Ordered a couple of slices to eat in. Pizza is different than you will find at most regional restaurants, it has thick crust and a very distinct seasoning. Not cookie cutter at all.

Ordered delivery. Food was excellent. Portions were huge! Delivery guy was cool. The chicken broccoli alfredo, chicken parm, garlic knots, and salad all came out perfectly. Definitely ordering from here again. They're close enough that I'll probably visit, too!

This place is a disgrace for a pizza place. The delivery guy leaves your food on the floor, their main priority when you actually sit in the pizzeria is to get the orders out. How does it take 45min to warm up a slice of pizza inside the pizzeria? The pizza is always hit or miss. Do you want a reliable pizza place? Well this is no where near this. The owners should be ashamed of themselves

Scant stars. Their link said that the wait time was 30-45 minutes. I ordered a simple salad about 1.5 hours ago, and still no delivery. I called once when an hour went by, and was polite. I called a second time, and asked for the owner's name. The person who identified themselves as a "manager" said that it was Steve Bledsoe, but wasn't sure. I asked him...you're the manager, and you don't know who the owner is?! That could be the problem!!

I love Dakota Pizza. I have been ordering out and eating in from here for many years, and it keeps getting better and better. Dakota is constantly updating their decor and their menu and I haven't been disappointed yet. This past weekend I was helped by a very nice young man behind the counter who gave me excellent customer service. This was a refreshing experience as often cashiers at pizza places aren't as diligent and welcoming as this guy was. I will definitely be back for the food - and service!

Decent food and decent pizza but incredibly long delivery times. And don't bother asking for anything well done or crispy as it all gets packed in foil bowls with kids and shows up (cold) and soggy. Wet, soft onion rings. So gross. Don't bother ordering delivery from here until they change some delivery methods around.

I know, everyone has their favorite pizza place. Well, if you don't have one yet and are on the Main Line, try Dakota. The pizza is fairly good for the area. Not NY style, but kind of a fluffy crust with a good sauce (not sweet) and toppings. They also make good cheese steaks, and the italian steak with broccoli rabe and provolone is worth a try. It's been our regular place for takeout for years. They also have a small eating area and by the slice if you want to eat there.

I've had delivery and eaten in here and both were well above average, especially for the area. The hot wing pizza is incredible, and the slices are quick and tasty, although a bit pricy for a college budget. Tuesday nights are half-price large pizza, which is a pretty great deal. The place is clean and the service is fast and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Ordered a pizza last month and a hamburger hoagie with sweet potato fries and pizza with white sauce and vegetables this evening. The food is excellent, delivery was quick, food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The price is reasonable as well. Great place to order with delivery.

The pizza isn't terrible, but it's nothing special. If you are looking for a great pizza place I'd keep looking. I love that you can order online, but if you do order online they are extremely slow. If you call it might take 45 minutes for delivery, but if you order online it will take something like an hour and a half.

ordered 2 sandwich from here yesterday around noon time. one of the sandwich wasn't ready yet when i got there. i can't believe the chef throw my sandwich on the floor... and the cashier lady pick it up and put it a bag with my othere sandwich.. i dont know if he noticed that i was standing... will not go back there anymore.

Clearly one of the best pizza, salad, sub shops in the PHILLY suburbs. Don' t waste your time elsewhere. These guys know what they're doing. Great menu. Very trendy.

Dakota Pizza messed up my order of two salads twice tonight (again!!!). I asked for my money back and had to wait two hours. A total of 3 hours to resolve one order. Never eating here again.

Definitely a go to place for take out pizza. The Monday and Tuesday deals are great. Very good cheesesteak as well. Never had a problem with an order or the service.

Friend brought me here years ago for their Big Dakota Burger. It was delicious so I came back today. Saw they added turkey and veggie burger options which is great. But even greater and what I ordered was their whole wheat pizza crust option. Delicious and tasty :)

The only thing I've EVER ordered from this restaurant is the Field Green Salad. It is soooooo awesome, that I sometimes wake up craving it and can't relax until I get one. I've heard from friends that everything on their menu is fresh and tasty. Only drawback is the "soup nazi" attitude. If you can deal with that, all is well.

Ok, maybe we hit this place on a bad night but boy was it bad. The pizza was ok at best. Even though it had pepperoni and sausage on it, there really was no taste to it. Even worse than the pizza was the order of fries. They were the smallest order I have ever received from a restaurant. The good news is that it was a small order because they were also tasteless. Now, I have had heard good things about this place and that's why I tried it. Unfortunately for them, with so many pizza places around, we will not be returning here.

Loved this pizza. They make a spinach white pizza exactly how I had it in NYC and have been looking for ever since. The Philly cheesesteak was also good.

Philly & the burbs are filled with neighborhood pizza/hoagie/pasta shops. Dakota is our neighborhood spot and it hits the mark just perfectly. We are there all the time for a chicken cheesesteak fix, a good quality salad or cheap pizza for their Monday night specials. It's never amazing... it's never bad... but it's good quality food at a fair price by friendly folks. Not a destination, but a great restaurant to have in the neighborhood.

I have had almost every item on their menu. For your neighborhood pizza joint, Dakota offers delicious and freshly prepared food at an affordable price. Their website makes ordering very convenient, as well. My favorite is the meatball parm sandwich, but the pizza, salads, desserts, and entrees are all exceptional.

An absolutely great hidden gem- this place takes your typical "pizza and steak" restaurant to new heights. The menu is expansive with plenty of options to keep vegetarians and other dietary restrictions happy. All of the bread is baked in house, including all rolls. Tons of toppings to personalize your pizza or sandwich with, including my favorites of sauteed wild mushrooms and a whole roasted chili. Ingredients are top notch, taste is excellent, and they have yet to miss. Get a cheesesteak with a roasted long hot pepper and enjoy. I drive over 20 minutes each way to get takeout- it's that good. The only downside is that the dining area is your typical pizza takeout joint: just a few tables and a fountain soda machine. Don't come expecting decor and a waitress.

I rarely eat the pizza here. It's OK, and they have lots of "gourmet" toppings, but at the end of the day it is a standard 'za. The real killer dish to order here is the cheese steak. People who rave about John's Roast Pork cheese steaks on Snyder can save themselves a trip down the Schuylkill. The seeded roll is reminiscent of the Carangi offering at John's. Normally I would decline a SEEDED roll for something as iconic as this Philly specialty, but when they are good, they are VERY good. The steaks are huge by most standards, so much so that it demands for the roll to be "scooped" ... a "bread-ectomy" if you will to keep the innards from sliding to the ground at the first bite. John's wisely does this by default (and I HOPE the excess ends up in stuffing or bread pudding somewhere) but Dakota's will gladly do this upon request. A scooped roll is ESSENTIAL if you order your steak with that fluorescent lubricant known as CheeseWhiz. In the suburbs, it is hard to find a cheese steak joint that serves Whiz. While Dakota's makes a nice sandwich with American by default (I save the Provolone for hoagies .. it does not melt well) sometimes there is no substituting the tangy unwholesomeness of fromage scooped from a hot can sitting on the grill. Cards not accepted, so bring cash. And don't worry .. there is probably not a safer place in Lower Merion as there are typically 2-3 local policemen chowing down there at any given time. I have never had a problem with service. I tell them what I want and they cook it. When it's done, they tell me and I eat it. Pretty simple process. I have never had an issue with too much mayonnaise on a steak sandwich because NOBODY SHOULD EVER EAT MAYONNAISE ON A STEAK SANDWICH. ... Sorry for the rant, but if you order a cheese steak HOAGIE you deserve whatever you get. If you want a hoagie, order a hoagie.

I like to think I have had all of the most hailed cheesesteaks in Philadelphia and the Main Line. I got this cheesesteak keeping my expectations in check because I don't always feel as though the ones rated the best are always deserving of the praise. The cheesesteak at Dakota (with hot and sweet peppers) was mesmerizing--the authentic cheesesteak equivalent of eating at a Marc Vetri or Jose Garces restaurant. I never take the time to write yelp reviews, but felt this was important to spread the word about. The Bread: the bread was of the sesame variety, but it was very soft, like an Amoroso roll. A Primos sesame roll this was not. The bread also did a wonderful job of keeping this large, cheesy cheesesteak from being unwieldy or messy. The bread never got soggy, and there was no grease. The Meat: There was an abundance of well-spiced beef in this sandwich, and unlike so many around, there was real flavor there. The Cheese: I chose the default American cheese, but Dakota's also offers provolone and whiz. It was well-melted and thoughtfully mixed into the sandwich. The Peppers: Above and beyond. Just the right amount were used, and they were actually hot peppers--not jalapenos or banana peppers. They complemented the sandwich well. Overall: The size of the cheesesteak was quite satisfying. It is roughly the same size as a Mama's cheesesteak, but I felt that it had much more flavor, much less grease, and no sogginess. When I opened the aluminum wrapping, what I saw here was a model cheesesteak--the picture of a cheesesteak you would see in an advertisement but never see in reality. This is hands-down the best cheesesteak I have had in my four years in Philadelphia. Despite its location, everyone should frequent this place. I have only had the cheesesteak, but I will be returning to try other foods. N.B. I did not detect any surliness or attitude from the establishment. In fact, they were very polite.

I used to work within walking distance to this place and while it was a convenient lunch option, i often avoided it...and it was all for one reason. The woman who runs the register is a massive jerk. If you think service should come with a smile, then you will be waiting a long time here. So that was years ago and I never went back until Friday night, my brother called in an order and asked me to pick it up before coming over. Despite the fact that it was a half hour wait already, by the time I got to the store, they still hadn't put the order in. So I sat and sat and waited for them to make the pizza and fries. After 20 mins, I got my order. I would think that a massive mistake like that would have warranted them to comp me in some way or another, but no. No free fries...and no smile either. Once home, the pizza sucked. How is it possible to have a soggy pizza with a burned bottom? The fries were also mushy...imagine soggy middle school cafeteria fries...it was like that but worse. I see other people complained about their service..and its a shame because I know one dude in there is super nice. Why the owners haven't revamped the whole staff, I don't understand. I am going back to avoiding them altogether.

There are different categories of food/drink related needs each of us have to fulfill. You need a good brunch spot, you need a good bar, you need a good diner, you need a good sushi place, you need a good steakhouse, etc. Many, if not all of us, also need a good take out/delivery joint. Enter: Dakota Pizza Company. Far and above the best delivery I've had in quite some time. One look at their menu and you'll know this isn't your standard cheesesteak & pizza shop. In addition to their extensive offerings of cheesesteaks, they offer ten different kinds of grilled panini sandwiches, thirteen kinds of "specialty sandwiches" and thirteen different kinds of hoagies made with ingredients such as sauteed spinach, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, homemade meatballs and crabcakes. They also have an italian dinner specialties section with such offerings like ravioli, pasta primavera & shrimp fra diavolo. I've ordered from here about four times so far and everything I've had has been of excellent quality and well made. Delivery has always been prompt, food arriving piping hot and with no errors whatsoever in my order. It's also reasonably priced. For example: A $45 order turned out to be a smorgasbord which could have fed four people easily. I've also ordered a full dinner and a sandwich for a mere $20. Keep doing what you do Dakota. You've earned a loyal customer. For stay-at-home evenings in the wilds of the western suburbs, it would be foolish to order from anyplace else.

I usually hit this place up when I'm on the area and they have some really good food. I had a slice of mushroom, salad, and clam chowder. Absolutely tasty and delicious. The staff makes you feel like you're family, no matter how often you've visited there. Steve, the owner, makes sure everyone is taking care of quickly. Couldn't give the 5 star since they didn't get my soup order correct right away but it was worth waiting for.

Just don't expect to get what you ordered. It doesnt matter what you order, they'll manage to give you something completely different. I have a feeling there is a language barrier between the person taking the order and the cooks that make it. Bottom line is that it's just regular, expected bar food.

We heard the cheesesteaks were really good at Dakota. I was definitely impressed with the Chicken cheesesteak. The ingredients were good, and it wasn't insanely greasy. We also ordered a beef cheesesteak hoagie, which wasn't as impressive. Way too much mayo. We will definitely order again, and try the pizza next time.

Oh!!!! my god!! This place is so horrible. Having visited 32 states and hundreds of pizza restaurants, I can tell - this place is by far the worst. Women at the counter is a jerk as someone pointed out and RACIST. PERIOD.

Dakota is tucked into the back of a random shopping center and is easy to miss from the outside. I sought it out because it was close to home, but also because I had heard good things about their cheesesteaks. I decided to go against tradition and order my steak with American cheese instead of the standard Whiz. That steak was no joke. Plenty big, on an excellent hoagie roll (with sesame seeds, which was a surprise but worked). Tons of melted cheese, good quality meat. You probably won't see it listed among Philly's top cheesesteak spots, but in my humble opinion, Dakota's steak beats out several of the city's famous establishments.

I moved to Brooklyn after growing up in the area - and I have to say - OBVIOUSLY, the best pizza around is in Brooklyn, so my opinion is a bit skewed. BUT, having said that, coming home to visit and ordering an occasional pizza from time to time, this place is probably the best around!
