Food and Helpfulness: The food is definitely a 5 star, but I can't say the same about the service sometimes. We've had to wait over 20 to 30 minutes to be served here since it's a super busy place. You know the food is great when they're packed. I had the spring rolls and bun bo hue. Amazing taste. The service isn't terribly bad, but don't expect it to be quick. Appearance and Hygiene: The restaurant is on a smaller scale in terms of size with dim lighting, but it is clean with decorations. Not sure about bathroom since I haven't used it there. There probably is one I think.

The first time my wife suggested we meet here for lunch, I laughed out loud. I thought "there's no way in h$ll I'm eating that stuff". She kept on and I realized she was serious. Uh oh, now what? I can hang up and act like I have a bad cell signal. I could say I was sick. In a meeting. Ahhh, how can I get out of this!!?? Okay, fine. I'll keep her happy and try it just once. I mean, how bad could it be, right? WOW! This place is AMAZING! We meet for lunch here at least once a week now. The Pho is amazing and I love the clay pots. I've tried several different things and have always been pleased. When you're there, you can see that a lot of local Vietnamese people are there eating. That should tell you something. Even if you can't imagine yourself eating Vietnamese food - like me - GO. Just do it. You won't be sorry.

This is a great family ran restaurant. The service is fast and really nice. They have a lot of choices when it comes to items. I got the Pho with everything in it. It was really good. What I like was the meat. It tasted good. The broth was a little too oily and greasy for me. The noodles were in a bundle and stuck together. They weren't as al dente as most. Nonetheless, the flavor was still there. The pork chop broken rice was good. For the price it can be a little more meat. I wish the rice had better flavor than the standard white rice it was still delicious. The dessert has coconut milk, mung beans, red beans, and it was BOMB DOT COM. I loved it. The lady noticed I was sitting there without food and she instantly asked if I was good and if I needed anything else. She was super friendly. Ample parking and they take credit card. Come here and get pho!

I'm from Atlanta and have had some pretty good Pho, so trust me when I tell you that this place has AWESOME Pho. I've tried the chicken, beef and seafood and love all three (the beef is my favorite). Their claypots are just ok but that's fine because I come here for the Pho. I don't know what's up with all the negative comments about the middle-aged waitress. I've had her several times and never had an issue. She's always been friendly. I'll admit that she has an abrasive side to her but that type of thing doesn't really bother me. Every time I've come here they were packed but I was still seated right away. It does take a while for the food to come out so I would not recommend spending a lot of time deciding what you want. Can't beat the prices. Under $30 for a table of 3 5 stars!!

I was very skeptical to try the pho at first because a lot can go wrong if the restaurant doesn't know how to cook it. Regardless, I missed Pho so much that I have to try it. To my surprised it hit the spot and I was very satisfied. It was pretty legit and the broth was very flavorful. The broth wasn't filled with MSG like most places I have visited. I would recommend this place.

This place is nice, i love their food. Its my first time here and I ordered the beef vermicalla, suppose to be spicy. But, ir really wasnt. I will Come back.

Yesterday we visited this restaurant and it was the first time we ever had Vietnamese food. It certainly will not be the last! We were under the impression that Vietnamese food was very spicy. It is not (though some dishes are, many are not). We had spring rolls, Pho with beef (thought we should try a classic Vietnamese dish) and vermicelli noodles with prawns. Everything was delicious!! Even though they were very busy, we waited only a few minutes for a table even on a Friday night. The service was quick and the prices very reasonable. If we lived nearby, we would be regulars. Now we will have to search for a good Vietnamese restaurant in NJ.

Came across Viet Huong because my aunt wanted to take us out to eat and we thought Pho would be great. We went at 2 PM and this place was busy. Just about 2/3 of the restaurant was full. The service was good as the lady got us whatever we needed. The food did take a while to come out and most of us did order beef pho or chicken pho. I would think it would be simple because the broth is usually made ahead of time. The beef pho seemed like it was salty and I didn't really like the beef slices because it seemed like a beef jerky texture. I wouldn't mind coming back to try a different dish.

How's the ambience? It's cute! Is the food good? It's alright! (Says my boyfriend who ordered the pho but only finished half.) Is the service good? I'm convinced that the middle aged waitress who took our orders is a complete psychopath! I came into the restaurant tonight with my boyfriend and a friend of his. I ordered the grilled pork and shrimp with jasmine rice. My order came out first, and I saw that the pork was not only sliced super small and thin, but BURNT. The shrimp was burnt too. When she came out with the other two entrees (pho and some other noodle dish), I politely asked her "Umm.. I'm sorry, can I exchange this? It's a little too burnt for me.." I kid you not, this is how our conversation went. Waitress: No... NO... This is NOT burnt, you just don't like it, I know. Me: ....Excuse me? Waitress: IT IS NOT BURNT. IT IS GRILLED AND THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE, YOU JUST DON'T LIKE IT, MA'AM, I KNOW. Me: (In disbelief of the words I am hearing right now) B-b-but I didn't even touch it, look at the- Waitress: I KNOW!!! You just don't like it but this is how it is. I can exchange it for you. You can order something else but you still have to pay for this one. Me: ..That's........ridiculous. Boyfriend: Okay, just order something else, it's fine. Me: No, thank you. Waitress: I can bring a box for you to bring this home. Me: No, thanks. Waitress: -brings menu and angrily hands it to me- I will bring this to plate check with the cook!! Waitress: -brings the plate to a different waitress- IS THIS BURNT???? Waitress #2: ....N-n-n-no... Waitress: -brings plate back to my table- See, it's not burnt, ma'am, you just don't like it. You can order something else. and then this crazy b---- had the NERVE to tell my boyfriend: "I can box this up for YOU since you like it, but NOT for HER." It took all the strength in me to be the bigger person and not add on to the ratchetness happening in that restaurant. TLDR; The middle aged waitress is a psychopath. The food smelled good.

So good! If you go during lunch get there at exactly 1055 to open at 11; or by 1145 for the first sweaters getting up. The Pho is amazing, and the clay pots are too. A must are the spring rolls. The special or seafood clay pot is great..the rice is sizzling and can get a great texture before being stirred(it's cooked in the clay pot, I always ordering extra spicy) the Beef Steak Pho is great. Wonderful broth flavor. The spring rolls are to die for. Very authentic!

I live in LA and I LOVE Vietnamese food. This place is awesome! Got the Vermicelli noodles w/egg roll and pork. Delicious! Make sure u pour the sauce and peanuts that come with it into ur bowl and if u like spicy, add some of the squeeze bottle of chunky spicy red pepper sauce and some hoisin for an authentic noodle bowl. AWESOME!!!!!!!

P1 Pho is not to be missed. Service was extremely friendly and prices are right for this area, under $50 for a table of three. Recommend!

I came here with a co-worker and we were both oblivious to Vietnamese cuisine. Thankfully, the server was super helpful and offered many suggestions. It was clear by looking around the room that the soup and clay pots were crowd favorites. I ordered the Chicken Clay pot and he the seafood clay pot. I also ordered us some spring rolls to try. Neither of us were too fond of the spring rolls. The chewy rice paper just wasn't for us. My lunch mate tried cutting his in half on a napkin, which is not suggested since it will stick, and the server noticed and brought him a fresh roll. The Clay pots were very good. Came out steaming hot. At first I didn't get everyone's enthusiasm about the crunchy rice at the bottom but once you stir it up you can notice the smokey flavor and texture element it adds. The more I ate of the dish the more I liked it. I appreciated the tender cooked vegetables, never have been crazy about tender-crisp veggies so common in Chinese dishes. I also liked trying out the sauces on the table which added a great flavor and spice to the dish. My favorite was the chili sauce. Definitely one to come back to. Saw several dishes I'd like to try during the extended time I studied the menu.

Seems like one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The food was okay. I ordered pho and a pork & rice plate to go. I placed my order 20 minutes in advance over the phone for pick up. The lady over the phone told me that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived, the order wasn't ready and the front desk employee told me that it would be another 5 minutes. I waited for an additional 20 minutes standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant near the register. The restaurant was very busy and packed for the lunch rush. However, if they had stated over the phone that the order would take 40 minutes, I would've come at the appropriate time. Communication & customer service was a huge failure. I have found an alternate Vietnamese restaurant in the area with better service and about the same level of tastiness.

The pho soup has a deep flavor, tons of toppings and fresh nooles. The BBQ pork vermicelli is very tasty as well. Do not miss their chicken wings! It's their best kept secret! Tip: go right at 11am or be ready to wait in line.

Easily my favorite Asian restaurant in Huntsville now that Mikawa has closed. It's the only Vietnamese place in town I know and it rivals some of my favorites in Atlanta, Houston, and Chicago. The management team is always nice and pretty much know what I'm going to order when I come in no matter at the beginning of the week or the end. Try each pho if you can. Spring rolls and spice chicken wing appetizers are great; rangoons are a go-to as well. Believe everybody, the Thai tea is... great. Many of the clay pots offered on the lunch menu are great as well. I'd recommend coming out of cycle-either 11am or 1pm unless you mind waiting a while... and especially on Fridays. The crowd is usually diverse and again, that's a good thing. I'm usually in line at least once a week.

I was initially unsure of trying Vietnamese food but I have been won over. I have a couple of favorites that I can't seem to pass up - A11 (spring roll), B4 (vermicelli) and P2 (pho). Basically get anything with the charbroiled pork. It's AMAZING. It's always crazy at lunch so just be prepared and it can be chilly if you are seated by the door. We have had a couple of issues-food taking too long and having to get it to-go; orders getting messed up including someone not getting their food (that would be me) - but we still go back.

We found everything really good. Son (his name) was a fabulous waiter, energetic and helpful. Try entree B6! We also had spring rolls and soup. All very good. Very reasonably priced. This would cost lots more in Atlanta for similar quality! Glad we found them.

The lunch portions were very good and very hearty! I was useless after lunch and needed a big long nap in a hammock. The food was too good to leave behind. I had something I can't pronounce but if memory serves, it was the C24? Don't quote me on that though. I was very tasty and I wish I knew what it is called so I could order it again somewhere else. This was my first experience at a Vietnamese restaurant and has spurned me to try more. The service was surprisingly prompt as we were there during the lunch rush. Try the spring rolls too. If you don't like them, you can send them my way. I will gladly devour them.

The environment was nice but I must say this middle aged, long black hair, pale-ish face woman who worked the night shift yesterday (02/07) around 9pm is one the worst waitress ever . She is extremely crazy and she does not know anything about customer service . I would never ever come back to this restaurant EVER until the day she gets fired and gets sent to a mental institution .

I'm so pleased with the pho here that I'm not even going to dare to venture to another Vietnamese restaurant within the area. With that being said, I lived in Denver for 15 years with over 20 of the best pho restaurants within 2 miles from my house. VH is definitely on the same level as my favorite places there, which is hard to beat and some of the best contenders in the country. If they served banh mi sandwiches, I would probably even buy a Viet Huong t shirt and annoy people by telling them about my love for this lil' gem. I live in Decatur and will venture on the drive to Huntsville to get my "fix on." Oh, and don't forget to try tha boba tea (people here call it bubble tea, not sure which one is correct?"

Viet Huong is a win! If you like piping hot soups and flavor packed dishes Viet Huong is the place to go. There is a solid amount of options on the menu but it has just been hard for me to get anything but the tofu noodle soup. It is difficult to get a tofu version of this dish in Chicagoland so finding it here is a huge plus! On top of that it is fantastic; noodles, tofu, carrots, onions, broccoli, and so much more in big bowl of the broth. There is a pile of fresh thai basil, bean sprouts, cilantro, lime and jalapenos to throw in the bowl. Of course I put everything in saving the jalapenos for he very end so that the spice infuses into the soup. I went with the large size which seems to be just right for a meal, the XL was indeed huge and could easily be shared. On the side I got some tofu spring rolls which were great with the sweet peanut sauce. I also got a Thai iced tea to drink which is always great. sweet and rich with the slightly bitter after taste of the tea. There was a wide variety of more exotic drinks but I decided to stick with what I know and love. Viet Huong's service is both very good and just okay at the same time. Things move fast, they ask you what you want to drink before you sit down, they take your order after about 2 minutes so be ready, the food comes out quite fast and they come by a fill your cup up with water the second you need it. However, I had to wait to get chop sticks and a soup spoon. Somethings just to translate to western utensils and the giant noodle soup bowl is one of them....unless you like cold soup and have 2 hours to eat it. Overall, everything was great and I will be back!

I love the beef pho but I find it best to order the beef on the side an cook it in the broth to my preferred done-ness. The beef clay pot is yummy too! I always order it with extra pineapple (2 pieces is not enough for me). I wish they could get a bigger place but it's still a nice cozy environment regardless. The Thai tea here is a little bitter but still nice :)

I tried this place because it had gotten good reviews on Yelp and normally Yelp doesn't disappoint me. This time, I'm sorry to say that it did. Coming from Northern California, I'm eaten a lot of pho. I've even had homemade pho made by the mothers of friends who had grown up in Vietnam. Given this, I probably shouldn't have expected too much from a pho restaurant in Alabama. I had been craving a nice bowl of pho so I went on Yelp and found this place. I ordered a small pho tai and spring rolls. The pho was ridiculously salty so I ended up having a lot of broth leftover. I tried to tone it down by adding more bean sprouts but to no avail. The spring rolls were okay but the noodle to other stuff ratio was about 5:1. I know that a lot of ethnic restaurants have had to adjust their food to the Southern palate, but I would not come here again unless I'm dying for a bowl of pho or if I can't find a better restaurant.

I used to love this place. In a prior review I raved about it. We went for Pho and a clay pot one night. The place was not busy, but not one of the waitresses seemed concerned with helping us. We did place our order and received our spring roll in a long, but tolerable time. Then the take out business was rolling in and out of the door. Their dinner time must have hit. Their Pho and clay pots were brought out and the waitresses all sat eating dinner. Us? Well they did t really care to serve us or anyone else there. We paid for the appetizer and our beverages and left hungry. It's seems others have found their service lacking lately. Not planning on going back

This small Vietnamese restaurant was packed during lunch on a Monday, but service was still very fast. They have a large menu of lots of Vietnamese dishes, such as vermicelli, rice, clay pots, etc., but all I had was their pho. The pho broth was a little lacking in spices (expected more cinnamon and star anise flavor), but I perked it up with some Sriracha, peppers, and basil. There was a good amount of sliced beef and rice noodles in the dish which were perfectly cooked, so overall I was satisfied. For the low prices, large portion sizes, and quick service, it's a great spot for lunch any day.

  • Stannon B.

A little pricier than I want for a lunch meal, but great food in an intimate environment. I opted for the Beef Clay Pot and a single eggroll. The eggroll was great, almost overshadowed by the marinated veggies on the side (carrots and daikon?). The Clay pot was good, but made even better when I finally was able to empty onto a plate (the pot held the heat and made it difficult to eat). The chile paste was flavorful and gave just the right tone to the dish. This is a huge menu, but don't be put off by it. If new to Vietnamese fare, try the Pho (soup, pronounced "phuh") or the rice/vermicelli dishes.

Super Slow!!! Bad food. Back again today and was thoroughly disappointed. Food taste mediocre. Food portion is on the small side to medium at best. Time for food to arrive took 45 minutes after we ordered only 3 noodles and a rice. The worst part was that they rushed our food out after our long wait. Beef was bloody red and cold in the center. Yuck! Soup was warm not hot. Rice clay pot had hardly any rice at all, mostly just bamboo shoot that came from a preserved jar. My dad's beef stew was chunks of tasteless chewy beef in soy sauce water. It had no flavor and def not marinated like supposed to. We knew they forgot our order but rushed to put everything together after we asked about our food. I rather they be honest with us and serve decent food. People who came in after us ate and left before we even saw our food. At one point, the boss lady brought two noodles over to me and said "This is for that other table. Yours is next." They came in after us! What a disgrace on their part today. We won't come back anymore. Was a fan two years ago, but not anymore.

Stopped by for lunch today. They open at 11 and thanks to a fellow yelper, it was mentioned that they get pretty busy at lunch time. Lucky me, I went shortly after 11am and was seated right away though there was already a full house. Sure enough, traffic started picking up even more come noon. I ordered pho and another noodle salad dish. Let's say, I've had better pho. This pho was plain and lacked flavor, which is what pho is all about. Come to California for there are good quality pho aplenty! And with flavor. This pho obviously does not rate in my book. I have yet to taste the noodle salad. I asked for it to go and waited about 10 minutes for a to-go box and a small container for the salad dressing/juice. I was going to see how long it would take before I was acknowledged again. It's interesting how they were cleaning table pretty fast trying to get the crowd in yet, no one acknowledged me. I sat there waiting as I was already done with my pho and had pushed my bowl away from me with my credit card out as to signal that I was done. Finally, another waitress asked if I needed anything. I told her I wanted a to-go box. Needless to say, the to-go box didn't come with a bag. Disappointed that I had a two container boxes with no bag. I realized you pay at the register so as I went up, I asked for a bag and plastics forks. The lady rang me up, gave me my card to sign and quickly said thank you as she ran to the back kitchen. I really shouldn't have tipped them. It was almost a pity tip. Unfortunately, it's few and far in-between that I have experience good customer service at an Asian restaurant. Sorry Huntsville. I know there are great reviews on this restaurant but it definitely did not warrant a good review based on my experience today.

  • Elle E J.

Let me preface this review by stating that I am new to Vietnamese food, therefore this is not a comparison to authenticity or other locations. That being said, I have been here a handful of times now and my only disappointment has been that there is never enough leftovers. As previous reviews have stated, the clay pot is incredible and it is hard to stray from that. I typically get the seafood pot. I just love all the flavors and the rice is so wonderfully crispy. I have only tried the bun once...It was good, no complaints, but I missed the clay pot. The charbroiled pork springs rolls are also quite tasty. They are very cilantro-y so be prepared for that...I wouldn't mind a bit more meat either. If the place is busy, expect a fairly lengthy wait/meal. However, on my most recent visit, a group of friends and I told the waitress we were on a dinner break time constraint and she hurried the dishes out as well as to-go boxes and the check so we wouldn't have to wait any longer.

I've only been here twice, but both experiences were awesome. I can't speak on the authenticity, but it is really good food. The staff was really friendly both times I went and helpful when answering my questions. I will definitely be back.

My lunch a couple days ago was at VH. Recommended by a couple of friends to try their clay pots, which I did order. The place is your typical strip-mall cafe, a dozen-or-so tables, and dimly lit. I was greeted promptly, and got my drink fast. I felt the wait for my food was a little too long, but the food made up for the wait. My chicken clay pot was fantastic, but be warned, the bottom of the pot is very hot... The rice will burn your tongue! Be sure to stir the ingredients from the bottom to the top. Will make a return visit.

One of my favorite asian place in the area. The food is very tasty... Always. We had been there at least once a month in a last 2 years and never were disappointed. Pho is definitely a signature dish, all Phos are delicious. I recently got addicted to their vermicelli dishes, full of flavors and bursting with spices.

I love this restaurant, especially since I am obsessed with pho. I have no complaints about any of the food I've eaten there. I've had the beef pho with all fixings (P1) and it's amazing. The clay pots are really good too. My only complaint is that they don't have bubble tea. Every vietnamese restaurant I've been to has them.

One of my favorite Asian restaurants. The servers want you to enjoy your meal, and the kitchen will accommodate special requests. The TV is tuned into CNN and muted for easy conversation. 7 foot walls with windows create a foyer which shields diners from (entrance) door drafts. The walls above the chair rail are freshly painted in a golden tan, and spaced with framed art work using colored mats. Combined with the bamboo shades, this strip-mall cubicle becomes a serene oasis for a pleasant meal. The carpeted floor reduces sound, but the hard walls still make noisy children hard to ignore. The food is terrific, healthy & tasty. It is more Vietnamese than pan-Asian. Their rice paper-wrapped Spring rolls are freshly made, large and inexpensive. The warmed fish sauce (slightly spicy) is perfect for their chicken salad (cabbage) appetizer. I love the bûn because the noodles are slender, perfectly cooked, and the meat is chargrilled and moist. My husband likes the seafood clay pot (has rice). This restaurant might not impress a first date, but it's great for a married couple's date night. They will combine tables to accommodate parties up to 16 people.

I have eaten here once many years ago, but I think they have greatly expanded the menu. The food was very good. One of the best Asian restaurants in Huntsville now. I especially enjoyed the nice and friendly wait staff. Seems to be family owned, which I prefer.

Great! This is a gem in huntsville! I will definitely be back when I got to work again there in May! The PHo was fantastic! It was well just simply PHO! I was really impressed. It was a small spot. Very clean. The service was good a must go! Great Pho in Alabama

Closer to 3.5. Good solid cooking! Not fancy but good. Had lemongrass tofu and fresh veggie spring rolls. Veggie spring rolls were ok--nothing special but not bad. Lemongrass tofu pretty good although it was almost like a soup (and wasn't supposed to be). Tofu had good flavor and wasn't too oily or salty. Good home style food

By far the best Asian food I've had in this area. The Phó is great, very tasty and large portions for the size. The clay pots are also very good. Reasonable prices too. Service was friendly and helpful, but our waitress had a strong 'feet' smell whenever she walked by. Facilities are okay- very open seating so the noise can get high. Bathroom was okay, everything in working order, but I spotted a dead roach in the light fixture.

I arrived about 3PM on a Wednesday afternoon. The place had several Vietnamese eating happily and there was plenty of space at this time. It is one of the few Asian restaurants open after lunch but before dinner time. The service was okay--not particularly inspired waitresses. I selected a table and sat. I waited a little while longer than expected for the sparse number of patrons. The dinner table had regular utensils and no chop sticks. The food, however, came out quickly. I ordered Thai Tea and the Tofu hotpot. The Thai tea was sweet, as expected, and flavorful. I also tasted the soybean and tapioco balls drink, which was very soybean tasting but reasonably good and sweet. Although the ingredients seemed fresh, the Tofu hotpot however was a disappointment. The rice was rather dry and nearly crunchy. The vegetables didn't taste like anything except drenched soy sauce. And, the whole dish seemed more oily than required. Still, it satisfied me enough. The price didn't impress me. I feel like I could have gotten better deal elsewhere. The portion size was reasonable but not large. I suspect the pho and other items are better, per the reviews here. But, my experience was mediocre. Strangely enough, when I got to my car, there was a business card for their competition stuck on my window. Maybe I'll try them next time.

I came with a friend who raved about their soup! I had the vegetarian clay pot and tried some of her soup (pho)... It was sooo good!! I came back the very next day for dinner alone. The only thing that's not right is the size of the place, if only it was a little bigger (the dinner crowd packs it out). One of my fave places to bring out-of-towners!

This is one of my favorite Huntsville restaurants. The value, to start, is excellent. The food is tasty, the service is superb, and the prices - fairly low, though not cheap - are a bargain in light of the quality here. The menu has all the southeast Asian staples - pho, hot pots, noodles. Each one is just wonderfully put together, attractive and inviting on the plate (or pot). The flavors are warm and accessible. The ingredients that are supposed to be fresh are fresh and crisp, the ones that are supposed to be sizzling crackle joyously and are wonderfully caramelized. The crispy tofu is nicely chewy (though I like it best even more so), the pork is just a little smoky, the shrimp nicely done and not overdone. It's always busy, but the service is still excellent. It must be a family-run place, because everyone works together well (but sometimes bicker just a bit). It's clean, the table service is efficient, and we rarely have to wait even when most tables are full. Viet Huong is a restaurant that other restaurants might do well to use as a benchmark. Go there. Often.

The best food in Huntsville: It has affordable prices for generous portions, a friendly wait-staff that remember all of their return customers, and you will leave content in having gone.

When you think of Huntsville, you are not thinking of Pho, and you would be wrong specially at this spot. I went with my co-workers and their Pho are amazing. The chicken broth was really good and the noodle were prepared well. I also got their traditional thai ice tea with tapioca, it was good but not great. The portion size for the price is reasonable.

This place has become one of my staple restaurants to eat. The staff are friendly, they have a great expansive menu and the food is always perfect and I have had Pho in many different cities and states and I believe this may be my favorite. I would advise anyone to try this restaurant as the quality is great and the price very reasonable. My favorite is the A2 Spring rolls and the P1 Pho which basically has everything in it. If your a Pho fan this place is great. If your not a pho fan never fret as they have a lot of other tasty items such as the Clay pot dishes. It's a very clean facility and just an all around pleasant place to dine. Good job guys!!

If you are a neophyte to this style food I suggest you start with the clay pots. But, truth be told, most folks come for the Pho! You won't find any better. You can also tell the old hands who are there to eat Pho! If you don't know the nuances, watch one of the Vietnamese families always eating there - you'll figure out what to do with the chop sticks, the soup spoon, the cilantro and the fresh bean sprouts. Don't forget the hot sauce either. Not a fan of tripe, you can get many variations of Pho that perfectly authentic. You can tell the newbies, they order Spring Rolls and are then shocked aren't like you get in a Chinese restaurant. They are often dumbfounded by Pho and try to eat it only with a spoon. Hilarity is often the result! Truth is, the place is always crowded. They could add another 10 tables and people would still be lining up to get in. So it comes down to this ... food's great, most of the servers speak good English, but it's advisable to use the number on the menu to make sure you get what you think you ordered. "V2" can get ya "B2" if you don't confirm it! It's Vegetarian friendly, not sure if it is Vegan friendly though.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntsville. All of their food is outstanding. My fave is the B4. It is always tasty and cooked to perfection. It doesn't get better than this.

Love this place. The service is a little slow though. I've never been disappointed in the food. The P6 pho with beef is always amazing. The Thai tea never disappoints and neither do the spring rolls. I've had their clay pots before, which were just OK, nothing really special.

Love their Clay Pots. My wife and I usually get the Chicken Clay pot...rice on the very bottom is crunchy and well done and it creates a great texture when all mixed together. Carrots, water chestnuts, broccoli...and pineapple chunks...all mixed with a wonderful sauce and brought to the table in a very hot clay pot. Awesome comfort food with or without Sarachi, Fish Oil or their own extra spicy blend. Crunchy egg rolls are always done perfectly. Whenever it's cold, I suggest "Clay Pot" to my wife. But, just because summer arrives, doesn't mean I'll stop eating here!

We've been waiting for 1/2 an hour or more for our food. The service here is exceptionally bad and the flavor is mediocre at best. The owner/ manager was not very accommodating during a conversation inquiring about gluten in their products. And now we've aged a bit waiting for our meals. I will never come back to this restraint unless I have a serious craving and can't control myself.

Came here to try the most delicious Pho in Huntsville I've been hearing about. Was seated in the back of the restaurant to the left of the counter and service door. Five minutes after being seated we heard a strange noise coming from behind the counter. Upon glancing over we both saw what appeared to be a kitchen worker using his hands to wash his face and blow his nose in a sink right before our eyes. Needless to say we immediately left to never return again. I don't know why he didn't just go to the bathroom instead of using a sink right by the service door that leads to the dining area. I'm not sure how delicious the Pho is and at this point I don't care to find out.

Very good pho. I'm an outta towner from the DC area and I was pleasantly surprised. Yelped this place. Service great. broth and noodles very flavorful. Lil light on the sprouts but definitely would recommend.

Considering their very reasonable prices, I was pleasantly surprises that everything looked and tasted so wonderfully fresh. As another reviewer recently noted, the salt and pepper shrimp had me perplexed. I can deal with munching on shrimp, exoskeleton and all...but it should still be deveined. Since the shrink was cooked right (not overcooked, to their credit) leaving the poop chute in has got to be a big health risk. It seems that an attempt to devein was made, but more than half remained on average. Other than this one item, everything else was great, so still 4 stars. ***UPDATE: We went back, as we did enjoy it regardless of issues, and they fixed the shrimp issue -- it was just a cultural misunderstanding that apparently nobody had pointed out, and they have taken care of things. So upgraded to five stars for good food, and positive response to criticism!

First things first: if it's your first time coming to this restaurant, you should know that there's no one standing at the door to greet you. You'll probably stand there for a minute or two looking confused, wondering if you're supposed to seat yourself, or wait for someone to seat you. Finally, you make eye contact with one of the waitresses, and she'll wave you over to an open table. It can get pretty busy, especially during peak lunch hours. I usually end up going at a weird time and beat the crowds. I dream about their clay pots. I usually come for the chicken or beef clay pot, and when it's cold outside, I come for the pho. Usually pair my meal with a Thai tea or an iced espresso with sweetened condensed milk. I have a thing for burnt, crispy foods, so the clay pots are perfect for me. The pot of rice with vegetables and your choice of meat comes to your table, still sizzling when your waitress opens your pot for you. The rice is savory and the rice at the bottom of the pot is crispy - I love it! I keep telling myself I'll try something different every time I come. Hasn't happened yet, besides opting for pho instead a couple times. If it does ever happen, I'll HAVE to order a clay pot to go. No lie. That's how strongly I feel about them. The rice seems less crispy when you order a clay pot to go, though, maybe because it doesn't spend enough time in the clay pot before it gets put into a to-go container. Service has always been okay. Never had a bad experience, and never had a super awesomely exceptional experience. You pay your tab at the register towards the kitchen.

Service very slow here. Which is stupid for a pho place The joint fills up at lunch time quickly. Hot tea comes in fancy pot, tasty tea! Earned a whole star here Bun looks really tasty but i didn't try it. Tables are set with fork knife and american spoon by default...That just sits poorly with me. The pho was OK but nothing special... so...nothing special = nothing special!

I have been back numerous time since my previous review, and the food has stayed consistently good. I still stick to the (house) Clay Pot and Lemongrass Chicken when I go back. It just feels so wrong to order anything else-- why mess with it when you had it all perfect, right? Well, maybe one of these days I'll finally feel adventurous, I'll try Hobo S.' charbroiled pork clay pot. Maybe.

Normally I would only ever give this three stars, but I try to take my wife into account on my reviews. If ever I make her angry, a quick trip to this restaurant gets me a long way toward reconciliation! The pho is good, but I'm not a huge fan of noodles or soup, so soup noodles are not my first choice. The clay pot rice is not as good as Saigon's, but only because there's not enough rice in the pot. Extra rice costs more, which still bothers me to the core of my rice-loving being. My normal order is a barbecue pork with "broken rice", which has a great marinade. Last night I ventured into a new type of food, their "vermicelli", which was topped with the same marinated pork and fresh veggies. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly if not fast.

They're so unprofessional! They commented on everyone's food after the customers finished eating. Whenever they cleaned up a table, the waiter/waitress would say, "stupid person, didn't even finish all the meat. If she didn't want meat, she should order tofu only." OMG, why don't you go tell the customer that so she will know how to order next time?! They also commented on someone's finished pho, saying "OMG. Tsk tsk. They ate everything like a pig." Granted, they were speaking in Vietnamese and they probably didn't know that I understand them, still that's very RUDE! One of the guys (who work there) asked a waitress how she thought of the soup from the pho the other day. He went on and said that was "pre-stocked" meaning it's a bullion. You can get those in asian supermarket where you just drop in a bowl of hot water and make it taste like pho without actually do the broth from scratch with beef bones, onions, spices and stuff. He even said if it's not too much different then why cook the broth for 3 hours. Is the soup will be made from a cube of flavor now?EW?!

I really miss this place now that we've left Huntsville. It truly is a little gem. All of the Pho and Claypots are absolutely excellent and service is quick. It gets very crowded at lunchtime, but they'll take your order while you wait.

2 words....FOOD POISONING. I've never had food poisoning before in my life. I ordered one of the house specials with BBQ pork, shrimp, glass noodles, vegetables and some spring rolls. I ate it, felt fine then woke up feeling off. I can't describe it but I didn't feel right. Later in the day, my stomach started going crazy and I had to lay down. Took a nap and still felt drained and off. Went to work (smart, right?) and left 2 hours into my shift. I love to self-diagnose (don't we all) and figured out that I had been food poisoned by the Vietnamese I ate last night. Well, I should have known when one of the cooks came out from the kitchen looking filthy that it was going to be hit or miss. Viet Huong missed horribly. I should probably add that I'm not adventurous enough to eat random chicken parts or beef tendons. So the likelihood of me going back to Viet Huong to try a more "native" dish is out of the question. I heard nothing but rave reviews about this place, tried it, and felt like I was dying for 24 hours. Never again. I decided that since I'm a big city girl, I'll keep certain cuisines for certain cities. Huntsville is for.... hmmm... mostly chain restaurants I guess. Except for maybe Papa Gyro's (review coming) and a couple other places. So, definitely not going back.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! Their spring rolls are my absolute fav!!! I really wish I could give them five stars but I'm deducting one because they need to get more organized. Plenty of times I went in and was seated but people who came in after me were taken care of first. Or...times when one of their servers forgets to bring food that we ordered. Other than those things I really love this place!

On my first visit to Huntsville, I didn't expect to find Vietnamese food, much less bun bo Hue. Very rare find on restaurant menus, and usually a huge disappointment when you do find it. I was pleasantly surprised! Still not as good as home made, but better than I was expecting. Even included the traditional accompaniments of pig's foot and cubes of pork blood.

Let's start by saying that it is quite unfair and unjust to compare a restaurant here in Huntsville with those with much larger vietnamese communities such as those in Houston and California, and not everyone can or wants to go to those places just to try Vietnamese food. But, some people on here try to do this. As for this restaurant, it is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. The price is very fair, the portions are good on some choices and lacking in others. Lunch time it is quite full so get there early or take a late lunch if you can for faster service. the food is not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. I enjoy the clay pots, and the pho is decent, and they have everything to flavor the soup. In terms of it being located in Huntsville, I would suggest it over any other Vietnamese restaurant in town.

Good traditional Vietnamase food with a nice presentation for the clay pot dishes. This gets busy in the evening hours and on the weekends. The PHO is ok and the bowls are smaller that usual. The place is small and needs some updating. The service is slow at times and can be really slow on busy days.

Nearly ten years old and still great. I always enjoy myself here and though I've yet to eat IN Vietnam, it compares favorably with places I've enjoyed in Birmingham, Atlanta, Florida, and New York. One of tonight's specials was Bò Kho, a Vietnamese take on beef stew, including the carrots. It came with egg noodles, but I was hoping against hope I'd get a baguette. Since it varies from place to place, you can't fault them, but boy I wanted one. There used to be a place near North Parkway that served it that way and how I miss it. Be warned that some of the meat is fatty...though that certainly enriched the broth. Actually found a bit of star anise in the bottom, which is really unheard of, but my chef brother and I joked they probably just do that periodically to remind everybody they're striving to be authentic. ha Gi cun...still great. Since it was a Tuesday, early eve, it didn't get real crowded...and that was just fine. The atmosphere was pleasant and the music never intruded. To be just about a decade old, they've certainly kept up their standards here. Although I have to say I prefer eating at Viet Huong during colder months, so I can scour the sinuses with the addition of chili-garlic sauce...to the bowl, not the sinuses.

I have eaten at several restaurants serving Pho. The beef brisket and beef balls were good. The noodles were a little tough. The broth tasted like it came out of a can, very weak flavor. I added fish sauce to improve the flavor. It was watered down and I had to add a lot to make a little change. The spring rolls had too much cilantro. It overpowered the other flavors. The "peanut sauce" did not have much flavor. I would eat here again because I love soups, but will not expect a taste treat. Service was Okay, but not real attentive.

This small Vietnamese restaurant is another local favorite. I have been several times and each visit is as pleasant as the one before. I have always ordered the Chicken Clay Pot and enjoyed the wonderful flavors. This dish is more than just food; it's an experience...every time! I want to branch out and try some other dishes, but love that dish so much that it's hard! The dining room is clean and small, but not crowded and the staff has always been friendly.

Love this place. I had a friend who lived in the area, and when she took me here, I actually HUGGED her afterwards. I had the chicken and mushroom clay pot, and loved it so much that the next time I visited her, I made her take me here on the way home from the airport. Basically, it's a good restaurant with good food for good prices. But their claypot chicken and mushroom dish? I STILL DREAM OF IT.

I ate lunch in Huntsville 3 times this week, two of those times were at Viet Huong. You know it's a good sign when you show up at 11:30 and almost every table is already full. The pho is fantastic, perfectly flavored and very fresh tasting. All the side fixings (lime, basil, bean sprouts, etc.) were fresh. I ordered the coconut juice and thai iced tea, both were delicious. The thai eggroll was just a normal deep fried spring roll, but the sauce wasn't super sweet like you find in most places. If I find myself in Huntsville again, will definitely make this my go to lunch spot.

We walked in at noon and it was packed. Every table was taken and since we had six people, we had to wait a bit to get a table to fit us. After we were seated, the lunch rush subsided and the place was about half full. My first introduction to Vietnamese food was to Bún tht nng (rice noodles with bbq pork and vegetables) - super flavorful and light. It's been my go-to dish since. I've eaten bún at Viet Huong quite a few times and over the years, the amount of noodles/vegetables has shrunken by almost half. I would have thought that the meat portion would be the first to succumb to economic inflation. Frankly, I would have traded half the meat for more noodles/vegetables. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken wings and the fresh spring rolls with pork meat. The wings are always delicious and the spring rolls were good but I prefer the ones with shrimp. Others at the table ordered the lemongrass chicken, broken rice with bbq pork, and fried egg noogles with mixed meat/veggie topping. Everyone enjoyed their food. Thai Tea was delicious as always. Vietnamese coffee was good too. The service was quick and efficient. No water cup was empty for long. The menu is very descriptive. For newbies, this place is great because you can order with item codes (e.g. A4, B2, C7) and not have to risk embarrassment by trying to pronounce the food names. I don't live in Huntsville anymore, so I'm not sure if Viet Huong has any competitors. Regardless, this is a great place to go get your Vietnamese food fix.

The food was excellent... Waitress put my order in right but there was some miscommunication and I ended up getting chicken instead of pork chop... Another waitress brought it out and tried to pawn off the chicken on me... Um... If I wanted chicken, I would have ordered chicken... She told me it would take a while to get my order... I waited another 15 minutes and this time got what I ordered... I didn't receive compensation on the mistake they made (no free spring rolls, discount)... NO TIP!!! ... in any case... I will be back again...

I asked for spicy beef noodles and waitress said "ah you want beef not on menu?" and "I said, yes, I guess I do". A minute later, another waitress, with better English came out, thinking the first waitress had made a mistake and said "Did you really order dish not on menu", again I said "yes", but now I was nervous ,and figured I was going to be eating some animals naughty parts, something authentic from a Anthony Bourdain show, which was OK with me, as I love street food. I think what came was Bún bò Hu , with a few bits of beef shank, I am pretty sure I was eating penis or testicle..........I definitely know I was eating congealed pig blood and a big pig/cow knee knuckle. Anyway, it was OK, not 100% tasty. The dish was lacking a little taste and a little spice, but I will definitely go back and try some of their other Vietnamese offerings. I completely trashed my white t-shirt, and it became a motorcycle rag. I guess I will loose a white Hanes top every time I have lunch here. Fantastic!!!

There's just something about a tatt'ed up Vietnamese guy yelling loudly in Vietnamese into a cellphone that makes this place feel authentic. Maybe I just associate him with dangerous and delicious pho places, frequented late nights back in California. Or maybe there's just something about bad boys? Regardless of the authentic "ambiance," the pho was the realness. The standard number 1 had plenty of miscellaneous cow parts - tripe, tendon, etc. The soup was MSG goodness. The XL was inexplicably $10 while the regular and large were $6-7, so get the large for th best value. The house special clay pot was pretty good even though I got it to-go without the actual clay pot. There was a good variety of seafood and meats but few veggies, served with yellow flavored rice. The Vietnamese drip coffee was strong and sweet, as it should be. Bittersweet like a relationship with that bad boy?

I came from Hawaii, where Pho is a famous dish that I would avidly eat once per week. This appears to be a traditional Vietnamese restaurant, but the soup could use a little more authentic touch. The service is extremely slow; it almost comes across as rude and as if they do not care about their customers. I have been there a few times, to make sure it was not just a bad day and every time I have gone, it has taken several minutes just to be greeted. My order has been forgotten; my sides have been forgotten. The price is not bad, but for a place that wasn't that busy, the service should have been much better. Do not expect to get in and get out in a timely fashion; expect to spend at least an hour and a half eating just for a bowl of soup. I will go back because the soup is decent, but it could definitely use some work. I will continue searching for a better place.

A great alternative to the ubiquitous box Chinese restaurants in Huntsville. Delicious Vietnamese cuisine and very reasonable prices. Although I've never tried the pho (not my thing), the clay pots - especially the shrimp clay pot - are fantastic. Add some roll appetizers and an iced expresso over condensed milk, and you have all the makings of a great evening. Best of all, the prices are very, very good.

Since we are fans of Asian cooking, this is a favorite restaurant of ours - especially my daughter, who enjoys the vegetarian offerings. My son and I are big on Goi Cuon (rice-paper rolls with vermicelli, cilantro, and shrimp), while my wife is fond of the Pho soup. The hot clay pots have been a staple at lunches out, but when I'm not in a hurry, I often have the pork and shrimp on vermicelli. Just about the only thing I'm not fond of is their habit of using crab substitute in cooked dishes. When it gets hot, it just tastes like fish, and not a very good fish at that. It may not be authentic, but it is good.

Viet Huong is my go to place for my pho fix! Lucky for me, it's also just up the street from where I work so I can get there fast before the massive lunch crowds start piling in. At their heaviest times, you could be standing in line waiting for a table a good while because the food does take time to prepare properly. When customers leave they are really quick to clean and seat the next persons. Especially when they're super busy. I've never had much issue with this as I've gotten pretty good at timing it. Of course, I love the chicken clay pot and the pho. They're always nice to let me add or change a thing or two if necessary. Plus the food is always piping HOT! Especially the clay pots, nothing better than getting that crunchy rice on the bottom of your pot! I've tried several other dishes on the menu but I always stick close to my two favorites. Where else can you get pho that good in Huntsville? Even if I have to go back to work I get the large bowl of pho to make sure I get my fill (in all honesty the small bowl is filling too). The juice is very flavorful and makes you want to keep drinking it. I took my dad here and he thoroughly enjoyed it, saying it was authentic and reminded him of serving in Vietnam and Thailand. Even cleaned his plate of what he ordered (trust me, this is a HUGE compliment from my dad). If you've never had Southeast Asian food, then I'd recommend Viet Huong, there's plenty of choices that won't turn off people who are unfamiliar with Vietnamese/SE Asian food, but try and branch out and try something new.

So the moral of the story is, get the pho or the clay pot. The fresh spring roll or egg roll for an appetizer, and be happy forever. Really though, there needs to be a large clay pot because I don't want to order two but I see no other way. They are that good. Get the seafood one, the veg, the tofu, or the super secret custom charbroiled pork, and you will not be sad that you did.

I'm being generous. Both my hubby and I would give it 2 stars. Being from San Francisco, we are used to a certain level of Vietnamese food and this is definitely on the lower end of the scale. The quality wasn't there and they seem to try to make up for it with quantity. However, hubby's family seems to love their clay pots and pho so I've up the rating to 3 stars. I had the tofu and veggie clay pot and it just wasn't anything special. There wasn't much of a flavor to the dish and it was pretty greasy considering it was meat free. Hubby got the seafood dry clear noodles with the broth on the side and it was just ok as well. What annoyed me even more was that we asked for certain modifications and even though the server enthusiastically nodded her head, none of them were fulfilled! I asked for a hot coffee but got it with a glass of ice, hubby asked for no peanuts but had a ton of it sprinkled atop his dish (thank goodness he's not allergic!), we ordered 3 thai ice teas but only got 2 and I had to remind them about my coffee. All in all, I would never go back if it was up to me.

I have a hard time tearing myself away from the Lemongrass Chicken. I don't like peppers and they're great about taking those out of the dish and giving me broccoli instead. For me, that makes it a perfect meal. You've gotta get the thai tea with it, just in case the spice get to you. I've also had the clay pots and the pho. It's all wonderful. The servers are amazing. I go fairly often, but not regularly and I'm impressed that they often can list back my regular order without me telling them what I want. That's way beyond what I'd expect!

I've got to say, this place is not too bad. Again, like a previous reviewer stated, if you stick to pho, clay pot, and spring or egg rolls, you can't lose. I have to admit, I rarely adventure outside this 'comfort zone' if you will. I did try the vermicelli with pork, and it was just ok. I lived in NOLA for a year where the Vietnamese food is abundant, varied, and fantastic, so when I first tried this place's pho, I was a bit let down, but I have to say, it has grown on me. I just had to get used to the particular spice combo used in the broth. Long story short, if you like Vietnamese food and you live in Huntsville, you really don't have a choice, but thats ok, the food is pretty darn good.

Recently went here for lunch. I was seated promptly and appear to have beaten the lunch crowd that starts around 1130. Ordered the combo clay pot. Food took a while but that is because there were a lot of people. The waiter even warned me ahead of time that my food might take a while. I am no expert on Vietnamese cuisine but the food was really good. Service was a good as well. Will definitely come again for lunch.

I eat here almost every time I'm in Huntsville. I usually go with the lemongrass chicken or beef, or the special clay pot. It always tastes amazing, and the service is usually quite good. I've had the pho before too, which was good (only time I've had it though).

This is one of the best vietnamese restaraunts i've been to. It puts most California places to shame. A big suprise finding something this great in Alabama! The Pho has so much flavor, the vermicelli is a huge portion, and the clay pots are incredible. Super quick service...I'm talking order and it's out in under 5 minutes

I'll say right up front that I'm not an expert in Vietnamese food. But that having been said, I REALLY like the food here. I typically get one of the clay pot dishes and we typically also order spring rolls. The spring rolls have fresh basil and are quite tasty. When they're very busy the wait for food can be a decent bit but not long enough to cause me not to go. If my wife would agree I think I'd eat here every time we eat out!

Huntsville, AL is at it again with having one place no matter how much I travel (Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, Chicago, San Francisco) am amazed at the quality of vietnamese cuisine we have available right here... Get a G5 and a small P3 no onions... and I'm happy... the best Pho you can get for like 6 bucks... place is always busy during lunch, but service is fast and to the point... they want to get you the food you want! Overall I highly recommend trying this place if you like Vietnamese or even Malay food...

I had one of the beef phos and in terms of flavor it was alright. But boy do they skimp on the beef. It was mostly broth and noodles and the veggies I put in it. That's the reason for the 3 stars, not because of flavor but because I've never seen that little beef in a beef pho. The iced coffee hit the spot though!

I don't know and don't care how authentic the food is. There I said it, whew, I feel better. What I do care about: the food is delicious, the place is clean and despite a minor communication gap (their English is so-so), the servers are helpful and courteous. I have dined here twice and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend this place! Those who have (for some reason) read my reviews know I don't care about how kid friendly a place is, but I would have concerns about how much kids would enjoy the spiciness of the food here, it is not "hot" spicy, but it is certainly full flavored. Take your kids to McDonalds, they don't know any better any way...

I grew up in the Northwest where Pho joints are about as common as Starbucks. Viet Huong is really good, and I've had a lot of Pho in my lifetime. They carry very traditional Pho bowls (Tripe anyone!), and some more basic varieties like chicken and beef. Portions are very large for the price. My wife and some colleges from work also enjoy there clay pots. This place does fill up fast during lunch. Service can be a little bit slow, but I attribute that to the fact that the place is stuffed to the gills whenever I've gone. Not much of an ambiance, but I don't expect that from a Pho joint, especially considering some of the best Pho I've ever eaten was in shabby mom and pop shops in Seattle. But let's face it, this is Huntsville, and it's about the only place you can go to get authentic Pho anywhere in town. Give it a try you wont be disapointed.

This is a place where... ...I had the best Vietnamese food that I've eaten in Alabama. In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that it's the only Vietnamese food that I've eaten in Alabama. But having eaten more than my fair share of Vietnamese munchables in other states, Viet Huong certainly holds its own with very tasty food, which isn't completely surprising. Apparently a lot of Vietnamese folks came looking for freedom and happiness in the American south after the Vietnam War, (go read "A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain"). I don't know the story behind this restaurant, but my point is: if you love freedom, eat here; if you DON'T try this joint, the communists win - your call. ...the people are absolutely lovely. if you have questions about the food, ask and they will help you. If you think something is too weird, ask them - I didn't try, but if you ask them to leave something out of a dish (onions, mushrooms, sauce, etc), I am sure they will help you out. ...if you like rice and you like BBQ, get the clay pot anything - it's like a smoky fried rice with crispy edges (think the edges of oven-baked mac & cheese) and lots of meat. ...if you like chicken noodle soup, get the pho (fuh). It will be the best chicken noodle soup you have ever had. The beef will be even better. Best thing about pho is, the vegetables come on the side and you add them (or not) to taste. So if you are the type of person who really hates pieces of veggies floating in an otherwise perfectly meaty bowl of soup - PHO is FO' you (hahaha... sorry). This is not a place where... ...anything is very expensive, so you can try something new and even if you hate it, you won't have much to regret. Plus there is a Taco Bell in the same shopping center, so if your palate rejects the delicious happiness here, you can hop next door and get a very cheap amalgam of chemicals and sadness that sort of resembles something that might have once been food. If that's how it shakes out, my condolences.

Favorite place ever! Love it! I love the house clay pot (it has chicken, beef and huge shrimp). I love how the rice gets crispy in the clay pot. Prices are good, portions are very generous and service is okay. I could eat here several times a week!

I tried once during a trip based on yelp recommendation. Good food, cheap prices. Our party tried the soup, stir-fry, and clay pot with all positive results. Recommend!

Not authentic lemongrass tofu that is for sure. Got seafood pho to go and it looked promising until I tried it, not anywhere as near as good as most places I have been to that are authentic. But this is Alabama, where people come to die, so what do you expect? Just remember this is not authentic and not good either.

Great place to eat lunch. It gets really crowded between 11:30AM and noon, so either plan for an early or late lunch to get in and out in under an hour. I love the noodle dishes; the B4 has pork AND an egg roll right the fuck on the top of the noodles. It doesn't get much better than that. They also have good soups and baked clay pot dishes for those who want more juice/meat in and around their mouths. The spring rolls (e.g. fresh basil rolls, or the rolls wrapped in a soft rice paper sheet) are good, but I've had more refreshing ones at other restaurants. The ones here are slightly on the sticky side. The sauce is good, though, and it's good to save it for other parts of the meal that need saucin'. If it's cold outside, try to score a table away from the door, because it can be drafty. Once they give you the check, don't just sit there! Go pay the cashier in the rear of the restaurant.

Great quality, price, and selection! I was there with my friends for lunch last Wednesday and it was so packed that we ordered before we sat down and they had our meals to us within minutes of taking our table. Delicious!!

I am really picky with my Asian food. If the quality is bad, the portion better be big. Well, I just had lunch here, and I am not impressed. The large bowl pho contains a super small portion of noodle, and the noodle was all bits and pieces. The soup was okay, 99% sure it's the bag of MSG they dumped in the soup. Would I go back again? Does anyone like to waste their money? No, so that's it for me.

This place isn't authentic! I'm from Houston, TX , i been having Vietnamese foods my whole life, this restaurant is full with Americans, who wasn't raise eating Vietnamese foods. If you guys want good Vietnamese 100% authentic go to California or Texas (Vietnamese community) ! And when you go back to Viet Huong, and you'll know that i was right!

This place was awesome. The service was quick, the waitress was attentive and helpful. I asked what was good for someone that was new to vietnamese cuisine, and she told me to try to the chicken clay pot (also reviewed) and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I got there a little before 1130, and the place was already filling up. by the time i left, there was a line out the door. The cost, with a drink, was ten bucks. I would gladly go back to this restaurant!
