Good food, great service. I was really pleased with what I ordered and they even give everyone seperate checks if requested! My cousin thought her food tasted weird, like chemically. They took it away, apologized, sent the manager over and comped it. She wasn't angry and would still go back. They kept offering to make her something else, but she declined. Did I say great service? lol

Growing up in the south and coming back after 10 yrs in CA, this is the real deal. Great authentic Mexican. Good salsa, pico de gallo, great carnitas, cheap quality tequila, avocados, cilantro, and guacamole. If you think mex is ground beef in a soupy red cheese sauce and velveta (queso) is actually dairy- this is not your place. If you love pulled pork-try the carnitas plate, it's fantastic!

Their salsa is the best I have ever eaten. Quick service and very attentive servers. The menu is vast and offers authentic Mexican cuisine as well as creative and Tex-Mex dishes. The atmosphere is fantastic. Very colorful with perfect lighting. Very clean. Fantastic food and very reasonable prices. Margaritas are out of this world.

Casa Blanca offers great food with incredibly quick table service. Nice, bright decor is well-thought out and lends to cheerful atmosphere. Plenty of parking in shared lot (across from Grissom high school). A new favorite!

I've been to Casa Blanca probably 10 times in the last year. Why? It's a favorite of my folks and where they like to take out-of-town guests, for some reason. And honestly, sometimes CB is just my substitute for Little Rosie's, which you don't dare brave during the lunch hour. The good: 1. Salsa - right on. Super spicy and I like to pour it over all my food. If the salsa is too spicy, try the queso. Yum. 2. The Chili Chapin, a stuffed poblano pepper with a spicy red sauce, is on special right now and is freaking delicious. The menu is pretty large, so take your time going through it. You'll find the usual stuff. 3. I've never had to wait for a table, even during the lunch rush or dinner rush. Overall the servers are super prompt taking orders and refilling drinks. The so-so: 1. After much experimentation, I've decided I don't care for their crunchy tacos. I think it's the consistency of the beef, which is simply topped with white cheese and iceberg lettuce. It's just kind of....blah. I've also tried their nachos, which seemed run-of-the-mill, and have often ordered enchiladas ala carte at either lunch or dinner. Again, okay, but nothing that really knocks your socks off. Also, their margs are good but heavy on the mix - you'll get a buzz, but they're a little too sweet for my taste. (And let me clarify - I'm not drinking right now because I'm prego, but I'm speaking from past experience here.) 2. Sometimes it's difficult to straighten out a misorder. This has only happened once, and we ended up just eating the misorder to keep things simple. Overall, I think this place is OK and I know it's popular with Huntsvillians. But if you really want a tasty taco, I'd direct you to El Cazador or Little Rosie's. Happy hunting. Tip: Check their website for a few coupons. Doesn't hurt.

I had the steak tacos and my husband had the enchiladas. My steak tacos were good, but they had bacon in with the steak. It was a weird taste. My husbands beef enchiladas didn't come with chili sauce on top. I have never been to a mexican place that served them that way. They food was ok. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything to go back for wither.

The waiters have been repeatedly disrespectful. They seem to be more interested in humiliating customers than in serving food.

Very enjoyable. Pretty extensive menu. I like the Los Cabos shrimp and the spinach enchiladas. The margaritas and "big mug" of dos equis is also a plus.

I LOVE this place! Whenever all of my friends are I are in town we make a date to go to Casa Blanca! The food is great and the prices are incredible! Definitely try the Chicken and Rice- it sounds really simple and lame, but it's ADDICTIVE!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
