My girlfriend and I went to eat dinner. We went so we didn't have to cook. Was this a poor decision...yes. We waited a substantial amount of time considering there were only three other couples in the entire restaurant. The salsa was very bland and watered down, so we added a good amount of pepper to it just to have a little flavor. We then proceeded to place our order. It came out in a timely manner. The chicken is definitely frozen. I asked for sautéed onions and peppers added. I got a whole onion and at least 2 bell peppers worth on my plate. The peppers were not cooked all the way and neither were the onions. The cheese sauce was watery as well. There was hardly any flavor to the food. My girlfriend got the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. Her quesadilla had no flavor, neither did the rice and beans. To be a mexican restaurant it is very surprising that the food was so bland and downright disgusting. As i write this, i am still in disbelief over how terribly terribly awful this "food" was. We are both sitting at home with our stomachs hurting and making god awful noises. To top it off we paid 30$ to get food poisoning. If u could offer one piece of advice it would be do not eat here...ever. seriously, your stomach will thank you.

All I can say is awesome the fajitas fantastic we got the steak and shrimp for two, Alex our server was funny and always there for whatever we needed, and the churros for dessert were awesome. Thank you for a wonderful memorable meal for our party of 12, next time I am back in Mobile I will be back.

Decent Mexican food with conscientious, attentive service. The chips taste fresh, and the salsa is served in mini carafes so that everybody can have their own bowl. This is a nice touch so as to avoid other people's chip debris. Not as spicy as I'd prefer, but ask for the tomatillo sauce -- it has a bit more flavor and kick.

This was my first and possibly last visit to Sabor A Mexico. We walked in and I was excited because the food smelled really good. The chips and salsa were ok. The waiter, Raul, did his job but he didn't want to be there. I ordered a margarita on the rocks but I got a frozen margarita, I did not send it back, and it tasted really good. Halfway through drinking it I noticed my glass was cracked. I ordered a hot and spicy burrito that was not spicy and an onion and cheese quesadilla that didn't have onions. My husband ordered a steak fajita that was bland and the onions didn't taste like onions. I would only go back for a margarita. My usual Mexican restaurant was and still is Aztecas in Tillman's Corner, although the waitressing is a little inconsistent the food and margaritas are great.

We are regulars of Sabor a Mexico with our kids. While not the best Mexican food we've ever had, it's consistently good and fast service. I just wish they had a tortilla soup on their menu. The fried ice cream is fun and cheap. As far as Mobile goes, this place and El Ranchero on Airport are the best for cheap and tasty Mexican food.

My favorite Mexican in Mobile. Good chips and salsa, good margarita, and imported mexican beer. I like the enchiladas. Never been when it's too crowded and the prices are not too bad.

I have eaten at almost every single Mexican restaurant in Mobile and there are pros and cons to each. Sabora is a popular place for college students, especially on Thursdays for their margarita specials. I had never been impressed with Sabora in the past, mainly because I HATED their odd lighting (I know, I know, I'm picky!) but lately the place has grown on me. I always order the shredded beef quesadilla and while the beef tastes oddly like roast beef... that's what makes it so good! Their salsa is also one of my favorites because it is not too hot like some restaurants. The margaritas are also pretty good, although they are pricier than some comparable restaurants. The main reason I like this place is because it is often till 11:00 on Thursday and Friday (maybe even Saturday, not sure.) This is a big plus for me because we tend to eat at odd times.

Me and my husband have been here several times! This is our go to Mexican spot!! We love it! The servers are so kind and super fast! They have chips and salsa on the table before we even get fully seated. And the food is great! They have an awesome crunchy taco!

Went to the bar for a drink and dinner. Two kinds of beers on draft. The Amber was warm. I asked jokingly if they knew how to make a margarita. The "bartender" said they are pre-made unless we want another flavor. I had to think about this for a moment, then I asked if he could make me a top shelf margarita. He asked what I wanted in it then disappeared into the kitchen. He came back and said they don't have the materials to make it, they were already made this morning. This while I'm sitting AT THE BAR looking at the liquor bottles lined up behind him. We asked for the beer price so we could pay for it and go. He said "about like $3". We left a five and left this place immediately.

This place seems on par with the other Mexican restaurants in Mobile. Nothing to brag about. We have always had good service when we dine there. Food is always served with no delay. They have seating for small to large groups. Decent place to go with friends.

This use to be our staple Mexican restaurant. Alas, no longer. Our waitress was horrible. She mixed up our orders and gave the impression she really didn't want to be there. The prices have gone up, understandable, but the serving size and quality have gone way down. We will be looking for a new Mexican staple.

Service was very good and the kids ate for 99 cents on Monday. The food was okay, but a very small cup of queso dip was $3.85! I'll be back, but I won't order the queso!
