I feel bad for giving them a bad review, but I was just not impressed. I wandered in one Tuesday night in search of something to do. It was my first time in Sedona, and I didnt realize the town completely shuts down by 9pm. I found this place on foursquare and decided to give it a try, since it was basically the only place selling beer that DIDNT have a huge Circle K sign above it. First off the place is pretty small. I think Ive been to Subway restaurants that were bigger than this place. The bartender was very nice and I was serve immediately. But the place just didnt seem like it had anything going on. Two flat screen TVs, showing ESPN & the D'backs game. A handful of locals immersed in their own conversations. And a guy on a laptop at the bar, I think he was the manager. I think if you have a fun group, you can easily make the place fun. But if not, dont expect much.

Mooney's has great prices, great people, great service, and darts! Also, when you get the drunk munchies you can order food from Sugre's Hillside and they will deliver the food to you at the pub, nom, nom, nom...

This place has a great tap beer selection, friendly bar tenders, and a couple cork dart boards. Beer prices are good ($5.50 for a 20 ounce pour). The food is ok and brought in from a restaurant above them. the local bar patrons are friendly. I will be back.

Here is the TRUTH about Mooney's Irish Pub. You'll probably only want to order one drink here, unless you are independently wealthy. My husband and I stopped in after a hike, on a very warm (hot) Sedona afternoon. We ordered a Guinness (not a pint), and a shot of Jack each, and were charged $26! Are you kidding me? Plus, the door was propped open, with no air conditioning on. You might want to think twice about eating there, too. There were 2 women who were sitting at a table behind us, waiting for their fish-n-chips. We were sitting at the bar. We noticed that their food came through the open front door (where in the heck did it come from, a restaurant down the street??), and it was in "to-go" Styrofoam containers. They were given to the bartender, who opened each container, and threw the food on two plates. She then came around the bar and put the plates on the table. We overheard the women talking about how strange it was that the food came in the front door instead of from within the restaurant. They also remarked that the food was cold. It's no wonder! How far did it travel in those Styrofoam containers? We paid our tab and left, and wondered how a place like this can still be in business! All I can say is....beware of this pub!!

Found this nice little bar using Yelp while driving around Sedona on Thanksgiving day. Surprised to find it open and catch some football before heading to my parents house for turkey dinner. Friendly bartender never hurts. They have a good menu from a neighboring restaurant and they can also make a few small things in the bar itself. It does not really have the full Irish bar feel, but for sure a relaxing place to hang ou and have a few.

This is a nice quiet place with a great beer selection. It was pretty dead when I was there and is kind of dark and dreary. It might have just been an off day though. All in all I enjoyed my time there and my husband was thrilled that they had dogfish head 120 minute IPA.

If you're looking for your typical, just like back home hole in the wall Irish pub this is the place for you. They have a small patio out front which is a great place to have a drink and watch the sunset. When everything else is closed in Sedona you can usually find people hanging out here!

I would recommend the clam chowder soup, it was so very good! My friends had the Bangers & mash and the Fish & chips, and all of us loved everything. We had a great time and a great lunch.

A small bar that is only pretending to also be a restaurant. Order a "pub burger" and watch your unpleasant bar mistress pull a patty from a dorm room style refrigerator under the bar and mini microwave it for you, under the bar of course. There is no kitchen because that is the kitchen. If you have too much cash, and need to get drunk, go here and get drunk.

Stopped by after a long day of hiking for some beer and snacks. First thing we learned is that they are incredibly dog friendly- a huge plus since we had our pup with us. We enjoyed a couple Scottish ales on the patio with a great view. Highly recommend the Scottish ale and the Irish Nachos. Great, laid back atmosphere. Can't wait to come back on future hiking trips to Sedona, hopefully when there is live music next time!

This place was right next to the hotel (Kings Ransom) we were staying at so it was an easy walk over and they seemed to have something going on. There was live music playing and the atmosphere was casual and lively. We grabbed a cheese burger and a couple of drinks and enjoyed the music. It's a smallish-but-cozy place and nestled in among other shops and businesses if you want to take a walk and look around.

Although it is small inside good times were had by all, and the guy jammin out on Saturday night was really good! I would go back when back in Sedona. I like that people can hang out in the front. That was a plus considering how small it is inside.

Not bad, though not particularly memorable? Served its purpose though just fine. Great view from the awkward little outdoor "patio" though! Not dissin' it I promise - just...didn't stand out I guess? Maybe it's a different scene at night :)

Mooney's was the first place we passed on our way into town from our hotel, so we looked it up to make sure they were open late (not much in Sedona is and Yelp kept finding listings in Flag) and decided to hit there after dinner. Mooney's is a pretty legit Irish pub with a fully stocked bar and live music, friendly patrons and dogs wandering around, so all in all a decent place to spend a Saturday night. Since it was open late and close to our hotel, we stayed for a good few hours. It mostly cleared out about 1, except for us and a group of local restaurant employees there after their shift.

This is the best beer bar in Sedona (I know, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement, since there are maybe three bars total in the town...), but really, the beer selection here is really nice. The owner used to own a homebrew store in Phoenix and was also a writer for Southwest Brewing News, so knows what's up with beer selections. When we were in, there were some nice Arizona selections, as well as some excellent imports - it was October, so some really great German Octoberfests were on draft. The bartender was great, and the owner chatted with us and gave us some great advice on breweries to visit on our trip to Phoenix!

This place is truly a diamond in the rough. They have great beer and great mixed drinks for a great price all while looking over a beautiful view. The atmosphere is wonderful and the bar tenders are a rare, attentive, and friendly group. You will not find a better bar in sedona.

This is a bar. Do not come here looking for fancy decor or a gourmet meal. The service is great, they are dog friendly and have some great beers on tap. The room is small, but cozy. If you do get hungry, you can order food from a limited menu and it is brought to you from the restaurant upstairs. The food smelled great, although we didn't order anything ourselves. They make a mean Irish Coffee, by mean I'm saying good luck walking a straight line after one. :) This is one of the only places in town that stays open past 9pm. They are open til 2am everyday! I enjoy this place as a casual spot to grab a reasonably priced drink in Sedona. Cheers!

I find it hard to believe after being open for 1 year that this is the first review but whatever. I really liked the pub. They offer a full bar with about 5 or 6 Irish friendly brews on tap. We came in for some food and were quite excited with the fish and chips option but what we didn't realize was that their menu is basically catered in from a neighboring restaurant. No big deal if you like eating your dinner out of a to-go box with plastic ware, which we didn't mind for this specific meal, but we may have minded if we thought we were out for a nice evening. The food was really good regardless of the way it was served. The bar also offers a couple of flat screens for your favorite sports viewing, as well as a couple of dart boards in back for your favorite came of Cricket. The service is friendly and personable...it's Sedona...!! As for a full-blown Irish pub experience, this probably isn't it, but for a few brews with some good food and a chill atmosphere, it's great!

Visited post-hike on a Saturday in July. Our server was a sweet, curly-blonde woman who took good care of us as our group of 9 straggled in. Inside were 4 tables, with one occupied, and the bar. We took (the only) table outside on the detached patio. The tap selection included the recently released Ovila Saison by Sierra Nevada, and several other Belgians along with AZ craft beers and, of course, the expected Irish varieties on tap or in bottles, not to mention a fairly serious selection of Irish Whiskeys. We got a round going and then tackled the bar menu. Half of us were down for some rib-sticking pub food, while the more veg-loving half looked dismally at the sparse menu, not finding any of it appealing. Our server said the food was prepared by "the restaurant upstairs", presumably Shugrues Hillside Grill. Although Shugrues claims numerous awards, notably "Sedona's Best Seafood", the version of fish and chips our table received could nowhere near back up that boast. The surprisingly expensive $13 four-piece of limp fish sticks and undersized sample of frozen french fries was served on a styrofoam plate and came with packets of condiments. Similarly, the bangers & mash was underwhelming and too much money for what we got. The most unlikely dish to anticipate any level of greatness was my own Irish Nachos. At $10, the mess of french fries covered in cheddar cheese, bacon, and Irish sausage turned out to be the best deal on the menu, perfect for a binge eater or hangover fix. Take it or leave it, the food compares to a typical bar that happens to have food -- don't expect too much. But the bar itself should rank high for it's well-chosen beer and spirits.

OK, here we go. First with a name like Kerry, I know Irish and this is one if not the worst Irish pub in AZ. Where do I begin? I don't have any problem with decor, it is what it is and that is not the scale to judge a bar. They also had some good (but pricey) Irish whiskeys. Here is where they went wrong, with this still the last week of September, They dropped 3 of the top four Irish beers to bring in (are you ready) German October beers. WTF! With everything pointing to Harps, Smethwick's, and Kelkenny and not one was to be found, not even in bottle to help make the 50/50 drinks (Black and Tans). They did have Guinness (Thank god for small favors and it was poured perfect). However it gets worse. As we are sitting there making up our minds to stay and hear the live music (which the bartender knew nothing about who was singing). The bartender caught a spider in a pint glass using an empty wine bottle as a topper and trying to determine what kind of spider it was. So here is the picture, wife and my self-sitting with only one Irish beer between us, two seats to my right the bartender is using her phone App and phone light trying to determine what spider she caught. People are asking for Irish Beer or black and tans with a sorry, we don't have any Irish beers in. Not only that there was also no bottle beers (London Pride by Fuller). I feel for the staff, I would be more interested in spiders than telling everyone that this Irish Pub had no Irish Beer. Where is Bar Rescue when you need it?

Great beer and margaritas! Extremely friendly! They gave our dog a bowl of water too!

First of all, let's just be up front with a simple fact. You can't call yourself an Irish bar simply because you have Harp and Guinness on tap. The decor reminded me more of a college dorm room rather than a proper public house. One more reason to leave Sedona to the masses of tourists.

We went on Sunday- only one gal handling everything, bar & food, still she was excellent. Best fish & chips...efficient and tasty. Also went upstairs to Oh My Ganash...fabulous pastries...so drop into Hillside.

Inside is pretty plain, but it's a good place to have a quiet beer and watch the sunset since it is down the road a bit from the center of town. They have a couple of tables and a bench outdoors. Didn't try the food.
