The Towne has a strong local following - most people are on a 'first name' basis with the waitstaff, which is nice. It is a popular place - at times it feels like the table next to you is 'on top' of you. Food has a strong PA dutch influence! Scrapple anyone?

I grew up going to the Towne Restaurant every Saturday morning. My parents and I would get up early and go to breakfast to start the day. I have NEVER had a bad meal here. By far my favorite place to go for breakfast. I can't say how much I love the homey feel, the friendly neighborhood staff and owners, and the fun, local atmosphere and clientele. I just love it. Yes, it's small. Yes, 90% of the time, you're going to have to wait for a table - make that 100% if you go for breakfast. But the food makes up for it. I can't really say too much about breakfast because I've only ever gotten an omelette and french toast. Their french toast is just delicious! Their lunch and dinner specials remind me of a home cooked Mennonite meal - delicious, filling, and full of calories. You'll always leave with a smile on your face!

I love this place!! Great service, excellent food. My favorite place to get breakfast!! The home fries are awesome, the eggs are cooked perfectly. Plenty of different breakfast options. The coffee is also very good. I have been there for lunch as well and enjoyed a awesome burger and fries as well. You can also just walk in and grab a seat at the bar and have coffee and breakfast.

My hubby was always talking about how good this place was for breakfast so I finally decided to give in and give it a try myself. I was not impressed. Our table was sticky with jelly. The food wasn't anything special and it felt very cramped inside. The only saving grace is that the employees are friendly. I'm glad others seem to like this place but I won't be back. Sorry.

Went there for breakfast. The food was great, the people were very nice and it was reasonably priced. what more could you ask for.

Wow was I disappointed. I'm hoping that it was because it was the weekend staff. Waited 22 minutes to order, than our food came out Luke warm. Our waitress dropped the bill and we never saw her again. Needed to ask the cashier for a take out box. Sad....I used to love this place.

This is a quaint homey place. Not quite a diner, but it is a thriving local breakfast/lunch type of joint. Good specials, my son and I usually eat here every Saturday morning. He loves the cheese omelets. The food is solid. The servers are all local kids.
