Wow! What a nice surprise. Cafe 615 was great. I got the Cafe 615 salad, which I loved. Only downside was the amount of time it takes to eat there. I tried to go for lunch during a work day, and almost didn't make it back to work in my allotted time.

Came in Saturday around 3. It's on a busy corner with a series of hip restaurants, bars and shops. Parking could be difficult if you don't feel comfortable walking a block and parking in front of someone's house. We were there in the middle of the day so parking was decent. Super cute place that's great for a date, friends or a group. I love the outdoor patio with climbing ivy on the walls and the option to sit inside at a long bar in the AC. They also have a seating area for larger groups inside that is separate from the bar. I wish they had fans outside as it got hot. It's dog friendly too! The waitress wasn't the fastest but it was not unbearable. She didn't tell us the mimosas were bottomless or that brunch was served till five ( I saw that on a sign in bathrooms). She also overcharged me and when I said something she looked like she didn't hear me; when I came back from the bathroom the bill was fixed. Interesting. When I left some people had just gotten there and were starting to be drunkenly loud. I suspect the barbacks and waitress seemed listless and apathetic due to having to deal with loud drunk people on the regular My boyfriend gave the pork chops and three cheese grits a 4.5/5; the grits were great to me as well. I had the filet burger which was average to me but the boo gave it a 4/5. The 615 salad was the bomb with blackberries and just the right amount of vinaigrette; I loved that. I did think the prices were high for the portion sizes - everything's 15 bucks and up. Also the mimosas are great for being bottomless but otherwise average. People were super friendly and kept starting convos with us which I couldn't decide if that was based on Mobile being friendly in general, our dog being cute and/or them bring tipsy. A lovely day regardless! I would come back but probably just to drink since I am cheap.

Saturday brunch was yummy, I ordered the fried green tomatoes topped with lump crab meat. Did I mention bottomless champagne for only $5!!! Only thing I didn't like was the live music was a bit too loud for me and I didn't see scrambled eggs anywhere on the menu..

First off the decor and open-aired atmosphere was magical. I wanted to move in, it was so pleasant and relaxing. The brunch was phenomenal, my father in law said he would drive 10 hours again just for the pork chop. The food was definitely worth the wait. The chicken in waffles were cooked perfectly, the chicken was cooked in honey and perfectly crunchy. The skillet was perfect, amazing flavor for just sausage, eggs and hash-browns. Great start to a Saturday, we will definitely be back.

Well, I have to say I really enjoyed this place! Having never been before I didn't have expectations so to speak. We had Saturday reservations for brunch, and what a nice brunch it was! We were greeted upon arrival and seated promptly. Our waiter, I believe his name was Nick, was friendly and never did my mimosa go empty. I should mention the $5 bottomless mimosas, what a fantastic idea that is. So, I commented on the great service and now I'll say that the food was quite delicious as well. I had the french toast, it was more like a mountain of french toast, with a peanut butter glaze type sauce, crispy bacon and homestyle potatoes on the side. My cousin had the chicken and waffles, which I sampled and found to be a tasty dish. The corned beef hash was also ordered at the table and found enjoyable. Overall, I would say we had an positive experience with great food and service. Next time I find myself in Mobile, this is a place I would dine at again.

My wife and I visited this restaurant recently. The atmosphere and service were good, although I'd request to sit in the bar area if I go again because we ended up in a back room that was somewhat drab and boring. The salads were good, however overall we felt the overall experience was C rate. I ordered a martini and had to send it back because there was little to no vodka. She had the filet and I had the ribeye and they were nothing to write home about. For dessert we ordered chocolate gateaux and sugar cookie cheesecake and felt they were both a major disappointment. I hear brunch is much better!

I had been waiting for about 4 months to come here with the boyfriend. I wanted to try the fried green tomatoes with pump crab meat plus the mimosas I kept reading about. The restaurant is very nice, too bad it was super hot outside or else I would have loved sitting outside. We showed up on a Saturday evening, me super excited to try the delicious food I saw online... Only to be let down that they have a "special" menu for Saturday nights. I was completely bummed out. And the mimosas special wasn't going on. We started with the crawfish dip and chips.... Best thing ever!! I wish they could have brought out a bigger bowl and that would have been my dinner. I had the tempura shrimp... Note there isn't a side. It's literally a few shrimp dipped in bland tempura. It needed more salt, and the tempura was very thick. I've eaten lots of dishes with tempura... It's supposed to be light and crunchy. It looked like what you dip hot dogs in to make corn dogs. Just not the same. He boyfriend got the mussels and he loved them. Serving was small for a large meat and potatoes kind of guy. I know he was still hungry after. For $60 I had high hopes for this place. The atmosphere was nice but just wasn't what I expected. Will go back but for the lunch menu. I'm determined to have the green tomatoes and mimosas. Giving it one more try and hopefully things are better. There was a group of women next to us celebrating two birthdays and they were also upset that there was a special menu because they had heard about certain other items they wanted to try.

Good food. Portions are quite reasonable. Great ambience. Take away one star because the service was not very attentive. Still worth the trip.

Food was amazing! Got the crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, country fried steak, grits, and creme brûlée - all were delicious with a unique flavorful taste.

Food is absolutely excellent and the service is on par. Live music and a GREAT atmosphere with a lovely outdoor patio. The chicken and waffles were delicious and the crab cakes were on fleek. Champagne flows freely; reasonable prices and great food!! Would definitely become a regular here.

1.5 hour wait for food which was not worth it (most of it was pre-cooked anyway, the only thing they had to cook to order for us was eggs). Once the food arrived, we were disappointed; it definitely was not worth the wait or the price. It was pretty much Waffle house on steroids. Atrocious service - mainly because our waitress was overworked (she was all over the place). We did get what we asked her for, but she had so many tables , it was ridiculous. We couldn't help but feel sorry for her. Seating was bad; we were given a 2 top between 2 large parties, one consisting of drunk juveniles who were not capable of handling their alcohol. By the way, we did not witness staff carding anybody on the patio, and I think there were some underage drinkers who were a disturbance, along with the horrible live music. Bottom line, my friend and I could not hear each other and the loud drunks around us were a nuisance. No manager ever showed up to check on patrons. I tried to go to restroom 4 times, and it being a 1 person restroom, it was impossible - the restaurant was packed like a barrel of sardines. What a disappointment! Shame on you Cafe 615! You got me once, but never again!

As far as I know this is the other place for Sunday Bruch in Mobile. I'm sure there are more but as a visitor, I only know of two. They have bottomless champagne as an option for brunch, and the food was tasty, with large portions. Great environment as well, and they had live music the two times I have been there. Its not just for brunch, but that the only time I have been. Might check out dinner next time I am in town. Its worth checking out...you'll be glad you did.

Female manager (shorter, country accent) was incredibly rude to our party. She was disrespectful and unprofessional. The food was good, but she ruined the experience for us.

Hit or Miss While Mobile doesn't have many options for Sunday Brunch, this is a favorite for many reasons. They always make you feel welcome! They have a live music presence. During holidays I would recommend making reservations. On the positive, the food is ok nothing special. Endless Champagne, don't forget the BC powder. Good amount of food for the prices. It's the atmosphere, old world charm. The bad; Inconsistent I like my eggs soft scramble, how difficult can that be? Not runny, not hard but soft. During their busy/peek/rush period do not deviate from the menu. They always have issues with deviation and the kitchen staff/manager (co-owner) isn't very open to change. Your deviation is ignored for a lack of communication from you to your waiter to the kitchen. Hopeful, this establishment could be to die for, if they listened to their customers or read the reviews. But, like everything else in Mobile and the limited choices you come to except what's missing and just put up with the short coming unfortunately. It would be nice to have a featured Chef's Choice or Special. Something that's not on the menu, I am sure patrons would open their purses and wallets and experience this "New Chef's Special" and when it's all gone for the day then it's all gone, but at least you left them with something to consider and look forward to next week. Recent visit: Feb 23, 2014 Server Louis and his professionalism is what makes this a repeat place to dine and enjoy the food! Thank you Sir!

Don't just take my word for it, 615 is very good... 615 should be proud, as they were just named in National Geographic Adventure's "Next Top 50 Cities to Live and Play" in America. Mobile, landed a distinguished spot on the list, and 615 was called out as "the place to eat in Mobile." The outdoor patio, old-world charm, and solid menu contributed to their nomination. I was there when 615 opened, basking in it's early glory, and I have returned often since. Cheers 615, nicely done.

Really disappointing. Went with a group of guys I work with, we were all in town from other parts of the country/world. Had read great things about this place, maybe we went to the wrong one? I While we waited for all of our party to arrive, we had some drinks at the bar, which was fine. Once we moved to our patio table, it started go downhill and also a little surreal. Our server, who was nice enough, was quite possibly drunk. For her sake I hope that was the case. She couldn't keep our drink orders straight, if she got them at all. One of our party had asked for a refill on his wine, and after 30 mins. the waitress had completely forgotten it and asked him AGAIN if he wanted more. As if he had never made the first request. When asked about the specials, her response was "we have a mahi". 5 minutes later I realized there was a specials board at the entrance, which I carried to our table so everyone could see the 4 or 5 choices. It's important to note that there were maybe 5-6 tables in the restaurant at this point, and at least 2 servers and a bartender/hostess. Enough about her, she has her own problems. There was a pork chop that came out almost rare, and the server informed us "that's the way the serve it". Would have been nice to know if advance. That meal was not eaten. Two other had meals that they agreed had a "frozen food" taste to them. They couldn't finish either. Finally, when I asked for a manager I was told that he (the owner) was on the property and they would get him. I waited at the bar for 5 minutes then went back to my table. Checked back 10 minutes later to find the bartender I asked showing pictures on her Iphone to a customer. She said she'd go find him "in a minute". He was clearly avoiding me since they kept changing their story, ultimately telling me he'd be back in 10 minutes. I'd expect this type of experience at a diner at 2am on a Saturday night, not at one of the highest priced establishments in the area. Will not be back.

Yummy food, but do NOT come here for lunch if you are expecting to get in and out in 45 mins

Expensive but good. Love the free flowing mimosas, they should add other juices besides orange juice though. A place in San Diego offered strawberry and pineapple juices and man was it yummy!

This place was great! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so relaxing but elegant. The service made me feel like I was at a five star restaurant but the prices were very reasonable.

This review is only for Sunday brunch as I've never been for lunch or dinner. Fun time just realize their brunch is really popular so things may be slower. Just relax, drink and enjoy the atmosphere. It's also pricey for what you get although it was good. Lost a few stars due to wait and price but we'll be back!

One of the best meals I've ever had! I had the lobster pasta dish, and it was cooked perfectly. 615 has a wonderful wine selection also. The servers are helpful in that they know the menu well, and have good suggestions according to your preferences. I highly recommend it for a nice dining experience !

WHEN IN DOUBT, ASK THE CHAMPANGEL!!!! I must recommend #SteakFriday and the amazing weekend brunch special. All you can drink champagne during brunch for only $5 As Cher would say, Cafe 615 had me at hello. Impeccable service with personable staff in the heart of Downtown Mobile.

Brunch at 615 is all about the bottomless champagne. The food is fine, but let's be honest, you're there to get day-drunk at the hands of a woman dressed as an angel with a magnum of pedestrian sparkling wine. The courtyard is beautiful in nice weather, with live music to boot. Inside, there is an inexplicably large tv that should be avoided in the name of civilized brunch.

One of the better brunches I have been to in a long time. Good service, good company and a good meal. Highly recommended...

I am very puzzled at all the glowing reviews. While my one experience is not sufficient to make a complete judgement, I would guess that it's also a matter of the Midtown crowd's tastes vs. mine. First, the menu is seriously overpriced. For example, the specialty soup of the day was $8 for what amounted to half a cup. Second, the quality of the food is only just good, no way is it so superior that it justifies the price gouging. My wife's shrimp and pasta dish was mundane (I do all the cooking for my family, so I'm more attuned to what goes into dishes) and her "Creole Salad" was merely a paltry romaine leaf salad with a few fried okra instead of croutons. Lastly, as others have mentioned, the service is deathly slow and horribly inattentive. This was my first and last time to waste money at this place.

Stopped by for Sunday Brunch. I had the chicken and waffles which were pretty good. It came with 5 chicken strips and half a waffle breakfast potatoes, cheese grits and eggs for $24.99 plus a drink. My friend had the lobster crepes and he said they were awesome. You can make your own Bloody Mary and they have champagne and mimosas. I plan on returning and trying some of the other breakfast entrees. If you are looking for something different in Mobile for Brunch, give this place a try.

Inconsistent. I ordered the exact same brunch on 2 separate Sundays and had totally different experiences. It can be great or terrible. I don't think we'll go back after this past brunch. The food sucked and the service was not good.

I agree with others on here, my favorite place in Mobile for Sunday Brunch just watch your wallet for dinner...it can sneak up and smack ya pretty hard.

Individually owned, very nice menu, take chances with their menu, which is hard to find with Mobile restaurants. A bit overpriced, but the staff is very cordial with people to make up for it. Been there three times, Not for children.

This is a foodies food palace! It was a breath of fresh air! Today we were in a hurry... Which they are not ever in a hurry, everything is fresh! We asked what was the quickest and he said their soup de jour. It was a seafood orzo, fresh home made bread. It was so amazing!! Our waiter was a gentleman from Louisiana and fabulous. He kept the fresh coffee flowing and, our expectations were more than met! The facility is great, for old Mobile. Cute outdoor patio. I would recommend calling if you have a large party to fully meet your parties expectations, as always!!

I've been in Mobile working for a couple of weeks and 615 was one of the recommended place to check out. The environment is good...cool patio and nice inside, but the food was just ok (and over priced in my opinion) and the service not so good. Definately been to better place in Mobile. I would not try this place again.

One of the few restaurants in Mobile that will accept reservations - so it gets a lot of my "business" business. The food is very good - the service has always been exceptional and they seem to really appreciate their customers. I'd say one of the better "fine dining" establishments in Mobile.

Some of my colleagues/friends and I went for Sunday brunch. It was something that had been talked about for weeks, and we finally got around to doing it. When I showed up, my friends were already there and were sitting at a table outside on the patio. I could have attributed how miserable I was from the blistering heat to me not being from the south, but my friends were equally as miserable. So, we decided to try to get a table inside. That was no problem. Although there was no table available inside when we arrived, one quickly became available. I'd have to say that the food and drinks were good, but that was all overshadowed by the awful service. We got there around 11:30 am and didn't leave until around 2 pm. Yes, we enjoy each other's company, but not that much. I wish that I could look at the bright side of things and say that the bottomless mimosas/bloody marys made all that time spent there a bit more bearable. The champagne pourer came by frequently, which was good, but I asked for orange juice about 3 times, and my friends tried to ask for orange juice on my behalf a few times, but still nothing. One of my colleagues had to go up to the bar and ask for some, and I finally got it. Once our order was finally taken, the bread pudding came out not too awfully long afterwards. This place does earn a point for the bread pudding. It was delicious. However, it took an exceptionally long time after that to get the rest of my food. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which came with two eggs, potatoes, cheese grits, and an english muffin or biscuit. When my food came out, my biscuit was not there. I had to ask for it. And once I was already done with my food, the biscuit arrived. One of the people that I was with asked to not have any grits on her plate. When her food arrived, there was a heaping pile of grits. That was a huge bummer because she dislikes grits so much that she would not eat anything that touched them. Due to the awful service, we would have been sitting there for an eternity had she asked to have it corrected. The bottomless mimosas and the blood mary bar is a great concept. The products that they use are decent, especially for being bottomless. As far as the food goes, I've never had grits that I liked until that day. The chicken and waffles were good, however I might try something else next time. The eggs were eggs, you can't say much about eggs. If I was rating food alone, I would give 3-4 stars. However, I just can't see wasting that much of my day for such service. The thing that gets me even more is that this a one of the pricier restaurants in the area, and is supposed to be a bit more upscale. Usually there is a good trade-off. If you pay a higher price, you expect better food and better service. I find that Mobile breaks mold when it comes to standards and what is usually true. What is up with that? Please, Mobile, prove me wrong.

Meets expectations for a $30 per entree. However, it didn't surpass any of my expectations. The filet was good and so was the lobster penne, but the best part was the creme brûlée dessert.

How lucky can you get... we found Cafe 615 by accident as we were in Mobile on business around lunch time, driving down Dauphin Street looking for a likely source of food. Oh, wow. The signature salad, the 615 salad, is just amazingly delicious, sweet and sour (with a nice bleu cheese) meshed with crunchy and tender in a salad symphony. I got it as a side with my medium-rare filet wrap... double wow. Everything was excellent, my son raved about the flat bread pizza of the day with its ham, cheese, spinach, bacon and peppers with a subtle afterburn, and my husband completely demolished his entree as well. There was attentively-filled sweet tea and so much wonderful lunch that we couldn't even make room for the wonderful-sounding desserts. We'll be back to try that creme brulee -- unfinished business!

This is my favorite place to go for Sunday Brunch! It has New Orleans style feel to its courtyard and even live music playing! Plus $3 bottomless mimosas aren't a bad thing for the pocket book either! It has something for everyone, at night the bar is hopping with late 20s and up professionals, romantic dinner, and laid back southern brunches! The entrees are all good...I've tried several! I always have a wonderful time here and the staff is always very polite and savvy!
