Sooo the decor is outdated but the 94 health rating made it doable. No personality but plenty of potential. Service was okay in a straight to the point kind of way. If people only knew the difference a smile can make. The time to receive my food was fine. I enjoyed the simple salad and the shrimp arrived on time. The meal was a bit basic lots of plastic cups for condiments and the baked potato simple and plain. No bacon or cheese. If you're looking for simple lunch during work hours it will do.

It won't let me leave zero stars. It has been 20 yrs since I last ate here and it will be longer than that before I return. Service was awful . Food was even worse. I would have got better from a from a frozen box at a gas station. Zero atmosphere. Very sad that this is considered a good dining experience I Dothan Alabama.

In Dothan on business and met friends that came by and picked me up for dinner. All the major chains are in this area and they take me here. Yes you walk in and it's outdated. I ordered the 10oz Rib Eye and Blackened Grouper with a sweet potato. First, the yeast roll they bring are very good and yeasty and tastes even better when sopping up the steak juice. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and was a good cut of meat. The grouper was outstanding and I didn't leave anything on my plate. I came back the last night before going back home and to check consistency, which is always a challenge for a restaurant and had the ribeye with blackened shrimp. Steak was as great as before and the shrimp was super fresh. As I was leaving I see a seafood truck from Panama City leaving from back. If I had another night I would order the red snapper or grouper... I enjoyed both meals here. Nothing fancy, just a good solid dinner, albeit a little pricey when combining grouper with steak, but beef is thru the roof and I don't have a boat so it was a pretty good deal.

When walking in, it has pretty out dated decor. But I'm there to eat, so I can live with it even if it felt like sitting at gma's house. The food was real good. I ordered a steak 'Medium' and it had just the right amount of pink in the middle. I would go back if I'm back in town

First time visitor, we came to meet a bunch of our family before the gathering and it was great, service was good and Mahi Mahi was good. I did not see any reason not to revisit and I'm a health inspector, food critic!

Food was good. Service was okay, not as friendly or helpful as other places in Dothan. I would try it again.

Nothing to write home about. Food ok prices on the high side. Service was the best feature. About half the menu items were not available. Probably will not go back.

Home field. Big steaks, certified black angus with a proprietary sauce. Yeast rolls, hot and fresh. Fresh REAL grouper. This is where you go, if u want genuine gulf seafood, without the beach prices. Sides are good, and apps are strong enough to stand alone. Stuffed grouper is my wife's favorite.

Loved the food! Loved the service! Our waitress Amanda G. was outstanding!! My husband, son, and I had the shrimp and Grecian Grouper, NY strip and the crab cakes!! The food was beyond wonderful. We had plenty to eat and had to take some home. We went the night before Mother's day and I even received a free Strawberry Short Cake. We will definitely be back!!

Old Mill is using a thinner steak in an effort to cut their costs. Unfortunately this destroys quality since the cook has no idea how to cook these thinner steaks. The same piece of meat can range from rare to hockey puck. My fried shrimp were incredibly salty. The crab claws were not good. The French onion soup was way too salty also. Get a new chef or we won't be back. Absolutely not worth the money.

Good home cooked dinner. Side salad was a little small, dinner rolls were good, very hardy. Crab cakes were pretty good.

Just wanted to leave an update bc we called management at restaurant today to alert them of staff shortfalls and they have assured us they will be addressing the issues listed. Hopefully this is the case.

Our family was driving around Dothan....not WANTING to eat anywhere....but knowing we HAD to eat somewhere. :-( We have three kids, we were tired, and didn't feel like dealing with much. We were very presently surprised with Old Mill. Their staff was super nice, their atmosphere was calming. Our waiter tended to our every need perfectly, the food was to die for, the place was spotless, and the bill wasn't bad. We definitely plan to go there again.

Prepare to be impressed. The food is second to none. Great atmosphere and great location. Food that melts in your mouth. If this place don't light your fire, your wood is wet.

OMGoodness! Well, I have absolutely no complaints here. I actually commented to my husband during my meal that I hadn't enjoyed my food while eating out as much as I did here in a long time. Appetizers: we had blue crab claws and they were excellent and very meaty. Entrees: Prime rib - best cut of meat ever and prepared excellently. Rib eye- fabulous! Again, prepared perfectly and the seasoning was just right too. Reminded me of the flavor of old "steak houses" when they were privately owned. Prepared with excellence. Crab cakes: best ever!! The sauce was amazing! Sweet potatoes: perfect texture. Not burnt or undercooked. And the cinnamon butter was delightful! To top it off the rolls were sourdough muffins just like the lunchroom. Lol. They were awesome too! I can hardly wait to get the opportunity to go back. The service was warm, friendly, and tea was good too!! (you know sweet sweet tea is important)

The Jalapeno bread had some promise, but at our table of 3, they only brought 1 piece and didn't have any more to bring out, so no one else at my table was able to try it. The fish was ok. The steak was pretty awful and mostly fat. Would I go back? Pshhh.

Old Mill is one of our favorite places to go for seafood in Dothan. The steaks are good too. Fried shrimp is always excellent, not too greasy at all. I really like the fried crab claws as well. The last time I was there the service left much to be desired.. but hoping it was just an off night. The decor has not been updated, but it's clean and well-ran. If you're looking for seafood in Dothan, choose Old Mill over Hunt's.

Had a rehearsal dinner at the Old Mill in their private party room. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. One of our guests said that the steak was the most tender he has ever tasted. Most definitely recommend the Old Mill Ice Cream Pie - delicious!
