THE place for a fresh fantastic lunch in Bisbee!

The white bread at Cornucopia is the best thing since, well, sliced bread! Lame jokes aside, this cute and intimate little place was a highlight during my Bisbee day trip. I had the green chile quiche with bread and soup as sides. The mildly sweet white bread with that delicious butter took the spotlight. This is the first time I'm impressed with white loaf bread. And my quiche was delicious as well...my boyfriend kept regretting he didn't get it himself (he did like his sandwich though). Next time I'm in Bisbee, I'll definitely return.

We went here based off the other Yelp reviews, and they were all correct. This cute, small cafe was delicious! Everything was homemade, from the bread to the tangerine lemonade. We tried the hatch chile & jack cheese sandwich, tomato basil soup, and green chile quiche. Everything was super. The quiche was among the best i've EVER had. Glad i saw the reviews and stopped in. A+!

excellent. fresh, friendly, many vegan + vegetarian options, reasonably priced, good portions and OMG their baked goods! I had a soup + quiche combo which hit the spot. It came with a slice of their own in house bread. Make sure you give it a try. Also had a scone for the road which was one of the best I've ever had. All of their pastries, cookies and desserts looked incredible. Great selection of iced teas too. Charming atmosphere too. This place doesn't disappoint.

DISCLAIMER:I am NOT responsible for what happens if you take my word and try the meatloaf sandwich, but I can recommend a support group or rehab. As if Bisbee isn't quaint enough. Here we have Cornucopia. Everything is freshly made and it takes time. If you're in a hurry-I would suggest heading to Santiago's. But this best kept secret is known for their quiche, meatloaf, tangerine lemonade and pastries among the locals and tourists flock here to occupy the limited seating areas available. It would behoove you to take advantage of this opportunity NOW before The Food Network comes to town and you'll NEVER get in like Studio 54.

Wow, best bread ever!!!!! We even purchased more on top of what we already got with our soup. Also, the soup was tomato and delicious. I was worried it would be runny and taste-less (as some tomato soups are), but this soup was very flavorful! The salad was good and simple...the ingredients were very fresh! The owner was super nice and even gave us the recipe to her delicious bread!

We stopped in for lunch on a week day. My husband had the 1/2 a turkey avocado sandwich with a bowl of chili. I had the special, green chili quiche with a bowl of butternut squash soup, it also came with a slice of homemade bread. Everything was delicious! The gal we had helping us even brought my husband a slice of the green chili quiche, she said she had seen him eyeing my slice, so I guess she felt sorry for him. We ended up getting a molasses cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie for the road. They were delicious and got us all the way back to Phoenix. I highly recommend this cute little restaurant, it was a highlight of the trip.

The quiche was delicious!! For $9, it also comes with a large salad AND and big hunk of homemade bread. I was very satisfied! I went for lunch on a Tuesday, and it was busy but not too crowded. Very nice ambiance here with just enough seating and natural light.

Locals teasing each other across the room. Homemade bread slathered with butter. Small tables looking out at the picturesque Bisbee street. This place is a winner. They have a deal that lets you choose two between half a sandwich, soup, salad, or quiche. All were fabulous except the salad, which had a homemade dressing that was a bit bland. Still decent, but everything else was amazing. And did I mention that bread? If I go again, I'm going to find out if they sell it by the loaf.

Everyone goes on about the meatloaf, and it was good, but i had the egg salad, and it is amazing. My mom said its the best Cesar salad she had ever had. She once traveled far and wide for a good Cesar, and she said this one is better. She also said the turkey sandwich was fantastic. The 12 grain bread is soft and wonderful. Save room for dessert. Omg

This is a charming, little cafe tucked away in the heart of Main Street in Bisbee. Exposed brick, a tiled mosaic floor from the turn of the century, and local artwork on the walls give this cozy cafe a European flair. Serving homemade soups and sandwhices, and sweet treats - we were lured by the fresh baked lemon bars on the counter. Down to the fresh squeezed tangerine lemonade, our experience was as good as home cooking. Peppermint bark, made by our friendly server this morning, was given to us to sample after we placed our orders. Then the cook stepped out of the kitchen to hand us samples of her crispy and sweet waffles. We did feel like we were standing in Grandma's kitchen... The Soup du jour was a mild Thai chicken and peanut with sweet potatoes. I ordered that along with a spinach quiche, which was layers of cheese and spinach wrapped in a light and flaky crust - so flavorful! My partner ordered their fresh baked bread sandwhich with tomato basil soup and tortellini. Great spot for a quick lunch, cozy ambiance, and a staff that is very engaging and friendly - and eager to have you sample their many treats.

I drove to Bisbee for coffee and I saw this cafe on Main St. I figured why not, time to try a new spot. First thing I noticed when I walked in were the thick quiches on display which reminded me of my time in France. So I ordered a slice of the spinach quiche which comes with a choice of soup or salad. I couldn't decide on the soup so the owner gave me a sample. That was the best clam chowder I tasted since moving from Seattle. Plenty of perfectly cooked clams with good sized bits of potato swimming in a delicious broth! The quiche was really good and was served with a big chunk of homemade bread and butter. I added a nice fresh fruit smoothie and enjoyed an excellent meal. I will definitely be back!

A group of us stopped in for lunch - the place just reopened after having to remodel from a fire. The smells were awesome because they are baking stuff from scratch all day! Service was fantastic. Food was fantastic. Prices were reasonable. Try the pies, cookies, lemon bars (wow), and brownies! Excellent!

We tried to stop here yesterday to grab a snack, but the place was closed down. They were doing construction inside and had scaffolding up. Strange because there are reviews here from 7/30/13 with no mention of them closing in 4 days :(

Cafe Cornucopia was an amazing lunch on our amazing weekend trip! Four generations enjoyed a great lunch in this quaint cafe. Loved the menu offering sandwiches, soup and quiche. Our party of 7.... loving some of everything! Tortilla soup was a hit. Loved the asparagus quiche myself! The chicken chile sandwich was a hit as well. Dessert was a bonus too! My 90 year grandma totally deserved the coconut pie she raved about after walking those hills! And my girls loved the brownies. Can't go wrong at this little stop!

Great food and fantastic pie. The only time I have been in a restaurant where a fellow customer (approximate age 2 1/2) was insisting on pie. Cute kid and he knew what he was talking about. My only knock is that it felt so scattered in the service.

We ate here on our trip to Bisbee last week and enjoyed our lunch. We each had a half turkey sandwich with avocado on whole wheat bread and it was the perfect size for a light lunch before the mine tour. With so many good reviews, I was puzzled by the 1 bad review. Contrary to what she says, they do take credit cards. We even used a credit card for a bank based in Holland and it went through with no problems. I also wouldn't expect free refills of any drink at a small business such as this. If you want free refills and a generic sandwich, can I suggest that you drive up the road to Benson?

Oh Lord! For a 'Soup and Sandwich' place....I must say this is AWESOME! They have a daily special, but I always stick to my fav: Turkey-Avocado on Multigrain, soup of the day and here comes the big 'tadaaaa' Fresh-baked home-made bread w/butter on the side. I will do anything for this bread! it is the most moist, delicious, fluffy bread I've had in my life! All food is good and big portions, but I will go just for that bread! If you have a chance GO!!!!.....

If you are a tourist in Bisbee beware of this cafe, they figure that if you never return so what, hundreds of other tourists will make up for my no return. We went there for breakfast and found a table and because the lack of staffing had to wait at least 10 minutes before our server threw down some old grimy menus. She didn't even greet us, and after more time lasped she took our order. I ordered bacon, eggs, grits, and 12 grain toast. My over easy eggs were so under cooked the yolks were actually cold. The 2 dry, cold pieces of limp bacon were probably cooked the night before and oh only one piece of toast that was cut so thin it flopped when I picked it up. My partner had the same with cold old potatoes and when she was finally able to get our servers attention she mentioned that the potatoes were cold, the servers response was " I'll take it off your bill, we didn't want anything for free, and she didn't take it off either. The server should have said, " let me get you some hot potatoes" but instead thought to herself, " screw you, you're a tourist, there's a thousand more behind you. This cafe has a cornucopia full of crap to serve us tourist, and the establishment doesn't care if you ever retun. I won't! !

Cute little place. Only seats about 15 people. The ladies that were behind the counter were very nice. The egg salad was good- the multi gran bread is absolutely to die for but the meatloaf was the best I have ever had (sorry mom) but it was heaven. Inexpensive food that is homemade and taste great! You can't ask for much more! Go here!

This was out first stop when heading into Bisbee. We went in for lunch and had the turkey sandwich and green chili quiche. The turkey sandwich had fresh avocado, tomato, cucumber, cheese mayo, turkey and probably a few other things I'm missing. I got it on sourdough which was soft and delicious. It really was the perfect mix of ingredients and definitely hit the spot. The green chili quiche was perfectly cheesy. It was fluffy, seasoned well, and had a great crust. It came with buttered bread and a greek salad. This was also a great combination of foods for 9 bucks. The owner (I assume) was super friendly and new almost everyone that came in. It made this place seem not touristy and local. The space was small but had a cute ambiance and happy employees.

Love this place! I am SO glad they are now serving brunch on Sundays!!! I believe they open at 8AM! Everything here is fantastic, from the quiche to the lemonade and cakes! It's all homemade and you can tell.

  • Lyndsey G.

I have two words for you: Meatloaf Sandwich. The owner is as friendly as it gets, the food is fresh and filling (and portions are large), if you order the soup you'll get a sliced of fresh baked heaven bread. During the summer there are often cold soups (gazpacho) and sometimes even fun new things like cantaloupe basil soup. The desserts are incredible! And if you've been walking around Old Bisbee all day you're bound to be thirsty, indulge in a fresh squeeze lemonade (peach if they have it!)

After our venture out for the beer that Bisbee had to offer it was time for lunch. Since the brewery didn't offer much in the way of food we walked around with Yelp on our cell phones to find a place to eat. After knocking a few possibilities off we decided on Cafe Cornucopia. Sandwiches (on house made bread) and salads dominate the menu here with some tasty dessert offerings as well which were also made in house. Sue and I ended up getting a sandwich each and sharing the second half. She ordered the meatloaf and I had the turkey with avocado and cheese. The turkey was sliced in house which is always a nicer way to go than your normal precut meat. I enjoyed the meatloaf. Tasted like something your mom might have made for you when you were a kid. The turkey was ok. Not amazing, but healthy all the same. The women behind the counter (owners possibly) seemed to be having a good time. Most of the other people in the place seemed to be locals. I got a very homey vibe out of this place.

  • Ichha S.

We went here to get pie, because it looked so tasty. The lady behind the counter used her dirty hands to put the first slice of pie on the plate, proceeded to lick her fingers and then used the same hands/fingers to put the next slice on the plate. This is a total health hazard and frankly a disgusting practice. I know we couldn't have been the first ones. Who knows how many times she had done this in the past? Needless to say we will never step foot in this place in the future.

For breakfast / lunch in Bisbee, look no further - seriously. Everything is super fresh, and most is made from scratch in-house. Incredible sandwiches and salads, homemade soups, homemade pastries (that are absolute heaven, sitting out for display, tempting you to order some for here, and some more to go) - you can't go wrong. All at incredibly affordable prices, esp for a touristy area. AND they have arguably the nicest / cleanest restroom in all of Bisbee. My one complaint - their lemonade was quite bland and leaves a bit to be desired. Other than that, this place is stellar ~ my go-to every time I visit this wonderful little town.

Stopped here as I was driving through. The food here is delicious! I ordered the meatloaf sandwich and it was great! The customer service was also some of the best I have ever had. They were very helpful and gave me samples of the dessert to try. I had to order the chocolate cream pie, it was very good and surprisingly light. It did not feel heavy or too rich! I will make it a point to stop here next time I am in Bisbee.

So delicious!!! Got the vegetarian sandwich and it was loaded with deliciousness. So, so glad we decided to stop here for lunch. Really great atmosphere and the ladies running the place were equally as great.

Sandwiches and salads are prepared perfectly, super fresh ingredients and friendly service. Menu is somewhat limited, but they make up for it with high quality offerings.

Wow! It's rare that I eat out and think, "I couldn't have made it better myself." I couldn't have made it better myself. This is a cute little cafe with counter service and a friendly, seat yourself atmosphere. The wall was covered with gorgeous photographs of mineral specimens. It was wholly pleasant to sit in and afforded a nice view of Main Street. I ordered the spinach quiche, which was only slightly more tempting than the green chile quiche. It comes with soup or salad and I chose a garden salad. Food arrived very quickly, with a thick slice of fresh buttered bread. Typically I don't eat bread but this was too good to ignore! The salad was massive. That was probably my only complaint; it was too large for the plate and, I regret to say, some of it ended up on the floor as a result. I take partial responsibility for that. At any rate, a nice crisp fresh salad. It just would have been neater in a bowl. The quiche was the best. It was hot, thick, fluffy, eggy and cheesy but not too cheesy. The crust was light and buttery. The seasonings were perfect. I enjoyed every bite of it. It was precisely what I wanted.

We found this place through Yelp while visiting the town. The reviews were a huge help. I ended up getting the meatloaf sandwich as everyone else recommended. It was amazing! Full of flavor and freshness. I had to add a good amount of salt, but I don't fault them for that. My wife got the chocolate chip cookie with her sandwich that was nice and fresh. I had to try the blueberry pie and holy crap, I loved it! You have to try at least one of their pies in there. Enjoy, we'll be right back here in a few weeks and can't wait!

At the suggestion of a gentleman we met in Sierra Vista who told us to try lunch at Cafe Cornucopia while visiting Bisbee. We are glad we did. Having already checked Yelp and reading favorably about Cafe Cornucopia we stopped in at 11:30am having read the Cafe is small and gets busy. Sure enough we just beat the crowd. If you have a party larger than 2, get there prior to noon to get a table if thinking about eating in. My son & I tried the full turkey/alvocado on rye sandwiches, which we thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had the tuna salad on sour dough and stated it was delicious. The pomegranate tea was very tasty. The full sandwiches for each of us were filling enough that we had to pass on the great looking scones & muffins. Only because the weather was slightly warm on the day of our visit to Bisbee, we passed on the great looking and fine aroma of the Morrocan soup! Other wise we'd go with the 1/2 sandwich & soup. Again if those fresh & deliciously looking scones & muffins taste as good as they looked, those and a drink would have been worth the stop into Cafe Cornucopia!

Tomato basil soup was great. Large homemade meatloaf sandwich. The pumpkin pie and carrot cake were awsome. Don't pass it up if your in town. Almost forgot the home squeezed tangerine lemonade.

Always a favorite when I come back to town. The food is delicious, homemade, and healthy. The owners and staff are always so friendly. The best of everything Bisbee in a wonderful old space.

I am now so stuffed that I cannot move. Everything was so good that I just had to try it all. Fresh squeezed juice and smoothies. Amazing bread. The best split pea soup of my life, that featured ASPARAGUS. A brownie, rich chocolate, impossible to finish. A molasses cookie, which is the perfect gingerbread cookie without the ginger. A green chile cheese sandwich, to which they added turkey, stacked as high as a Carnegie Deli Pastrami. I took a peanut butter cookie home with me. And the staff. And the locals. I had the best time I have ever had with total strangers. It felt like a sitcom with a hilarious script and fascinating characters, in which I got to play a bit part. These people are the best conversationalists on earth.

Amazing soups and sandwiches. I had the mushroom barley soup with half egg salad sandwich. They were delicious! I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone visiting.

Chile jack sandwich with Caesar salad and lemon bar: sublime. If this were in my city (Washington DC ) I'd be a regular. The peeps working there are delightful as well. Go try!

Very fresh and you could taste the ingredients. I have no complaints. Place is very small, but it gives a great cozy feeling. The tomato basil soup was great! My hubby had the meatloaf sandwich. Sad..I guess their meatloaf here beats mine that I make at home :( The desserts are meant to be shared, but they are extremely delicious. We will come back!

Soup and Sandwich. Quiche and a Salad. Texas Sheet Cake or Over-sized Cookie and Coffee. This is what you will find here at Cafe Cornucopia. Some Items they use are organic, some are local some are both. Most of what is offered here is made to order. The Quiche sells out fast on weekends and busy days. Soup is fresh and tasty and, yes, the hunk of bread that it comes with is right out of the loaf pan and on to your plate. Offered is a simple but complete menu for what is to be expected of a Cafe. The likes of Iced Tea and Tangerine Lemonade, fresh baked goods and ample portions served in a quaint atmosphere. The friendly staff are delightful if you visit often enough, make friendly conversation or appear to not be a tourist. This is small little establishment in an Alley sized space with the usual requirements for a four star rating: Local, Consistent, Quality, and food offerings that help make the usually mundane lunch or snack more fun, tasty and filling. Ratings: Atmosphere: 4.3 Stars Food: 3.9 Stars Staff: 4 Stars Final Rating: 3.9 Stars.

This is THE place to get healthy delicious food, all made right in-house! You gotta have the desserts. They're all homemade too! Wonderfully friendly staff make this the best place to have lunch on Main Street.

Awesome food. Everything is homemade and delicious. I had the green chili quiche and a bowl of thai chicken peanut soup. SOOOOOO good. The desserts all looked so good, it was hard to choose but we got a giant chocolate chip cookie which was amazing. Love this place. Can't wait for our next visit to Bisbee so we can eat here again. Staff was very friendly.

I would eat here just for the homemade bread, which it is very similar to my grandma's traditional white bread. Think warm with a thick layer of butter-a grainy, homemade texture and sweet taste. It is just about perfect and transports me back to Wisconsin with every bite. The sandwiches and soups are excellent, too. A half sandwich, soup, and slice of homemade bread run you about $9, but it is really, really filling. The egg salad is made with a mustard (probably dijon), giving it a nice tang. The turkey avocado with seasonal veggies is probably my favorite. The tuna is made with flaky albacore and relish. Soups-The asparagus cream soup is fresh tasting (not too creamy) with large chucks of asparagus. The tomato is chunky with lots of veg. The stuffed bell pepper has ground beef-very filling. Best soup so far is the spicy carrot. Like so many Bisbee establishments they have funky summer hours-I've been trying to get my Cornucopia fill before they close in July. Don't expect cookie cutter service, food, or hours. Get ready for great soups and sandwiches and out of this world homemade bread. The artwork, brick walls, tin ceiling, and old tile floors add to this little sandwich shop's charm.

Yep, as all the reviewers have said, it was excellent. Got a half meatloaf sandwich with a Greek salad and a lemonade, quite tasty. Pretty spendy IMO, over $11 total and no refills.

It's a girls eatery, you can tell by the offerings, i.e. quiche. But, they did try to pander to the males that end up crossing the threshold in tow. They were offering a quiche with Hatch Green Chiles. I had the half meatloaf sandwich with cup of split pea soup. I was a little trepiditious about the soup, I prefer my pea soup to be more like pea pudding where you can stand the spoon on end without fear of it falling. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, whereas it was not as thick as I prefer, it was something I would eat again. I half to admit, I was not man enough to finish the half meatloaf sandwich, though it was terrific. The woman that towed me in had the spinach quiche with a salad. I tasted the quiche, and, perhaps secretly, I could enjoy eating it. Also, best cafe mocha I've had in long, long time. perfect for a cooler morning.

Fabulous, simple, delightfully delicious. Everything is made from scratch in this tiny, unassuming restaurant. The homemade bread is to die for...today's was oatmeal and honey. The staff is friendly and helpful - The quiches looked amazing, but I'll just have to try them the next time around.

I stopped here because they had a sign in front advertising fresh peach tea and I was thirsty after shopping and this sounded refreshing. This tea had real peach pieces in it !!! It was so naturally sweet and delicious..I have never had anything like before or since. I will be forever grateful for this tea. They also have fresh baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. We had already eaten lunch so we did not eat here, but will definitly try it on our next trip.

Delicious strawberry lemonade! Very good meatloaf sandwich, very good green chile sandwich, and excellent corn soup! Really good homemade bread. I didn't have any of the desserts, but they looked really good.

let me say this before i offer my two cents . . . i am not a needy patron i am there for your food not necessarily to be your friend. however, i was extremely turned off by the cold stares i received from the woman who appeared to be the owner and/or manager/cook. the young girl at the counter who took our order and brought our food was very pleasant. having said that - the food was more than i expected . . . fresh and delicious. i had the spinach quiche with garden salad my husband had the tortilla soup and sandwich. the bread was better than any homemade i've ever tasted! the salad was not from a sysco bag . . . the lettuce was fresh the tomatoes ripe and the cuke chunks just sliced. barely any dressing that i could tell - just like i like it (you may want to ask for more) and the generous portion of quiche tasted like it was made the same day. i too was not offered a tea refill but it was busy and i asked for one and got it. the tea was so tasty i drank it without sugar! four stars for the lack of a smile and price (almost $30 for two for lunch including tip) - the food was definitely 5 stars! they do accept mc/visa now.

Had a FABULOUS lunch here this weekend. Great homemade bread, wonderful roasted tomato and Gorgonzola soup, amazingly fresh ingredients, and such a quaint little spot. Very much worth the wait if you get there at a busy time. The locals even eat this spot! Lunch ranges from $7-$12. Well worth it!

This place is most certainly worth a stop for lunch while strolling around Bisbee. My husband and I both ordered the same thing; green chile and cheddar quiche with broccoli cheddar soup and a tangerine lemonade. It was absolutely delicious! And as an added bonus you get a hunk of the best homemade bread I've ever had (sorry Mom!). And everyone in the place seemed to know each other, which made it feel downright neighborly. Grab the window seat if you can.

drumroll please! ladies and gents, for your dining pleasure, i present CAFE CORNUCOPIA! there are days when my mom and i drive out to bisbee JUST to go eat here. they offer homemade soups, sandwiches, quiche, salads and desserts! oh, and don't forget the FRESH tangerine lemonade. my mouth is watering just thinking about it! the soups are delicious and eclectic..and did i mention you'll get a HUGE chunk of warm homemade bread?. you never know what it's gonna be, but here are some options: chicken noodle, potato & leek, gazpacho or butternut squash. you can get it with a sandwich...and when i say "sandwich" i mean "manna from heaven". Fresh produce, big portions and just the right amount of sauces...they're so big you might need a fork to keep it together...unless you're a piglet like me...then you just stuff your face and pick up everything that fell off. or, if you're feeling frisky, try the quiche. i haven't had one there i didn't like...the hatch green chile is my fave. save some room, if you can, for the homemade scones (raspberry...mmmm) or the lemon bars...or the brownies. *sigh* just take some home with you...it's okay, i won't tell. five HUGE stars for small town, homemade goodness.
