Everything we ordered was fresh and very tasty! Hard to find good hush puppies other than home cooked, but their's are the BEST!! I will defiantly be back to try other dishes. Excellent service too

I was excited to finally try The House but was VERY disappointed! CONS: -Service was very slow. There were only 2 or 3 other tables and our server didn't greet us for about 10 minutes. It took about 20 minutes to get our salads after we ordered. -They were out of out of several items on the menu. I ordered a steak and the server came back after about 15 minutes to tell me the chef couldn't "find" a steak to cook. I ended up ordering a cup of gumbo & a small plate. -They brought me and my husband's food at different times. I was finished eating by the time my husband even got his food. I hate that. -My husband and I agreed his red fish dish was SUPER salty and his side of grits were dry. PRO: -The only pro was that the gumbo was very good. Will definitely not be back!!!!

IVE been wanting to try this place since it changed ownership Finally had a girls day with my daughter last Saturday The place was like a ghost town it was 1:30pm Waiter was using an iPad to take our order and struggling with it We were told they were out of several items Then he "found" a few left in the freezer - should have been our first clue as everything tastes like it was from the frozen food aisle of walmart ! The gingham salad was fresh but I swear I think he gave us a 1/2 portion We asked and he said he didn't but our friend ordered a Caesar salad and gets was twice the size of ours meaning he cut outs in 1/2 Won't be back anytime soon #overpriced #underserved

Fantastic! Great service and great food. Just as good as The Bull without the higher price! Waiter was very attentive. Gave a 22% tip! Great secret restaurant!

Quite disappointing. My friend and I went in for Sunday brunch to give this place a try. We were drawn by the promise of good seafood and a gorgeous decor. The decor lived up to its reputation, but the food and service did not. First off, no host greeted us at the door. They had just opened, and there were two or three tables in the restaurant, but it took a while for us to get seated. We ordered coffee, and it was fresh brewed, but we didn't get spoons for a while so my friend ended up stirring hers with a knife. We ordered the bananas foster french toast and the crab cake eggs benedict (which came with grits and potatoes). Our food took almost thirty minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant only having three or four tables at the time. When we got it, the french toast was lukewarm, and the grits that come with the eggs benedict were cold and lumpy. French toast tasted pretty good. The crab cake was awful. Tasted like canned crab, and it wasn't fried or baked so it was a pretty horrible mushy texture. Potatoes were bland and lukewarm with very little crisp. The only hot thing on my plate was the eggs, and they were very well poached, but it makes me think that the food took so long because they had to redo them. They get a star for the decor and decent coffee. If they're going to present themselves as a seafood restaurant, they need to improve their crab cakes!

Enjoyed our first trip to The House very much. Would have given a 5 star rating except the wife did not enjoy the fish tacos at all. She said that they were so spicy and hot that you couldn't even taste the fish. I had the red fish with a crawfish tails and cheese sauce which was excellent. A couple of friends with us both had the shrimp and grits which the said was very good. We had excellent service from our waiter Luke.

I thought the food was fine. I had the fish tacos which weren't as spicy as others claimed. The service was quick. I like that you can sit outside.

The redfish is amazing, the home-made chips are some of the best I've ever had, and the ranch dressing is even good! The only slight con was that the shrimp and grits was a little small. There's a great backyard area for our little one to play in while we wait for our food. The outdoor seating is so fun since the weather is getting nice and the service was fantastic! Perfect family Friday night and would be so cute for a little outdoor wedding or event!

Two weeks later, I had the Oysters Rockefeller again. Again, delicious. This time I added the cheeseburger for dinner. I would definitely go back and get it again. I loved it. They have a pretty good beer selection. My only request is that they add a good IPA (or two) on tap. Maybe add Bell's Two Hearted Ale as a standard IPA, and then one more IPA that changes up.

This is a great place if you like a low key dinner or lunch. Good (but limited selection) beer on tap, some tasty local cuisine, and friendly servers. This place won't blow you away, but it's a great spot to enjoy a laid back meal (if you can find it).

I would have liked to have tried this new restaurant, but I would have had to have been greeted and then seated first. My husband and I arrived at 7:40 and there were 2 other couples were already waiting, but were seated shortly after we arrived. The restaurant was busy, but not overly so. There was no hostess/host at the entrance, although a podium was available for one. We waited for our turn to be greeted, or at the very least a nod or "be right with you" or SOMETHING, but wait staff just buzzed right by. After 20 minutes of waiting, another couple walked in and was immediately greeted and told how long the wait was and offered a menu for review. We were highly insulted. There was no way that we weren't seen waiting before, we were blatantly ignored. We decided at that point we were obviously not important enough for this establishment and went elsewhere. I could understand of this was the first night and they don't quite have a system down, but they should be a little better prepared to handle waiting patrons after being open for a month. I wish them the best of luck-if everyone else gets the same treatment we did, they won't be around very long.

The perfect neighborhood bar/restaurant. The food was good, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had a nice lunch out on the patio, and the kids loved playing on the lawn. We'll definitely be back.

Went here for dinner the other night: Cons: - Atmosphere was terrible (no music, tv was turned to a blue screen that said something about the station not being able to be picked up and there was paperwork and other business items pilled up on the makeshift bar.) - Service was slow. It took 15 minutes to get my beer then another 30 minutes to get another. Also, there were old plates and cups sitting on the table next to us for a good bit while the waitress just stood behind the bar. - Grilled oysters had to have been grilled days before then reheated. The cheese was hard and they tasted like they were reheated. Definitely didn't come right off the grill - I know they just got their liquor license but the wine available was terrible - The chairs were uncomfortable and wobbly (I had to change chairs with another table) Old and worn tables/chairs Pros: - Besides the oysters, everything else we ate was delicious. Really good I really want this place to make it but they MUST work on creating a fun atmosphere, better/more attentive service and improving their wine list. I'll try it again because of the entree quality but will be looking to see if other improvements have been made.

I took my mother here for her birthday. The food was delicious. The crab cakes are amazing! Tyler was our server. He was so polite and friendly, and really made us feel welcomed. We will definitely return! I can't wait to try the Sunday brunch menu.
