As 3 stars accurately denotes, A-OK. If you are looking for fried food, and lots of it, you should be happy here. I tried the fried pickles and cajun fries which were both fantastic. I had my fill of fried with the appetizer, though, so opted for blackened mahi and broiled potatoes for my dinner. It was good enough...I think I would have been happier (taking other reviewer's suggestions) by ordering a po boy or etouffee. Also, if you have ever had any of the selections from New Orleans or S LA, you will be disappointed...but hey, I can't just drive to Nola all the time.

Great food and didn't wait long for it even thought they were busy! The building may look on the sketchy side but it's deffinatly worth the try. The Gator was amazing but the Frog legs were a little tough. Shrimp and catfish was great too.

As good as it gets when it comes to an excellent cajun experience!

Came in last Saturday while in Huntsville visiting a buddy of mine. It seemed like a pretty popular lunch spot. It was 4 of us and we all got various poboys along with a triple appetizer sampler. Nobody left disappointed. I went with the pot roast/gravy poboy with a side of red beans & rice. One of the highlights believe it or not was the french bread was fresh buttered and toasted and not dry like some other french bread I've had. The service was great and very polite.

I am not just a fan; I am the dutchess of Po Boy Factory! I only had 4 meals in Huntsville during my trip and I just had to go back to Po Boy Factory again during my stay! On my first visit, my friend and I both got the scruffy special. He got shrimp po boy with a cup of gumbo and I got blackend grouper with a cup of etouffe and sub my fries to cajun fries. We also got the cajun trio (mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, chicken tenders, and fries). I guess I am just not a big fan of po boy in general. Even when I was at NOLA last year, I didn't find them to be especially good. With that said, my friend and I both enjoyed our po boy. Even though the combo po boy is only 5", it was the biggest 5" sandwich I've ever had! My friend's po boy had plenty of shrimp in it. Every bite there would be shrimp! The piece of grouper that I got was just as big as the sandwich too. Nom! The cajun trio was delicious as well, even though we ended up with tons of fries left over. However, the reason that we came back the second time was their etouffe! It was DA BOMB. Full of spices and full of heat. It had so much flavor, my friend and I were both amazed by this small cup of stew in styrofoam bowl! Not to mention the shrimp and crawfish inside were cooked perfectly. It was o. so. good.! It was a bit salty to my taste, but with saltine cracker it was just perfect. The gumbo was good as well, but we both agree the etouffe was the clear winner. On our second visit, we got a bowl of etouffe because a cup was not enough. We also got half of an order of crawfish boil and fried frog legs. The etouffe was just as good as we remembered. Neither my friend nor I knew how to eat crawfish, so we asked our server and she sent over another server, who was apparently the queen of crawfish, to teach us. I can proudly say that after all the practice I've had from this meal, I am now a pro at eating crawfish! The crawfish boil can be a bit spicy, but that did not stop my friend from sucking the heads! All the work for that tiny piece of meat was worthwhile! My friend really enjoyed the fried frog leg, but I found it to be a little on the dry side from frying. It was nicely seasoned and the batter was thin. We also got key lime pie for dessert to share. We both thought it was just ok. If I were ever back in Huntsville, I would definitely come back!

This is one of our favorite, cozy places in Huntsville. We have tried most of the menu and can highly recommend just about everything they offer. On top of wonderful food, the service is superb.

Personal preference: plastic ware + hot food = melty styrofoam plate, no no. Every restaurant has their own take on gumbo. I definitely don't like this one. Oyster po boy was okay. It was edible but nothing special Canjun. They place is very decked out! It's cheesy yet cute. It's very busy around lunch time. The service was nice.

Amazing little place in Huntsville. You can't get family oriented feeling like you do here. Let me just warn you, if you are one of those who needs nice table, sliver wear, table cloth, cloth napkins, and wait staff looking all spiffy this is not the place to go. But if you are looking for a great meal with very friendly staff this is the place for you. I got the sweet tea, fried oysters and shrimp poboy. Just perfect. They also have cake that looked amazing, i will try that next time.

Skip it. The food is tasty but not memorable. Would not travel across town for it. I had a bowl of the Jambalaya. The bowl (Styrofoam) was small even for the inexpensive price. The dish had a couple of slices of Andouille and the rest was shredded chicken with a lot of rice in a thick broth. Bowl comes with a couple of slices of warm French bread in a paper boat. Also ordered a side of coleslaw that was dominated by a heavy mayo based dressing. Overall it lack spice and a uniquely Cajun flavor. Maybe I should have had the étouffée like Justin. Décor tried for authentic Cajun shack but delivered a cheep divey ambiance instead. Not suitable for a date night.

I read a lot of reviews of this place before I came and I have to say it definitely lived up to the hype. We came at lunch time on Friday and it was definitely busy! We stood for sometime before the server told us to seat ourselves. The sweet tea was really good and I'm from the south so I'm pretty picky! I ordered a half shrimp half crawfish po boy and both halves were fantastic. The seafood was perfectly cooked. It wasn't fried to death, chewy, or greasy which was a pleasant change from a lot of po boys I've had in the past. I ordered Cajun fries instead of regular and they were tasty too. They were a little greasy but the fries are thin disks so I imagine it's hard for them not to be a bit greasy. The decor was fun and the open kitchen was neat. I will definitely be back!!

Full yum! Despite the LSU-as-decor theme, I still managed to have a fabulous and authentic Louisiana cajun meal. Everyone in my group had a bit of everything, so I got to taste half the menu. The po boys were great, fried pickles were crispy and tangy, étouffée and jambalaya were on point. And the gumbo! Oh the gumbo. What a treat. I felt I only gained 30 pounds when I left, despite eating (and drinking) considerably more than that.

I had read great things about Po'Boys, so I was looking forward to the food/experience/etc. Food (good) but it was overshadowed by a few things. 1)EVERYTHING is served in styrofoam and everything was fried. Maybe this keeps the cost down, but the carbon footprint left by this business will be around long after Po'Boy has been forgotten. 2) The bathrooms. Where the wall met the floor showed what appeared to be YEARS of grease and grime. My friends ordered the deluxe seafood platter. It arrived quickly but cooled just as quickly. Cold AND fried do not make a good combination. I ordered the Po'Boy shrimp sandwich. Bread was fresh but the shrimp was fried. Very, very heavy. The locals would probably disagree, but I'm sure there are better places in Huntsville.

I was born and raised in south Louisiana - Cajun Country. So, finding truly authentic Cajun food outside of south Louisiana is always difficult. We are lucky in Huntsville to have the Po Boy Factory because the food is not only authentic, but very, very good! You have to go on Mardi Gras! They sure know how to throw a party, but whenever you go, go early, because everyone in Huntsville knows how good the food is here! Laissez les bons temps roulez!

Stopped at the Po Boy Factory while traveling on business to Huntsville and am I sure glad I did! The building is in a more questionable area of town and is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel area of Huntsville where most travelers stay. Good thing is, if you happen to get arrested and are in need of a bail-bondsman, there are plenty located right around the corner from the Po Boy Factory! (Including one called Bonds, James Bonds, I kid you not.) Location aside, the building is very well maintained and did not make me question eating there at all. I went on a Tuesday night and was very surprised how crowded it was. Both the parking surrounding the restaurant and across the street were quite full. As I walked in, I was immersed by everything New Orleans from the walls to the decor. The wait staff is straight out of Naw'leans and told me to sit where ever there was an open table. Luckily, I was solo so I got a table in the corner without hesitation. A line did form at the door shortly after my arrival. I was unsure of what to order as someone who is unfamiliar with this type of food, so I did what I usually do and ask the server "If you had to recommend one appetizer and one dish that screamed "Po Boy Factory", what would it be?" (I've found this to be a great way of discovering the hidden gems on the menu instead of the featured items that are usually there to appeal to the masses and have the highest profit.) He was very helpful and recommended either the etouffee or the jambalaya to start with a half and half Po Boy of my choosing since they're all good. I took his advice and went with the shrimp and crawdad etouffee and the 1/2 catfish 1/2 shrimp Po Boy. The etouffee was fantastic. It had a nice strong spice without being overpowering and was loaded with chunks of seafood. The crawdads were so tender they just melted in my mouth and the shrimp were a good size. The Po Boy came just as I was finishing my etouffee. It to was something that I had never experienced but it was a home run in my book. The menu says that they're made with French bread imported from New Orleans and I don't think they're lying. The bread was flaky and buttery, not stale in the least. The catfish was fried very crispy but was not greasy as fried fish often is. The shrimp was also good, but if I had it to do over again I would have ordered a full catfish sandwich, it was just that good. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you at least try the Hot Damn sauce. It is a mayo based hot sauce that just explodes with flavor. I used it on both my Po Boy and the fries. Its hot but not painful and really adds a great taste to the food. I wanted to try the homemade bread pudding but didn't get to as I felt like they were giving me the, "Your one person sitting at a table for two. We're glad you came but there's a line at the door so please leave", look. Wasn't offended at all by this and they never directly said anything, I just knew it was time to leave and let some others experience the deliciousness. This is a five star experience for sure and will be a definite stop on any return trip to Huntsville.

Great food great price great service. Thought I was on the gulf coast. Fried seafood and po boy were as good as it gets anywhere ! A local secret, we went on the strength of other reviews and were not disappointed

After a recent trip to New Orleans (first time) for business, I found myself craving some creole for weeks after my return. Po Boy Factory came as a recommendation from a co-worker, and it did not disappoint. It was reasonably priced (got a 5" shrimp po boy, cup of jambalaya, soda and fries for under $13) and the food was great. Not quite NEW ORLEANS great, but perhaps my memories just paint a fonder picture of the Big Easy's cuisine. The bread was awesome on the po' boy, and I upgraded to the cajun fries, which was a great investment of my $0.99, though I thought they were fried pickles at first (cut totally different than the normal crinkle cut fries on the menu). The real winner to me personally was the jambalaya. I need to find out if they sell that by the 5-gallon bucket, because I have money burning a hole in my pocket and zero plans this weekend. (yeah, I liked it that much). Oh, the decor is terrible, but the service is fast, friendly, and spot-on. Just get there early for timely seating!

Crayfish po boy was very good Etouffe was not so good. My wife had the shrimp basket and they were good. The bread pudding was pretty good.

I was in Huntsville for the 1st time, in town for business. I wanted to try something off the beaten path and really found it with this place. I had a crawfish Po boy, and it was great! From the fresh crawfish, to the French bread they used. They also gave me some type of sauce to put on the sandwich that was spicy and flavorful. I definitely will stop into this place again if I am ever in town.

I've been eating here for quite a long time, but my trip this past weekend was my first since moving back to Huntsville. My fiancee and I ordered a fried shrimp basket for an appetizer and the "Big Man" platter to share. The shrimp/fries came out very quickly and as I remembered everything tasted great. Shortly after the platter game out with Crawfish, Crab Legs, Boiled Shrimp, Sausage, Potatoes, and Corn. Everything was great. The Crawfish were a good size and very flavorful/spicy when you sucked the head, which any self respecting Crawfish eater will do. I hadn't had Crab Legs here before but they lived up to my expectations from other food I have eaten here. The meat was cooked well and it was perfect with the drawn butter provided. The shrimp weren't anything special but they were still very good. All and all I can confirm that this place hasn't slipped since I've been away. It is a must have if visiting Huntsville. Great Cajun food in Northern Alabama.

We liked it. Service was very fast and friendly. The scruffy special is a deal. Online menu says that it's a bowl of gumbo/jumbalaya/etouffee and a 5 inch sandwich, but the sandwich was definitely a very filling 8 inches or so. I added some of the orange mayonnaise sauce on the table, which gave it some extra kick. Wife got ettoufee, I got gumbo. Both were tasty, but her's was a little richer and yummier. Friendly spot. If we lived nearby, we'd go back for that scruffy special.

I must admit, I didn't come here with high expectations. I soon found out that the food I had here would mirror meals that I have had in New Orleans. The table split the fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, and fried green beans basket for an appetizer. Holy fried food and holy YUM! The biggest problem I have with fried pickles and green tomatoes are that the breading usually falls off after the first bite. This was not the problem here. The breading stayed on and of course it was super greasy, but that's to be expected. I got the jerk chicken po boy for my meal. Like I said earlier, this po boy was on par to po boys I've had in New Orleans. Slap some of the 'hot damn sauce' on your sandwich to take it to another (very spicy) level. Be sure to pay the extra $1 for the cajun fries.

This place has "nawlins" style. You can totally tell it's a locals place. It was pretty packed when we went in for lunch. Since the place it called Po Boy Factory, I want for the crawfish poboy. I liked fried seafood so it was pretty tasty. My brother in law got the grilled grouper and thought that was good. My poor sister got the shrimp salad and was not very satisfied with her lunch. Her shrimp was rather sad and rubbery. We all really liked the Cajun fries! Pretty tasty. I have to say the decor is pretty cool, especially if you're not from the area because you see all the Southern and Eastern football teams represented! (Including collegiate teams)

We talked about going here for two years before we ever did, and now we're super sad we waited. This is a great little place near Five Points, and the food is absolutely amazing. Both times we've been we ordered the shrimp po boy and enjoyed it immensely. This last time we also ordered the fries served with roast beef in gravy on top and I'm convinced this is going to be my eternal order there. Neither of us could figure out why nobody else had had the good sense to put these two items together before, or if they did why they kept it such a secret. Granted, we can't eat it often for the simple fact that it's nowhere near balancing a diet, but it was a great starter and is perfect pig-out junk food. Service has been one hit and one miss. The first time the crowd wasn't so big, so we got fast and friendly service, but this last time there was more of a rush and it seemed the regulars got better service. This makes some sense, because you know a regular is going to put more money into the establishment, but it did feel me feeling a bit excluded. As I've stated elsewhere, if I'm there to give you money I would prefer people be quite excited about that fact. That one time won't deter us, though, we plan on going back many more times in the future!

Next best thing to an actual New Orleans Po-Boy. The bread was fresh and the meats inside were all cooked perfectly. We stopped in here on our way to Knoxville for a quick meal and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on our trip. This place had some of the best sauces I have ever tasted. From the perfect spiciness of the coctail sauce to the creaminess of the tartar sauce. It was all spot on but the Hot Damn Sauce was star of the show. It does pack a small punch but boy is it tasty! The only thing I did not put it on was my sweet tea, but I did eat it by itself while chasing it with the sweet tea. The whole staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. I would give anything to have this place in my hometown.

  • Peter S.

Tasty po boys, but one of the reasons I am rating this three stars is the fact that NOLA food is just so amazing. Comparing this place to NOLA is a bit unfair, and although the crawfish and mix of ingredients closely approximated what I had in New Orleans, I would rather just take the journey and eat at ground zero.

This is one of Huntsville's little "dive" gems. Always delicious and the staff is very friendly and make you feel right at home in the New Orleans styled restaraunt. The etouffee is the best I have had in Huntsville. Folks have raved about the Po'boys, but I found them just ok. Check the hours before heading out!

I love this place:great food at extremely reasonable prices, plus the friendliest hosts and waitstaff make this a fantastic place to go out to. Everything I've had here is delicious, especially the muffaletta, fried pickles and po' boys. Scruffy's Special includes a cup of jambalaya, etouffee, or red beans and rice, fries ($.99 extra for Cajun-style) and a po' boy, all for less than $10. The amenities aren't fancy - food comes in plastic boxes or Styrofoam - but the food is tasty. Go on Friday (but be sure to plan on a wait) when they give out $10 gift certificates and coupons for free deserts. The owners - working their butts off - are terrific, outgoing people. You just feel good going in there, and they clearly care about their customers (they know many by name) and treat everyone like the most important guest they've ever had. If you're looking for lively, warm and friendly atmosphere and great food, this is your place.

Another great meal. Steven took great care of us. We ordered baskets of crayfish, gator, fries pickles etc... and passed them around the table. The sweet tea was delicious. Love the atmosphere. It's a fun place to go with a group.

This place is very authentic. Owned by Louisiana natives and specializing in Po-boy's, craw fish, crab cakes, and gumbo - you can't ask for more in Huntsville. The hubby and I had a grouper po-boy, crab cakes, grilled shrimp, gumbo, and a salad. They had many, many other options as well though and I can't wait to try them next time. I love that people can place their business cards under plastic covering the table, which we did, and I hope they stay there, considering we are out-of-towners. The gumbo was so authentic that I couldn't get enough. The crab cake was HUGE and the shrimp were small, but seasoned and you get quite a few on one skewer. There was also a gentleman next to us that had ordered 3 huge platters of craw fish and was sucking them down at a rapid pace. A little disturbing to watch, but he seemed to be enjoying himself. The wait was short for a weekend night and the service was quick although the place was packed. The parking is limited via adjacent gravel lot. They also close pretty early compared to places in larger cities, but that seems to be the norm for this small town. I have recommended this place to coworkers, who went and said it was dee-lish and they are from other countries (Ghana) and from small towns in GA. If you haven't tried this place and you are from HSV, you are missing out!

As a native Louisianian, I can say that I was really hoping for more. I ordered a small order of crawfish étouffée and a fried shrimp po boy. The po boy was incredibly bland, and the étouffée more resembled a thick brown gravy. I tried a few things from my friends' plates and they were also flavorless. I was hoping for a taste of home and all I got was more whitewashed food that folks in alabama seem to be so fond of. Friendly waiters so I added another star.

Very nice people serving good value food. The shrimp po-boy and jambalaya were good. If this restaurant were in New Orleans, it would barely be noticed but it would be a well received restaurant in other any community like Huntsville, AL.

Now I admittedly arrived in Huntsville not expecting much in the way of food quality, and it was no surprise that the Indian place I had for lunch was in the bottom quartile of my dining experiences, but Po Boy Factory served one hell of a meal. I keep fried foods to a minimum, so the grilled grouper was my choice for the night. Even though it's not their specialty, it was delicious and came with three different sauces that were all tasty. The seafood gumbo on its own was solid, but when spiced up with their Hot Damn Sauce, it cleared my stuffed nose right on up. I got my meal to go but it seemed like a dining-in would have been fun since everyone appeared to have some reason to celebrate and scream and laugh. Yea, stay away from Huntsville's attempts at ethnic foreign food, and just come here instead.

Never a bad experience after at least a few dozen visits. Love this place. Always have to come when I'm in town. Blackened Grouper is my favorite menu item. They use really fresh fish and the seasoning is perfect. The Hot Damn Sauce adds a nice kick to your sammich or fries. The service can't be beat in Huntsville. Everyone here is insanely friendly and nice. The couple that runs the place are so genuinely nice that they routinely visit your table just to chat.

First off, I like the decor, remind me of Nola... This place was better than I thought, but was still just okay and better than I thought it was going to be, especially since I had basically lived in New Orleans for a couple of years... Red beans and rice could have been a little better flavored, but the po-boy nearly hit the spot and the fries were decent... This place isn't Nawlins, but is a decent substitute, especially for being in bama! Could have been a little more authentic on the taste and flavor though, but was close enough for me when I was hungry...

Yummy to my tummy! My friend found PF on Yelp. We were in AL for a wedding, so we decided to give it a try. Their menu has a little bit of everything! Even though it is know for their poboys, everyone in our party decided to get something different. My husband and I shared the deluxe seafood platter ($16.99) It is plenty for 2 people. It included fried shrimp, oysters, crab claws, stuffed crab, grouper, scallops, hush puppies, and coleslaw. You can't go wrong with fried. Everything was delicious! Other friends ordered the muffaletta sandwich ($9.99) and seafood platter ($12.99). It was similar to the deluxe except it didn't have the stuffed crab and scallops. We also tried the gumbo which was one of the best I've had. The best part of the night was that they gave us 3 dz free oysters on the half shell bc we were the last customers of the night and they were going to just throw them out. The oysters were fresh and delicious! My husband was in heaven bc he LOVES oysters!! They also passed around gator tail for us to try. The service was great and all the people that worked there were super friendly! Def a great place to try if you are in Huntsville!

I might be the dissenter here, but this place is just average to me. I lived in Louisiana for a while so that might be skewing my vision a bit. The bread is nice and crusty but the po boys themselves are rather dry and bland. My experience has been that you add a remoulade of some sort to a po-boy. Maybe sprinkle some seasoning on them as well. Thats not the case here. Also tainting my view is when I brought my boss here for lunch they either undercooked or overcooked everything we ordered. Couple that with the bland food and I looked like a no-taste fool. A couple of pointers for the owners: Splurge on a coke machine.. seriously. It may have been acceptable when you first opened to do the whole can and cup thing, but you've turned your profit by now - reinvest in your business. Quality control. I was here once before and it was a bit better. The pickles were not undercooked, and the po-boys were not over-fried. Everybody has an off-day but when its the whole table of 4 that notices the issue its beyond a consistency problem, its game-breaking. My boss and co-workers will probably never return. I'm usually willing to give a place another shot - though admittedly if this was my first run I probably wouldn't. So 2 stars for now. Step your game up Po-Boy Factory. Huntsville is sorely lacking even a semi-decent seafood place (Don't get me started on Wintzells and Landrys).

Just remembered going to this place on a business trip. Got take out for a shrimp po boy and jambalaya, it was very tasty. It is crowded and it can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it!

Wow.....good stuff. The appearance could be a little off setting if you arent expecting Nawlins style but any reservations you feel quickly disolve when you are greeted by the hospitable staff. The food was great and the sweet tea was refreshing. I had a blackened grouper PoBoy that was fresh and hit the spot. The gumbo was delicious was only only surpassed by the jambalya. I am typically not a dessert guy (more of a second helping guy), but the bread pudding was the perfect end to a great meal. For the fiscally concered folks, you will get a ton of great food for the price of fast food. The only con about this place would be how full you are when you leave.

I wish I could hit up Po Boy Factory more often than I do...maybe that's a good thing for the waistline though, the food is authentic and tasty. I love the super casual nature of the whole restaurant. It really has a fun Louisiana atmosphere with all the little knick knacks on the walls. Best advice ever? GET THERE EARLY! Lunch rush I know can get insane. We went for an office lunch one time in particular and we got there a little after 11 and the line was out the door. (Can't argue with the boss when he says, "We can wait, I don't care if we get back to work at 2. I want my Po' Boy!"). The owners and staff are always nice when I see them and even though they're so busy, they really make you feel welcome. I recommend this place if you're looking for something new and food with good flavor. OH, and go around Mardi Gras time! It's an awesome get together down there!

This place certainly is a local gem. The decor, price, service, and food were all what I expected. The gumbo sure was good and the service was exceptionally good. The staff makes you feel at home. I had a po boy half and half and the smell of the butter was pretty strong.

Full disclosure: I have high cholesterol. My girlfriend, bless her heart, nags me constantly when I'm ordering to substitute steamed vegetables for fries or to hold the mayo and other such unsatisfying choices. That said, I love every deep-fried molecule that comes on the styrofoam plates at Po-Boy. I love it so much that I often sneak out there with my buddy Toby when the GF is at work. What I typically get is the "Scruffy Special"; aptly named after the proprietor. It consists of a po-boy with the perfectly deep-fried Cajun animal of your choice on soft/flaky French bread with the typical po-boy garnishments. Also included is a drink, Unremarkable fries and the side of your choosing. About the sides: their étouffée is to die for. Étouffée is one of those dishes that's deceptively simple. The base ingredient, roux, consists of flour, salt and grease. You simmer it in a giant pot until the flour achieves an optimum toastiness. This process, depending on how much you're making, can take an hour, but the window of opprotunity for "doneness" is minutes. The folks at Po-Boy Factory get this right every time.

Go here every once in a while. Always busy at dinner time and packed. Sometimes have to wait. Food is Cajun based and good! Try it you'll like it...

This place is an institution in Huntsville. Kudos to them for surviving the oil spill in the Gulf this year. Pretty good po'boys and other fried treats from the New Orleans region. They have alot of seafood and protein selections and you can get most of them either fried or grilled. The fryer is king here though. Jambalaya and Gumbo are solid, but aren't anything that's going to rock your world. Service is really good, even when busy. This place does get busy, so make sure you give a name to whoever is running the dining room when it's packed. They have your typical beer selections with some Abita selections as well. Personally, I'd like to see a little better beer selection with Alabama having relaxed their laws recently. Worth checking out when in the Huntsville area.

First time here, slammed for lunch. Got my name on the list, got seated in a few minutes. The Poboy was amazing as was the étouffée. I would come back again for sure. Price was fair, not cheap. Great food

Good, not great. Kind of a dump, but a dump with character. Service was by far and away the best part of my experience there. The male jorts wearing waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was decent but not anything I'd go out of my way to get again. Overall 3 stars is about as good as its gonna get.

This place is AWESOME. It was super crowded when I went for lunch although the wait wasn't to long. I ordered the crawfish po boy and a cup of seafood gumbo and a sweet tea. All were wonderful. They brought me the gumbo right away, and it tasted so good, a little on the spicy side but perfect to me. The crawfish po boy was overflowing with deep fried crawfish. The sweet tea was great. The service here was awesome all very nice. I will definitely try to come back here again before I leave.

Very good! We had the crab dip with French bread as an appetizer. We both had crawfish boys which were wonderful. We also had red beans and rice and étouffée both were good. Was very busy. We arrived right at 5 on a Friday evening and it was already covered up. They seemed to get people seated as soon as they could though so wasn't a long wait.

Jambalaya! The sauce is the best. Love it. Oh and crab cakes!! Highly recommend.

I've been eating here for about a year. I keep coming back for a reason. The wait came be kinda long, and it's tight quarters, but if you know what's coming you could care less. Everyone is always friendly, and if they don't feel too talkative that day you still get great service; and you know they have at least four other tables to wait on. I always get either the fried combo basket(catfish, shrimp, oyster) or the stuffed crabs. And of course some fried pickles as an appetizer! Everything comes out fairly quickly. You have plenty to eat, so it's no rush. Trust me. The pickles are battered lightly so you can still taste all the pickle-y flavor, and they come with cajun fries that are nice and spicy. The stuffed crabs are fresh, with more crab than breading, and some peppers in there as well. The combo basket (shrimp, oysters, catfish) all taste like they were caught the same day, which is a miracle in itself. Everything is juicy and delicious, and never over or under breaded. DON'T FORGET THE HOT DAMN SAUCE. I love that stuff. It goes on everything I put in front of me. You just have to try it. Now.

I liked the service more than the food. The owners were really friendly to my group who were in town for a conference. I had the grouper po boy which was a good piece of fish but I didn't care for the bread it came on probably because it was buttered and the fish was fried but it had a good crusty texture to it. I had the bread pudding as well. That was really good. It was like having a cinnamon bun with whiskey sauce. In the maze of chain restaurants in Huntsville, it's a great place. If I'm ever in Huntsville again, I'm going back if not just for the bread pudding.

Closest I can get to NOLA food without going there! Love, love, love the poboys. The gator is good, the gumbo is great, the service is good, and the price is reasonable. Definitely on the list if you want good seafood while in Huntsville!

There are just not enough great words out there to describe how good this restaurant is! The food is always fantastic and the staff friendly. I have never had a meal which I wouldn't happily give four stars and most would get five stars. When in Huntsville, this is a MUST go! Try the crab cakes, they are grilled instead of deep fried!

***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*** This place is great! The key to any good po-boy is the bread... and this place has the real deal! Their shrimp and crawfish were perfect. The gumbo had that great dirty brown color and taste to match some of the best gumbo I've had, except that it seemed a little watery (like it just needed to be cooked down to get the more brothy consistency). The only reason I didn't give them a 5-star is the bread pudding sauce wasn't totally quite there (try Tim's Kitchen). I LOVED all the New Orleans and LSU decorations, made me feel like I was down in the Quarter. GEAUX TIGERS!!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Excellent taste of the bayou. Red beans and rice are the heat. Crawfish po boy is one of the best sandwiches in the Huntsville area.

Love it here. The food really reminds me of New Orleans. Really crowded at lunch, we came in the back door and it seemed really unorganized. Took about 10 mins to get a table.

I tried the Beef Sandwich Po Boy it was good. Liked the Red Beans and Rice portions could be bigger. But worth the time and drive. Will return to try other things on the menu.

Went here for a late lunch when I was in Huntsville in December. I had the crabcakes. Seriously, they were the best crabcakes I'd ever had anywhere (including Maryland). The fries were good and so was the sweet tea...but the crabcakes...man. I've dreamed about them. They were huge and I swear they were just made of crab (which you'd think would be a defining trait of crabcakes anywhere, but it's not). The sauce that came with it was also fantastic. I'm sure it was spicy mayo, but I didn't ask, as I don't like mayo and I wanted to pretend it wasn't :)

While visiting friends in Bama, we stumbled across this restaurant. Don't come here if you're on a diet! It's Southern Cajun food at its finest~ Meow~ I had the half and half with shrimp and crawfish. OMG. It was the closest to a New Orlean's po boy I've had outside of Louisiana. I got coleslaw on the side, which I added to my po boy to make it an almost religious experience. NOM NOM NOM.

  • Christina J.

I went here the other day and treated myself and my mother to 2 po boys and some bread pudding. The bread pudding was mehh - was missing a little something. The po boys on the other hand were amazing. I had a shrimp/crawfish po boy and my mom had the grouper (she ordered mahi mahi but they were out). Mine was poppin' and the hot damn sauce was really good. I love spicy and that sauce hit the spot. I had a bite of the grouper po boy and the fish was on point. Very moist and you can tell it was fresh. I think I'll spend the extra $.99 next time and get the cajun fries. Might even get some fried green beans and etouffee. I will definitely be going back.

Food was awe full! I had a club sandwich, which had no fish in it and yet tasted like fish. Three hours later i'm still tasting it. My boyfriend had the catfish basket. He could only eat half of it. The only thing good they served was sweet tea and hush puppies. Service was descent but not great. Never offered to refill our drinks.

This spot has real character, even if just a little N.O. style stuck in Huntsville. The grilled grouper po boy was super good; so was the shrimp. Cajun fries weren't really my fave, but the shrimp 'n crab dip stayed on my side of the table. Place isn't much to look at inside, but service is friendly and great.

This is as good Cajun food gets outside of the Big Easy! When you walk through the doors it's like walking into someone's home (other than the tables everywhere), very casual and genuine, comfortable. This particular time I got my food to go, the lady at the counter was super friendly (said she was from up North herself). The food was super fantastic! The gumbo was just as I remember it from New Orleans, perfect! I also ordered a fried crawfish Po Boy, amazing!! If I ever get back to Huntsville, I will be sure to get back here and you should too!

This place definitely lived up to all of the positive reviews. It was not too busy when I came in around 3pm on a Friday. I ordered the jerk chicken po boy. And, well it was amazing! Probably the best jerk chicken that I've ever had! It came with a small side of fries which I happily dipped into a homemade spicy sauce. Definitely check this place out if you're in town.

Love the atmosphere at Po Boy Factory! Always great service! Although it can be quite busy at times, they are always quick to get you seated. Try the fried oyster poboy! Best in town! :)

I was in Huntsville for business. I did my research before I left and Po Boy Factory was where I wanted to go. I made a stop there on my way to the airport. Well, I'm glad I did. It was lunch time so it was chaotic. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star was because if you're ordering take-out there's no where to stand. I was literally in the workers way. They were cordial but I felt ridiculous. Aside from that, I enjoyed my food to the utmost. I had a shrimp po boy with everything on it (tar tar sauce, lettuce and tomato). I carried it with me to the airport and I thought I was going to get jacked for my food. The Airtran representative said, "something smells good in that bag" and the TSA agent said the smell of my lunch is making it smell good on the security line. I got to my gate and it was well worth it. OMG, the shrimp were cooked to prefection and the taste was awesome. I don't know when I will be returning to Huntsville in the future, but they have a new fan.

Every time I go here it's a great experience. One of the few places when in season to find great crawfish in Huntsville. The place has much of a New Orleans feel to it. Most dinner times it gets crowded but have never waited more than 10 minutes for a seat, and service is usually prompt. I'd recommend the crawfish if their in season or any of the poboy sandwiches.

  • Dana F.

Still love the restaurant, but I have now learned the hard way to never, ever go eat there for lunch on Saturday. I actually thought it would be less busy, but there are just as many people and fewer wait staff.

What a pleasant surprise! The food here is quite good. My husband and I had the cravings for oysters and crawfish. Po boy was recommended to us so we gave it a shot. We ordered the seafood deluxe, jambalaya, and the fried gator. I've never had gator meat before. It was amazingly good. All the seafood tasted fresh and juicy. Batter was perfect which means it's crunchy on the outside and sealed the natural juices inside. The fried grouper was so perfect that it beats some fancy restaurants. Seasoning was minimal because they provided different types of sauces on the side. They created a sauce specifically for gator meat which was my husband's favorite. He ate it with everything. I am a purist when it comes to food. I like to taste the natural flavors. The Louisiana hot sauce on the side was a nice addition from time to time. Service was friendly and helpful. The place was packed so the food was coming out a bit slow but not bad at all. I love fried food but I dread the feeling that comes right when I'm done eating -- that greasy, sluggish, food coma feeling. Surprisingly, after the fried everything (including oysters, shrimps, scallops, grouper fish, crab claw, stuffed crab, and gator) I did not get any of that greasy feeling at all. But then, I didn't eat any bread, fries, or hush puppies. I went straight for the goodies and am happy I did. I will go back next time to try the crawfish. It was disappointing that they don't have the raw oysters (not until February). My fav today was the gator meat, grouper, and shrimps.

Great staff and great atmosphere. The seafood dip was amazing...a definite "order every time we go." We ordered the Spicy Shrimp Boil and the Fried Combo Basket. Both were very good. Their sauces are great as well. I totally recommend the Hot Damn sauce. We'll be back!

The best Po Boys in North AL. I periodically get my PO Boy fix from there until I can get back to the Coast. If your in the area, I highly recommend them.

Let me say that the food here is pretty good. The service was another story. I met a friend there for lunch one afternoon. Because I have a milk allergy, I asked our server what was safe for me to have on the menu. She said she didn't know, but she also didn't make any efforts to find out either. Long story short, I left with an allergic reaction to something that I had eaten, and it could've all been prevented if the staff had taken the time to care about its customers. Not impressed. I'll be taking my business to New Orleans Lunchbox from here on out.

In Huntsville for a couple of days and was looking for some good eats. I found this place highly recommended on both Yelp and Trip Advisor. I thought it was a good sign when we pulled up the other night and all of the parking spots on both sides of the restaurant were taken. It must be a hot spot! I wasn't sure if we could legally park in the adjacent lot but fortunately someone was just pulling out in front. We step inside and are greeted and told there's up to a 30 minute wait. No problem. We stood in the narrow hallway by the entrance and bathrooms. We were seated in about 25 minutes. Drinks were served and our order taken quickly. My husband's cup of gumbo came out right away and was okay. Nothing to write home about. ONE HOUR LATER (no exaggeration - we knew because we texted a friend about a take-out order for them when we sat down) our food came. Waiting that long pretty much ruined the whole experience. No one should have to wait an hour for food. Ridiculous! Maybe some delicious food will make up for it? Let's see... My shrimp po boy was mediocre. I didn't like the bland heavy bread it was served on. My husband wasn't happy about his catfish po boy. The cajun fries were good but cold. I'm sure they would have tasted better if they were served hot! The sweet tea was the only thing that was good, and that's just not enough for any stars. So we waited that long for cold fries and a mediocre sandwich. The waitress knew we were waiting a long time so she would keep offering to fill up our sweet tea and even asked if we wanted a cup to go. Not a good beverage to keep chugging with so much sugar content. A couple of young guys seated near us sipped their beers to kill time. It was sad to see this elderly couple seated near us wait so long for their food. There were some guys dressed in plain clothes serving and clearing tables. One of them came up to clear our table and I was like "who is this guy?!" before realizing he actually worked there. Anyway, big disappointment. Nothing spectacular that would make me come back.

By far, the best cajun in Huntsville. and have you ever had a cold beer in a frosted plastic cup???? the down side is it's always packed. I love the gumbo - and the crab cakes with remoulade. i'm hungry just thinking about it.

Order the jerk chicken po boy and ask for a bottle of hot dam sauce...Best sandwich in Huntsville!

The food was out of this world. I ended up with the Club Po-Boy, and I really enjoyed it. My husband got the Seafood Platter, and he said it was amazing. But the star of our dinner was the appetizer, Sloppy Fries (roast beef over fries with cheese). If you come here, you must try the sloppy fries... Delicious! Amazing service. Our waiter, Steve, was warm, friendly, and he made great suggestions. The other staff members were friendly too, but Steve was beyond great. Easy to access. We're in Huntsville for the Space Center, and this isn't far at all. Very easy to find for us directionally challenged out-of-towners. Simply put, this place exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. And... The prices were very reasonable.

We've been to Po Boy Factory many, many times, but hadn't been there in a while when we went a week ago. The food was still excellent, no complaints there. The best grilled shrimp in town, in my opinion. The wait staff was just as good as the food; friendly and reliable. When we first started going the décor was eclectic and fun. However, now the restaurant is run down, dirty, and just plain nasty. It's not clean, the floor is filthy and the chairs are torn up and stained. There was food on the kitchen floor, a lot of it. It was gross. They seem to still be doing very well, I wish they'd gut the place and clean it up. There health food rating was not where customers could see it. Maybe they could call Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible or the guy from Hell's Kitchen. The place needs a serious overhaul. Please? We want to go back but won't until they clean it up.

Stopped in for dinner by myself and ordered the fried shrimp PoBoy one evening. The seemed to Be hand breaded and was good. The sandwich as a whole was lacking though. The fries were fair but cold. The Restaurant is old and outdated . The service was prompt but they were very slow!

  • Elizabeth B.

I made the mistake of having my first po boy experience at Parkway Tavern in New Orleans and it was the best thing I ate on that trip. Now every one I have ordered since then has failed to measure up. Po boy factory was not a bad experience, but definitely not top tier. The breading on the shrimp was thin, flaking off, and needed seasoning and the French bread had no substance (and was dry). My experience in the south has been that it is difficult to find good bread and bakeries. My husbands jerk chicken was pretty bland. The location is great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fun. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means, but with all the other food options in Huntsville we probably will not return.

We had lunch here today I had a roast beef po boy and my friend had the grouper sandwich. Both were wonderful. My roast beef was extremely messy, but great flavor. We also tried red beans and rice which were really good. All in all a good solid 4... service was good, friendly and prompt. It's a quirky place with good atmosphere and the food was great!

    (4)
  • Tonia W.

We had the Sloppy fries which were out of this world... I could take that roast beef and put it on a shoe and it would be good :)... We had a basket with shrimp and catfish which were cooked to perfection. The service was FAST which to two hungry ladies after driving from Atlanta was a welcomed attraction.

The fried oyster plate was wonderful!! Don't go often since it's hard to get in at lunch and the service is slower (but to be expected when having seafood).

  • Jerry C.

I have no problem with giving this 5 star rating, but exclusively for the food. Actually, I loved the ambiance, but if you want a restaurant with white table cloths and a pleasant hostess, don't come here. I had the étouffée - awesome! A great spicy kick with plenty of crawfish. The coleslaw was perhaps the best I ever had. My colleague had red beans and rice in addition to the étouffée. He was equally pleased. And the hush puppies were very good. In the mood for Cajun? Come here and you will leave with a smile.

Great place to go for some fried goodness and cold domestics. Friendly staff goes a long way but I prefer Saturday when the side building is open and the crawfish are boiling.

If you are looking for some authentic New Orleans style food, this is the place to go. The food is great, reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is cute and unique. They have a wide selection of food, and all of it has been good so far.

I love Cajun food. Real authentic Cajun food. This place hit the mark! A friend and I got bowls of étouffée, jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice and it was all AMAZING!! You will not leave there hungry. It was the best jambalaya I've ever had. The folks there are so friendly, and with as busy as it was very prompt and attentive! Great atmosphere. And great prices! Will be back again next time I'm in Huntsville

Wow! I've never had crawfish before but it was delicious at Po Boy Factory. I had the Scruffy Special. It came with a 6 in Po boy with fries, and I also got red beans and rice. It was all great!

  • Matthew S.

Really great local spot for Cajun. Out of towners take a trip for it. Great little dive, wonderful staff, and good food for not too much. Found it at random while driving a loop around town. Doubled back and stopped in because it looks so out of place. Good heat and nice flavors.

  • Cory D.

The food was excellent, hot and fresh. The service fast and courteous. However, be prepared for a less than impressive dining room with paper plates and plastic knives and forks. They have been a little creative with the space, but it is clear that most of the focus has been put on the food rather than the decor. It's important to note that although the decor was cheap the restaurant was very clean. Well in the end if you want some really good food and service and don't mind the cheaper seating and plastic utensils than this is a great choice.

    (4)
  • Brandi K.

Not crazy about this place at all. I have tried several of their specialities and they have all left me wanting. I think that for the service and the food, everything is over priced. This place seems to be a favorite of Huntsville but I just don't get the appeal.

    (2)
  • Rebecca B.

You can't go wrong with the food! For a Cajun place outside NOLA it ain't half bad...tasty, hot & decent portions! No frills decor & a hole in the wall at that. Good friendly service!

  • Jasmin H.

Although an hour has passed since I ate my meal from the Factory, I'm still grinning with delight! My aunt, dad and I decided to keep it classic and ordered Shrimp PoBoys and I got the étouffée while they got gumbo. While we waited for our to go order we admired the super festive New Orleans decor along with all the sports team banners (shoutout to the Steelers banner, Black and Yellow represent!!) One word: Mindblowingly Epic (ok so that's two words, one of which is made up but I can't help it!). The PoBoy had just enough shrimp and the bread was good enough without being too crispy. My étouffée was yummy with just enough spice. The only complaint was my dad said his gumbo was lacking in flavor but to be fair he's picky since he cooks his own slammin version lol. Also the sweet tea was good and not too sugary just the perfect mix! When I'm in town I will def drop in again and try out the other PoBoy combos or maybe even the frog legs! Lol

This is one of Huntsville's best dives! Every time we've been they were covered up, that's always a good sign! I really enjoy the ambiance and the food. Its a very laid back place and the servers are very nice. Its kind of like a mini vacation when you go eat here!

So very very crowded at lunch but it was DELICIOUS! There is very little parking and no standing room for the crowd of waiting people but those are the only negatives I found. Just tell them your name and find a place to squeeze your hungry hiney while you stare at the other patrons chowing down on the food you want. I ordered a blackened grouper po'boy and etouffee. I was initially disappointed I couldn't get grilled shrimp on the po'boy so I settled for the blackened grouper. But it turns out I didn't settle for anything. The grouper was delicious, full of flavor, moist, buttery, perfectly cooked, (I could go on) and a perfect fit for the flaky bread. There's an array of sauces on the table to top your sandwich so at least one should tickle your fancy. This was my first go at etouffee and I definitely think I found a new favorite dish. It was a small bowl but offered plenty of meat and a spicy bite that had me begging my spoon to find just one more bite. Give it a try and do yo momma proud. The Reason it's on my Top 100 Dishes to Try: etouffee Blackened grouper po'boy List: The BEST etouffee I've ever had.

Visited for the third time last Friday for lunch. Go early as the place fills up quickly. There are a lot of great choices on the menu. I had the shrimp and catfish combo basket; really enjoyed it! The waitresses are great and the food comes out fast and hot. You can't go wrong here. The portions are just right and the prices are good too. Good place for lunch!

Classic cajun spot. Sodas and beers by the can. Family pics decorate the tables, masquerades and more on the walls. Lots of fried stuff, and a little expensive. Come when crawfish are in season so you can avoid the deep fryer. Good bread pudding.

Very good food! This was our second time eating at Po Boy Factory. It was as good as I remembered and my husband said that he forgot how delicious it was! We both had Crawfish Po-Boys which were very good and the Cajun fries served with them were excellent as well. I had the étouffée and my husband had the jambalaya which were both delicious. For dessert we split the bread pudding which was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Everything we tasted was superb!

Responding to another reviewer - we parked our large crossover SUV (Acadia) and didn't have a problem getting out of the lot, though we did have to back out into the (not busy) street. Definitely don't expect fine dining - styrofoam plates/bowls and plastic cutlery are the norm. The service was very friendly, the etouffee (first time for me!) was delicious and quite spicy, and the club poboy / muffaletta sandwiches my kids let me try were also tasty. Definitely glad we chose this for our road trip mission to only eat at local establishments, avoiding chain restaurants at all costs. :)

The staff was amazing, but I was a little disappointed otherwise. I understand the décor, but the chairs need replacing, there is no need to have ripped chairs in a restaurant. I ordered the catfish Po Boy and Cajun Fries. The catfish was cooked well, but needed a little salt. The Cajun fires were a little weird for me. They were a little thin for a French fry, but not quite thin enough to be a chip, but the seasoning on them were really good. I would be back, but not what I expected form all of the hype about it.

What a great place. The food was good and lots of of it. Each of my family of four ordered something different but all were delicious. I can't wait to go back We had a bit of a wait to be seated but the people who worked there including the owners were just so nice and seemed to appreciate that we chose to dine at their restaurant instead of some of the bad attitudes I usually get when dining out in other restaurants. Please preserve this place is for people who love good food and enjoy good people who make a place special. This is NOT a place to take someone who is pretentious as the decor is very down home and comfy- not so much for the "white linen table cloth" set.

I absolutely love The Po' Boy Factory! I have had the jambalaya, mahi mahi, grouper, red beans and rice, and gumbo. They are all fantastic and remind me of being in NOLA. If you're looking for a fun, casual atmosphere with very affordable seafood, look no further! The bread pudding is outstanding, too!

No frills authentic Louisiana Cajun restaurant. Everything was fried - perhaps not the healthiest of choices, but everything sure was tasty. Fried Pickles and Potatoes - A+. Gumbo - A+ Po Boy Sandwiches = A Jambalaya =A. Non stop Iced Tea - what is not to like here. Friendly service. Expect a wait if you go at peak times - it is worth the wait.

Po Boy Factory is located in an almost residential section of Huntsville. The restaurant itself is in a real cool house like building. The parking lot out front is tiny. I barely made it out of the Po Boy Factory lot with a subcompact car. Would hate to try it in a large SUV. Would describe the Po Boy Factor atmosphere as Mardi Gras wild and colorful. The restaurant furnishings and utensils are simple and rustic. Service here is quick, friendly, and efficient. Po Boy Factory puts enough sauces on each table to satisfy any taste. At the suggestion of one of my fellow Yeeps I tried the Blackened Grouper Po Boy and the Cajun fries. Po Boy Factory lets you choose your topping on your Po Boy (lettuce, tomatoes, sauces, etc.) That Blackened Grouper Po Boy was the best sandwich I have ever had. The Cajun fries were round cut fried potatoes. My Cajun fries were so flavorful that they didn't even need sauce. To my Po Boy and fries dinner I added a cup of Jambalaya. Goodness sakes that cup of Jambalaya was about the best cup of anything this Oregonian has ever tasted. Will have to confess that my exposure to Louisiana food had been Popeye's restaurants. The word "authentic" gets beat to death on Yelp. I don't care if the food at Po Boy Factory is authentic Louisiana cuisine. Would much rather judge a restaurant on its own merits. Judging Po Boy Factory on its own merits this is one great restaurant to enjoy the delicious and flavorful food of Louisiana!

Good food, good service. Crowded but all was good. Had the Oyster Po Boy. Fries were extra tasty.

I have been going here for years. The food is always awesome, the service is fast and friendly. The family that runs it are good people and the employees always seem genuinely happy to be working there and not bitter and resentful of people in general- I'm a jaded restaurant veteran so I know how to spot those ;) The Mahi Mahi is probably my favorite thing but they have great burgers that are fire grilled and only $5 and they come with a side of fries! You can't beat that even at a crappy fast food place you pay more for a meal and get low quality food. Keep up the goodness guys!

Totally love this local restaurant! Love the atmosphere!! Has a lot of old pictures and New Orleans themes stuff! I love the vintage dive-ish thing they got going on. There are two different restaurants that have the same menu just located right next to the main one. The fired green beans are to die for!!!! :) The hot damn sauce is super awesome as well!! It is definitely a place I will always return to! It also is pretty authentic New Orleans food! I'm pretty sure it I remember reading that the owner are from there :) The owners are also super nice and are at the restaurant a good bit always introducing themselves. If your in the Huntsville area you have got to try this place. Im pretty sure they are close on Mondays. Cheers!!!

Poboy was delicious! Service was quick and friendly! Didn't quite live up to the hype but it's a small restaurant with cheap food and I didn't get the impression they were trying to be more then that or even care what people on sites like yelp think.

Po Boy Factory was one of the best restaurants I've been to since moving to Huntsville. Great, friendly service with delicious food. I shall return. The Po Boy and Gumbo were delicious and I also finished off my wife's grilled Mahi Mahi, great flavor. I may not brush my teeth tonight.

This was our first time eating here and both the food and service were excellent. Everything was fast and hot. We will definitely eat here again.

Much has been said about the PBF's seafood, but my favorite is the Roast Beef Po'Boy. Sweet mother of Artemis - this has got to be the most savory roast beef I have *ever* had, and I have had my share. One bite and I am in ecstasy. Try it when you come back the second time - otherwise, you might not want the seafood!

Great meal! Started with the shrimp / crab dip which was amazing. For the entree, I had the grouper po boy. This is a must-have. The bread they use is amazing.

Great restaurant. The service was excellent. I had the key lime burger with grouper and it was awesome! My girlfriend had the jerk chicken poboy and it was also good. We will definitely be back!

Came here to grab dinner one night while on a business trip. The staff is friendly and waited for me since I got there past closing. I don't often have Po Boys being from the Mid-Atlantic. I got a shrimp and oyster po boy and a bowl of Jambalaya. The Jambalaya was good but not fantastic. The po boy was great though! Some cocktail and tartar sauce...and I don't know what they put in the mayo but it is great. You won't go wrong here!

went last saturday on the recommendation of a friend, and went EARLY!! we got there at 5:30 with tables to spare, but when 6 hit it filled FAST. service was slow, but can't really blame them, too few servers and tons of tables, but the people they had never stopped moving. loved the drinks served in styrofoam cups, it made me giggle and my ice didn't melt, yay! mom had a little bowl of gumbo which was pretty good (i had a taste), with just a little heat. mom and dad both had oyster poboys, i had a 1/2 oyster 1/2 crawfish poboy since i'd never had fried oysters and couldn't commit to a full one. both sides were very very tasty and i liked the bread it came on, nice and toasy and hollowed so more critters could go inside. yuuuummm. i threw their sauce on too, the one that wasn't the tartar sauce (too sweet for my taste, but that's just me). it had no distinct flavor for my palate except spicy, which i liked a lot. gotta love something that has no flavor but is spicy, right? matched up nicely with the crawfish. the sandwich was a good size with lots of stuffins, and i left feeling satisfied but not stuffed, and probably could have split a dessert. will do next time, and there will surely be a next time. i took of one star for the gaudy as all get out mardi gras themed interior with pink walls. it was so absurd, but it still made me giggle.

Great food. I always end up getting the oyster po boy. I love the fries. Depending on when you get there at lunchtime during the week there may be a short wait, but it's usually not long. The entire staff is really friendly and the servers are attentive.
