I'm a MAJOR fan of Mama Tang's! The dining room is a bit small, but the wait staff does a tremendous job of keeping up with everything. The food is alway extremely fresh and as far as taste goes, I'd give them 6 stars! Prices are ridiculously low for such quality! Starting around $6 for dinner entrees. I whole-heartedly recommend Mama Tang's to anyone that loves Chinese food.

This is my 4th or 5th time eating here but first check-in and review. The quality of the food has stayed consistently meh over the last few years as newer and better joints have popped up. A few co-workers and I went here for lunch. Atmosphere: Very bright, very small area. the furniture is starting to show wear marks and duck tape has been applied to keep holes hidden. Always fairly quiet when I've been. Service: Prompt. Friendly. Not overbearing and not missing. Food: meh. I had the Broccoli and Steak lunch special. The beef was not very good. That is some of the whitest beef I've ever eaten. No flavor, a bit tough and stringy. The broccoli was good. Fresh and crisp. I love the sauce its cooked in. I'd pass on the rest of the dish though. Other co-workers had General Tso's and the other Mandarin and they both asked for super hot and were underwhelmed by the delivery. Overall: It is cheap lunch food for a half-way decent taste. There are far better options in the area if you have the time. Will I be back? Yes, probably in the next 2-3 years for lunch.

Good little family run place. Very good and very reasonable. Lunch includes soup of the day, lo mein, fried rice and egg roll. Service is quick and attentive.

Very good, tastes fresh, made fast, they are friendly and their prices are reasonable. Plus their rice comes in those little chinese food boxes that make everyone happy. Dining area is not great, go with the take out and you will be stoked.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
