This place has gone downhill faster than I would have liked. The ones in Fayetteville are much much better! We have been several times for dinner and have had them 1. run out of chips 2. run out of chicken, both are stapled to their burritos. It seems that they cater to the lunch crowd as the place is clean and the service is better then, but I would stay away at dinner time. Prefer to stay local, but the Bentonville location is not worth the time and money. Hope they can clear this up before they get run out by other chains.

I came here a little over a week ago for the first time for lunch. WAIT: It was lunch time, so it was pretty crowded. However, the line moved relatively quickly. You order how you like it as you go down the line and then go and sit down at the table after you pay. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Overall, the customer service was good. FOOD: You order the food you way you want it, so overall if you didn't like what you ordered it is probably your fault haha. At least most of the time. I ordered a burrito with all veggies with rice and beans, wrapped in a spinach tortilla. Overall, it was good. I would do it again. I am from California and I feel like you can't beat burritos from California, but I would definitely come back here. BONUS: Kids eat free M-W. Woohoo.

We frequent the Flying Burrito in Fayetteville, but we were in the Bentonville area and thought surely they would be the same. The food WAS the same, but the service much different. There appeared to be no A/C on, and it was stiflingly hot (being August 4th). I was there with my three children under five and we ordered 3 kids meals and a chicken nacho. The man went to next person before he made my nachos so I said again "I'd like a chicken nachos, please." He looked thoroughly put out while he made them. No acknowledgement to me or the person behind me whose order he stopped making. Then we got to the checkout. I'm not sure if I've ever had someone in service be so unfriendly. She said, "mild or medium?" I had no idea what she was talking about. I said I'd have a medium drink and the kids would have drinks as well. She said, "NO- mild or medium salsa." I still wasn't clear what I needed salsa for, I thought that was settled when I added ingredients before hand. So I said "mild" and it turns out it was for the kids meals... I had my hands full of a baby and a two and five year old to manage so I asked if I could get the kids at a table and come back for the food- she just stared at me. Literally, did not say anything. I ended up having them stack my trays so I could carry all the food (a tower of baskets, luckily we made it to the table.). So we ate in the 85° restaurant, and unfortunately the food couldn't compensate for the hot atmosphere or rude service.

Not good...this place has really gone down hill. Sadly supporting local only goes so far. This place was dirty, employees not so good the lady making the burritos had rotten teeth. Not the best start to the process. The place is 1/4 full at 12:30 on a Wednesday and now I know why. Hate to say qdoba is way better from cleanliness, food quality and staff.

First time eating here. Pretty good meal. It was fast, and you got to build your own just the way you liked it. I like that. I always seem to have a special order. The food was good. And the portion size was pretty big. I was definitely full. The atmosphere the restaurant was decent. But it was a cold night, and there was no place in the restaurant to be sheltered from the wind from the door for the cold windows. Decent fast dinner. Great for kids too.

I'm new to the area, only been here 2 weeks. I keep seeing the Flying Burrito place and I have read the reviews but not quite sure if I should try it. I know they did have health inspection problems. Anyone out there been there recently.

I really like Flying Burrito. They have a different style of burrito than Chipotle so expect that, FB is more of the mission style large burritos and salads. My go to is a rice bowl with diablo chicken, potatoes, black beans, cheese, guac, and chipotle sour cream.

Pretty much everyone I know thinks Chipotle is the end all, be all. This is only because they haven't had Flying Burrito yet! I lived in NWA for about 8 months last year and this was my favorite place to go. I knew from the first time I went that I had to go back with my wife. We both fell in love with this place. They servings are huge, the prices are a little better than Chipotle, and thie food is so much better. I usually went with a burrito on the jalapeno cheddar tortilla, I highly recommend it. Now that we moved away from NWA, my wife and I have joked about going back specifically so we could eat here again. Out of places like this, I've had Chipotle, Qdoba, and Panchero's... Flying Burrito outranks all of them, by far.

Questionable cleanliness and mediocre customer service. This particular restaurant was gross, gross, and more gross. No help ordering from the confusing menu from the staff, with exception of the new guy still in training. He was friendly and working hard. The plain beef we ordered looked old and dry once we were served, and ended up too spicy for my young daughter to eat in her taco. The same meal ordered at another location was not too spicy for her. The inconsistency was disappointing, especially for her since she went hungry. The one in Fayetteville is a million times better! Will travel there from Rogers from now on.

Basically the Chipotle concept but with superior quality food. My wife and I enjoyed lunch here. I had the carnitas and was very happy with it. I ended up taking half my burrito home and my son enjoyed finishing it off. My wife really likes Chipotle so when she's in the mood for them in the future I'll suggest we go here instead (a win-win).

I miss Flying Burrito so much. The 2 1/2 months I spent in Arkansas involved many trips to Flying Burrito, and I wish they existed in the north east. They're way better than Chipotle and way cheaper. There are many tortillas to chose from, and you can have beans, meat, veggies, and mostly anything you can imagine stuffed inside your burrito. I think they also had quesadillas and tacos, but I loved the burrito too much to stray. There is plenty of room to sit, and the vibe is chill. Is this authentic Mexican food? No. But it's awesome.

I moved here in the past year and really miss real food. Flying burrito is one of the shining stars in NWA. You need to try a rice bowl! They are huge and very good price. The staff is always extra friendly. Make sure you sign up for the frequent members club; you save $10 every 5th trip or so. A++

Food is decent. The workers behind the counter had no patience with my boys while they were ordering and the place was not busy. How dare you roll your eyes at a customer.... I did not say anything at the time, but I did notice your impatience on kid's night. Don't know if we will be back.

I went to Flying Burrito with my five year old sons today. The man who made my food had zero patience with my children and kept assuming he could tell them what to do (saying things like "Don't do that" when they placed their hands on the glass window before I could myself). I actually shortened what I wanted on my burritos because his irritated mood was just making me want to get out of there. His attitude was quite rude, and I wasn't treated like a customer, more like a nuisance in his way. I usually experience friendly service here, but definitely not this time. I'll probably take a break from this place.

This place was not good at all. Rice was dry and had no flavor, potatoes' were cold and the beans seem old. I don't recommend coming here. Also my boyfriend got the chicken bowl and the chicken was way to salty.

I don't know what I was thinking 3 years ago when I wrote my first review. Ya, its actually been that long since I have been back. There was only one other customer eating at the noon hour...first bad sign. When I got up to order my food, the condition of the meat was scary...like "just sitting out too long" had long glazed over the tops of the containers. Yuck. Completely unappetizing. It tasted ok. I got chicken taco salad. I hate that the chicken seemed like dark meat. I really don't see how it stays in business. Great location but just lousy. They also serve Pepsi products. Boo. If they kept it fresh and offered more choices say like Qdoba or Chipolte, it might have a chance. The music playing was decent. LOL.

This place reminds me of Chipotle.. Are there Chipotle's in Arkansas? I have no idea, but I guess they have Flying Burritos instead of Chipotles. Anyway, at Flying Burrito, you get your choice of about 5 different tortillas, a meat, rice, beans, potato, veggies, and salsa. I got a veggie burrito wrapped in a spinach tortilla with rice, black beans, potato, a fajita mix of onions and peppers, fresh diced jalapenos, their spiciest salsa, and some pico de gallo. It definitely hit the spot. This burrito was gigantic. The fresh jalapeno gave it a good little kick, but I needed more spice so splashed on some of the green habanero sauce they have sitting next to the drink machine. I came in at 1pm, so there was no wait, and was served quickly. There's plenty of seating and prices are about $6 for a burrito. Not as tasty as Chipotle, but they try.

First, for a Mission-Style burrito, go here. It may not be the best burrito in the country, but after missing the huge Mission-Style burritos of the San Francisco- Bay Area, this place is a mecca. No longer do I have to watch people fold my burrito over and put it on a plate. If I wanted to eat off a plate I would order something that ISN'T supposed to be wrapped up for eating. I ordered a burrito on whole wheat tortilla with Carnitas. Not bad! Once again I have a burrito that I'm full before I finish. My friend had the chicken nachos and they were HUGE. He couldn't finish those either. I am planning on coming back to try the fish tacos!

This place does the trick for a quick lunch. Nothing special or fancy. The burritos, tacos, and taco salads are made from the same ingredients. Good place to get a quick fix of Mexican food. The chicken is pretty good quality. Prices are about $5-$9.

Based upon some other reviews and word of mouth, I took the family out there last week for dinner. The experience was less than steller and I think we have marked it off our list of places to go back too. Like Cas says, think Subway or Moes. We walked up to the counter to place our order. I got the chicken nachos and got two lilttle scoops of nacho cheese. Wasn't enough to get cheese on less than 1/2 the chips. I asked if that was all, and they guy said "yup" that's all you get. Not even, more will be an extra charge etc. No customer service. Got a sprinkling of chicken. We ended up getting a couple of sides of queso, one white and one yellow. We beleive that all they did was add flour to the yellow to make it white. Neither was very tasty. Even my kids, who will eat their own bowl at Osegueras or Abuelos, wouldn't eat it. Said it tasted funny. I think the cheese on nachos at the local football games or heated up from a jar from the grocery store was much tasty than this stuff. Oh did I mention the flies buzzing the food and the lack of anyone working that seemed to want to actually be there and provide customer service? Unless something changes, I bet it is closed before we ring in the new year.

I like the burritos but always get take-out because the dining room is always a mess. They must wait and just clean at the end of the day or something. It would be SO much better if they tidied as the day went by.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
