Good. The selection of meats is impressive, though I stray from the lengua and mente - This round I had a Chimichanga with rice/beans- it was excellent, portion was huge and price was great. I got their green chicken enchiladas as well, tasted the, great consistency, very soft tortillas, light, fluffy. Drive through wait is long as expected, workers were respectful as well as laid back. Good hours. Definitely one of the Phoenix-area copycat stores, but hey, if the model works, why try to change it? Better than its new counterpart, Ralibertos over next to Tacos Los Altos (Still the best in this league) Inside has booth style seating- not cushioned. Basic salsa bar, but nonetheless good. Free chips too. They do need to work on their salsas, they are pretty watered down.

I used to live in Flag about two years ago, still miss it dearly, and I miss the food the most. I have lived many places, and still have yet to find a burrito that beats this place.I lived in California, Oregon, and now Washington, and until recently I think I found a Burrito that can compete with there breakfast burrito only that one though. Still can't find anything that beats their carne asada burrito with Red Sauce. I used to take the bottles of Red Sauce that when I was a younger trouble maker, and put the sauce on everything then return the bottles empty, haha. Those were the days. Thanks for making some awesome food, and some of the best memories for my high school years.

By far the best "taco stand" in town. They are reasonably fast and the prices are great. I'm usually there for burritos and I've had every one on the menu. They also have some amazing dinner style meals that blow away any fancy sit down Mexican restaurant. The service is as expected. You walk up to a counter to order so of course you are not becoming best friends with the cashier. They will usually bring out your food to your table but sometimes they will just call out your order so you can scoop it up. Completely reasonable for a taco stand. They are almost always busy when I've been there but I've never felt that I had to wait that long. And when you are inside you have chips and a salsa bar to keep you busy while you wait for your food. They are always open so that comes in really handy for late night excursions. Love it!

Five stars for a drive through? Yes! The best chicken burrito in Flagstaff, and possibly Arizona. I dare you to find better. Have you had their sincronizada? Ham, avocado, pickled jalapeño quesadilla, delicious. Can I make these at home? Mostly, but they make it a little better, and way quicker. The food doesn't come out as quick as McDonald's, but it's so much better.

I've been going here for about six years now, and I've seriously never been disappointed. Rolled tacos are incredible, the burritos are always hot and amazing, and the horchata there is spot on! Also, they have very kind and knowledgable people working for them.As long as Polibertos is in Flag, they'll have my business.

About the Flagstaff location, so happy. Had the carnita combo plate, guac was buttery, salsa divine, carnita tender and season so well. I highly recommend!

I love the chicken burrito, sinchronizada, and ceviche tostadas. Can't wait to try more, but how can I go and not have one of these favs?

The reason I only gave this three stars was due to the rushed, bad customer service...but the carnitas were to DIE for! I've eaten a lot (my hips are telling me way too many, ha!) of carnitas in my day and these were the best, by far. Tender and crispy, I'm sure they added five pounds but I just didn't care. Some of the salsas are pretty good. They also have that runny, pale green crap that seems to pass as guacomole at so many of the 'Berto's, which was really disappointing. But if you know what you're getting into and what to expect, it's a great meal. They do a very brisk lunch business and the next time I go, and oh, there will be a next time, it'll be the drive thru. Except then I won't get to pick my salsas, so maybe I'll just bite the bullet and go inside. Anyway, enjoy!

I'm cool with this place.. mainly between it's about 50 yards from my front door. Makes the food taste a whole lot better when you can get it and carry it home. I had the new Hash Brown Breakfast Burrito and it was all I ever wanted in a breakfast burrito. It ended up being a breakfast only kinda day- where all I eat is breakfast. Anyways, it's not the worst food/it's not the best food. It is what it is.

Stop by lunch and got the worst customer service ever in my life! The owner spilled a full large soda all over me and inside my purse. Mostly in my purse. Her first words where to me was "Here is your change." I said I need towels not my change. She handed me 3 napkins and walked off to serve other customers. After a few minutes she handed me a towel. I told her this happened because the lid on the drink wasn't secure then she had the nerve to blame me saying I cause this to happen and walked off. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the owner. I told her her customer service sucks and she show no concern to see if I was okay. Then she asked me if I wanted my food. She didn't give a crap. She never apologized. Just look annoyed with me. I will never come here again. I'm a business owner and I would never treat any customer with so little regard. Hate this place.

This place has really gone downhil in the past year. Lately when we go we are disappointed with our food. Last night we went about 830pm to grab some dinner after a class. My husband got the green chili burrito. He said it was OK, but the green chili was a little weird. I ordered a carne asada torta and my bread was burnt and soggy. We also ordered just a plain chicken taco for our three year old and it was so incredibly spicy I couldn't even eat it. We have given up on the Polibertos we used to love...it's now Tacos los Altos all the way.

Let me start off by saying that this place REALLY needs to replace the drive through speaker. We go through the same drill every time I'm there of repeating the order three times. It drives me BSC. The food is pretty typical of a -bertos. I choose this one to frequent because of it's location to my office. They usually get my order right (did I mention the drive through speaker), and when they don't they make it right. When it's busy, they have you pull off to the side some they can keep the drive through line moving which is a plus. My favorite dish is the steak and egg plate. It's a generous portion of carne asada with a couple of fried eggs, and of course rice, beans, and a couple of huge tortillas. They will ask you if you want salsa, say no, you'll get it anyway. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the drive through speaker.

I LOVE this place and have been eating here over a year. I usually just get chicken tacos or chicken tostadas but their portions are huge! Two chicken tacos makes a good size meal. And the price is incredibly reasonable. The seasoning and flavor is exquisite. I left Arizona for a few months and I can say this place was one of the things I missed most about Flagstaff. In my opinion, they beat every other mexican food restaurant in town.

So far so good. I asked for orange juice and instead got orange soda...with my breakfast burrito. But their steak, egg and cheese burrito was really good. Ate on my way up the mountain to snowbowl. The staff is very friendly.

Practically by default, Poliberto's has become a go-to burrito joint whenever Amy and I are in Flagstaff. I'm always happy to have the option to order things like lengua and cabeza (the lengua is actually very good, while the cabeza is just so-so), and it's nice to snack on free chips whenever I actually go into the restaurant instead of ordering from the drive-through. But for the most part, Poliberto's is just average, and if I were a conservative "carne asada burrito" or "bacon, egg, cheese, and potato breakfast burrito" aficionado, I would probably walk away from a meal here pretty unimpressed. The bottom line, I think, is that Flagstaff needs more 24/7 Mexican fast food options. But since it doesn't, the other bottom line is, go to Poliberto's!

carne asada was worse than filly b's....that's saying a lot from me.... Filly b's carne asada is overly salted this place lacks so much flavor in everything i don't know where to start. I wish I ordered a quesadilla instead. I kept staring at my carne asada fries thinking whats missing???

Nothing special, typical *berto joint but I'm a fan. Recommend the mini tacos with carne asada or carnitas for something quick and delicious, or the nachos if you're really hungry. If you have a healthy heart the carne asada french fries will leave you full and sort of depressed. I do like the pico and guac too.

Food is fine, prices are good. Parking can be a nightmare. A bit bland overall. But if you want a breakfast burrito this is the place to go! They are huge, more than enough for two people. The tortilla was really good, and the burrito was stuffed with sausage. Yum!

Having recently left Flagstaff, I miss this place dearly. They have a typical menu for all the -berto restaurants in town, with typical cheap prices, typically huge portions, and it's all typically delicious. So what's so special about this one? I'm really not sure, but I can say that out of all the bertos in Flagstaff and the ones we've tried here in Phoenix so far, none compare to this one. The food always tastes fresh, even at 3 in the morning, and the flavors are right on. While I love having a salsa or condiment bar, this place doesn't need one. Every forearm-sized burrito is perfectly seasoned and wrapped tightly for maximum portability. I hope to find a replacement soon. How much longer can I go without a Carne Asada French Fry fix??

Typical" Bertos" cousins restaurant however this location makes some killer breakfast burritos. I like the fact that you are allowed to add anything to the breakfast burritos. Service is usually pretty slow since there is normally only one cook and one person working the counter and drive thru window. Excellent food to help combat hangovers also.

LOTS of food. Jim loved the chorizo, the nachos were ok, the tamale was old and hard. We were pregnant on the way out. Mo gives this 2 stars because she thought she was going to get mugged and the restroom was located outside. Jim would give the cheap eats a solid 4 stars. Not a place you'd take a new date.

Favorite place in flagstaff for standard Mexican food. Cheap, huge portions, fresh made, and tasty. I don't know if they're 24/7 but I don't think I've ever seen The place closed.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
