If it was possible to rate this place ZERO, I would do so. Cold and rainy day , I want a simple drink, in the late afternoon. Soy latte. And the fellow behind the counter tells me they are out of soy. Not only that but he says , ALL THE STARBUCKS in Prescott are also out of soy! You have got to be kidding me! It's not snowing . There's not a rail or truck strike. Soy still grows in the Midwest. The worst possible business decision that the Prescott managers made today was to not find a way to problem solve the Soy Milk shortage. Area manager has been alerted and all of my business is lost . And I buy for up to 20 people at a time per order . Foolish people .

Friendly staff, clean and nice, just beware of the "Locals that are there every day" as the woman identifying herself as such put it. They act like this is their personal dining room or party hang out and make it clear that this is their space. Other than these customers that make it clear they are there every day and it is their space when they are, so they run things, like demanding the AC be turned colder even tho it was already cold in the building and then talking so loud you can't hear anything but them it is a nice location. If you can manage to avoid the every day people you will be fine, I guess just don't go here between 10am-2pm or if you do don't plan on staying unless you want to know way more about people you don't care about than is appropriate. Like I said staff is nice and a little to nice to these arrogant and abusive locals.

I'm in shock!. I love Starbucks I'm actually from California so it's kind of a necessity for our every day life out there. I've been living in Prescott for three months, and decided to go in and get a Carmel apple cider. I sat down because of how long it was taking to make my drink. When I got up to receive my drink I looked down the bar thinking it wasn't ready, but it was sitting there without a lid. The Barista was chatting with a lady who was behind me in line earlier, I noticed she was holding a lid for her personal mug. My drink still sitting there waiting for it's own plastic lid, as the Barista made this OTHER customers iced tea. She then poured the ice tea into the ladies mug handed it to her and asked her about her next drink which was very much behind my drink! Then looked down and saw my drink, topped it with caramel, put the lid on, and handed it out. Not to me, but just on the counter. Mind you, she did not yell out the name of the drink or who it was for. I have never received such bad service at Starbucks before. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Time for an update. Yes the bums run the place and some expect special treatment because they have become rather demanding from a weak staff that seems to be afraid to say anything.

The place is always dirty. There are always bums there stinking up the place. They don't even ask your name to put on the cup so it can get confusing when people order the same thing. For not having a drive thru you would think the place would have less issues. Sink always looks full of dirty dishes.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for Starbucks except... the staff at this location is SO friendly and cheerful. Every single time. Every single person. They treat you like a regular. They care if you come back. They're happy where they work and never make you feel like they're too cool for school. You never have to wait long even with all the friendly banter or time they take to explain things, and it's a high volume establishment. This is only one of two coffee shops in town that are open late (til midnight during summers, I believe). Others close at 3 and 7 pm (including another Starbucks). A few by 9 pm. Method coffee, out by Embry Riddle University on Willow Creek is the other shop that stays open as late. It's quieter, a tad cheaper, but smaller and not as convenient to downtown. You can walk to this one from the square. It's crowded evenings and weekends and often noisy-- including the music. The AA crowd uses it heavily for meetings. Bring your earplugs during peak times if you need to think. Headphones don't cut it. There is an outdoor patio, but you'll have to sit amongst the smokers... it's not always an escape from the noise. The staff won me over at this location. Starbucks as a chain, is slowly winning me back with their rewards card program. I'm at the level where all refills on regular brew and iced coffee are free... which helps take the sting out of their higher prices in general. The quality of their coffee is always yummy. I'm a student and the public and college libraries (except for Embry Riddle, again a bit farther out of the way) aren't open late. Barnes and Nobles is long gone but there is an independent bookstore just off the square. This shop is one of the few places in town left to go with a book/PC after dark.

It's a Starbucks like any other Starbucks. Reasonably fast, but maybe I just luck out. The location has some of my favorite baristas, but some creepyish clientele from Granite Creek Park.

I was camping nearby so stopped to check my email. This place was very sad. The place was very messy. The bathroom needed to be cleaned. The service was very slow. They are also the only Starbucks who said I could not refill my black tea lemonade. I wont be coming back.
