Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

Felisha, their manager is highly disappointing! It was our daughters 6th birthday party of 8 people and we decided it would be a great idea to place a to go order at Texas Roadhouse to make things easier for the party. We always go out to Texas roadhouse on every birthday and are very loyal customers. However, we haven't been back due to our terrible experience with Felisha, their manager and we will not be back again. Our daughters party started at 6:00pm, we put in a togo order at 5:00pm and was told the order would be ready at 5:45. We arrived there prior to 5:45 to find that the togo order was not ready and was told it would take a few minutes, no problem. However, 30 more minutes went, we go to inquire about our order and again, told it would be out right away. Another 15 minutes, no togo order. By this time, our party had already started 30 minute ago and so we asked to speak with a manger. Felisha came and told us that she would have it out right away. Another 15 minutes passed. We talked to Felsiha again and she informed us that due to the size of our order and that we placed such a big order for 8 people, that would constitute the delay of an hour late, she didn't care, she blamed it on us for placing such an apparent big order and offered no apology. We didn't receive the order, until 1 hour and 15 minutes after the time it was due. So, it took literally 2 hours to complete a togo order for 8 people. We saw people coming in and eating and then watched them leave after eating, meanwhile, no togo order. It appeared to be some sort of a game. By this time, we were getting no where with Felisha so we left to attend our daughters party. We get back, the order is wrong. We then call Texas Roadhouse and were directed to speak with Felisha. Once again, she did not care, offered no apology, was ego ridden and condescending. She then advised us that she would replace one missing Chili that they'd missed and we paid for and dismissed the other corections. At this point, we'd had enough and asked to speak with the owner, Jason. She stated that he would call us, unshockingly, that day never happened. Since then, we've called numerous times within almost a month timeframe, and every time, we have the misfortune of speaking with Felisha, every single time. The people at the desk, all tell us that Jason is there every time but Felisha will not let us speak to Jason. She takes messages, then Jason never calls us. It is obvious that Felisha appears to be hiding calls from the owner, Jason. This is a real shame to have such an untrained, unprofessional, uncaring, condescending individual apparently running the front of this business.

Not happy. The food is just ok. The wait staff and management are truly horrible! My last time there was a nightmare and I'll never go back. They couldn't get the most simplest of order, and kept ruining my experience every time they came back to the table. Just not worth it.

After my experience at the Texas Roadhouse today, I can say I'm much happier with this location than my last visit. My wife and I are both veterans, so we decided to take advantage of the free meal Texas Roadhouse was offering veterans and active duty on Veterans Day. This alone raises their esteem. However, it was the service, and the meals we had, that made us both very happy. To start, despite being a free meal, the portions were huge. The food was excellent, and my wife's steak was cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding. This visit really turned around my opinion. I hope to have such an excellent visit next time.

Oh em geeee this is THE best gay bar in Prescott. The men do line dancing and a magical birthday song. I feel like I am watching Hugh Jackman win a Tony Award. The food is buttery delicious and the man gravy is sooooo good. Only four stars because the men's room smelled poopy.

Texas Roadhouse has what you're looking for! They cut their steaks, fresh everyday and I have never had a bad meal or bad service. Love the TV's around the bar with local advertisers playing along side of the sporting event to see what's in town. Only time service gets slow is when they get really busy, but that's understandable. Prescott has a lot of restaurants, but none as great as Texas Roadhouse for the price and value, plus I love peanuts and they never run out. Visiting Prescott and the Quad Cities, you need to eat at the Texas Roadhouse, so much better than downtown restaurants.

I ate dinner here last night with high hopes since I love ribs, but I was disappointed. First, the rolls they serve are similar to sweet Hawaiian rolls and come with cinnamon butter. Before dinner? Not as dessert? I wish the server had told us about the cinnamon butter when we were seated because I absolutely hate cinnamon. I had to spit out the bite I took. I asked for regular butter instead, but even with regular butter the rolls were too sweet for me. As an appetizer I ordered a caesar salad. It should be impossible for a salad to be bland, but somehow it was. It was just lettuce and croutons with some dressing - no parmesan, and the dressing was not flavorful. For my entree I ordered the ribs and a side of mashed potatoes with brown gravy and cheese & bacon. The flavor of the mashed potatoes was good, but the bacon bits were so hard that they hurt my teeth. Little bacon-flavored rocks. On the other hand, the ribs were the best I've ever had in my life. They fell right off the bone so that I didn't need to pick up a single rib with my fingers, the BBQ sauce was delicious, and the outside was nice and crispy. They were just amazing ribs. Unfortunately, I will never return because nothing else was good. Edit: I forgot to mention the service, which was great. Our server was attentive and quick.

It's a good atmosphere.. Service was a little slow and the ribs were dry.. The butter for the bread was great and the peanuts on the table are cool... I'd come back but try something besides the ribs... Also try the Cheri-limeade

Went to Texas Roadhouse with my elderly parents and their senior friends, another couple. Texas Roadhouse is always extremely noisy with amplifying walls and the music is always deliberately loud and you cannot carry a conversation. When we were then served our food, we had already made several complaints to a woman manager to kindly ask for them to turn the music down... we were asked to leave, told we were inappropriate aged customers and please never to return or the police would be called. We then spoke with Texas Roadhouse corporate for the $50+ in meals thrown cold into bags, however our calls went unreturned. This is how you treat our military veterans and respected seniors...?? Will never return to this establishment again in any state. Would have rated it 0 stars, but I managed one bite of my steak before they threw it in the box and showed us the door. Never again.

Great service and ribs melt in your mouth. Try the onion appetizer for a true happy stomach. Good wine, but pricey for house wine. Corn is delicious as a side. Enjoy, we certainly did.

It had been a long time since I had eaten at a Texas Roadhouse and I had some time to kill when I was waiting for a business meeting to start. I had completely forgotten how good their ribeye steaks are. I am not sure there is a better ribeye when you consider the price. As always, the bread was great, a decent salad and a nice baked potato. Throw in the free peanuts and this place is a winner. I sat at the bar and service was friendly and efficient.

Food is exstreamly salty!!!! To loud for conservation. Service is good, friendly and fast. Would be a 3star if it wasn't fir the salt.

I've eaten here about a half dozen times. always enjoyed it. This review is for the Early Dinner special which is not the sort of thing I usually do. I decided to see what I would get on the cheap. I was blown away. Giant 22oz icecold beer ( $3) to wash down the complimentary peanuts in a shell to munch on while I decided. Dinner was an exceptionally good tasting, perfectly cooked and seasoned thick rare sirloin steak. Big ol' fluffy baked potato with butter & sour cream, crisp ceasar salad, with a basket of hot fresh rolls and cinnamon butter. Delish and I was stuffed. The service was extra friendly and attentive, and food timing was just right. Here's the kicker... $12.98 including tax. Yes... $13 bucks. WORTH 5 STARS. This is now my weekly excursion.

5 star service, 3 star food. As a firefighter's daughter I was concerned about how we'd all get out in case of emergency. All of the 4 seater tables had 6 people at them and it was a bit of a maze, overall. The hostess had to pause and figure out how to actually get to our table. I'm sure they're up to code, but common sense seemed a bit lacking in the layout. The first time I came here I was vegetarian and quite unhappy with their "veg plate"- you "get" to choose 4 sides. So you can have corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes for dinner. Doesn't that sound delicious and full of protein? Keep a few veggie burgers in the freezer for us freaks... it's not that hard. Felt rather ripped off. Now that I eat meat occasionally I agreed to go with my husband... it was okay. It was PACKED, with a lonnng line for a wait, but we were seated immediately because there were only 2 of us. Score! The hostesses were very sweet and our waitress was very attentive. The manager came to check on us, too. Seriously, 5 star service. While our food was prompt, my medium rare hamburger was actually super well done. Not a speck of pink. I'm sure they would've remade it, but I was hungry enough not to care. Aren't they known for their meat? I was disappointed. There were a LOT of little kids, but it was busy and very noisy overall so it was at a white-noise level. I'd feel good taking kids there without worrying.

Slow service and slow food. Inconsistent food quality, steak overdone and dry, not as ordered. Coffee was cold. Took over a hour to get our food, though the place was almost empty (lunchtime) We won't be back!

My family and I ate there a few weeks ago and it's the perfect place for a fun gathering with a group. The portions are generous and the ambiance is quite lively. Dancing, birthday singing and very busy on the weekend. Food is decent, nothing super great for the price.

Our 1st experience, very nice. Service was excellent, service manager stopped by table to welcome us. Had the bone in ribeye, perfectly seasoned and prepared. Wife had ribs and pulled pork. Pulled pork was very nice, did not enjoy the ribs, too spicy for her taste although server assured her the spice was mild. Minor flaw in an otherwise very nice dinner.

I stopped in here Saturday with my sister and her kids for a weekend catch-up session. Our waiter was very lackluster, not much personality and not much of a waiter, either. Did not remove used dirty dishes, keep our glasses filled, or, in fact, pay us much attention at all after taking our order. All of our food (appetizer, salads, entrees and the to-go I ordered) were brought by another member of the waitstaff. My sister's top sirloin came out overdone. We couldn't find our waiter, but we flagged a waitress and she sent the manager over. The manager was a shining star, and the reason for the four stars as opposed to 2 or 3. It was obvious he was working very hard to keep everyone happy, and he was very polite and apologetic. He brought her a new steak, this time nicely done. He took our empty plates that had accumulated from our waiter's neglect and told us he would tell our waiter to "get his butt over here" and take care of us. After that our waiter did appear and put on the steam a little, but it was clear he simply didn't possess the "hustle" to be in such a demanding line of work.

I have given this place a chance one too many times. Last time I went there was definitely the last straw for me. I went out with my grandparents and we decided to give the place another shot, my grandmother ordered the mac and cheese because she had just gotten work done on her teeth and it is all she could eat. The mac and cheese came out ice cold the first time so we sent it back after HUNTING down the manager, then the second time it came out it had been microwaved and you could see the crusty film over the top that you get when overheating pre-made mac and cheese so we sent it back again, and the third time was just ice again. So this was the first issue with that night. Second thing that night was that our waitress had gotten all of our drink orders wrong, forgot to refill them multiple times, and at one point dropped a whole tray of drinks across out table because she was trying to fit everything on her tray at once when she clearly wasn't strong enough to do so. Third, I had ordered a steak medium rare and somehow I ended up with a well done steak that was cooked so much I couldn't even swallow it. I felt like I was eating a rubber shoe. The manager refused to even compensate for any of the issues during this night. NEVER again will I go back to this place.

Went with a large group. Used call ahead seating (not same as reservation) and was seated right away. Standard chain steakhouse fare. Steaks in our group were all done correctly. Great Ribs. All in all good for a "not breaking the bank" Steakhouse.

Bloody Marvelous. Period. You couldn't get water for the cost of a meal there in CA. Rib Eye to die for. My friend had p. ribs. Gezz great. Noise level high, but never interfered with our conconversation. Great people watching. Huge family's. Just awfully wonderful to see. A typical all round AMERICAN family oriented experience. Wish I could experience it in CA. Flying there for a steak and the experience, could get expensive. Please open one in CA. anywhere. PLEZZZZZZZ.

I had grill shrimps but it was too salty for me. The steak was okay. The mash potato and butter corn was good. The service was great. They serve sweet bread and peanut as complimentary before your order come out.

Yes it is a chain restaurant, but wow what a gorgeous view. This place has a very good menu with lots to choose from. The service is very good also. If you like southwest Texas food this place is great.

  • Steve M.

I have eaten here several times. Their steaks are great the service is fast and friendly. I did not go at rush hour however, and the noise level was not bad. I have not been disappointed. They serve a meanly delicious prime rib with just a hint of mesquite smoke flavor. Yeah, it's a chain but I'd go back again (& have). Try to avoid the crowds if possible so your service doesn't suffer.

Visited here Saturday night and it was nice! We visit TR up in Peoria frequently so we know at times they can get busy, but not this Sat. night. We were seated right away, got our food very quickly and were in and out within about 45 minutes.

love this place a lot.. love their steaks, not gonna lie.. i call this place the cowgirl version of hooters.. just cause they all all are hot country girls and with more clothes on and no implants.. lol.. ok back to their steaks! the price is just right! and the steaks are made just the way i like 'em.. good service too.. oh and the bread and that apple butter is to die for.. i always gotta have that!!

This is an excellent steakhouse. Here's what I'd recommend you get: the tater skins. They are so good! Here is thing: a lot of the food is really salty. So if you don't like that, you can get one of the many steaks or ribs. So it's it a complaint at all; I like salty foods and steak so I'm good with both. The staff is very kind, and you won't have to wait a very long time to get your food. Really, give this place a try. You'll enjoy it.

  • Picky Eater H.

4 stars for what it is. The food is always good, and the caesar salad is really a treat. I did not expect such a good caesar at a chain steakhouse. Like so many places, it gets noisy when it fills up, but I do not downgrade its rating for that. We go there a little earlier, that's all. Our service has always been good.

From the moment we walked in the door everything was Excellent. The food ...I had the the sirloin and ribs combo wife had the country fried chicken. All were superbly prepared. Our server Laney did a wonderful job keeping glasses filled and checking on us. Note: this is only the second review I've ever written.

I have eaten here several times. Their steaks are great the service is fast and friendly. I did not go at peak times however, and the noise level was well within acceptable limits. I have not been disappointed. 4-26-2012 another great meal with excellent friendly service.

Chose Texas Roadhouse after being on the road all day, and locally owned dining options in Prescott seemed limited. It's one of the few chains we patronize. Pluses: friendly staff, manager stopped by with a next-visit coupon, good value both steaks and 22 oz beers, family-friendly, and prompt service. Gripes: Texas Roadhouse is always noisy with hard walls and music deliberately loud that frustrates family conversation. Doesn't seem to bother the young families, but we never like it. Caesar Salad is a disappointment. If you think this review with photos is useful, funny or cool, I'd appreciate your feedback below.

Do not order the fried pickles they come burnt . Do not order a 16 on new York strip and ask it med it will come charcoal on the 0utside. But the server was very good. He was attentive. My aunt ordered the ribeye rare and it came well done

  • Jacob S.

Very good Ribeye, loved the menu. Excellent margaritas, and the servers were pro. Too much salt in the food, needed to drink a gallon of water afterward. All around good experience. Will eat there again.

I have to agree on this one with Mark totally! I have no idea who in our group decided to visit this chain restaurant when there are a lot of local business to choose from in Prescott, Arizona. I just went there to join our group, have some beer, and have an appetizer. I ordered an appetizer from the menu which was shrimp skewers. Whe i got my appetizer it was 1 skewer with 3 shrimp on it layed on top of a hard piece of bread. I thought it was a reasonable price to pay $8 for an appetizer but when i got my dish i was very dissapointed. Best part of this place was only the 22oz beers.

I think the original name of this chain was Texas Roadkill. I didn't give it one star because our waitress was awsome (Kaela). We went there with a large group. I ordered the prime rib. The price was very reasonable, but after Kaela brought the meal, the meat was cold. Also, whatever they used to marinate the meat was horrible. It was salty with a terrible aftertaste. I never send my food back, but this time, I had to. I just couldn't eat the prime rib. The baked potato was excellent, but how can you screw up a baked potato? If the opportunity presents itself, I'd be willing to give it another try, but I'd never recommend it to anyone. This experience reinforces my hatred of chain-owned businesses. My advice when in Prescott.... head to Whiskey Row. You can't go wrong.

Why I haven't written a review for this place before now is beyond me.... My wife and I eat here fairly often, and we often meet friends here for dinner as well. Our favorite day to eat here is Wild West Wednesday, where you can get a good steak for around $10. Throw in an appetizer and a cold beer for me and Jamaican Cowboy for my wife an we are happy campers. We came here again last night in celebration of two friends' birthdays. My wife and I both agree our steaks were seasoned and grilled to perfection - hard to do with smaller steaks - we like ours RARE. This was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had at any family steak restaurant. This Roadhouse has consistently served up great food and provided great service since they opened and the prices are so affordable. That's why we keep coming here. Will they compare favorably to those fine dining establishments with $75 steaks? Nope. Would I ever eat a $75 steak? Nope. I love this place. I like being a regular here and being recognized by several of the staff whenever we do come in. It's unpretentious, comfortable, and I always leave with a bigger smile than the one I came in with.

Ehhh... I can live with the slow service and cheeses decor.. But what is up with all the PDA? Can't some of these couples just keep their hands to themselves? -2 stars for the things I cannot u see..

Always a great meal. The early dine deal for $8.99 is awesome - tasty steak, baked potato and salad - can't beat it when taking the entire family out for a casual meal. Steaks are always good and cooked to order. I typically don't like "chains" like this, but these guys do it right - every time. Thumbs up and a yee haw for this place.

I have been coming here since they opened several years ago. I like the fact that the food is always consistently good. The steaks and prime rib are always excellent. My only complaint is that the experience always feels rushed by the servers. They are usually asking me if I am ready to order before my drink arrives. Also, I make a point to tell them not to bring my entree until I finish my salad. Many times I had gotten my salad and then my entree 3 minutes later. Their service is VERY fast once you sit down which may appeal to some people. I will still come here when I crave a good steak.

My husband and I went to Texas Road House for our 11 year anniversary. As we go there often. When we got our drinks, there was a dead bug in my drink. I immediately got the waitress and asked for a new drink. when we got our food. it was like it sat in the kitchen for a few minutes. It was not at all what we expected. when we got our receipt to pay. the waitress didn't even have the curtacy to at least comp the bug tea. when the floor manager came. she wasn't even told about the bug. the service was terrible and very disappointing.

Went in for the Wild West Wednesday Special - 8 oz Sirloin Dinner for $9.95. Served with a Baked Potato, House Salad (with cheese, tomato & hard boiled egg) and hot dinner rolls. The service was great, Steak was cooked correctly, tender and juicy. Potato was light and not too dense, salad crisp and fresh, rolls were very good. The value was fantastic. I've been here several times. Always ordered steak and tried a few different cut. So far there have been no mistakes and service has been consistently top notch. I'm surprised that a chain does so well. This is not a quiet restaurant. But I've never had any trouble with conversations. Value to quality and service, I'm surprised to find this to be my favorite place in Prescott for steak. - I you feel this review is Useful, Funny, or Cool, please check the boxes below. Thanks.

If you want to spend time and enjoy someone's company, this is not the place. It's extremely loud with an annoying balloon man interrupting us twice. The line dancing and birthday song were so distracting, the food was marginal. I thought we were on "Candid Camera" and someone was going to tell us it was a joke.

    (1)
  • Dharma B.

Their food's OK, like their cinnamon butter, but don't bother going if you intend to have a conversation or a date. IT'S SO LOUD!!! They crank up the music so you have to shout, they make the waitstaff do that lame line dancing (how about refilling my drink instead?), and it is just an overall hick environment with high-priced food. I'd rather go to Poor Red's in P.V.

  • James R.

The servers were great, always checking to see that we were okay, always making sure we were promptly tended, service was wonderful, the other three guys that were with me were kinda hi maintenance, so the girls were running all the time, we all thoroughly enjoyed the steak and salad, I myself don't get out that much, and was very pleased that I did. Especially there.

Third trip to Roadhouse since they opened in Prescott. Last trip. Wait staff is nice. We both had ribeye steaks mine the 16 and my wife's the 12oz. We ordered them medium .due to the explanation in the menu pink hot inside. My wife had a steak that was very close to well done and mine was past medium . They offered her another steak and she asked for it medium rare, it was closer to medium. This has happened all 3 times they don't seem to be able to cook a steak. Last visit!
