La Huerta Bar & Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'll start off by saying that we LOVE La Huerta on College, Mexico Viejo on MLK, and El Matador on Wedington in Fayetteville (all sister companies of La Huerta). However, the La Huerta in Springdale was horrible. I ate there for lunch yesterday. First, our waitress was very slow, and got our order wrong. The cheese dip was different from the other locations. Almost yellow tinted and super thick. Not great. My friend ordered the fish tacos and she said they were super fishy and not good at all. My kids who always clear their plates at Mexican restaurants just picked at their food. Also, the prices are MUCH higher than at the other locations. My total for my meal, two kids meals, three drinks and a cheese dip off the lunch menu was $31.00. A little steep if you ask me, especially when I can go to the La Huerta in Fayetteville and get the same thing and spend around $23.00. I probably won't be back.

Pretty good.. Tacos lack flavor, even with everything on them. Steve's Special is a favorite of me & my wife. Good salsa and chips, and their guacamole is well-made.

Had a wedding shower catered from La Huerta, not only the customer service was superb but they went above and beyond with delivery and provided us with considerably more food than we paid for. It was delivered on time with a very friendly staff and the food was fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend and will use them again! Thank you La Huerta!!!

I created this yelp account just to tell how horrible this place is. A water hose un the ceiling just randomly going off in the booth you're sitting in is pretty bad. Then when you wait 40 minutes after you order and watch people come in after you and are done with there meal is when I start getting kinda upset. The food was horrible

I stopped in for my taste of what AR mexican food is like. My pork tacos were tasty, while not being quite TX style I was happy with actual vegetables, beans, cooked pork and some tortillas. I prefer corn tortillas but didn't think to ask having become accustomed to being asked for either in Austin. My meal was good and I'd eat here again ever if I didn't find it particularly memorable.

Have eaten here several times while in town visiting family. Service is friendly, my drink was always kept full. They have indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Big restaurant. Several TV's playing sports. Floor and tables are clean. They bring out chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. Salsa tastes fresh, not too big of chunks in it, not too hot either. Chips are the thin kind, they are not warmed though (or mine weren't anyways). I have eaten the chicken Chimichanga here before and hated it. Bad mushy chicken filling. Could not eat it. The cheese poblano chicken fajitas however are amazing. It is chicken with poblano peppers with white queso. The guacamole is also very good. My husband and I shared the fajitas for lunch and were plenty full after eating chips and salsa too. Bottom line is, decent Tex-mex restaurant, good service. I will eat here again. Although I was traumatized by the Chimichanga, the poblano fajitas have won me over.

Food was what I expected... good, not great. Most times when i drive by, there's lots of cars in the parking lot. We were seated quickly but the wait time to order, get drinks and get our food was not good. Although there was a large party in our seating area, they were done eating when we were seated so service should not have been as slow as it was. The staff was nice. Would try again at a less busy time.

Got food poisoning from this place and I have never returned ever since. I went on my lunch hour and five hours later I was literally bed ridden for 4 long days. That kitchen is probably a pig stye....I'm not the only one either. I have a friend that got food poisoned from this place and also another yelp reviewer said the same thing on another location. Just be safe and stay away

I love LA Huerta, but this location sucks for some reason. We live nearby, but usually drive on past this one and go to the one on college ave. The food at this location is always bland and the salsa is different. Go to the other one.

Maintaining my 3-star A-OK rating. Everything that I stated in my previous review holds true, with one exception: Get the guac that they make right at the table, instead of the pre-made guac. It's a really good way to kick off the meal.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
