So we were driving home from a wedding in Alabama, and we were super hungry, so Burritos sounded amazing!! After yelp searching we came across their lovely place. We ordered takeout, because we were in a hurry to get home... And oh my goodness I don't know if it was because the extent of Mexican food for us is Chipotle, but these burritos were probably the best we have ever had! We will definitely stop by again if we are in this town.

We have been here twice so far. The service has been fantastic! And the food is better than the service. The place is very clean and well kept. I mostly order the tacos de traditionalis. They are great and the meat is tender and tasty.

Took wife and family out for early Mothers Day thing. Great service. My drink never emptied. In fact it was refilled by the time I had drunk half. The food came within 10 minutes of us ordering. My son gave specific instructions for his taco and they honored every request. All the food was great. Highly recommend.

Great mexican restaurant. I see why it is rant and raved about. However, La Bama is still my favorite and not nearly as packed or loud.

Great place for quality Mexican food! We went for my husband's birthday and loved it. The food is just so good, especially compared to a lot of smaller Mexican places. You pay the price for the nicer food, but as a treat it's definitely worth it!

Not bad, but super commercialized. Food is a little greasy and service isn't the best. The prices are slightly higher than other Mexican places in the area, but they probably have a much higher overhead at this building than the other local Mexican joints. I'll probably end up going back eventually but won't be making a special trip to do so.

Good, clean restaurant with great atmosphere but Rodeo Mexican Restaurant is much better.

Very good service, defiantly one of the better Mexican food restaurants around the area. Foods not bad, nothing spectacular though. Inside ambiance and music is great, and who can resist warm tortilla chips? Will defiantly come back again when in the Area.

Our favorite TexMex style restaurant. Service is usually good. Have been there when we got lost in the crowd. It can get a little noisy like any busy restaurant. It doesn't bother us. My wife and I always get the Texas fajitas w shrimp steak and chicken for 2. The caso cheese dip is really good. Best I have had anywhere.

About what you'd expect from a chain; Good, consistent quality, but nothing exciting. The ambience was legit and, after a rough start, the service was good as well.

My fav Mexican restaurant in Dothan. Coming from Phoenix, AZ, I have high expectations. You won't find better in Dothan. Love the fish tacos. Lunch specials are great. You get a free drink. I like the Enchiladas Especial: chicken, bean, beef. Yummy. Lots of food, it fills the whole plate. Full bar. Service is always polite and they have delicious Mexican.

We have eaten at La Parrilla twice during our regular Dothan trips. At our first visit, it took a while to get seated despite an empty restaurant, and later found they were having a team meeting before dinner rush. However, the excellent service more than made up for the wait. The food was very good. We ordered the tableside guacamole, which was creamy, flavorful and was seasoned perfectly. I had the taquitos, as they had no cheese. The tortilla was crisp and crunchy and the brisket was moist and melt-in-your-mouth tender without being oily or greasy. Their refried beans were creamy and very tasty. I sampled the Mexican rice, which had a nice flavor, but I concentrated on the proteins. The Boy ordered his favorite dish, Chilis rellenos. These were prepared with poblano peppers at La Parilla, and he always asks for chicken in his peppers. He devoured them like a starving zombie. I didn't hear anything from him but mumbling and munching sounds for the duration of the meal. He was extremely happy with the seasonings, flavor, and texture of his meal. Portions were huge, and I had to ask for a to-go box for my meal. The Boy managed to finish his, as always. Since it was our first visit, we were offered (and accepted) complimentary tastes of a sopapilla dessert with cinnamon and chocolate. It was a nice, light ending for our meal. We left sated and very happy. Our second visit was similar. We arrived about an hour later than the prior visit, and had the same meal. Again, the meals were delicious, well seasoned and enjoyable. Service was very good and staff were clearly well-trained in this restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully designed and decor is beautiful. Seating is comfortable and the noise level is moderate to high depending on the day/time. We'll definitely be back when we go back to Dothan.

Excellent customer service, nice patio dining, good margaritas and plenty of menu options to suit everyone in your party. Of course a far cry from Ensenada (even though they claim to serve Ensenada tacos), but this is Dothan afterall. Chips, salsa, guac, sopa de papas, plus a guava margarita & call it a meal.

I really like the Taco Laco. The service is usually excellent, never had to wait a big long time.

The local hotel recommended this place. I have to say, good call!! Very, very crowded on a Friday night, guess there are not a lot of choices in Dothan - had a 30 minute wait. Chicken soup was as good as I have had in Mexico - the skirt steak entree was nice and tender. Portion was a little on the short side - lots of beans and rice. I would stop by again if I am in town

This is my fav Mexican restaurant in all of my regional travels. The thin salty chips & pretty spicy fresh salsa are on the table when your butt hits the seat & the service is awesome. I'm a huge fan of the chicken Taco Loco and do NOT miss the La Parilla dip (white cheese dip with grilled steak, shrimp & chicken mixed in it)! Awesome!

Love the atmosphere, you get seated right away even during the busiest hours . Food always comes right out, is extremely fresh, and insanely delicious. The price is a little steep so we only go on date nights. Cant afford to feed the whole crew here lol. The guacamole is the best Ive ever had. Makes me hungry thinking about it.... Mmmmm

Possible one of the best Mexican restaurants in Dothan. Delicious food, great staff and very good atmosphere. The rice and beans are especially delicious. Haven't had many food that I was disappointed in. The margaritas are a bit smaller than I'm used to but still pack a big punch. I highly recommend. Try to avoid the traffic by goin on a weekday or before dinner. This place is pretty popular.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. Staff was friendly, place was clean and looked nice. I had fish tacos for the first time and they were great. My husband had chicken fajitas for one but it was enough to feed two. Finished the meal off with fried Ice cream that was the best I have tasted!

Had to ask three times for my daughters rice and My tortillas.when my fajitas came out they had a knot that was part of the plastic bag in it . I'm very patient person but come on. The atmosphere is nice and as soon as I started to pull the plastic bag out of my food the manager did ask what he could do to make it right. And I asked for the same plate. I understand accidents happen. It was ok when it came back out which was pretty quick. But the place is overrated the service is definitely lacking . The manager said he would make it right and he did by taking my fajitas off . I love mexican food but there are way better places. With better service

Reviews from around the table: The cheese sauce is the bomb. The staff was very friendly. The food was very tasty. They have 32 oz beer which is cool. It's easily the best mexican food in Dothan.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
