the rest of a salad. Oh, and all the hot foods were placed on aluminum foil so they wouldn't damage the styrofoam boxes. The portions are huge (I don't think we can finish the appetizer plate) and the salad included bits of mushroom and olives. Awesome! Next time we're in Sedona, we will definitely have to dine in and have some pizza because it smelled so good inside!

  • Rose F.

Antipasto salad was really good! You gotta get the feta dressing. I got chicken parm and husband got chicken marsala. Both were good. The garlic toast could have used more garlic. When we got back to hotel I noticed my husband was over charged for his meal. I called and was told they would refund the over charge, which they did. Other than that issue, it was a nice place.

What a perfect cozy family owned restaurant. Great food, great customer service! So glad we stopped in on the way to Sedona. ps. Their calzones are amazing!

Good ole fashioned Italian Food served here folks. Doesn't get any better than the lasagna and the pizza, out of this world. The staff were wonderful! Go see them!

Best pizza and salmon salad I have had in a long time. The service was great. Treated well.

A cozy little Italian restaurant that was not anything special, but hit the spot. Ordered an antipasto salad, mozzarella sticks and a pizza. Antipasto salad was a basic side salad with salami, pepperoni and some vegetables, mozzarella sticks were excellent and a very generous portion, and the pizza was solid. Service was good and would come back if I were in the mood for some basic Italian food, meaning nothing fancy.

We had an incredible pizza, a bottle of wine and dessert for about $50. The service was as good as the food! We'll be back!

This a little Italy in Sadona! Minestrone soup is homemade. Lasagna was superb, but had too much ricotta cheese. Spaghetti had gigantic homemade meatballs.

I thought this place was lovely. It felt more authentic than other Sedona Italian joints. I went with friends. I ordered the sausage ravioli, my friend ordered the penne with mushrooms and the other friend ordered a sub sandwhich. We all enjoyed our meals and would return. The antipasto salad was yummy- GET THE CREAMY FETA DRESSING!!!! I licked my little cup of dressing clean. Quick service, friendly staff, reasonable prices (especially for the Sedona/Village of Oak Creek area) and it looks to me from reading their menu like they have nice lunch specials. I can't wait to return and try the pizza. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday night and while the place was busy we did not have to wait to be seated. First thing we noticed upon entering- This place smells good!!!!

Do not arrive at this place late unless you want to be mistreated. We arrived around 8:25, and they close at 9pm. Big mistake in restaurant selection. These folks don't appreciate late patrons. The waitress forgot the drink order and rushed us out of the establishment, asking if we needed to-go boxes while we were still dining. The service, at least around 30 minutes before closing time was one of the worst I have experienced. As far as the food goes, the minestrone soup was good, and so was the meat ravioli. The cheese ravioli and the spaghetti with meat sauce were mediocre. This is a low-end American-Italian restaurant that resembles a fast food joint in service.

I went there just recently and tried their a (Sicilian thin crust 14inch Cheese pizza) and I could only make it 3/4ths of the way. It is nice and thin and juicy. The crust is nice and chewy and not doughy. Would recommend if you are looking for good Sicilian food. FYI try the Tiramisu it is like eating heaven.

I've been coming to Pago's for almost 20 years now. Honestly, the place hasn't changed at all. And, that's a good think. The pizza still tastes exactly the same. You've got to love their Sicilian thick crust pizza. The linquine has a nice flavor that tastes like they make it there (I don't know if its fresh or not). The marinara sauce was a pinch bitter for my taste (maybe too much parsley or tomato paste?). The staff is very attentive and helpful. The only negative is that the wine is served in very small glasses marginally bigger than a shot glass. Would it kill them to offer a generous glass of wine? By the way, Pago's is very popular. A reservation is highly recommended.

Great pizzeria in Sedona village. Friendly staff and loved the classic down home Italian vibe. The minestrone soup was especially delicious.

Each time I go to Sedona, there is a high likelihood that I will be going to Pago's. I have family in the Village of Oak Creek, the part of Sedona that this is in. It's very close to Bell Rock and the area is soooo beautiful. I am very grateful to Pago's because we can count on it being friendly and delicious every time. I tend to get a calzone and a small salad. We've had pizza and that's great too.The prices are fair and it feels like a small town Italian restaurant. Usually, to get consistency, I have to go to a large chain. Pago's Pizzeria is the perfect solution to supporting a local business and always getting the food just right. Heyyyy, I'm starting to salivate....

  • Hannah M.

Wow! We went to Pago's last night and weren't quite sure what to expect. The locals said it was really good and it had good reviews. We had the NICEST waiter ever, Paul. He was so happy and kind to us. We all ordered the antipasto salad and it was delicious! The feta is out of this world. My brother and I ordered a small pepperoni pizza (4 little pieces) and a plate of spaghetti to share. My parents got the veggie pizza. The pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious but the spaghetti was plain. I was hoping that the meat sauce would have more flavor but it didn't. My parents thought their pizza was good. Overall, the service was excellent, pizza was good, salad was delicious, spaghetti was so so.

We liked it enough that we ate there twice in our one week stay. First time had a pizza and toasted ravioli, both were excellent as was the service. Second time they were busier so the service wasn't as good and the pasta was ok. They use a sweet tomato sauce which is our favorite.

    (4)
  • Dr J.

The delivery guy was very nice but the food was very mediocre. It was most definitely on the lower end of pizza tastiness.... The antipasto salad was very mediocre also. We got the acclaimed feta cheese dressing and that was also "meh". I would not eat here again.

Wonderful food and friendly staff. Love the chicken Alfredo calzone. Big enough for 2 people. Also the Hawaiian pizza with the thin crust. Perfect. And the dinner salad with creamy feta dressing is fabulous. Great food and reasonable prices. What more can you ask?

Decent food. Service was fine. Sauce was just OK. Tasted like a pizza sauce on the pasta. Veal dishes were OK. Saltimbocca and Parmagianno.

My husband and I stayed in village of oak creek this past weekend and wanted to treat ourselves to a delicious and hearty meal. I had a magazine full of information on staying in Sedona which included many restaurant options. Near us there were exactly 11 other recommend options and being as picky as I am, I researched each one before making a choice. Pagos won us over with their prices, and rave reviews and I am so glad they did. It was awesome! My husband had the meat lasagna and antipasto salad. I had the clam linguine with red sauce and minestrone as a starter. I could have licked my minestrone bowl it was that good. It is a family run restaurant and it shines through in the amazing service you receive from the minute you walk in the door. Every dish that was walked by us smelled and looked amazing and I have a piece of lemon cake to be devoured for later. Thank you Pagos for a great dinner experience!!

We were looking for a light lunch to hold us over for a few hours before we went to dinner. We were driving by this place and figured... why not....... Verdict: We should have kept driving until we found something better. Ordered: - Antipasto Salad (with the Feta Cheese Dressing). This was actually not too bad. The Feta Cheese Dressing was unique and tasty. - Meat and Cheese Ravioli (watery and the flavor just was not that great). - Slice of Pepperoni Pizza (thin, sloppy, the toppings just fell off the dough. Very disappointing). The service, as everywhere in Sedona, was great.... the mixture of service + the feta cheese dressing salad is what bumped this review up to a 2 star.

Nothing special about the decor but the food came fast and was good for the price. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice. We had side salads, a side of meatballs, & shared a pepperoni calzone. All were very good! We really enjoyed how genuinely nice the employees were.

Service was great, food is highly recommended. Our server was friendly and kind. Fried ravioli appetizer was generous and yummy. Minestrone was bland and lacked flavor. Cold veggie sandwich wasn't thrilling. The bread was store bought and stale. Its contents were all fresh ingredients and with their creamy feta dressing, I turned it into a salad. I liked that they offer pizza by the slice. Breadstick was good too. --- The best part was the spinach lasagna ----

The minestrone soup was full of veggies and so homemade tasting. Yum! Our pasta was delicious, the ambiance just right and the service very friendly including towards our two year old. Thanks for a nice Sedona dining experience!

Great food. Worth the drive. The feta dressing is almost better than ranch dressing. We had the appetizer plate and split an Antipasto salad and both were delicious. Service was great. I like restaurants that are the "where the locals go"

I really wanted to like this place. It is family owned in a tourist area and I like to support small business. The dining room is very basic with bright lights and checkered tablecloths. Good ol' mom and pop dining. Service was quick at first until we were ready to order. We were not able to get anyone's attention for a period of time. The place was three-fourths empty so it should not have been a problem. I asked the waitress if the canneloni was homemade. She said all of the items in that section, ravioli, canneloni, etc. were not but their sauce is made by them. Dinner included a choice of a bread stick, minestrone soup, garlic bread or a dinner salad. I strayed from the frozen prepared offers and ordered the eggplant parmigiano. My wife ordered the sausage ravioli and we then ordered one of each of the sides. The salad consisted of ordinary iceberg lettuce., one green and one black olive, one slice of pepperoni and 3 slivers of salami. The dressing was ok. Our meals came quickly. My plate was heaping with over-cooked tubular noodles with red sauce and presumably eggplant with the same sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. The sauce could have been poured from a can of tomato sauce as it had no other distinguishable flavor. The noodles must have been sitting in water, covered with sauce then heated. The eggplant was the worst Italian entree I have ever tasted. I believe it was drowned in bread crumbs, smothered in the sauce, layered with mozzarella cheese (parmigiano cheese for a parmigiano dish, please), then zapped. All I tasted was the bread crumbs. The eggplant must have been cut with the same tool as the sliver of pepperoni. It was that thin. The waitress asked about my meal as I had not eaten but a few bites. It was terrible and I told her so. She was surprised and I told her I knew it wasn't her fault. She took my meal off of the tab and then informed me it is her family that owns the place. Rather than drive people away I hope this review comes to the attention of the owners and initiates some big changes.

First time visitor of here last night. Stayed at days inn across the street. It was a freezing night here so I didn't want to drive anywhere. I walked across the street to this joint. Ordered up cheese pizza and wings. Both were yummy and the staff friendly. Recommended.

This is some of the best Italian food in the united states. I have been coming here with my family for years. I live in New York and I still look forward to Pago's exquisite eggplant parmasean dinner. My brother and I often ask each other what has become life's greatest questions, "Garlic Toast or Bread Stick?" The creamy feta salad dressing is divine.

We were famished by the time we hit our hotel room, so I took to my Yelp app and checked for nearby restaurants with good ratings. This little eatery popped up and was literally 30 seconds away, so we were there in a flash! We were greeted promptly by a nice lady who sat us in a cozy booth. Our drink orders were taken by the server assistant, m'lady just got water, but I chose a tasty sounding Porter (and boy was it!). Our server, a very sweet older gal, came over and helped us decide on food (as I had several questions). We started with an antipasta salad (sans meat of course) and the dressing, while a little much on the oil, was very delicious. They even brought extra (a bunch, actually) peperoncinis, cause that's how we roll. For entrees, I had pasta with a lemon sauce and added veggies, and the woman ordered butternut squash ravioli. When the food came, we were both very happy with our meals. The little lady said that it was the best butternut squash ravioli she'd ever had, and she's a bit of a connoisseur. We were both stuffed by the end, but we ordered dessert...duh. We picked the tiramisu. I thought it was pretty good, but next time I'd order it without the chocolate sauce. We'll be back next time we're in Sedona, for sure! Mangia!

This place is slice of Italian heaven in the foothills of Sedona. We arrived very hungry after a long trip here. We ordered two subs and soup along with salads. Here is a short synapsis of the awesomeness of what happened: - they make there bread HOMEMADE. We had and eggplant and chicken parm sub. They were both awesome. You could order any sub. - the minestrone soup was homemade and filled with vegetables and pasta. Awesome - the salad was awesome. We had antipasto salad. All fresh and dressings homemade. - the pasta dishes and noodles were all very good A must stop. Love it.

So "Pago" is short for their Italian surname of Pagato. We found this out because Mr. Pago, the owner, came up and chatted with our group. Mr. Pago also told us the "happenin'" (as happening as Sedona could get after 9 pm). Love this place! Located on the edge of Sedona in a strip mall, Pago's Pizzeria & Italian Cuisine is a casual and family oriented restaurant with delicious food. The wine was very delicious so I don't quite remember what I ordered, but I do remember enjoying it and helping myself to my sisters' and cousin's food. Good food, great service.

We go to Pago's every time we visit Sedona. It has varied a bit, but we usually go for lunch. This time it was dinner and it was GREAT! the pizza was wonderful. The service was fantastic. The meatballs were scrumptious. Why not 5 stars? Well, the music is a little overwhelming and just the consistency is not there. Is it the best in Arizona? I don't think it is, but Italian food is what I live for so I have tried a lot. I would say it may be the best in Sedona though.

  • Greg V.

Pago's was pretty good. The Anti-pasto salad wasn't really like we're used to in other Italian restaurants. I had the lasagna which was pretty good, the ricotta cheese was super creamy. Kind of a trip, but maybe not in a bad way. Everyone else was satisfied with their meals. Real Italian music, and pretty reasonably priced.

The staff was very friendly. The food however was not very appetizing. All of the pasta we ordered was very over done. The pasta was very drippy and mushy. I wish I had something better to say since the staff was very very nice.

This place isn't as great as some other restaurants I've been to. However it isn't too bad considering the choices seem to be a bit more limited up in Sedona. We stopped in for a late lunch during our road trip and it wasn't too busy. The one waitress running the restaurant was friendly, and the prices weren't too outrageous. If you happen to be visiting Sedona and decide Italian sounds good you may want to stop in and give the staff at Pago's a chance.

Good, solid Italian. We had the chicken saltimbocca and spaghetti, meatballs, and sausage. Take out. Nice that a decent salad comes with it. We were happy with the meal.

Ate at Pago's last night - my boyfriend ordered the meat lasagna and I had the chicken Parmesan. The garlic toast was great and the food was not bad. My noodles were unfortunately overcooked but other than that I enjoyed my meal. The service was really terrific and our waiter was very helpful and accommodating.

Amazing, Fantastic, and Super Friendly is all I can say. The food was phenomenal. The service was perfect. The owners are incredibly friendly as well as the entire staff. Just Perfect! I brought a group to this restaurant and was so satisfied and happy with the service that I came back the next day. The staff had changed but again very consistent with the friendly, kind, considerate service. Even the delivery guy was super great. Like I said the food was definetely amazing. If you go there check out the butter nit squash ravioli. The sauce is to die for.... The service was very quick and attentive to every person in our group. The food was heat appropriate and I just can't rave enough about this place.

This is a fun little family owned and operated restaurant. Not necessarily legendary food but they truly treat you like family and the food is pretty darn good! The menu is typical Italian fare...pasta, pizza, sammies, etc. Nancy and CJ (husband/wife owner team) are so personable and down to earth...they'll come chat if they have a few free minutes but they're usually hustling around. Another cool tip...they have a frequent diner type program in which you accumulate money to be used on future purchases. You can let it build up or whatever you want!! Consistent, fair priced food...support local small businesses!!

This place is a 3.5 star...I'd click 4, but my finger just won't let me! We were seated before the dinner rush came through on Sunday, yet it still took FOREVER to get our pizza. It was about a 1/2 hour by my count, and that is a bit much considering there were 3 very hungry children with me. I've been here before, and the service was better that time around. We ordered a large pizza with everything and a pepperoni pizza for the kiddos. Their pizza is really yummy, but I think because they use a LOT of vegetables on the everything pizza, that the dough tends to get a little mushy towards the middle of the pie, so maybe asking for less veggies, or not getting veggies at all would solve this problem. We fed 6 people for $46.00. Can't beat that deal with a stick. I would come here again, maybe take home would be better if we're in a hurry. On a brighter note, the couple who owns and runs Pago's are super friendly and sweet. Ask about the pictures on the wall and they will give you their wonderful family history!

I read the reviews before I went. There were enough mediocre reviews that it made me think twice, but there were enough stellar reviews that I thought, "It can't be that bad." I've lived in Italy and I have worked both as a cook and waitstaff, but I really try to not be a food snob. I try to give reviews that are appropriate for the level of restaurant based on price and how the restaurant promotes itself. My experience with this restaurant is that it seems like one that Robert Irvine should visit and help. I ordered the butternut squash. The antipasto salad arrived on a plate that was frozen, not chilled. The lettuce was translucent like lettuce gets when it freezes in the fridge. The creamy feta dressing was not bad, but nothing special. The butternut squash arrived, and I'm not exaggerating, it was literally floating in a strange, unbelievably greasy butter concoction that was sweet like a syrup. I think they were attempting a brown butter sauce, but it literally looked like a butter soup with ravioli in it. The waiter offered to bring me something else, and I really didn't want it, but I agreed. The lady that I believe is part of the Italian family that I read were the owners brought a meat ravioli with marinara sauce. She never said, "sorry about that" or anything to me. Once again, terrible frozen ravioli with what seemed like canned tomato sauce with no real taste other than salt. The ravioli had not been drained well, and you could see the water pooled on the side of the sauce. Meanwhile, the lady that brought my pasta asks literally every other table except mine how their food is. When the waiter comes back and he asks how I'm doing, I ask for the check. He doesn't offer discount, free dessert, coffee, nothing, even though he takes away a full plate of food for the second time. I pay and start to leave. I see the lady at the front, and I decide to talk to her. I was extremely polite and told her that I had read some good reviews, so I was disappointed to be served such poor quality food. I mentioned the poor condition of the salad, the frozen ravioli. She did say that they didn't make some things on their menu from scratch (understatement since even the garlic bread that I got appeared to be some Costco frozen stuff). The worst part to me is that no one made a genuine attempt to make things right and a shoulder shrug does not count as an apology. Any Italian family should be ashamed to put their name to the slop that I got. It was a waste of $15, and I wish I had just gotten a meatball sub from Subway.

Just finished dinner here, my review is mixed. Wife and one son had ravioli, meat and cheese. It looked and tasted like the frozen stuff we get at the supper market! The sauce was less tasty than Ragu. My other son had a Calzone. This by it self was fairly tasty, but the dipping sauce was the same as mentioned above, so the total meal was just OK. I had chicken saltimbucca (chicken ham and cheese). This came in a butter garlic sauce and was pretty good. If you go to eat here stay away from the ravioli and if you like calzone with out a dipping sauce go for it.

I had dinner one night at Pago's recently while vacationing in Sedona. The location was a short distance from my bed and breakfast location and after a long day hiking, I was ready for some pizza. When I walked into the restaurant, I stood there for a few minutes waiting to be seated. Finally, a lady asked if she could help me and I told her that I was there for dinner. She took me to my table and a server brought me my drink. I told him that I was a ready to order and he said my server would be right with me. My server was the same lady that showed me to my table and I heard him tell her several times over a 15 minute period that I was ready to order. Keep in mind that the place was not crowded and most of the other customers already had their pizza. She finally found the time to leave her chat session and take my order for the Milano pizza. Unlike the time that it took for my order to be taken, the pizza was timely. The Milano pizza was delish. The crust and pesto complimented each other. This was a great pizza! I will go back to Pago's during my next Sedona trip, but I will probably place my order to go.

Needed to find someplace close to our hotel after being dropped off from our all day Pink Jeep Grand Canyon Tour (excellent, btw)...we were starved!! Pago's fit the bill. Had a very tasty Hawaiian pizza in a comfortable casual dining room. The owner enjoyed explaining her historical fam pics on the walls. A nice personal touch!

Hmmm. The salad was quite good and the feta cheese salad dressing was fabulous. The marinara sauce? My gf figured it was nearly straight tomato paste out of the can. W/o spicing of any kind. I am inclined to agree with her. I didn't eat too much of it. Though I did eat one of my 2 ginormous meatballs. Which tasted good but I am pretty sure gave me massive "wind" a few hours later. The garlic bread was very mediocre. My gf's chicken picata tasted good though was extremely rich. The people at the next table had fabulous looking pizza. So, I am thinking if you come to eat here, you should go for the pizza. Service was nice and homey. Atmosphere was welcoming and not too terribly tourist laden. Lot's of owner/server interaction which was sweet. So, miss the marinara sauce but try the pizza.

My family chose this place for dinner at the last minute one night and boy that was a BIG mistake. I have never felt more disrespected and demeaned than I did at this restaurant that night. As soon as we walked in we were looked at like we were aliens from another planet (we're just Californians by the way). We simply got as far as ordering our drinks; the next time the waiter came by I asked if he could bring our drinks before we ordered our entrees because it was so hot out and he said "I can't do that" and just kept on walking. I was baffled. Before I knew it this tall man was standing at our table staring us all down, he stood there and said "this is my restaurant and I don't have to serve you if I choose not to." My family and I all looked at each other in astonishment. We were basically kicked out of the restaurant for NO valid reason at all while every other patron watched. The best Italian food in Arizona. Great service and friendly staff. The owners personally visit with the customers, and ensure that the food and service is the best. Great food and very reasonable prices.

Single waitress working the entire restaurant, but she was incredibly friendly. All staff here were accommodating. Portion sizes for appetizer was huge (12 cheese sticks!), and overall the food was good. I had the veal parmigiana. Was fairly thin, but still cut easily with a fork. Not the best I've had, but far from the worst. Probably would not order it again, but the service here will definitely bring me back. If you're in town and craving some Italian food stop by!

Food was good, service was excellent (it also helped that our waitress with the owl tattoo was really cute - bonus points - LOL). I had the eggplant parmigiana which appears to be homemade and tasty. The garlic bread that came with it was just ok. The Minestrone soup was homepage but a little too salty and garlicky (?) for my taste.

Went to Pagos a few weeks ago with my mom and her service animal. Everyone at the restaurant was wonderful and the food was delicious. We each had the chicken parm and started with the minestrone soup. We shared an appetizer of breaded mushrooms which came with a housemade dipping sauce. I had the bread stick, and trust me, all you need is one. As we were leaving, my mom said "it's as if we created a list of everything we wanted to eat, and Pagos made that come true". Unfortunately we were just visiting, so I won't have Pagos in my life until my next visit to Sedona.

Best pizza in the Village of Oak Creek as well as a great antipasto salad with fabulous homemade dressings in both italian and feta for extremely reasonable. Their homemade soup is amazing as well. I love their eggplant parmigiana. Very friendly, approachable servers. Simple, relaxed atmosphere, for casual lunches or dinners. No outside dining ... their only shortcoming.

What a great little pizza joint! We had the caprese salad, garlic bread, and a thin pizza- half Hawaiian and half margarita. All of it was delicious! On top of that, the server was super friendly! I would definitely come here again!

They have the best minestrone soup I have ever had! I would drive all the way from Phoenix for a day trip to eat there. lol I would caution, that the place is small and gets very packed and full. I would suggest to make reservations if you are going to eat here. Restroom was clean and the servers were very attentive and polite.

Restaurants in the Sedona area sure do close early! Our group had just came back from Antelope Canyon and were starting to get hungry but were too tired to go out and hunt down food. Luckily Pago's was willing to take our order AND deliver it to us! Our orders included: almond parmesan crusted trout, veal piccata, lasagna and the calzone. I can only comment on the trout and piccata since that is what I tasted. The veal was good, nice flavor, very tender. I wish the actual steak was a little thicker because it was a pretty thin slice for the price, but the flavor was awesome. Lots of capers and garlic. The accompanying penne, however, was overcooked so it wasn't al dente. Likewise, the trout could have used a little more flavor and it was slightly overcooked, but the proportion was generous....like....BIGGER THAN MY FACE!....and my face is pretty squishy. The reason I'm adding an extra star is due to their service. The lady who I spoke to on the phone was super patient and friendly in handling all our orders over the phone and even allowed us to tweak our orders based on our dietary habits. Once in a while I bump into a grump when doing phone orders, but she was super great. The delivery guy was super sweet, friendly older guy who delivered our order way past their closing time regardless, which was super appreciated. Sadly, they forgot about my minestrone soup. =(. It was a long day so I didn't want to bother with it seeing that they still took our order so close to closing time. Overall, Pago's satiated my empty stomach and put a smile on my aforementioned chubby face.

My feelings are hurt and I hate to think what his reasons were behind denying us service.

Great food. Worth the drive. The feta dressing is almost better than ranch dressing. We had the appetizer plate and split an Antipasto salad and both were delicious. Service was great. I like restaurants that are the "where the locals go"

Ate at Pago's last night - my boyfriend ordered the meat lasagna and I had the chicken Parmesan. The garlic toast was great and the food was not bad. This is some of the best Italian food in the united states. I have been coming here with my family for years. I live in New York and I still look forward to Pago's exquisite eggplant parmasean dinner.

The staff was very friendly. The food however was not very appetizing. All of the pasta we ordered was very over done. The pasta was very drippy and mushy. I wish I had something better to say since the staff was very very nice.

Mangia!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
