Uptight and overpriced for what you're getting. You're better off getting a room at the Motor Lodge down a few blocks. The owners are a million times nicer, much more accommodating, and know that they're walking distance from night life. Stay anywhere else. Please!

This historic red brick hotel is ideally located on the corner of Prescott's famous Whiskey Row across the street from the Courthouse Plaza. Within walking distance of fabulous shops, galleries, bars, restaurants, and the numerous Arts & Crafts shows that line the Courthouse Plaza. Room rate includes free WiFi and a voucher for free (or $5 off) hot breakfast in the attached bistro. Travel back in time in the hotel's historic Otis elevator. Rooms are moderately priced, especially considering the location and full breakfast included. This hotel is bigger than it looks with three floors and complimentary coffee in the lobby. The only drawback to this hotel is its proximity to The Palace, so you may want to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper and your room faces Montezuma Street. Also, garage parking may cost $5/day (at least there was a fee over Memorial Day Weekend during the Phippen Museum Western Art Show & Sale. Yes, even hotel staff had to pay for parking.

Great location!! Right on the corner of Whiskey Row, stumbling distance to all the bars you could ever need. It's a really cool old hotel, but the rooms have a vintage feel instead of run down and just old. Big beautiful staircase, and one of those ancient elevators you have to close the gate on, which was awesome. The restaurant downstairs has an amazing breakfast, which is included in the room price. You actually get the choice of a classic english breakfast, or you can just have 10$ off another meal on the menu. Definitely would come back.

My parents, husband and I stayed here this past Monday night. It's right on Whiskey Road, across from the town square. I was really excited to stay here, and the hotel itself, as well as its surroundings, are beautiful! We walked in, and though my parents had reserved their room days before, my husband and I were last minute bookers. They were able to find us a room close to my parents, and gave us our free breakfast vouchers. Our room had a wonderful view of the park, and while it was a small room, we were only going to be sleeping there and only for one night. The bathroom in our room, though, was very interesting. It was tiny, with a square tub that nobody could possibly lounge in, though it was deeper than a straight shower would have been. My gram gram had one of these tubs growing up. I could lay in it when I was 4. Then I turned 5 and was too tall. The bathroom, beside it's wonder-of-nature layout, had really cool old fixtures. The rest of the hotel is really old school in a cool way. It's modern enough that there are AC units, but vintage enough to make it feel like you're back in time. They have an old elevator that has the gate across it...it's really neat. Our AC blew REALLY cold, but my parents said that there's blew warm, and even though they set it to its lowest temperature, it was cooler outside. The hotel breakfast was awesome. With your voucher, you can either get a free standard breakfast of coffee, eggs, toast, breakfast meat and potatoes or $5 off a menu item. All four of us when with the standard breakfast, and we were all really impressed! We were sort of expecting what you get at other hotels; you know, powdered eggs, sausage links that are pathetic looking, weak coffee and bulk-made bread. Nope. These were real eggs, cooked to order, big, thick sausage links, really tasty coffee and what we all assumed was fresh made bread. It was a good way to start a day! If I'm in the area ever again, I would really want to stay here. Staff that was friendly, great views, and awesome vibe, and a really great location.

Stayed here for the weekend and it was very cozy. Comfortable beds and pillows and very clean. Excellent free breakfast and the biggest thing for me was the excellent customer service from Cassandra and the other girl at the desk who didn't have the same name as my roommate so I can't remember it. Also they have good water pressure for people with long hair in the shower.

What a quaint hotel! I liked the historic feel to it and though our room was small, it served its purpose. The staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly and there is free WiFi. We were in town for a race and it couldn't have been located in a better place. We were able to park right down the street for free (Saturday and Sundays: no meters) and it was right next to where we picked up our packets and began our run on Whiskey Row. We missed out on the complimentary breakfast, but the previous reviews all seem to be positive. The elevator kinda creeped me out but I had to ride it once. Otherwise, I enjoyed taking the squeaky creaky stairs, reminded me of home. Clean room with all the basic amenities, a bit pricey for the size but the experience, location and service makes it worth it.

I was a customer here for 10 years, until my last stay and I will never stay there again due to the way they treated me and the fact that I had a service animal. I called them 2 weeks in advance to find out if they needed to see her service animal papers or if there were any other issues and they said no. Then, after I checked out, I was charged $135 for ONE NIGHT as a cleaning fee, which they never told me about. My dog weighs 4 pounds and was barely ever in the room and did absolutely no damage. When I called them about the charge they basically gave me the finger. It makes me sad because my whole family and many friends have stayed there in the past, but none of us will ever stay there again.

Our stay at the St Michael on 4/6/15 was fantastic. Large quiet room on the 3rd floor with a full breakfast included in the room cost. Our first visit and I highly recommend it. This place has lots of character. This place is a MUST SEE. It is located right downtown close to restaurants (the Taj Mahal Indian restaurant just down the street is also highly recommended) and shops. If you like used bookstores check out the The Old Sage in the hotel shops.

My two daughters and I booked a room at the St. Michael without reading about it's haunted history. It is located on the corner of the two main streets making it convenient to everything! When we arrived, my youngest REFUSED to step foot in the old, cage elevator. She opted for the stairs which turned out to be a real task for an eight year old with a suitcase... She told me later the elevator gave her the creeps and she felt cold air coming from it into the lobby. After comparing the elevator to the Tower of Terror at California Adventure, she reluctantly took a ride. The ride went without incident and she was thrilled by it's uniqueness. We did explore the hotel after dinner. It was clean, quiet, and well maintained. Our room had a king-size bed and faced Gurley Street. We enjoyed watching the tipsy patrons stumble out of The Drunken Lass at all hours, but were surprised that the noise level remained low (live band and all). The staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. The complimentary breakfast at the St. Michael Bistro (on the first floor) was delicious. The only minor complaint we had was the water pressure in the shower. It was actually overly pressured! All things considered, this is a 100+ year old hotel that is in excellent condition...

We've stayed there for a weekend for the past 5 years. We love it. We love the fact they manage to keep it glued together so beautifully. The elevator always brings a smile to my face. OH!!! and the PILLOWS!!! They are so big and comfy., they are wonderful. The noise from Whiskey Row? It gives the hotel "character". The staff? Helpful, friendly, and pleasant. It's really one heck of a great hotel.

Road trip with bf and she had researched Whiskey Row and we wanted historic and location. We had one night here before heading back to the Bay area. We got the last room with a queen bed and for $79 I was not expecting much. I have stayed in many old historic hotels and this was better than I expected. Yes the mattress was not the best but better than many. The room was good sized with air to offset the tiny window and we loved it. The price of the room included a hot breakfast in their restaurant and it was delicious. We also had evening cocktails (ok a little before evening) in their bar and the staff was wonderful and the prices were very doable. The staff at St. Michael went out of their way to accommodate us, yes the elevator was creaky (reminded me of Paris) but that is what makes it fun, plus you only use the elevator for taking luggage up and down, right! The rest of the time we used the stairs. We were out enjoying the night life so when we finally got back to the room I slept very soundly. Hotel St. Michael made Prescott fun for us and I will stay here if I ever visit Prescott again. Loved the town and the hotel.

Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. Should I go on? Granted, I am a scaredy cat and hotels that have a reputation for being haunted aren't my cup o' tea. Yet, my mom still somehow managed to talk me into staying here and boy did I regret it. It's not that anything especially scary happened (except for the fact that ANY time we would leave our room and turn out the lights, they would always be back on by the time we returned), it was just the history of the place and the spooky stories I've heard about it that gave me the heeby jeebies. Although they've tried to modernize the rooms, the hotel itself is steeped in history and if nothing more, is a cool building to see. Plus you can't beat the location if you want to check out the shops or nearby restaurants, just don't stay here if you're scared by things that go bump in the night.

  • Angela O.

the staff, the cafe, the location, the building, and the history are wonderful. unfortunately the rooms are teeny, loud, and a bit overpriced. they advertise free breakfast with your stay, but really it's a coupon they give you for $5.50 off their menu, which is overpriced to begin with. false promises piss me off.

This hotel was built in 1901. TR was slept there. I stayed four nights. Bed great! TV/Cable great! Electrical outlets - poor. They need to be upgraded. It is an old hotel. A/C - Window unit. This had the first window unit I have seen in years. Heat - We had some cool nights. They had a "base board" set up. Restaurant - the "bistro" at the hotel is great. I enjoyed the food. Just note they are only open 7AM - 2PM. Handicap - They provided a shower chair. Vending - Soft drink machine on the second floor. WiFi - Provided Staff - Friendly. I am simply spoiled by modern hotels with room service that includes all meals, have gyms, business centers, etc. But you do get atmosphere! It is interesting. I believe most would enjoy it. Note: Prescott is about 5,400 feet above sea level.

So, this place is an old, historic hotel. Don't stay here if you expect brand new, modern stuff. Now that that is clear, if you love history? Like to stay in old hotels? Like awesome customer service and great hotel rates? Can handle an older, clean, well maintained little bathroom with a tub from the 1950's? Like closet lights that turn on with a string? Would like to ride in one of the oldest elevators in AZ? Would like a free breakfast from the old, clean, awesome historic bistro next door? Like to stay in hotels with fun secrets, like an old, cool ass underground bar that's being renovated for opening at some point in the future? Like degs, music, good food and cool old bars? Love unique eclectic shopping opportunities and some of the best antiquing in the state? Well, then YES! Stay here and have a BUNCH of fun. Roam around the old place, chat up the front desk staff, eat good food, sleep in the comfortable new pillowtop beds with new linens and know for all this great stuff, your only trade off will be limited outlets for your gadgets and sleeping with ear plugs cause ANY hotel you stay at can be loud, although we found this place super quiet. If you're not a jerk, have the right expectations and love historic hotels, then STAY HERE! IF you're a jerk, don't like history, have bad taste, unreasonable expectations and are an all around sour puss, don't stay here. Stay at the Days Inn, in Chino Valley, where you belong!

Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable rates, clean rooms, A+ location, excellent breakfast in the bistro. The hotel is older, which adds to the charm. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Prescott!

If you know your travel needs and select a hotel based on those needs you will not be disappointed with Hotel St. Michael. This hotel is located directly on whiskey row. So if you plan on spending your night bar hopping this hotel is within stumbling distance from the bars. That being said, if you are a traveller who appreciates modern design with updated technology you will be disappointed. The design is more traditional with outdated televisions. The floors creek inside your room and also in the hallway. For me, this hotel was exactly what I was looking for and I will definitely be returning. One last thing, the complimentary breakfast is great. Not your typical hot cakes and oatmeal so definitely take the time to wake up early and try breakfast in the hotel's restaurant.

My family has been coming to this hotel for 23 years and all of the sudden the policies changed. So if you have a family larger than 2 adults and 2 children they won't allow you to check in. So don't bring a child that is over 12. The only good thing is the old style of the hotel. The staff is garbage. Complete utter garbage. I work at a hotel that is similar and they feed as much garbage as they can to you as to why they can't allow more than 2 ADULTS and 2 KIDS. Don't believe the Bull. There is no fire code that says 3 adults can't stay in a room together, I know that for a fact. If you decide to stay, which I wouldn't recommend, feed them trash and lies. That's what garbage deserves.

  • Nicole T.

The hotel itself is nice and has a nice feel. The history is amazing. During Christmas it's beautiful. My kids got a kick out of the elevator. BUT my low rating is due to noise from the bars. It's Christmas Day and my family and I have traveled over 6 hours so we are tired. We start to unwind shower and get ready for bed. The music from the bars rattles our windows and the drunk people are yelling down the street. It was extremely difficult for my kids and I to fall asleep. If you have little ones, are a light sleeper, and don't party DO NOT STAY HERE! I asked the staff (2 young guys) of it's always this noisy and acted dumb and said "what noise? What music? " Seriously? Then one said "Yes, it's always like this until about 2am. Wear earplugs." I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STAY. Visit yes but don't stay here.

For a $110 room for two, you'd expect more than three cheap, tiny pillows, with one of them having a dirty pillowcase. The two shower towels were small and paper-thin. Our particular room was quiet but it was also slanted. Yes, the room literally was on a slant. We nearly fell walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night and had to fight not to roll off the bed. Either quality needs to be improved or the price needs to go down. The amazing bloody marys at the bistro did help in the morning.

My new go-to place to stay in Prescott when I'm up there to cycle the trails of the National Forest. Friendly, personable and helpful staff. The place is an unpretentiously quaint, small-city hotel of considerable presence and character, a bit down at the heels but clean and carefully maintained. The room was somewhat small and nothing particularly special, but clean and comfortable and had a wonderful view, overlooking the town square as it did. Location is great, a biscuit's toss off Whiskey Row. Much, much more interesting than any of the chain hotels in the area though comparably priced - one walks into History when one passes thru the doors of St. Michael's :-). No hotel parking offered, but there's a parking garage right around the corner which is, I understand, *free* outside of Rodeo Week. A fine breakfast is (partially) included, served in the bistro attached to the place - the best sausage gravy I've had in many years, I think. Oh, hell, even though the slight threadbareness (is that a word?) should preclude it, the place charmed me so much I'm dropping my four star evaluation and going with five :-)

We stayed two nights. Loved the hotel. The best location in the city. Very pleasant help and they always had a smile. This is an old hotel so don't expect a Hyatt. But it's clean and we loved the location and atmosphere. Breakfast at the Bistro on ground floor was excellent.

I have been staying at the Hotel St. Michael since I was 19 years old and, well, that's been awhile ago. I used to go to Prescott several times a year for little getaways, and I have always stayed here. These days I just make the trek up for the annual Christmas tree lighting at the courthouse. For the former, this hotel is right off Whiskey Row and the majority of the "nightlife" and "happenings" in Prescott, so it is happily walkable - especially when it is freezing outside. For the latter, the courthouse is directly across one small side street from the hotel. In fact, many rooms face the courthouse lawn - so you can see the lights from your room. This is not a four or five star hotel with regard to... the hotel. You go for the service. You go for the experience. You go for the bad ass elevator. There are more "modernized" hotels in town. They also don't have the history, the location, or the "spirit" that Hotel St. Michael does. I honestly wouldn't say this is a great hotel for kids. It's a romantic getaway type of place... and I will happily continue to use it for such.

What can I say? !Very cool place to stay and eat! Its upscale and the prices are fair. But then Im usually always happy if Im in a cool place with interesting people and good food!! I am into interesting old architecture. They could crank the air a little more in the summer but all in all its a nice treat. Great date place!! One other thing: They close too early!! Whats up with that? Some of us require a nice place to go have a nightcap after 10 that isnt crawling with liquored up bar flies and loud obnoxious music. It would behoove them to keep the bar area open a bit later.

My family and I had the opportunity to stay here last Sunday night. Booked directly through their website ($100 incl tax), the room consisted of two bedrooms; one with a queen, the other with 2 twins. Perfect for a couple with two kids. The amenities and decor were very basic but beds were very comfortable. We were located on the 3rd floor and alternated between the stairs (an excuse to walk through this historic hotel) and the old elevation (oldest in-use elevator in northern AZ). Our room came with 2 breakfast vouchers that you could use towards the basic 2 egg meal or $5 off anything else. That review will be separate. Front staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, too. Right across from the park and on Whiskey Row.

Great turn of century place with great staff. Very accommodating. Well maintained and very clean. Keeps it's old west feel while providing most modern amenities. Coming to Prescott is about taking a fun step back in time and St. Michael and the Bistro let you do so comfortably. Want new and modern go to Vegas, Phoenix or L.A.

Nice quaint hotel. Gives you the feel of the western days. Perhaps they stayed here on their way to the shoot out at the OK Corral?? You get that feeling. Rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our 4 day stay. Great location the the square and places to walk and eat.

This is our second year to stay at the St. Michael for a Corvette show on the Courthouse Square, and the St. Michael will continue to be our choice for the future. I will say that if one is expecting a five star hotel with five star amenities, don't stay at the St. Michael; however, if you are looking for a place to stay that is chock full of history, quaint, convenient, centrally located, welcoming and quirky, and harks back to a bygone era, this is your place. They have recently upgraded the beds and bed linens and we slept like on a cloud!! Yes, the bathrooms are small and they do use window air conditioners. However, the shower was fine, plenty of hot water and fine water pressure; and the a/c unit kept the room plenty comfortable. There is only one elevator and it is very cool. You open a door and then slide back a sliding gate to enter the small elevator, very fun!! The staircase is beautiful and wide. If there is one drawback, it is a definite scarcity of electrical outlets in the room, especially the bathroom. I could only find one in our bathroom and it was way up high under the light fixture; which, me being quite short, was unable to access. I solved that dilemma by always packing a 6 foot power strip in my regular luggage, which goes with me everywhere. We have stayed in plenty of five star hotels and resorts, which are always very nice, however, they cannot claim the welcoming ambience of the St. Michael.

I love the St. Michael, what a treasure that we get to experience a piece of our Arizona history. This hotel dating back to 1901 has the oldest elevator in Arizona. They have different options for rooms all varying in price. Some are economy which are about as big as a shoe box but fine if you just are looking for somewhere to crash your head on a pillow. My sister and I have stayed there twice and have had a nice sized room with two queen beds and a view of Gurley st. We enjoyed the room so much we requested it on our second stay. They have a pretty decent breakfast that is included or you get 5 dollars off your meal at the bistro located next to the lobby. It is conveniently located on whiskey row, if you want to be able to enjoy a cocktail at one of the famous haunts you are walking distance to your room. The front desk staff are friendly and courteous and the room was very clean. Take a step back in time and stay at this wonderful piece of history!

We stayed here during a spontaneous trip to escape heat in the valley. It's quaint & clean. We loved sleeping with the window open and ceiling fan going above us. Elevator is oldest operating elevator in Arizona and stairs are wide. Water pressure was fabulous in shower & it was hot immediately. Only drawback is towels were too small :/

I'm on a meeting kick this week. The Hotel St. Michael is a decent location for a small meeting - up to 50 or so people. All the delights of central Prescott are close, the bistro downstairs is a fun hangout. If you want to pull off an arty, uniquely decorated event, the meeting room has 14 foot ceilings and lots of windows. I sense endless possibilities. I don't know if management can set you up with equipment and a screen. You'll have to find that out yourself.

We stayed here for the first time this weekend. The front desk was very friendly and we were able to check in over three hours early, which was great so we were able to unload our cars and just enjoy the wonderful weather! Yes, it's an older hotel. If you are looking for a fancy boutique with all sorts of amenities this isn't for you. We loved it though. It has charm, it's fun and it was perfectly clean. We will 100% be back here again!

"This hotel isn't haunted you wusses." That is what I have to say to all the other girls in the group every time I've stayed here. It's just old and looks haunted. Okay, maybe it is, but nothing bad has ever happened to me. Okay, usually I stumble back to my hotel room from Whiskey Row and am too intoxicated to be a viable victim for the supernatural. Okay, I also don't use the word wusses, I say pussies. Now that you know the truth about me you should also know that this hotel truly rocks. It's not a 5 star experience and the rooms are bare and have been gently used, but I love it. I love it because I love anything with a bit of history. The front desk people are nice and they will hold your key for you if you are feeling irresponsible. This is handy since they only have one key for each room and they get pretty upset if you lose it. This can turn into a party hotel pretty fast on the weekends. That's fine with me because I'm usually partying, yet I am still respectful. Promise. The best part, the next morning when you wake up hungover you can fish out that coupon they gave you for breakfast in their downstairs restaurant. I was eating breakfast once and this woman came in with two bunny rabbits on leashes. She was walking them around like dogs. It was so weird. I've also seen a lot of female patrons with armpit hair at the St. Michael's restaurant. Not sure why that matters, but I guess I'm just trying to say that it's good people watching.

Good service, old building and elevator (just three floors so using the stairs works). The upper two floors are built in an H, and two sides front major downtown streets. This hotel fronts part of the square downtown where the County Courthouse is located. There are loads! of places for food and beverages as well as shopping in this area. A group of us from Tucson stayed here while enjoying the environs and hotel facilities. When you check in, staff gives you a voucher for breakfast the next morning. If you want to use the free wifi, you ask them for the info with which to log in. (I especially appreciated that I didn't have to log in every time I accessed the Internet, which was often.) Despite the outside temperature being in the 30s at night, running the fan part of the window air conditioner did not cool my room down. I found that, if I ran the air conditioner till the room felt cool enough and then switched to just the fan, and kept the ceiling fan on, the room kept pretty cool overnight. The bonus was that keeping the window fan on blotted out a great amount of the sound from both the street and the hallway. The rooms are basic, adequate, although I had to ask for a chair.

I like the old quaint type hotels and have stayed at a lot. But the only thing this place has going for it is location. Beds are almost like a pull out sofa sleeper type with bedding that makes a Motel 6 look like a Conrad. The towels are scratchy and small and at a $100 a night they could just do better. The only good thing was the free breakfast. I will put it this way my GF begged me to go elsewhere night 2 and she would pay for it plus reimburse me for the already paid for 2nd night. And she goes camping with me and sleeps in a tent.

I have stayed here and eaten down stairs many times over the years. The restaurant has a great view of the town square and has delicious food and coffee. The elevator is beyond vintage, it is pricelessly perfect. The building and rooms, from the check in desk to the ball room are like traveling back in time. Clean and updated but, not at the cost of losing any of its historic charm. However, the main reason for posting is the beyond attentive staff. I had a special night planned in Prescott a while back and I live 3 hrs away. I asked for help to have flowers and champagne delivered to the room and asked that they do the best they could to help me create my vision. When we arrived they checked us in with out giving away a hint of the surprise. We opened the door to find the light on the table lit with a lovely bottle of champagne chilling in a silver bucket, two strawberry accented glasses and the most wonderful dozen roses I have ever seen. They had taken extra rose peddles and made a path and decorated the room with them. It was tasteful and romantic. I had just proposed and it was the prefect ending to a perfect night. The only regret I have is that it has taken me to long to post this. Thank you St Michel's. We will be back soon!

Neat that it's so historic. Down side: Expensive for what you get... a run down cramped room and uneven floors. The cafe downstairs on the other hand is really good. Very meh.

Awesome atmosphere. No it's not up to date. The rooms are smallish. If you want that go to a nice new shiny, boring hotel. If you want history and an experience, come here.

Charming old-style hotel right on the town square. Downtown Prescott itself is rather old and charming - this hotel is Prescott defined. Great deals, and the best place to stay if you're going to challenge Prescott's famous Whiskey Row! They even toss in a coupon for breakfast at their restaurant downstairs. This is far from a high end boutique hotel - more of a piece of history. No ghosts that I encountered... Classy name for a hotel - don't you think?

Location, location, location. The Hotel St. Michael is the kind of town landmark that, if you've spent even just a day in Prescott and don't know where it is, you should be committed for fatal stupidity. It's a fine old-time Western building right there in the picturesque town center. The staff are mostly upbeat young people taking obvious pride in their affiliation with this historic place. Would that their love could be requited. Prescott boasts of holding the World's Oldest Rodeo. The Hotel St. Michael could make a similar claim to offering the World's Oldest Mattresses. I've spent about six or seven nights at the hotel over the years, but I won't be back unless I hear about the grand renovation this hotel truly deserves. In sum, spend a night there just to say you have, but catch up on your missed sleep somewhere else.

Recommended by my tattoo artist. The building is really nice for the age I guess. Downstairs felt fine nice and open until you try the ancient elevator and walk down a few halls upstairs. Def creeeeeeepy the room was ok. I kind of felt like I was in a padded room or a hospital with one small window to open w no screen on it. The bathroom was TINY I'm talkin you barely have room for your legs to sit on the toilet. Reading around it looks like they have bigger rooms but w that goes price too. What I'm describing comes w $90. Now I'm not into paranormal activity so much and had the hub not been so nosy I probably would have slept like a baby. Instead he started Google-ing and had to come across a story about our room exactly. Ya thanks there goes my nerves jerk!! Needless to say this was a totally sleepless night with one eye open on the door. I cant say I'd stay here again although its in a prime spot I think I'd rather take a taxi to and from a newer hotel so I can actually sleep. The next tired morning was somewhat made up with free breakfast at their Bistro buts thats another review!

Rooms are kind of pricey for what they are and this place totally gives me the creeps, but the location is ideal. You can walk to anything you want around town square, it's practically on Whiskey Row and you are only blocks away from the art galleries and other neat naturey stuff. It's supposedly haunted....and I believe it. SO old and charming on the outside, old fashioned lobby, but the rooms are kind of scary. Like Norman Bates kind of scary. I'd probably prefer the B&Bs outside of the area for a romantic getaway, but if you just want to party by the Row, then this is the place to stumble into.

This hotel is great because it is stumbling distance from whiskey row. I went up for a day trip but that led to too much fun at the bars and I needed a place to stay. So I walked down to Hotel St Michael and got an overpriced but very convenient room. The hotel was old and had history but the rooms were very small and totally not worth the $150 a night price tag. Then again a DUI is at least ten times that so it was TOTALLY worth it.

The location is great (right in themiddle of town square) and if you like history, this is a great place to stay. We booked a "suite" which was basically two tiny rooms next to each other with one large bathroom. The beds were not great and while I do love the historical aspects the rooms could use a bit of updating. My poor son couldn't even fit on the twin size bed. Not sure I'd stay here again.

I love staying here when i visit Prescott! The Hotel St. Michael is a historic hotel right on the main square. I like that i can have a few drinks and then just walk back to the hotel. I like that it is old, and it feels it. Each room has its own bathroom, which isn't always the case in old hotels, but a feature I personally really like. This place is super cute and cozy!
