Best place in town to celebrate a special occasion! The staff is very friendly and they make sure that you understand how everything works. We had the filet, shrimp and Chicken with two different fondue pots. One was the regular stuff they offer the other was burgundy based. Both were delicious! The cheese fondues were great too! We had the Alpine and the Cheddar. The chocolate fondue is worth the entire experience! We had Milk Chocolate in one and cookies and Cream Marshmallow Dream.,, it was awesome!

This was way overpriced. I felt sick with regret after leaving for paying over $100 for terrible fishy tasting lobster and sour tasting boiled beef. My wife hated her food as well. I could have gone to Outback Steakhouse and had just as good of a time and paid half the price. I would never suggest anyone ever going there. Don't waste you're time. Or your money. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!

I throughly enjoyed the staff at this restaurant. I have learned from my experience here that fondue is not for me, but I will fondly remember how attentive the staff was to me as well as the atmosphere the restaurant created and how they both heavily contributed to the quality of my meal. I would recommend everyone try this place at least one. Even if just for dessert.

Took my wife for her birthday recently and we had a great time. Food was excellent, dining room was comfortable, and our server was helpful and entertaining. Not a place that we would go on a regular basis, but it was perfect for the occasion.

I have now been to The Melting Pot a few times. The food and service have never been anything but fantastic. It is a class act. Pricey, but worth it. I would recommend it to anyone at any time. Valentine's Day this year was especially nice. Great place for a memorable dinner.

This is very consistent with the Brand. We loved this in Atlanta but have only been here once in Huntsville. I still wish the cost would be cheaper for the fact that you personally cook everything and meat isn't seasoned. The flavor only comes from the sauces and bouillon. I wish they would give you seasoning that you can apply before/after cooking the meat.

This place is the greatest example of overpriced food gimmicky. I agree the atmosphere is nice but I'm not paying just for atmosphere. Service tends to be slow and sloppy. I can't even start to describe the poor taste of food so I want. I will say the dessert portion of the meal was palatable. Please stay home invite friends over do fondue at your own house .

Fantastic. The management is top notch and the food is very high quality. But it is extremely expensive. This is NOT a fast-food sort of atmosphere so expect a good two hours minimum for dining. I think this is actually a GOOD thing as it enables you to relax and not rush dinner. It's very enjoyable and they take care of everything. For special occasions, sometimes you will receive an extra added surprise touch - from spot discounts, to future dining rewards, to flowers for your date, they know how to go the extra mile. It should go without saying that you shouldn't expect it - but it's nice when it happens!

Great food and staff! Went for Mother's Day and they gave each Momma a rose, extra special detail you don't always get. Very pleased and will definitely be back.

Come for the experience as much as the food; the atmosphere is wonderful and the food is fun as well as delicious. Join their Club Fondue for great special offers. Our server Chris was helpful and friendly.

Ashamed to admit this was my first melting lot experience. It was great! Brooke was our server and did an excellent job.

Update 9/30/14. Friend thought this may be the ticket as far as nice looking bars to take clients for work talk. I countered with "not if you plan to actually get drinks" (snark) but I agree if that's what you're looking for them bar and patio here would fill the void left by the departure of the "members only" dining club, the heritage club which was previously located nearby the melting pot. Now go and develop your business. You're welcome.

After taking their survey, the manager called within 24 hours to discuss my comments. Apparently for Valentine's Day and some other special holiday deals there is a 20% gratuity that is supposed to be advertised on the deal. Somehow both my wife and I missed this, but he made things right in a way that shows what good customer service should be. Having a survey taken not just seriously but personally means the manager actually cares about his product, which makes me respect the place more.

This place is great!! My girlfriend and I have celebrated 3 of our 4 anniversaries here and loved each one. The atmosphere and experience is what you pay for. I love the unique and classy twist on the typical fondue. The service is what to be expected from a 'fine' dining restaurant where the servers are very kind, sociable, and knowledgeable of the menu. Each time we sat in an area that they call Cupid's Corner. It basically an area of 2-top tables where each table is cutoff from each other giving you a quieter and more secluded dining experience. The price is the only con. But if you take into consideration that the meal and experience can just be for a special occasion then it's not bad at all. An example of the price would be our meal last night...Quattro Formaggio (cheese) plus premium dippers (2), California salad (2), Crème Brulee (dessert), Strawberry basil lemonade (2), Strawberry blonde Martini, Carrot cake Martini, and Michelob Ultra + TAX + TIP == $120. We did have a bit of alcohol; however, you could substitute that for the entrée we didn't get and the price would be similar. All-in-all, I highly recommend The Melting Pot if you are celebrating an anniversary with your girlfriend/boyfriend or wife/husband!!

My husband works out of state and is usually gone months or weeks at a time so he is always doing something nice for me so I decided to treat him out for a romantic evening. OMG...I never been to the place it was both of our first time. I told them I wanted the balloons, chocolate and our photo taken and it was delivered and at our table upon arrival, the setting of the table was so beautiful. We had a private seating area in which you have to get upon request with your reservations, the people there was so freaking nice, they know the menu as if they memorized it ( which is still good)... I am a vegetarian so they do have that option as well you will not be left out. Oh and the Owner came to our table, Yep the Owner and said a few kind words which made us feel extra special. My husband had an AWE moment the hold time he just couldn't believe this place even existed. The food was really good especially the spinach artichoke..all the food was good. I loved the Chocolate/desserts ( The only thing I didn't like was the marshmallow ) The photo they took of us turned out beautiful and you do get a frame for it. I gave it 4 stars because I was in heels and I had to walk ( felt like a mile) by the time we got there my feet was hurting. After we left, I walk around to see if we parked in the wrong area, But I didn't see an easy parking spot unless I was to park at the Westin hotel and walk across. I think they should be in an area where I can easily access there restaurant. But the walk gave me insight on what stores was there and I didn't even know half of these stores existed here at the bridge street

I've eaten at the Melting Pot approximately 6 times. For those of you that haven't been here before, let me break it down based upon the three courses.. The first course, the Cheese fondue, is delicious but it can be a bit monotonous. You essentially get break cubes and vegetables to dip in the cheese fondue. I've had this a few times and enjoyed it every time. But after about 10-15 dips, I grow bored of it. All you really taste is the cheese and its strong wine flavor. The bread and vegetables get overwhelmed by the cheese. The Second course, the Meat fondue, is my least favorite. Effectively, they bring out a tray of raw meats and a pot of some sort of flavored broth that you then boil your food in. Imagine boiling a piece of steak in a chicken-based broth with spices and then eating it.. It is annoying to have to wait up to 3 minutes between bites and frankly I do not really like the flavors. The third course, the dessert fondue, is the best. All of the dessert fondues are chocolate based and you get such things as strawberries, bananas, mini cheesecake bites, marshmallows, rice krispy treat bits and the like to dip in chocolate. Never had a less than wonderful dessert fondue here. My personal preference is to eat at somewhere like Cantina Laredo or Connor's Steak House and then go to the Melting Pot for dessert. It's not that expensive and its so much better than some tiny piece of cake you might get at a normal restaurant. Eating a full 3-course meal here can cost you up to $100/couple, so its definitely NOT cheap.

This place makes for a fun romantic date even for a couple that's been together over ten years. Super expensive but here's the best advice I can give..... Either do cheese appetizer and dessert, or eat dinner somewhere else and go here for dessert. The actual food portion is like $30+ per person for $5 of raw meat and you boil it. If you have ever boiled chicken or steak---it's the same thing. So you pay a lot of money to cook bad food. But the cheese and dessert are fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Me and my wife love The Melting Pot! We go at least twice a month. Their meats are always fresh and the cheese and bread is amazing. Our favorite part is the chocolate. Always go with the Flaming Turtle, you can never go wrong!

The Melting Pot is a very high-end looking and priced restaurant. It very fancy and nice inside, extremely friendly service and great food! the waiters explain everything they are doing and suggest what sauce's you should use. They have excelent dessert there!

Wonderful experience all around. Great if your in no real hurry. Food was very well prep'd and sauces were very flavorful. Would recommend the Coq au Vin sauce for cooking as the oil tends to be a little heavy.

As far as a nice, intimate dining experience with a significant other, The Melting Pot cannot be beat. This location offers a great package for couples looking to get engaged, so I planned our special night here. No other restaurants I contacted in town offered anything like this. The proposal package includes a four-course meal called the "Big Night Out." a bottle of wine, a dozen red roses (described by our waitress as "the most expensive roses in Huntsville"), a framed photo (after the question), and a special presentation of the ring with dessert. For guys, maybe this isn't the best way to go. You have to sit through three courses of a four-course meal knowing what is coming. It can be a bit stressful in the beginning, but I calmed down. I already knew the answer to the question anyway. She loved it. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit strange to me. It feels as though you're entering an office building due to having to enter through an empty lobby and take an elevator to the second floor. Can't really knock the restaurant for this, though, other than not the best location selection. As other reviewers have mentioned, this place is a maze. If you're a couple coming out for a meal, you will likely be seated away from the main dining area, down a snaking hallway of tables. It's very quiet and dark back here, which is perfect for creating an intimate setting but it can be a little strange at first. The staff almost blew it. My now fiancee figured the question was coming, but she did not know that it was going to be at the restaurant. After we checked in, one of hostesses saw what I had reserved she let out a little "Ooooh!" Luckily this went unnoticed by my other half. One complaint is bringing out their house-brand seasoning in that tacky shaker bottle, though this is not location-specific. Everything else is classy, then they lay that bottle of Mrs. Dash at your table. Really? Am I not paying enough for this meal so you have to market your own seasoning brand to me? Come on guys. The food was good, as per usual Melting Pot standards. I'll save the details of the special plate included with the engagement package so as to preserve the surprise if someone manages to convince their significant other to propose marriage based on my review. I also won't disclose price. For dessert, we had the special PB&J chocolate fondue, which was incredible. Good on you, Melting Pot, for good food and for offering a unique way for guys to pop the question.

Some friends and I visited for dessert. As expected, it was delicious. The featured dessert fondue had blackberry, raspberry and strawberry puree in it, which added significantly to the fruit dippers and cheesecake. It balanced out the sweetness of the milk chocolate nicely. My friends got the flaming turtle, and those candied pecans were as awesome as I remember them. Service was excellent. I had mentioned in the reservation that we were there for dessert, and instead of dinner menus, the hostess presented dessert menus to us upon seating. It took a few minutes for our server, Ashley, to make her first appearance at our table. This happened last time too, so that may just be the pace of service here. I personally don't mind it since it gives me some time to check out the menu and enjoy company. After things got started, she was very attentive and unobtrusive. She was friendly and her words didn't seem rehearsed. The only awkward thing was that our booth (designed to seat 6) had the short side against the wall, so "inside" glasses had to be passed around to get refilled, but that's not her fault. The only negative thing I saw from a service-related standpoint is a nitpick... I was seated on her right, and when she reached across me to pour water, she did so with her right hand, which put her elbow in my face. This is, as I said, a nitpick, but it's the only thing I saw that could be improved upon. I don't think you get people forced into learning to pour with their off-hand until you hit fine dining, so I'm not even sure this critique belongs here. I'm really putting it here so you know how critical I am, and so when I say Ashley was excellent, you know she was indeed excellent. The only reason I can't give my experience five stars is that I smeared chocolate on the back of my dress shirt when I sat down. I have no idea how one gets chocolate on the back of the seat... maybe the last table had kids or something. Anyway, I don't know who's responsible for resetting the table, but he/she needs to be more thorough since melted chocolate is constantly getting served. I picked up some soda-water and OxiClean on my way home and made quick work of the stain. Overall, a really great night out with some friends. Thank you, Ashley, for providing great service and redeeming your restaurant.

My fiance and I went to The Melting Pot for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was great and very professional. We were seated in a private booth which made our dinner very romantic. Our server was amazing! (I wish I can remember his name...) We had a lot of fun and our server made our experience even better. By the time we were done, we realized that we had been there for three hours! We will definitely be coming back here.

We've been to the Melting Pot many times with another couple or two and it's a lot of fun and great food. Of all of the places we can go, this is our choice when we've got the time (2-3 hours). Don't expect to get in and out here. It's a place to go with someone who's company you enjoy and are able to take your time.

I am a big fan of Melting Pot and have been to a few different ones located in Atlanta. This store has a slightly less fancy feel to it, but that is mostly due to the location in my opinion. I'll start with my favorite, which is the dessert. I LOVE melt-y chocolate so chocolate fondue is pretty much the best thing you could offer me! They have a bunch of different options flavor wise, I really like the s'mores and bananas foster, and you even have the option to make up your own. I've tried a couple of the different cheese fondue options, but my favorite is the spinach and artichoke (try it on the green apples, it doesn't sound like it would be that good, but its awesome!). I've only ever had the caesar salad, but that's because it comes with these parmesan crusted sunflower seeds (or whatever they are) that are really good so I can never convince myself ot try a different salad and risk missing out on those things! To the entrees. Part of the fondue experience for the entrees is that you cook it yourself. Some people don't like that, but in the restaurant's defense, you're the one that chose to eat there. And if you don't like the entrees you have mostly yourself to blame (since you cooked it after all). I like the oil style of cooking because it comes with two batters so its like you're frying your food but they have broth versions too. I only recommend the Coq Au Vin if you're into a red wine-y taste to your food, cause it can get pretty strong. The servers are great (mostly because they have to be since most customers are new to the experience). They really focus on making sure you know what you're doing, so you cook your food right and don't burn the mess out of your mouth. They have a lot of drink options too, you can even get selected pairings of wine with each course. I recommend the Blackberry Sage Lemonade or the Yin & Yang cocktail. This is a great place for nice dinner or special occasion (as long as you have at least an hour or two), just don't plan on bringing a big group cause it can get complicated trying to reach over people.

Finally got a chance to eat here this past weekend for my friend's birthday weekend. Something about Bridge Street Restaurants and reservations I'm starting to notice...in any event, the reservation didn't happen and we had to wait 1 1/2 hours before we finally got a table. For drinks I had the Exotic Mojito since mojitos are one of my favorite drinks. Well it didn't taste like a mojito in any sense of the word. It was more like fruity lemonade. It's made with X-Rated Fusion & SKYY Infusions Citrus, which makes my mind scream for a shot of rum in there. I couldn't taste any alcohol...I couldn't taste any mint for that matter. The mint was not muddled with the sugar before mixing, just a sprig placed in the drink for looks. All around I kept wondering how was this a mojito then?...I probably wouldn't try this one again. My friend's drinks were quite good though, the Mango Margarita was tasty and so was the birthday girl's Raspberry Martini. The guys had something off the little special menu that was good too! Drinks ran $10+. We all went with a Big Night Out: 4-Course Dinner which gives you a cheese fondue starter, a salad, the meat course, and chocolate fondue dessert. Don't remember exact prices but it was about $40 and up for an individual and $79-$100 for a couple. There were three different "levels" of meat courses that determined what you were going to pay. I got the first one which included shrimp, peppercorn steak, sirloin, chicken and duck. My friends had the 2nd level which added lobster tails. I don't remember what the 3rd level added. For the cheese course we ordered the Fondue a la France and the Spinach and Artichoke fondue. For dippers you get bread, green apples, veggies, tortilla chips came with the Spinach & Artichoke fondue. The a la France is strong made with brie and white wine. The white wine killed any brie flavor though, it was a bit overwhelming even after cooking a while. It was good with the very sour green apples, however. The Spinach and artichoke was great with everything though. Salad course was good, I like the addition of sweet roasted pine nuts to the Ceasar, they were nice. My friend's California Salad looked great too. The meat course was great, we chose the Coq au Vin sauce which is red wine based with shallots, garlic & mushrooms. Looking over the menu, I think this is the best of the soups for the meats and it wasn't too strong in wine flavor. You get 7 sauces to dip your meat in teriyaki, sweet & sour, honey mustard, sour cream & chive, shrimp sauce, blue cheese sauce & butter (for lobster/seafood, a lemon also..). Just cook meat to your desired doneness in front of you, which is great because if you're like me and like your meat well done all the time, you check it, then throw it back in if it's not done and it'll still be tender. The duck was a little tough in my opinion but still good. Dessert was the highlight, we did one white chocolate creme brulee and a dark chocolate fondue. For dippers you got a plate of evil-ness, cubes of Rice Krispie treats, chocolate covered marshmallows, a slice of cheesecake, cubes of pound cake and brownie, bananas and strawberries...*drool* I love white chocolate so I was in heaven. Our waiter spread sugar crystals on top and sprayed with some kind of alcohol and set it alight! The crunch of the sugar crystals with the chocolate was drool-worthy. I'm not a big fan of dark chocolate, but that was delicious as well! We massacred the dessert. Service was great, the owner came up and was super friendly and made sure we were good. Our waiter was very nice and explained everything to us since we were first-timers. I give it to the waiters, they make them work here as everything is put together right in front of you, every single course. Go them, I left him a generous tip for that! The hostesses however need some etiquette training. They didn't smile at us when we arrived and seemed annoyed that we were sitting in the waiting area for our table. The girl at the desk acted as if she didn't want to say good night to us when we left as well. When the last person walked out the door she finally said 'Night...(thank gooness everyone else was nice!) Good place to go for a special night out and you're willing to shell out some cash. It's expensive even for one person, but you're mostly paying for the experience. This could easily be done at home with a fondue set, especially since you get to see everything made in front of you, you see how easy it really is. Don't let that shake you from trying it at least once!

I LOVE the Melting Pot. Sure I can do the same thing at home for less money, I have. But part of what makes the Melting Pot so great, especially if you go with a group, is the variety. If you round up 4-6 people you can try more tasty goodness that you can with just a couple people. I've been here a few times and the food has been consistently wonderful, and every time the owner or the manager has stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we were having a great experience.

Neat experience (similar to Asian's "lau" or hot pot). We were here for a special occasion/holiday and had their prixe fix menu: cheese pot, seafood fondue and then chocolate dip. It was extremely expensive and the food portion was extremely little for 2 people. The cheese dip was slightly off some how; it had a bitter after taste. I think it was the nutmeg. The seafood main course was itsy bitsy. I don't think we even had a whole lobster; mind you this is for 2 people. The dessert course was good but you can't really go wrong with fruit dipped chocolate... Overall, it's a good place to try it once but probably won't go back unless they have a great deal or big event...

We have eaten here twice now. The first time, we had the "Big Night Out". It was good, but there was too much food for two. We took the leftovers home, but it's not really something that is good later. On our second visit, we only had the cheese fondue & salad, but left completely satisfied! "Big Night Out" includes four courses. The first is a cheese fondue. Second is a salad. Third is you entree. Dessert is the fourth. You can substitute from the regular menu for any course, if you don't like the special selection. The entree course was not that spectacular. It was overpriced considering that you actually cook it. I do think it is worth the experience at least once. I also HIGHLY recommend the non-alcoholic blackberry sage lemonade. It is one of their mixed drinks, but they will make it non-alcoholic, if you, like me, don't drink.

  • H P.

I've been to a lot of Melting Pots around the country. I always liked the cheese and dessert but never the entree. I guess they changed their menu in 2009 because the food is a lot better. Prepare to be there 3 hours for all three courses and you'll spend over $100 if you get drinks. People either love this place or hate it. The Melting Pot at Bridge Street had good service but it wasn't laid out very well at all. There is really only room for one person to walk down the isles and it's a maze to and from your table. The bathroom is small so there might be a wait. If you're clausterphobic, avoid this place.

Very pricey for the unique experience. The atmosphere and service are good, but the food was somewhat disappointing for me. The cheese fondue had a lack of variety of items for dipping and the oil-based fondue for the meats lacked flavor. Even my coffee at the end of the night was not prepared correctly.

Highly recommend for a great night out. They have an awesome patio. I recommend skipping the meats and just going for the cheese, Caesar salad and dessert.

Pricey but worth it if you are looking for a good experience eating fondue. In addition to oil-based fondue, they offer some delicious broth-based fondues for the health conscious. You may want to bring a timer to help you cook you food (generally 90-120 seconds per piece). The Yin-Yang martini is sinfully good! :-)
